Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Full House (Now Closed)
2 AM in the French quarter of New Orleans.
The streets were typically fairly empty at this time of night and today was no exception. An occasional person or small group would pass, but the majority of the streets were completely dead. Colourful lights still flickered in various doorways accompanied by rustic streetlights that overall left the area fairly dimly lit. The occasional creak of a shop sign and the patter of light rain being the only real sounds that stood out in the environment. As Cara walked down the street she stuck to the shadows to make sure that nobody would notice her presence. Raindrops bounced off of her brown leather trench coat as she walked with an average pace towards her destination. In recent weeks she had come across some e-mail correspondence that had suggested a very high stakes poker game was going to be taking place at an undisclosed location along this road. Normally this wouldn’t be something she would involve herself in, yet she knew that every single attendee was a criminal. Prostitution, drugs and who knew what else was financing the entire game. She could clean up the streets and maybe make a bit of money while she was at it. She had been reviewing security footage over the course of the day and had located one particular shop with very few customers but a large quantity of blacked out vehicles turning up. It was definitely the place.
As she reached the front door of the shop she noticed it had an automatic locking system in place. A six-digit pass code was required, which for Cara was about two seconds work. She placed her glove on the box and it clicked open allowing her to enter the inside of the shop. As she pushed the door open, she made her way in to the dark insides of what appeared to be a simple pawnshop, with random items and trinkets scattered all around the room. She edged her way further inside making sure to not disturb anything that could possibly make a noise and give away her advantage. Reaching inside her coat she removed a silence 9mm pistol, which was always her weapon of choice; preferring to stick to a stealthier option when possible. She moved silently towards a door at the back of the room, which she knew from building schematics would lead to a basement and probably where the game was taking place.
Suddenly a hand reached around and grabbed her from behind, pulling her in to a tight chokehold. Her gun was knocked from her hand and sent sprawling across the floor. The man was maybe 6 foot tall, fairly strong and an average weight. She should have watched her back as she was coming in but she never stopped to think about any guards outside. His grip intensified as he breathed heavily and spoke down her neck.
“So, what’s a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this?”
Leaning ever so slightly backwards Cara brought a hand up to the side of the mans face pulling him slightly closer to her.
“Well I just have a bit of a thing for bad boys…” She whispered seductively up towards his ear.
He laughed at what she had said and loosened his grip ever so slightly. That was what she had needed. In a split second she jammed her elbow right into the man’s ribs forcing him to recoil from shock and pain. She spun on the spot so that she could get a better look at the man, who had recovered from the stunning blow and was standing in a fighting stance. He was favouring his right side, maybe an old injury affecting his balance on the left. It was clear he was more of a brawler; old fashioned muscle with very little, if any, martial arts training. He ran forward and Cara calculated every single move that he was going to take; Duck, dodge, block left, block down. She brought a fist up and connected perfectly with the man’s jaw. As his head snapped back she grabbed a guitar that was sitting on a stand beside her and smashed it into his left side. He cried out in pain and fell down to his knees. A well-placed roundhouse kick launched the man into a bookcase, which crashed into the wall behind it, making a huge smashing sound. It was safe to say he’d be out for a while, his jaw would be dislocated and it was unlikely he’d find standing all that easy. Shouting began from downstairs, making it clear that she would soon have company.
“Here we go.”

Re: Full House (Now Closed)
With a flash of light, Jeisen crashed into the side of the building. He had lost focus of his form causing him to be pulled out of the sky by a source of metal. He shook his head, just laying there as the rain started to fall. He looked up into the sky bleary. He hated the rain... water in general. When he was a child, rain used to cause his form to spark and frighten others. Nowadays, he was better in control, but rain always brought back those memories. He sighed as he leaned against the building he crashed into, resting for a second. Right onto a metal pipe that lead underground into the basement. Unfortunately for Jeisen, he still was still groggy from the crash. He opened his eyes up wide as he released what was about to happen, however too late. He was conducted through the pipe and into the basement. He managed to pull himself free and out onto the ground.... where he looked up at a rather large group of not so friendly looking men.
Jeisen had no idea where he was or what the hell was going on, but these guys didn't look so friendly. They were surprised, but that wouldn't last long.
I can...
As soon as he tried to speak someone started reaching into a jacket. Not a good sign at all. Jeisen shoved off the ground with more strength then any normal human. The force sent him spinnign up right and on to his feet. Wasting no just staring at the guys, waiting to be shot, Jeisen moved forward. He kicked a table into a group of them and took off. Spotting the stairs, he sprinted up them. Not bothering to try and open it, Jeisen just lowered his shoulder as he came through it. He burst through, sending splinters flying everywhere and nearly collided with a... girl? With a dead guy. Jeisen gave her a puzzled look. Did Jeisen hurt the guy when he came through the door?
The hell..
Shouting behind him got worse. Sounds like they were hot on his heels after that little display.
No time to explain, but I think we should leave... Now
He drew two knives and turned back to the stairs, falling into his fighting stance. Both knives held in a reverse grip in front of him, his knees bent as he balanced on the palms of his feet. A ready stance to take down whoever came out of those stairs. Blue sparks crackled of his body as he waited for the girl to get going.

Re: Full House (Now Closed)
Having subdued the first criminal and hearing the incoming danger Cara decided it was time to retrieve her gun. As she moved closer to the door the shouting inside appeared to get even louder and was followed by a loud crashing sound and noises of pain. She bent down and placed her hand onto her gun, gripping it tightly as she could be in need of it at any second. Whilst still hunched over she heard what sounded like footprints running up the stairs and jolted backwards so she would have a clear view. Suddenly the door burst open, splintering off of its hinges as a young male erupted through it. The lens in her eye relayed everything that happened to SADIE, which analysed the boys face and revealed to her that he was not a threat. This was the only reason that her gun had remained by her side and was not currently inches from his skull.
Jeisen Winters. 19 years old. Considerably more likely to see the actual criminals as a threat. Good.
He flashed her a puzzled look before turning back to the stairs, clearly he believed that this was now his fight. He even attempted to tell her to leave, which she had absolutely no intention of doing. A strange blue kind of electricity was pulsing from the boy’s body, as he stood there readied for combat.
“Jeisen, these guys are bad news. You might want to take a few more steps back.”
As she finished the sentence a thug had reached the top of the stairs and was about to jump on Jeisen but he was very quickly interrupted by a bullet. Cara swung her gun around and fired a round directly into the man’s calf, rendering his left leg entirely useless, as the placement of the shot would have severed some very necessary tendons. As he slumped to the ground the screeching of tires could be heard from outside. Checking the footage of a security camera with SADIE, she could see the arrival of two large black SUV’s each with four heavily armed men inside of them.
“Well some smartass has called backup, you want outside or in?” she said turning to the boy standing in front of her, he looked like he would be able to handle himself in a fight but the assault rifles outside might beg to differ. However she had a plan to help if he chose that option.

Re: Full House (Now Closed)
Jeisen stood in front of the girl, knives raised and read to take down haut about anyone when she said his name.
His name.
Jeisen ha been gone, off the grid for years. Ever since he was a child. Hell he just returned to the states this year alone. Had he attracted some sort of attention? He hadn't done anything.. Nothing worth being watched for yet....
She knew his name
Jeisen was so directed he barely noticed the man about to jump him before the bullet took him down. That jarred him out of his stupor. He turned to her mouth open to say something when he heard te screech of tires outside. He paused looking out as tat the two vans. Hmph... Rapid response team coming to deal with the threat. Meta? Doubtful too expensive. So just humans and their guns. Should be easy. Jeisen pointed a knife out at them
"I'll go handle them, but we will have words later. Here... Just in case"
Jeisen tossed her a spare knife as he made his way outside. He didn't really expect her to use it, but it was marked for him. Jeisen stepped outside and into the rain.
Oh how he hated the rain.
The downpour was really on right now, already making puddles in the street. Men got out of the vans guns up. Jeisen just drew two knives. He was comin at them from the side so there was one car inbetween him and the farthest group. The first guys to see him opened up fire, no hesitation. Professionals.
Te first bullets rang of Jeisen shoulder but he didn't even flinch. Bullets ment nothing to him. With a flick of a his wrist he sent a knife flying into of of the guys throats, pinning him to a van. Without any warming, Jeisen was just there gripping the knife. A heel kick into one other guy sent te bastard to the floor. Usin that small opening Jeisen reached down gripping the bottom of the van. With just the tiniest bit of resistance Jeisen sent the can flipping over into the other one. As the two crash, Jeisen flew I to the remaining guys like a demon. These guys were good, but Jeisen was well... A meta human after all. He made short work of them as the rain continued to fall on all of them.

Re: Full House (Now Closed)
Jeisen had reacted oddly to the mention of him name; Cara forgot that although to her it was just like reading a book, other people didn’t understand how easily they could be recognized by technology. Maybe there was something more to his story that would explain his confusion, but that could wait; at least for now. He indicated his intentions to take the outside men and took a moment to pass her a weapon. She caught the knife in mid-air and studied the weapon in her hand, getting a feel for the weight and grip. She made her way to the top of the stairs, kicking the crippled thug out of the way as she moved. Everything had gone silent downstairs now, sticking to the wall she began to make her way slowly down to the lower level, pausing just outside the door. She pulled her scarf up to cover most of her face and conceal her identity.
With the knife in her left hand and the pistol in the right she leaned as close to the room as she possibly could. Obviously due to the nature of the activities there were no cameras in the room for her to hack so she would be going in blind. However, that did not mean she was at a disadvantage. After all, this was 2020; everybody had a phone. With a simple gesture six ringtones would go off simultaneously, met with sounds of panic and distress from the men inside the room. She dived into the room while they were distracted and rolled with her landing, in a split second she had shot two of the armed men in the shoulders. The shots were both non-lethal, missing all-important veins or arteries; they wouldn’t even bleed out. She rounded herself to take aim on the third. At his feet the four criminals were taking cover behind a table, whilst their thugs dealt with the threat. Poker cards and chips were spread all over the floor from where the game had been interrupted. These weren’t the biggest crime bosses, they still had millions to each of their names but there was always a bigger organisation behind men like these. Intimidation was the best option for getting information out of these low lives. She slid herself across the floor as the thug unloaded a clip in to the wall behind where she had just been. Swinging her arm she threw the knife and pinned the thug’s gun hand to the wall, a scream of pain accompanying the thud as it sunk in.
Looking down on the men, she studied their faces and read the full rap sheet on each of them. 2 were sex traffickers, one a drug lord and the other a gun smuggler. Each and every one of them scum and yet all shitting their pants as their thugs lay helpless beside them. Walking slowly across she kicked the table to the side with her gun pointing directly towards the men. She knocked the standing thug unconscious and pulled the knife from his hand allowing him to slump to the floor.
“So who wants to tell me where you get orders from?”

Re: Full House (Now Closed)
"I thought I left Chicago to get away from this crap." Trent spoke ever so silently to himself as he sat at the poker table, listening to the fighting upstairs. While he was no criminal, and shouldn't have had a spot at the table, his bank account said otherwise. He bought himself a seat, hoping to enjoy a quiet, underground poker game. Someone had other plans however, somebody felt as though he/she should disrupt the beautiful game they were having.
As the criminals were soiling themselves from fear of the commotion above them, and the mysterious man who bolted into the room. Trent stood up and left the room, making his way into the adjacent restroom, where he would wash his hands and face, then silently wait for the disruptive visitor to find the criminals. A simple tune from frank Sinatra could be heard coming from Trent's mouth as he waited for the intruder to disable all of the poker players. After a few punches, kicks, smashes, etc. the room fell silent, aside from a woman's voice which sounded quite intimidating.
“So who wants to tell me where you get orders from?” These were the words spoken by the woman. In that moment, Trent was intrigued. He had never seen such a capable woman in his life. Hell, he himself would almost be overwhelmed from that many enemies at once. In an instant Trent walked from one room to the next. As he entered the poker room, Trent raised his hands to show mercy. He wasn't about to get shot, he had enough action in Chicago.
"My my, that was quite the show my lady." Trent was now walking towards the table, "not that I got to see any action, but by sounds alone I could tell you were quite stellar. I have to say though, I'm a bit disappointed, I was starting to win the game before you ended it." As he flipped over his last hand to show a full house, he finished speaking, "I guess I shouldn't argue however, you're the one with the gun after all."

Jeisen slowly made his way down the stairs as he heard someone speaking. He couldn't hear quite hat was being said, but it was defiently a man"s voice he was hearing. Did someone over come that girl? She seemed so capable to him.
Still dripping from the rain, he made his way down the last of the steps. As he came around the corner he paused. It was a man alright, but he was just talking to the woman it seemed like. Well that's a good sign. Jason dropped the car door he had ripped off one of the vans on the ground next to him.
"No more vans, no more response teams."
Jeisen crouched over one f the unconscious guys and poked him in the forehead. He got no reaponse sadly
"They weren't very good"
Jeisen was still crouched over te guy sparking. Blue electricity rolled across his skin as he Stared at the last man. He already had one knife drawn, ready to strike. He didn't know hi these people were but glitch knew his name. He'd help her out just to find out how... And maybe some other info too

Re: Full House (Now Closed)
Another man had waltzed in to the room from a bathroom that Cara had forgotten to check. He wasn’t a criminal though, his name was Trent and as far as she could see there was little, if any criminal activity in his past. He was definitely the odd one out in the room, but money talks in these circles so he could easily have bought his way into a game like this, even though things would have definitely gone south had he won. Trent started going on about how he had a winning hand in the game, as if her intrusion was an inconvenience to him. The whole time her hand didn’t waver and kept the gun targeted directly at the cowering criminals. However the knife was kept readily by her side just in case this guy was just very good at not getting caught, no matter how unlikely that was. She had come here for a purpose and really didn’t have time for this guy’s antics. Jeisen had returned to the room having taken down everybody outside, electricity still pulsing around his body as he held his knife steadily in his hands. It was obvious he didn’t exactly trust the new man but was fairly curious about Cara herself.
“Jeisen thanks for handling that. Trent, if you aren’t a criminal of any sort and you know what’s good for you, you should get out of here right now.”
She turned her attention back to the guys on the floor hoping that this wasn’t a complete waste of time, kneeling down closer to the guys she looked directly in to one of their eyes. The other men could stay and watch if they wanted, she just needed information and was going to get it. A few more footsteps could be faintly heard upstairs but she elected to ignore them for the time being while she did what she needed to.
“So… you work for somebody more important. It’s written all over your face so how about we just cut the crap and you tell me who”
The man smirked a little and proceeded to spit at Cara, landing directly on the shoulder of her jacket. She let out a small sigh because of the man’s actions; apparently she was going to have to try a little more persuasion. With the knife that she held she brought it up to her jacket and wiped the spit off on to the blade.
“Let’s try it this way then,”
She whipped the knife in her left hand round and quickly slammed it into the man’s leg, a small burst of red spurting into the air as she did so. He let out a yelp because of the pain and started cussing at her in a variety of inventive ways. She turned to the next man who had nothing but fear in his eyes.
“Who’s next?”

Re: Full House (Now Closed)
Trent began to turn around and leave the room upon the woman's request. He decided he would try the Caribbean. His partner, Thomas had gone off the radar, and there was no work for him and relaxing was the best way to pass time. Just as he opened the door to exit, the girl started speaking to the criminals “So… you work for somebody more important. It’s written all over your face so how about we just cut the crap and you tell me who” there was a small pause as the girl finished her intimidating speech, and as Trent turned around to say something a few red drops of blood fell onto his face.
So this girl had few patience. Not one to agitate I guess." Thought Trent as he debated speaking. She turned to the next coward, and started on him. "Alright now, ease up. I'm sure whatever rush you're in can wait. If I've learned anything in my life, it's that you should enjoy moments like these." Trent was a little scared she would snap at him as he spoke, but he continued regardless, "there's a slim chance I have the information you need. Judging by the way you knew my name, you also know that I'm a private investigator, I'm sure you can put the two together." Trent hated speaking about his work to others, but he hadn't been working for a long time, and was urgent to do some high risk work. "We may be able to work something out, the three of us I mean. Just give me yes or no."
((OOC: I'm not sure if you have an intended story here so I don't want to ruin it if you do, but I could connect some of my characters history here))

Re: Full House (Now Closed)
"No"
Jeisen just cocked his head to one side and stared at the man. Just who the hell was this guy? A private investigator? This night was already confusing as hell for Jeisen, he didn't need anythign else just mucking it up even more so. He bent down and started to ruffle through the unconscious man's clothing. He pulled out his phone and tossed it to Glitch before pulling the wallet. He took the money and stuffed it into his own back pocket. He didn't know if the phone would be any use to her, but she was asking questions and it might have answers on it. Least she was making good use of that knife he had given her.
"I don't care who the hell you are or what the hell you do for a living. I don't even want to be here, but She can answer some questions. Only reason I'm here."
That and Jeisen had trouble leaving during the rain. It might short him out when he converted into a big bolt of lightning to travel around. But seriously, who was this guy? Jeisen looked him up and down, knife still in his hand. The girl had said his name, but that was no help to Jeisen. In the end though, it didn't really matter. This guy was selling something and Jeisen wasn't buying it, even if he wasn't to sure what the hell it was. He was cautious and suspicious of new people and for good reason. He had no idea if this guy was a meta human or not. Until proven otherwise he was a threat.
The girl was interrogating a man , but the questions made no sense. These guys worked for someone? She had said they were bad news earlier, but just how bad did she mean? Jeisen paused, thinking for a moment. His survival instincts were kicking in right about now.
"These guys had a rapid response unit on speed dial. We should probably move."

Re: Full House (Now Closed)
This was getting her absolutely nowhere. At least two of these guys didn't know any English and one of the others was whimpering and cradling his now bleeding leg. The last guy was being tight lipped as well and without going to extremes she probably couldn't scare him enough to talk. Trent clearly didn't agree with her methods and was trying to talk her out of them, telling her to slow down a bit.
"Trust me Trent, I am enjoying this."
However, she pulled the knife back from the man's leg and held it down by her side. Jeisen had begun rifling through the pockets of another man and threw his phone in Cara's direction, sliding across the floor as it reached her. She held it in her hand and within a second all of its information was hers. There were no mentions of names in the whole phone but there were some future dates that were worthy of interest and a few locations that she could definitely check out, Trent seemed interested on working with her and that was a link that could come in helpful!
She no longer needed the men on the floor so stood to her feet to address the two men in the room,
"Trent I've gathered some information and when I follow up on this I could definitely use a partner with whatever contacts got you into this game."
She tossed the phone towards him which had now been entirely wiped and imprinted with an incredibly secure method of contacting her. She was about to offer help to Jeisen as well as she was curious what she could do when they were interrupted by sounds from upstairs. It was the man whom she had first encountered shouting to another individual.
"Oh god please no! She caught me off guard I swear!" There was a tremendous amount of fear in his voice but the shouting was stopped by a sudden thud. The mans body came crashing into the room, broken beyond recognition. A small timed explosive followed afterwards clearly with enough firepower to take out the whole building and remove all traces of activity. It was improvised so it would be easy to pass it off as a gas leak or something. In a split second Cara threw a hand toward the device and remotely held the thing paused where it sat.
"Get after him now, let me take care of this."
She knew the man would be waiting outside but couldn't move until this bomb was taken care of or at least a few innocent people could be killed.

((OOC: with this one I was just planning on having a bit of a brawl but we kind of work together to sort it all out. However, if we set up an investigation I'd be happy to do a follow up thread where Glitch and Trent work together! I've already discussed a follow up with Jeisen.))

Re: Full House (Now Closed)
Trent caught the phone and took a look at it. He saw a contact number. "Maybe she was a bit intrigued" thought Trent. He threw the phone in his pocket and addressed the other man. "Jeisen I believe?" Said Trent referencing what the girl had said earlier. "I'm not a bad guy. And if your looking for money" Trent paused and pointed out the money he had put in his back pocket, "your looking in the wrong place." Trent walked over to a single briefcase sitting in the corner of the room. He threw it on the table and opened it, revealing over thirty thousand dollars in twenty dollar bills. "Remember, this was an illegal poker game. It's all cash, no credit." He started splitting the money between the three. "I'm sure there's more somewhere, I didn't see where the guards put it all, but Jeisen's right, that sounded like a professional team of killers, we should move." Trent double checked that the phone was still in his pocket and made his way for the door, grabbing a loaded m9 from an unconscious body.
The moment he stood up from grabbing the gun, a man burst through the door. For some idd reason, Trent was completely oblivious to this man before. He usually picks up on the quietest conversation as part of his profession. But this was quite the surprise. A sort of explosion followed, but was halted in mid event by the girl. Trent ran up the stairs after the culprit as the girl gave both him and Jeisen time to escape.
((OOC: do you guys have Skype or something? That way I can chat and plan a bit. Unfortunately, I'm usually on mobile, and the website chatbox doesn't work very well. a-r-02 <---- Skype name))
