The looming shadow (X98)

The city of Las Vegas, Nevada had a population of about six hundred thousand with another 1 and a half million in the surrounding area. That did not include the sheer number of tourists that visited the place known as 'Sin city' It was very easy for somebody to get lost among the crowds that gather there. Just one wrong turn and you could take hours to reach a location that's only mere minutes away.

Henderson, Nevada was smaller, though still a pretty big city in its own right with a population over two hundred thousand. It was far easier to travel through though. Sophia Carlton spent most of the day moving throughout the city. First there was school, which she disliked since it was boring and the other kids were mean to her. Then came forced after school activities which she did not even participate in. Just watched as her cousin tried and failed to make his parents proud like they had been hoping. They still told him they were proud, but it was obvious they had been expecting more. Then came shopping and after that they finally got home. By the time they did it was already late and her aunt and uncle were wanting her to go to bed immediately after dinner.

When she reached her room she surprisingly enough found it empty. Where was that thing now? Did it go off to Vegas again? Was it causing trouble over there like it had been doing? The answer to all those questions was yes. A shadow loomed over Las Vegas, and it was doing whatever it pleased. The only thing giving it any trouble was the effort to remain undetectable. All these damn lights made it hard to travel about. After disabling the power in a casino it found itself behind a billboard which it promptly started to dismantle to send it crashing down to the streets below. The billboard creaked and rattled loudly in the wind. Some of the people below actually had concern about it. They started to veer away from it so that when it finally fell nobody wound up getting injured or killed. Still, they were terrified at what just happened. Good enough for now as it was already gone again.

X-98B had been out that night simply having fun doing some parkour not showing his Neon powers at all untill he reached a roof behind where he saw a dark figure undoing some of the support joints keeping up a billiard across from him and as the figure destroyed the last support beam Felix saw it fall and saw the man start running away so he chased the man noticing he was far ahead he used his Neon Dash to close the distance but by the time he got to the ground level the man was gone.

Meanwhile a crowd was starting to assemble around the fallen billiard he looked towards the crowd and not wanting to take the blame for it he slowly started to try and get away. "yeah that wont be good if they see me looking suspicious now will it?" he said to himself. He hid at the nearest back alley still keeping a watchful eye on the scene

As the one that was called 'Billy' did its mysterious exit after causing mayhem, it thought it saw somebody chasing it down. All it had seen was a strange flash of light and some movement, but when it viewed the surrounding area, there was nobody to be seen. How strange. Then again it was pretty strange itself.

The cold night desert away brisked by as the creature planned its next course of action. Out of the corner of its eye it saw movement nearby. There were some people heading this way. It quickly went through the wall of a building to escape from them and ran about until it found a safe hiding place. Now it was in a an empty back alley. Or so it thought. There was somebody else here too. 'Billy' noticed this individual, but they had not noticed its presence. It considered the possible options. Escape this location unnoticed, or torment this person first. It decided on the latter and rendered itself invisible to begin this little spree of fun. It grabbed some stuff from out of the dumpster nearby and hurled it all at him.

Felix still looking at the scene of people trying to figure out what happened to the sign he felt a random object hit him in the head. feeling annoyed by it already he had two options try to go into the crowd and blend (good option) or go and scare off the witnesses (evil option) for his new hiding spot wasnt safe apparently so he chose the evil rout of course that one always being more fun and revealed himself and started showing his neon powers

Oh how it was going about having as much fun as it could. What a fun night this was proving to be for the spectral being. And to think it almost took the night off. That would have been such a wasted opportunity. It was two for two tonight on successful acts of deviousness without getting caught, and now it was looking like it had just made that three for three. The person he had come across in the alleyway not only got hit by the garbage that had been thrown at him, but actually ran for it too. Had he been that terrified by the creature's act? Oh that would be so amusing if it were to be true. 'Billy' watched as the guy ran off into the main road and started messing with the people that had convened around the billboard that it had been responsible for toppling mere minutes ago. Okay, this was great. This guy was crazy enough to do something it would do right after getting hit in the head and not even looking around for the person who caused it. How hard had he been hit exactly? Was he damaged already? 'Billy' decided to follow him a bit as he caused some panic with his powers and see how it could take advantage of this situation.
