There's a first time for everything [Sin]

Jordan’s eyes shot wide in a sort of horror as he looked to Shael, and then he dissolved into a fit of laughter, hands pressed against his stomach as he ended up gulping for breath. ”Yeah…no matter what language you say that in, it’s not good to say that to a teacher.” He said pulling himself from the laughing fit and patting Shael on the shoulder, who was just beginning to understand what he was laughing about. Looking over the book and shaking away what he had said, Shael tried to absorb everything that he was reading over, yet his mind was nothing like a sponge. His lips curled into a slight line as he tried to mentally pronounce anything that he read, and for some reason it just felt wrong. While he was not the most educated individual, Shael could not really blame his daddy, seeing as how he just preferred to be outside rather than reading books.

”Hrrrrrrm…” Shael muttered silently enunciating the strange words that were written within the book. Okay maybe he would have a harder time than expected trying to learn this, not that Shael was expecting it to be easy or anything.

”Do I know any Spanish? I know a little.” Jordan would say with a modest shrug.

Matthew immediately took notice of Shael's attempts, though he could tell with the little hum that the boy wasn't fully processing information. That was to be expected, it was a new language. The male was also trying, which was more than enough to Invoke some patience and lenience from the currently jet-dyed-haired male whom returned his focus to this other fellow who responded. "Feel free to share." He said, slightly put out by the fact the male answered simply. He hummed and began contemplating something. He was really deep into the occult now... he may be ready to try his hand at enchanting something...or even going out to find a magical item to look at, see how it's done right. Matt sighed and he slid the sheet out of Shael's hand.

"Shane, tell me things you would NEED to know if you went to Spain or Mexico." He said for a moment as he contemplated how to actually teach the boy.

”¿Qué es exactamente debo compartir?” The male asked raising a single brow, rattling the sentence off fluently. Of course that may have been seen as a smartass remark, but then again Jordan was intending for that effect. Shael turned to the male, curious as to what he said but not intending to really ask, considering it might have been something bad or whatever. So he would continue his learning until Matt would ask him the question about what words he would need to know.

”I guess you would need to know about food,housing and stuff like that?” of course he did not really speak about some things, but to him those were more human concerns.

"Anything you think would be helpful." Matt said with a smile, actually pleased to hear decent Spanish from another human being. Or so he believed at the moment. He turned back to Shael and rolled his eyes. He heard what the boy said, but he didn't believe him really. Granted those were normal questions, but what did the boy want to know? Perhaps that was the better question, but he did learn that the boy knew his priorities, which was good.

"Alright... So food." Matt said as he moved things aside and leaned forward, looking Shael in the eyes, eye contact increasing ones ability to retain information by 12%. He sighed and clapped his hands together. He instructed Shael to listen to him speak. He would say it three times, and then Shael would try. "¿Dónde...puedo....encontrar....comida? Where can I find food? ¿Dónde...puedo...encontrar...comida? Where can I find food? ¿Dónde puedo encontrar comida?" Matthew said the last one at normal speed. He then looked to Shael, hoping he would get the hang of it.

"Alright... let's move real quick to something more...interesting to you. What do you like...what words would you like to know in Spanish?" He asked as he tried to figure out the boy, jotting down a few notes.

Honestly Jordan didn’t feel like flexing his knowledge of the language, as that would require tapping into power that would make him too obvious, at least to Shael anyway. The tan skinned male cocked his head to the side, listening to everything that Matt said and then tried to repeat what he had said. ” ¿Dónde...puedo....encontrar....comida?” He worked out with a hesitant tone, fingers bunched together as he slowly and clumsily, perhaps even butchering it somewhat. He would repeat the sentence a few more times before he was able to say it without pausing. Then came the fun parts, which was words that he knew. ”Well you already know some of the words I know…”eyes trailed off before he seemed to jump on another train of thought entirely. ”Ummm….how about the word for wolves?”

"Yes, you've already proven that you can ask for a blowjob better than you can ask for food..." Matt said, his face suddenly going blank as his eyes narrowed and his head nodded. " Which I feel as though should concern me." He said with a little chuckle. He dismissed the entirety of the situation, simply brushing it off as unimportant. Though if anything Shael's limited Dialogue in Spanish reminded him of something one of his brother's friends would know. Matthew was quickly flooded with the question as to what was wrong with the world today, all the random sex and impatience, no virtue or morality anywhere...it was depressing almost, though he heard Shael speak and it snapped him from his own thoughts. The boy desired to know how to ay the word "wolves" in Spanish.

    "Okay. Wolves it is then.  First there is Wolf. as in one singular wolf. Like a lone wolf." Matt said as he shifted, looking Shael in the eyes again, trying to make sure it was very clear, and the word wolf was simple enough. "Lobo. Lobo is Wolf. Lobo. Lo-bo. Wolf. Got it? So now when we have more than one wolf, we turn it into LoboS. adding in an S. Lobo is wolf. Lobos is wolves." Matt said, trying to explain it thoroughly enough for the child to understand. The bonus to having the advanced processes of a brain was the ability to help others learn, and if they had powers, that extended into those as well.

    "Shane le gusta Lobos. También me gusta lobos " Matt said, waiting for the kid to look. TO him it was a statement, but he wasn't sure if the kid would understand so he explained. "Shane likes wolves. I like wolves as well." He said nodding, hopefully it would sink in now that it was something of interest to him. Matt began to draw his attempt at a wolf, it was good enough to get the general idea, and then he wrote "Lobo" underneath it as he handed it to Shael, instructing him to write the world wolf in English.

At the comment Jordan found himself snickering once again, but then again it was rather…funny. Even if he had a feeling Shael did not realize how sad the fact was, Jordan shook his head and sighed lightly. Luckily Shael did not seek to know the Spanish equivalent to anymore sexual acts,, and wanted to know how to say wolves, which was right in a certain way. Shael did like wolves, and unbeknownst to most people, other than Fera and his father, he preferred to take the form of a wolf more than anything else, not that he couldn’t transform into anything. A wolf form just felt more comfortable to him. Looking Matt back in the eyes, Shael absorbed everything he said with interest, eyes narrowing slightly as he tried to pick up everything that was being said. The differences between the singular and plural versions of the word, nodding slightly when he felt as if he understood what was being said to him. After that part of it was done, he drew what looked roughly like a wolf, wrote lobo under it and then handed it to him, instructing the male to write wolf under it in English. Taking the page, Shael did was instructed. ’Lobo.” He muttered to himself with a nod, enunciating the o and the nodding to himself.

. "Yeah, Lobo. Right, great job little guy." Matt said as he shifted a few things around to grab a spare piece of paper. He smiled and held up a little flashcard he just made and smiled. "Hola. Me llamo Mateo." Matthew said. He held out his hand. He waited for the boy to react before he explained what it was and what it meant. He had explained that it was really Hello! My name is Matthew. He explained that "O-La" was hello, and Me is possessive to ones self. So anytime he wantesd to talk regarding himself he should use the word me. Just like he were telling someone about himself. Instead of using I, you say ME except you say it as Mey. llamo is as Yah-mo and then he explained the last word was his name.

     "I've never really known the name Shane to translate to Spanish, so we're going to call you the first Spanish word you learned. Well, form me. I'm not naming you Suck or any other part of that sentence." Matt snickered to himself as he made another note card and handed it to Shane. [color=chartreuse]"We're gonna call you Lobo."[color] Matt said, trying to sound happy but perhaps sounding just strange. Happy wasn't his thing. Granted not that he wasn't happy or he was a total brooding asshole (he could be but that's not the point) he just didn't show it as obvious as one might think. The note card said...
       
"Hola" ---> O-La ---> Hello (Hi)
        "Me llamo Lobo" ---> Mey Yah-mo Lo-Bo ---> My name is Wolf.
        "Senora" ---> Sen-your-ah ---> Mrs.
        "¿Cómo se dice...?" ---> Coh-mo Seh Dee-seh ---> How do you say...?

"That last one... Any time you want to learn how to say a word in Spanish. Ask that, and I will translate anything for you. It's like the magic words. Try it out. ¿Cómo se dice...? Then the word." Matt said as he leaned back, sitting straight up in perfect posture (as he was taught it to be anyway) before waiting for a command from the child... he was sort of hoping he wouldn't end up regretting it.

So he had something right? Shael smiled widely at the small praise, granted praise within itself was not something new to him. It was the next string of Spanish that spilled from Matt’s mouth that confused him, the only part that he could remotely guess at was the part that sounded like it held Matt within it. Did it have something to do with Matt, or something else entirely? The male now wished that he could speak the language or had some weird kind of power like his daddy that just let him understand any language that was thrown at him. Shael asked what he had said and he was answered in kind, raising a brow as it was explained. So that’s how you introduced himself? Well, it helped him a little bit and that was more than he had before.

This went on from there, a card handed to him with some stuff on it explaining the sentence well enough, Shael letting eyes scan over it carefully. He would silently mutter it to himself until he was confident within his pronunciation and then spoke it out loud. The pronunciation was s till a little shaky but it was better than the last few muttered practice runs. ” ¿Cómo se dice…dad?” He would ask cocking his head to the side, Jordan cocking an eyebrow as of the question confused him slightly.

"Papá" Matt said. It was simple enough and he nodded, almost as if it were the simplest thing in the world. He nodded to Shael and chuckled a little. He could assume that this was only something else to be worried about. The kid was one walking problem after another. He almost wanted to ask why he wasn't exactly with his Dad...but after the comment he heard his Dad say there wasn't even really a desire to know the answer to that question in fear that the answer would be weird. But the kid loved his dad though...maybe teaching him like that would be "Lobo Ama a su papá." Matt said with a little chuckle as he looked at the poor kid. Bastard hit a weakness of his, and Matt didn't like it...but he certainly tried to help out...even though it wasn't even really anything of value.

"Lobo Ama a su papá... Wolf loves his dad... We're gonna stick to calling you lobo, sound good?" Matt asked, looking for confirmation.

” Papá.” Shael would repeat with a nod, mentally cataloguing that with a speed that was not usual for the male. The next sentence spoke had more words that he knew, or at least two of them, which was what Matt seemed to want to call him and then the word for dad. It reminded him of his dad, the late nights when he would spend time with him in the wilds and when he would comfort him when the strange dreams came. How he would do what he could, and when he made a promise it was usually kept. Shael felt that weird aching within his chest, one hand running over his torso as he considered it for a moment; he was said? Well of course he was sad, he missed his daddy. ”Oh, that sounds good.” He would note the smile taking more effort than he was used to putting into it. ” Lobo Ama a su papa.” He would say with a nod, it was a sentence that stated that he loved his father and he indeed did.

"Alright. Here's what I want you to do." Matt said as he pulled out more flash cards and quickly writing down more phrases. The first one was ¿Cómo está usted? (How are you?), Buenos días (Good Morning), and a few basics. He then put their English translation down and passed the note-cards to Shael with a smile. He had an idea, but it wasn't going to work if his fears about the kid's dad were true. Regardless, he needed to teach the kid how to speak Spanish, and he easily caught on when he mentioned something about the father figure. It was either a genuine bond and a simple misunderstanding on Matthews part due to miscommunication, or there was some serious Stockholm syndrome shit going on here. Regardless, he had an objective, and he would keep it. He looked to his book, handed it to Shael and sighed as he handed it over, an obviously painful thing for him to do. The kid needed someone he guessed...and it just HAD to be him apparently.

"Well...your Dad obviously know some Spanish I guess. So I'll tell you what... the next time you get to talk to him one on one, You can do it in Spanish and surprise him. Alright?" Matthew asked, trying to give the boy a decent goal. A father's praise and approval was best apparently. Though the more Matthew was trying to help the boy, the more he loathed it...all of it to the detail. It wouldn't be a strong enough dislike to disrupt anything going on here, but it was slowly mounting.

So Matt wanted him to do something? The male raised an eyebrow as flashcards were introduced once again, which meant that he would be learning more things and that was good. More phrases for him to remember, which was good on his end, and the kicker was him saying something about his father and surprising him. The only thing that did really was excite Shael about learning more, if only to impress his daddy, even if Fera said that he was….bad. ”Alright, I can do it.” He chirped seemingly happier than before. Then there was the sound of something vibrating and Jordan pressing his cellphone to his ear, nodding and occasionally saying yeah.

”Well guys I have to go, the mom needs me for something.” He said with a sigh patting Shael lightly on the back. ”Take care little guy, I’ll see ya tomorrow.” Waving good by to Shael and Matt, he made his way off, to where no one really knew.

. ”Take care little guy, I’ll see ya tomorrow.” The boy said after getting off his phone. Matthew's ears perked up and he let out a low interested hum. The man would leave and Matthew's eyes and his eyes alone would silently shift, glaring at the man. "Little guy." he thought to himself. That was oddly... times. It's not like this Jordan fellow was huge or overbearing. In fact they seemed to be the same age. Then again, the first rule of the Occult...nothing is as it seems. He closed his eyes, fighting the urge to recall his psychometry venture just earlier, but he resisted. He cleared his throat and then looked back to Shael, who eagerly said he could agree to work hard for it.

"Alright....I'm going to give you four phrases every day, or I'm going to give you a few words every day. Then we'll go over all of them every day, and soon we'll have conversations...and in no time, you and dad can talk in Spanish together. Sound good?" Matt said, slinging his messenger bag over his shoulder, almost like he were ready to stand up, but then he seemed to get distracted by something...He shook his head and chuckled as his set the bag back down. He was so used to doing Spanish in thirty minute increments that he felt compelled to leave even when Shael might not have been done. He explained it as simply as possible before trying to laugh it off.

Shael did not think too hard on the whole calling him little guy, since he was so used to it from one person, and perhaps a few others now and then. Even if Jordan was an inch shorter than him, it did not bother Shael any, or he just did not think on that subject. ’Mhmm, sound good.” the little male said with a nod of his head. It seemed like this Matt was not as bad as Fera was giving him credit for, or at least he could tell from how she glared at him. However for now it seemed that they would be parting ways, signified from Matt picking up his stuff and whatever. However he immediately set his bag back down, which confused Shael slightly as he stopped himself from standing up. So were they done or not?

"You got a phone?" Matt asked as he pulled out his galaxy phone and started to open another contact. He let out a little hum as he shifted through the contacts before reaching the ability to insert one. He put it in and typed in Lobo, then set his phone down. "Wanna give me your number? That way you can text me or call me when you need help or whatever..." Matt said, truthfully it was more of an offer to Shael than a request for his own benefit. He smiled as best he could, trying to actually be friendly to a fellow scholar. He would take down a number, or respect the lacking of contact. Regardless, Matthew cleared his throat and held his phone up.

"Yo!" Matt said, snagging Shael's attention before snapping a picture and smirking as he saved it to the contact. "Nice." He said. Collecting faces was an old "hobby" of his, though he did it mostly for him to explain to other people...abd by other people he means the little dorks in his Inner World.
