Personality: Zoe is dark and very quite. She is the type to strike first and ask questions later, people classify her as aloof and calm... freakishly so. Her darker personality is very hard to penetrate.
But there is a side of her that is rarely seen, the mortal side. The one were she actually has emotions and underneath she is truly very caring and loyal. When hurt she tends to lash out at the person closest to her and sever ties.

She however can drink like nobody's business and still manage to stay sober and pickpocket just about any individual. It takes several tons of alcohol to get this lady drunk.  

History:
Zoe was born up top and not in the underworld. She was adopted in by a family (The Elanes). She had a pretty standard upbringing as a seemingly human individual. At the age twenty she realized there was something different about herself. She could pick up on things others can't. Such as smells and other things not to mention other predators seemed to be afraid of her. As time went on she developed keener senses and reflexes. Not aging was a perk and she got into buckets of trouble as time went on. One of the other Arae discovered her and took her in, teaching them their brutal ways. As Arae they operated either inside or outside the law in order to get what they wanted done. Zoe spent over a hundred years in training and she came back up to the natural world a changed being. For a while she was happy, she had fallen in love and had gotten married... then people from the Underworld attacked her and her family. Killing her baby boy and mate, a fellow named Adrian. Zoe's mind has gone to a dark place since then and her kind personality was warped.

Since then Zoe has lived between the two worlds, adapting to the changed times and the lingo. Zoe has become fluent in almost every language except for arabic and other dead languages. She has developed a fondness for most weapons but enjoys blades of battle the most. She owns several katanas and knives... as well as long range weapons.
Now, Zoe works odd jobs and has a faint accent from living in scotland for a while. She has had many years to meditate and perfect her talents. However, throughout all of her years of life she has developed a taste for blood, which is common for the Arae especially in those who have lost mates and children. Occasionally she will try to track and kill the original attackers of Josh (her baby boy) and Adrian if new information comes to light.

The Underworld- Filled with crime and deprivation and yet has glorious cities built from rare stones. The Arae have been banished from the cities until recently and the people are now making a return. It is a slow return since there are not many of their kind left. Several other creatures live there such as undead and demons. If you know the right people an individual may be truly happy here.

The Arae- No one is sure just quite what they are. Just that they are foes to be feared with a venomous bite, their gifts range from shape shifting to elemental manipulation. So next time someone walks by you and your hair stands on end for no apparent reason, you may have just passed an Arae. The Arae are very gifted when it comes to battle, making them very usefull war allies. They often parade around as thugs for higher, assassins, and/or spies.
