Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
Sean left out a deep sigh, a miniscule cloud of Nether issuing from his mouth and dissipating into the air. He reclined against his room’s wall, cradling the stump between the fingers of his only remaining hand. His body had regained a manner of strength since that day he woke up in the castle infirmary, and his body had finally reverted to its default hybrid form, where the strange attacks had only subsided and his Nether was returning. That small amount of recovery took him a week and once within that time span, he had found himself vomiting blood; however what damage that could have been caused by was quickly dealt with by the Ethereal well. Michael had been trailing behind him lately, though making sure he was as coy as possible when doing so. The young looking Ethereal make was already beginning to look older, his eyes filled with more subdued intelligence than last week. However now he was busy hanging out with Shael, which Sean thought was nice. Perhaps even with his younger brother Silus, the little introvert of Ouroboros children, though Sean never really understood him. All he knew was that the castle felt strange since that incident, since Ouroboros so easily killed all of those Ethereals, if that was truly him doing it.
Pushing himself from the wall, Sean stood to his feet rolling his shoulder as the joint popped loudly. That was when the door opened, and Michael peered through almost as if expected, smiling as his eyes fell over Sean. He was taller by a good few inches, his hair now reaching down to the nape of his neck, and bangs brushing past the middle of his eyes. Orbs which were the same color as his but with fluorescent looking Ethereal specks that gave them a whole new kind of life. ”Are you gonna sit around in here all day? I didn't take you for the reclusive type.” His lips curled into a slight smile, sitting on the bed that filled up one corner. ”Some of your Ti'taen friends came by earlier, and said they were looking for you. I told them you didn't want to be bothered, and they just kinda shrugged and slunk away.” Michael noted running fingers through his hair as his eyes seemed to dart about the room without needing a second thought towards it, jumping off of the bed and landing on the balls of his feet.
’So they did? I guess I’ll have to deal with that later.” Sean noted sighing lightly, though something told him that the councilors would not simply allow him to ignore them. Even if he was their king, they seemed to deem it fit to chirp into his ear like baby birds until he felt like they expected him to vomit down their throats. Granted Sean would have much preferred to ram a sharp blade down their throats, sadly he could not downsize his court in the same manner that Ouroboros had done to Bastion and the fuck up brigade. ”Should deal with them now before they do something stupid, perhaps piss off a certain someone.” Michael smirked lightly at that, the thought of Ouroboros destroying the rather annoying Titan council amusing him. ’So go hang out with Shael or something, it seems that I have business to deal with.”
”You sure you’re up to it now?” Sean could hear the small amount of concern within his voice, and it was not unwarranted.
”I’ll be fine, not like I’m going to be expected to deal with some kind of slathering beats from hell or something.” Sean noted with a roll of his eyes, running fingers through Michael’s hair, tousling it up slightly. ’Might swing by and visit my ward when I’m done with this business.” He hadn’t seen Sam for around two weeks, one of those weeks because he had not left the Ethereal Isles, but then again his Nether had not been high enough to actually produce a portal through The Abyss in the first place; which left him stuck unless he wanted to ask for help, and Ouroboros seemed busy these days. Something told him that bothering the Ethereal male would have not been best, so he simply made sure to stick to himself, or hang around with Michael minus the times that the king wondered away from his usual whatever. They both left the room, but while Michael went one way, Sean went another, and soon enough he found himself walking through the front door of Valhalla and down its steps. It was a fine morning, and the sun was shining down upon him, tinged by the Ethereal atmosphere that hung so richly around the island. Sean reached out with his left hand, running it along the air as ripples began to form and within a second the Nether portal opened and Sean stepped through it; rip within reality itself closing tightly, leaving no sign behind that it was once there.
He found himself in the court where all of his advisors were sitting within their rather posh looking chairs, dark colored eyes like onyx focused upon the Ti’taen in question and more importantly his arm, as well as his greatly diminished aura of Nether. Sheiara was the first to speak up, and the tone in which she did so shocked Sean slightly. ”Your arm, where is it?” She questioned, crossing her legs and letting her palms rest in her lap. They had grown used to his insistence on wearing human clothing so, his current fashion of dress was not unexpected. The khaki shorts, complimented by a simply white t-shirt with a light grey pullover, and simple tennis shoes. He could tell that her eyes were upon his ri8ght sleeve, which was looking rather flat. He paused for a moment unable to answer, which only caused her to shake her head, ringlets of dark hair falling down her shoulders, bristling about with the movement. ”Your Nether is feeling pretty low too, so why hasn’t your boyfriend fixed your arm? Is it because he won’t or because he can’t?” Something about the female Ti’taen speaking out where she usually stayed silent would have been confusing, but Sean had an inkling of why she was being so bold now. It was perhaps that she had managed to somehow weasel her way to a position where she had such a right, and Sean was not in the mood to silence her.
”Sheiara, enough of that matter, we have something else that is more important than that.” A male sitting next to her spoke, the one that he had grown so used to seeing within his visits to the Abyss. His hair was always a short brown, and eyes always a light brown that belied his Ti’taen heratige. His markings were dark, yet one could see a light hint of purple to them, though they also seemed to blend flawlessly with his black robe, one that looked reminiscent of a mages. ”We did not call Sean here to question him about his…domestic life, as interesting as it had become at the moment.”
’Indeed, we can deal with that small matter later.” His ancestor noted, entering the room and sitting on a chair set next to one that Sean was expected to sit in. Not wanting to stand up anymore, the diminutive Ti’taen chose to sit within what looked like a black onyx throne, resting his face within the palm of his hand, as his eyes scanned over the six other of his race that usually sat within the perhaps most Nether rich section of The Abyss, where one could say that the core of the entire plane of existence was said to sit. However, the only thing to ntoe was the large looking orb of smooth black crystal that hung above them, said to be so hard that not even the combined armies of the Ti’taen race, and its most powerful members could hope to even scratch the surface. Some considered it the core of their world, while others considered it nothing more than a powerful magical artifact that no one had yet figured out how to control. ”Someone has been killing our kind, somehow removing the binding marks on their bodies and reducing them before killing them; where they are then found by humans within their own streets.” The male that looked similar to Sean but with both arms intact noted, resting against the back of his padded chair, crossing arms over his chest as light blue orbs moved over to Sean.
’I assume you expect me to deal with whatever is killing these Ti’taens.” Sean ventured to ask with obvious annoyance, which only added to it when the male smirked lightly at the question.
”We had initially planned to ask you for help, but seeing your current condition we are reconsidering.” An elderly looking female Ti’taen noted with wrinkles within her skin that made it look like parchment. Some said that this woman had been alive since near the start of the universe itself, and that she knew many secrets that were lost across the ages, and some that no other had even found. Even with her age, the woman spoke plainly and help no quarters about berating Sean when it was obvious that he was wrong, and yet her advice proved true. ”While I am not saying that we are aiming to deny you this mission, I simply suggest that you have someone powerful at your side to help you within this dangerous quest. Surely your Ouroboros would be capable of providing help.” She said noting the small amount of anger rising within Sean’s eyes, which were now smoldering. ”If not him, I’m sure that your young Half Ti’taen friend would be more than happy to help you, as you did make him what he is.” Sean inclined his head, considering what the old woman said for a moment before nodding, seeing the wisdom within what she suggested. The others would just nod in agreement, as they always seemed to do when the elder spoke. One thing that bugged him about that though was the fact that there was no proper name for her beyond elder, and that left him at somewhat of a impasse.
”Fine, if you think it wise I shall take Sam. He seems like he could use a little practice in the field anyway, and I’m sure he would love to put his sword to good use.” The thought of the little partial Ti’taen made Sean smirk, as he moved from his resting position and looked over everyone within the council chambers. With a wave of his hand, Sean dismissed all of them and they left, except for one, the elder who stood there cryptically until the room was empty and only those two stood there.
”Before you go, I think you should take this.” She thrust into his only hand what looked like a small wooden box lined with black silk, and within he could feel the strong sense of Nether. ”If you’re in trouble on this mission, I would suggest using what’s within this box.” With that done she would disappear into a cloud of smoke, leaving Sean curious as to what she had given him. The box was easy enough to open, and within was a small spherical pill that radiated pure dark energy, and looking upon it gave Sean a certain sense of strength that passed through his limbs like a jolt of electricity. Snapping the lid close, and placing it within his jacket pocket, Sean quickly tore another hold and off he was, appearing outside if what looked like a rather quaint apartment complex.
The door was locked, so Sean simply picked it, which was something that he mastered with even his left hand, so at least he was not disadvantaged within that aspect of things. Pressing the door open with the flat of his palm, Sean let hie eyes dart about the room for a moment. Fast forwarding things, Sean found himself face to face with what he could surmise was Sam’s disgruntled girlfriend, and a woman that he had tried to kill before, and she showed that dissatisfaction by slugging him in the face, and his nose did not like that in the least. Resetting the nose was a pain in the ass within itself when you only have one hand to do it, and his sleeve was getting covered in the slightly red colored blood. Sean was silently relieved that he was tougher than your average squishy person, otherwise he would have died there, or at least been knocked into some kind of coma. ”Dammit.” Sean muttered tersely, rubbing his now sore nose, which was likely to get bruising from that small incident, and he was sure Michael would want to know who did it. He would then find himself glaring annoyed at the Arae, explain his reasoning behind nearly killing the young man’s girlfriend, though luckily the male did not fly into some kind of rage, and try to kill Sean with that full Ti’taen form of his. ’Okay, if we’re done here I think we have to go now.” Sam was likely asking what they were doing, though Sean felt like they would have to leave the apartment and get as far away from the demoness as possible before he would divulge anything important.
It was when he had opened the Nether portal and arrived at the Windy City that he would explain. ”okay Sam, put simply, someone is killing other Ti’taens and they have been doing it for the past two weeks it would seem, bodies found across the country. I have been sent here to investigate what has been happening, and you shall accompany me on this mystery.” he fingers absently ran over his nose, and Sean winced lightly at the pain that lanced through it. They were standing on the edge of a rooftop, looking over the crime scene that was still in progress, people looking over the body as if trying to figure something out. Sean had already felt the death of the being around here, seeing as how the Nether was strongest here within the city, and that denoted the death of one of his races, or one that was strong with the element. Sean exhaled a small cloud of Nether, eyes narrowing as they draped the body with a white covering, but Sean had seen it, the dark burn marks scorched across the skin in ways that nearly reached the bone. Blood had pooled a lot around them, and from what he could see it was a female, with a face of absolute horror. The body had been dumped within an alleyway, which meant that whoever had killed them was trying to desecrate the body further by throwing them into a place where only the lowliest of humans were forced to sleep. ”Our investigation begins here.” They would wait until the investigators had left, and Sean leapt down into the alleyway, feeling for any strange energy. There was indeed something strange about the air, something that reminded him of the isles but would an Ethereal really be stupid enough to actually kill a Ti’taen? ”Hrm.” Sean ran his fingers along strange scorch markings that formed along the concrete, eyebrows screwing up as he considered this for a moment, wondering if perhaps what burned the Ti’taen also had burned the concrete and what had. ’Sam, what do you think about this?”
Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
Sam had awoken from a fairly good night’s sleep, it certainly felt stranger waking up with someone beside him, it also had its down sides like sheet wars and fights for space, but overall it was an upgrade. Sam rose from his bed and split the blinds spreading across his window, he squinted as the Sun beamed straight into his eyes, but his eyes soon adapted to the brightness and he could see the wildlife and the passers-by on this fine morning. He looked beside him to the bed to see Zoe stirring, he was hoping it was not him that had woken her up, but he greeted her none-the-less. Sam grasped a towel from the clean pile that he has in his room and he escaped through to the bathroom, he switched on his shower and stared at himself in the mirror as the water heated up, he found himself running his fingers across several of his tattoo’s and caused self-inflicted tickling, he stopped looking at his body and moved in closer to inspect his face, he could do with a shave, but in true lazy Sam fashion, he decided to prolong that to another day in the future. Sam stepped onto the wet tile floor of his shower and enjoyed it as he cleansed himself for several minutes before returning back to his bedroom with just a towel. Several more minutes passed as he dried himself and threw on a pair of jeans, a loose white shirt and his black and red hoodie that he loved to wear, he left it open and unzipped however as he would surely rise in temperature quickly with it enclosed around him.
Sam exited the bedroom with a yawn as he slipped into the kitchen without alerting Amber who was usually all over him as soon as he showed his face in the mornings. This was actually the furthest he had ever got during his morning routine without alerting Amber to his presence, Sam lightly pressed the switch to turn the kettle on as well as silently pressing down the switch on the toaster, it appeared no sound could escape Amber as she trotted into the kitchen and looked up to Sam, he looked down upon her with a small smile, he was angry that he had alerted her, but at the same time delighted to see her again, he knelt down and rubbed her all over in an attempt to make her feel good, it caused her to lay down in the centre of the kitchen as an obstruction that could become an issue later. Sam found himself stepping over Amber to grab utensils from several different cabinets, she was starting to become a bit of a bother so Sam slid her across the tiled floor with his foot, Amber showing no intention of moving herself.
Zoe had shown herself and entered the kitchen, giving Sam a peck on the cheek as he made the pair a cup of coffee each. Zoe retreated to the living room as Sam waited for his toast to pop up, he would stare at and try his best to guess when it would rise and no matter how many times he would do it, it would always cause a fright. Amber had abandoned Sam as well now, so it was only him in the kitchen area, he buttered his toast and put on piece in his mouth as he shipped both of his things into the living area to where everyone else was. Sam placed his things down onto a table before being startled by the front door, with a curious look he approached the door only to have it open in front of him and have none other than Sean reveal himself to the group. Sam was surprised to see him as it had been a while and there was certainly signs of the time passing as Sean had shown up with an arm missing. “Hey Sean… You realize you only have one arm right?” he asked rhetorically, he noticed Zoe rising from the couch and Sam turned to his toast as he was introducing her, “Sean, this is my girlfriend Zo- Oh my god…” Sam’s jaw dropped and he caught the slice of toast that was originally caught inside of it, he had just witnessed his girlfriend punching one of his friends, Zoe never blew up this before and Sam was very shocked to see this happen, Sean stood there and took it like a champ too before rearranging his face back to normal again. Sam placed a hand on Zoe’s chest to hold her back slightly, “Erm honey… I hope you have a very good reason why you just punched Sean in the face…” he said, surprisingly there was one and it was safe to say that Sam was very close to punching Sean in the face too after hearing that he tried to kill his girlfriend.
It turned out that Sean had a better reason to be here than just a simple visit, but he wasn’t willing to tell Sam anymore information until they had parted ways with Zoe, Sam gave her one last kiss before grabbing his sword from his bedroom and attaching it around his waist. The two Titan’s left the apartment and travelled into an alley a short while away where Sean had conjured up a portal with the one arm that he had and they both stepped through it, Sam was immediately met by a strong wind as he noticed he was standing on top of a roof. “Titan Serial Killer huh?... Sounds serious” he said as he tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword, there was no immediate danger to them now, but knowing that his sword was with him made him feel slightly safer. They both walked to the edge of the rooftop and looked at the ground below, yellow tape, police cars and ambulances and a large crowd gathered around, Sam knew immediately that this was some kind of crime scene and no doubt one that involved the serial killer that Sean had spoken about not long earlier. Sam had already found death to be quite euphoric to be around, but to be around the death of a Titan almost made Sam dizzy, he could feel the Nether energy escaping the body of the deceased and there was a lot of it. Sam looked down upon the victim, a white cloth was placed over them in an attempt to hide the face from the crowd and cameras, when the crowd dispersed and the police where happy with their investigations and left, Sean dropped down to street level, in the interest of not chancing a leg break, Sam decided to climb down the side of the building instead.
“Well… The victim had died on their backs right? So they must have had something burned into their backs, hot enough that it transferred onto the pavement itself” the scorch marks looked to be cooled down now, but they were easily recognizable. “To be honest, I doubt I could be much help with this kind of stuff, I thought I was just here to help take down this killer when we eventually find him… speaking of killer, I still can’t believe you tried to kill my girlfriend man… not cool” Sam said, slightly joking but mostly serious, it would take some time for him to get over that, and he hoped Sean could understand why.

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
Milla was walking around the city. It was a cold windy fall morning and Milla zipped her jacket up as much as she could. There had been string of murder on the news and Milla could hear the screams of the people's souls when they died. She could of just channeled them to talk to them directly, but first she wanted to see what the scenes of the crime looked like. She approached the most current crime scene and stood at the back of a the crowd and waited. But she then sensed a strange energy. She had sensed the type of energy before, heck her own magic reeked of it. Nether energy, she could sense it coming off the corpse but more interestingly she sense two more figures on the roof of a building. Now why would the living give off nether energy. Milla looked up can scanned the roof tops to trying and find where exactly these two mystery people where hiding. She briefly noticed a bit of an outline of a man before he backed up out of her vision. The sun was behind them making ti impossible to see anything other then a silhouette.
Police started to push people away and Milla didn't fight them. She seemly walked away, but really she walked across the street and waited. After about an hour the police left. There would be a few minutes before the body would be hulled away. The time in between would be perfect to look at the body. Milla made her way across to the Alley way. Two to unknown people where hovering over the body, looking down at the body. She recognized one of the faces looking down at the body. A smile crossed her face, they had yet to noticed her and she had caught a bit of their conversation.
"Going to investigate the dead but don't bring the person who can talk to spirits? Didn't my brother tell you anything about his siblings." said Milla with the smug smile on her face. Last she remembered him and Aaron where close.[color:9fef=##993399] "It's been a while Sean, surprised I am alive?" Milla walked closer to the pair. "Now I can understand Nether energy coming off a dead body, but the amount that it's releasing in unnatural, just like how you two reek of it. Do you mind explaining?"

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
Sean ran a single finger along the fringe of the scorch marks in the concrete, eyes narrowing as he considered every possible variable within this little incident, huffing lightly as his breath came out in small misty clouds. He was aware of Sam’s presence and his analysis was about the same that Sean had thought of upon initially looking at the crime scene laid out before them, small bits of charred flesh having stuck to the ground from whatever caused the scorching. ” Looks like it but what could be so hot that it burned the concrete itself.” Sean mused over this, taking in what Sam said about how he had tried to kill his girlfriend, and that sounded like something that would not be let down quickly. ”But I did not kill her, nor did I really even lay a finger on her.” Sean noted as a small amount of Nether formed around his finger tip and he pressed it against the scorched ground, as the dark energy would sizzle lightly before he jerked his finger back. It was still hot, which meant whatever had caused this was perhaps powerful enough to leave a lasting impression within such material, and leave heat long after the body itself was gone as well as the source.
His senses then returned to the air around him, still ripe with the energy that reminded him so much of Ethereal, something that sent a chill down his spine. It seemed that someone with a bond were behind these killings, but why were they doing it? He let out a deep sigh, and moved from his crouching position, phantom sensations running through his stump, which had not even come close to getting used to this new situation. It was true that Sam was only her to fight for him, but then again he seemed more than fine with that small obligation, as his sword hugnered to wet itself with blood. He could have forced the little half breed to go about killing some humans, perhaps drown that humanity of his within the Nether of the dying, though then again something about his innocence made Sean feel at ease. That untainted human part that was trying to hold on against the dark impulses within him rising to the surface, and at the same time he wondered if he simply sympathized with that struggle. Sean popped his neck loudly, as he let his mind think over an analysis that his newbie to the occult would understand.
”And yes, you were brought here to help with the killer. I’m sure you would like to have that honor, maybe christen your blade properly.” That was when he felt the approaching energy, one that radiated a small amount of Nether within it, and one that felt slightly familiar. It was a familiar voice that caused his head to whip around, looking upon a female that made him do a double take. Sean raised a raven brow, wondering who this female was for a moment as if he had forgotten, looking from her to Sam. Something about her characteristics screamed familiar, like the blonde colored hair and green eyes that reminded him of a…..Hale. There was only one Hale that he knew that was female and not Arianna, which meant that this was perhaps Milla Hale. He remembered her dying or something long ago, and Aaron had been rather distraught at the time, which meant that he had to comfort the male in that time of horrible loss. ”Because we aren’t human.” He stated that fact as if it should have been obvious, eyes narrowing upon the female. ”I’m a Titan, and so is he. Well he’s only half of one, but that’s not important. Seems that Aaron hasn’t told you anything.”

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
Sam was simply taking the step back approach for this crime scene, he stood with his back to the wall to get as much of the crime scene in his vision as possible so he could really try to understand the situation and the possible events that could have occurred. Sean was taking a different approach and analysing every small detail he could find, unintentional but it proved to be a good team strategy. “Doesn’t sound like anything from this Earth” Sam said in regards to what could have scorched the ground like this, he also took notice of the statement about Sean not actually touching Zoe at all, Sam was not willing to argue about it so he simply stayed silent, but he still did not want to trust him as much as he used to. Sam watched Sean as he pulled his finger back from the scorched ground, it appeared to still be hot, there probably could have been a better way of testing the temperature than poking it, but the result was the same. Sam immediately tried to think of anything that could damage the ground like this and still stay as hot for this amount of time, nothing came to mind though, which meant it was something that he has never heard of and a possible threat to him.
Sam was quite excited to get his hands on the person that did this, both to repay him them for the murders that they have already acted out as well as the guaranteed safety of both him and Sean, and Zoe would probably sleep easier at night as well, he was also excited to use his sword properly too, the first time he used it he had to climb a gigantic monster to get a decent hit in, but he was too slow to reach the top and was almost crushed by the carcass of the thing, he narrowly managed to survive the ordeal, he was not able to even use his sword that time, so it was yet to see any blood and Sam was itching to use it on something.
Sam’s head snapped to the opening of the alleyway as he noticed a woman approaching them, Sam felt like their time was up and they should leave, but when the woman made it clear that she knew Sean and Sean knew her, Sam eased up slightly, taking his hand off of the hilt of his blade. This woman also made it clear that she knew what Nether was, so there was no hiding the fact that the two of them were Titan’s. Sam scratched the back of his head as he jumped onto a dumpster and sat on the edge of it with his feet dangling “Great, another reunion I have to sit through, I wonder how long this one will take before I’m told what is going on...” he thought as he kicked his feet out from under him and watched the clouds pass by in the sky.

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
"He, like the rest of my family only recently learned I was alive. There hasn't been much time to catch up on everything. It has only been a week." stated Milla, looking directly at Sean. "And I don't remember you reeking of Nether. By the way what happened to your arm."
Milla walked closer to the pair and knelt over the body. She scanned over burn mark. Whatever caused it was strong, really strong. "Definitely some sort of magic, what caused it I can't say right now. I haven't had time in the past to get a hold of magical texts. It is practically impossible when trying to stay low and off the radar, but it's magical. It could be spiritfire, hellfire or something totally different. Without seeing the flame or a magical text telling what it is will be hard. The fact that it's only burn marks doesn't exactly help much. But the strange thing is that when they died I could hear her spirit screaming. After that is was silent, which isn't unusual but I can't contact her spirit now." Milla turned her head and body enough to look at Sean. "And that is very unusual."
Milla stood back up and turned fully to face the pair. Sean knew she was but his friend didn't. She extended her arm out to him to shake his hand. "My name is Milla Hale. But more importantly what I am will be of help to you, a necromancer."

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
From what he could tell, what they were dealing with was not of this Earth, and having the Hale appear on the scene would only complicate things even more. Sure he had nothing against the family itself, but then again he was not sure if they had something against him now, especially for what he did on that night. "Only been a week?” Something about that span of time reminded him of something, and his stump ached over more, forcing Sean’s teeth to grind painfully together. It had been that long ago since he was crippled, both physically and by the Nether coursing through his body. She then had to ask about his arm, which made Sean grimace even more.
”It got cut off.” He stated simply, as if she should have guessed that was the only way that limbs could be removed with such a smooth looking seam; granted it was hidden within the sleeve of his jacket. It was likely that either really did not care about who had cut it off, but then again Sean did not care to tell them anyway. ’And things have changed a lot since you last were here.” His mother was dead, and everything had fallen apart from that point in time. She continued to speak about some kind of magical energy, one that she did not recognize but something seemed to call to Sean, his markings beginning to glow a bright red for a second.
It wasn’t something that was really noticeable, but then again Sean for a moment felt his skin growing warm from the strange light being produced. His mind raced over the many possibilities of this, while she then introduced herself to his friend, which was all fine for Sean. Sean turned from the ground to Sam, and then back to Milla Hale, sighing loudly. ”We don’t really need help right now, but you can if you want.” Sean noted perhaps overtly saying that he didn’t really want her coming along, but then again he would not mind if she did anyway. If this was truly the Ethereal energy that he knew from Ouroboros, then they would be dealing with someone that was truly dangerous, something that did not make Sean feel too willing within his state.
Sean flexed his hand, a single and rather minute amount of Nether jolting between index and thumb, and the small amount of effort to perform that made Sean feel a little tired. That was when his nose began to sting again, and his head grew blurry for a moment. It was within this blurry state that he swore someone was watching over them, though when Sean’s eyes darted towards the edge of the roof above them, all he saw was nothing.

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
Sam sat silently as the two continued to talk, they appeared to have a history together, but Sam was not really interested in learning it all, mainly because he doubted he would see this woman very often to talk about it and that there was a serial killer out there very well trying his best to hunt Sam down at this very moment in time. This woman seemed to know more about what was happening than he did anyway, it appeared Sam literally was just there to be a bodyguard of sorts, he was hilariously outmatched in the intelligence department... Sam was happy that this woman acknowledged his existence though, she reached out with a hand and introduced herself and Sam did the same “Sam Lock, but more importantly what I am is guy with a big ass sword…” he said amusingly as it seemed this woman made it sound like they needed her help.
Sam pulled his legs up under him after shaking the woman’s hand and sat cross legged on the dumpster as he watched his two team mates look closely at the crime scene, Sam looked left and right down the alleyway a few times to see if there was anyone coming so they could make a move, but it was pretty quiet on both ends. Sam heard Sean say that the pair of them didn’t really need Milla’s help, but she could stay if she wanted, to Sam that just sounded like Sean told Milla to leave and let the two of them handle it, but with Sam just being there to keep an eye out for anyone suspicious, it was probably best to get the most help possible. “This killer could very well be on the brink of finding me or you Sean, I’m happy for Milla to help if it means… you know… not dying. One thing I don’t quite understand though, if this guy is killing Titan’s and had just killed one right in front of us, it would be a perfect place to lure more Titan’s in to investigate, killers like to return to the scene of the crime right? They could very well be looking at us right now...” Sam said, the thought had not really sunk into his head until he finished what he was saying, that was when his grip tightened on the hilt of his sword again and he looked around one more time, he was only really there to keep Sean safe it seemed, it did not sound like a very hard task, so if he was to fail, he would hate himself for a very, very long time.

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
Milla rolled her eyes at Seans answer but she didn't press it. She highly doubted she would get a better answer then that. She forced a smile onto her face when Sam introduced himself. Was that an attempt to be witty? It made him seem weird to her. She laughed awkwardly and pulled her hand away. She simply just turned back around to pay attention to Sean, who was attempting to reject her help.
"What am I just not good enough to help you? Well then Sean tell me, how much about magic do you know?" said Milla with a smug smirk. "There were plenty of times you could of jumped in while your mother was training me and I remember you turning them all down. By the way how is she, I did miss her greatly while I was gone. I wish I could of finished my training under her. If she doesn't mind I wouldn't mind if she taught me again, there is only so much one can figure out on their own."
She walked around the body, staring down at it. "Your friend does have a point, this could be trap. But like I said i'm a necromancer and I know how to resurrect people as long as it's in a certain time frame, as long as your body doesn't reject my blood. And we only have a few more minutes before the body gets picked up and brought to the morgue. So you are stuck with me. I'll feel bad if you die when I could of prevented it. I atleast owe your mom that."

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
So it seemed that she just did not get the memo between the lines that she was not wanted here, but then again when did a Hale ever listen? She tried to divert it upon his own inability to perform magic, and further added insult to injury by mention his mother who had been murdered years ago. His teeth ground harshly across each other, eyes diverting to the covered corpse that lay only a few feet away from his feet, trying not to run the woman through on the spot.”You know very well that I can’t use magic, it was not a matter of not wanting to.” He said through tightly clenched teeth, tone now becoming rather scathing as if he was close to exploding on her. It was perhaps what made him grow close to Aaron’s twin in the earlier years, considering that they both lacked skill within the department of magic.
"And if it isn't obvious already, she’s dead. You can’t finish your training or anything, because someone fucking shot her.” He ended up snapping lightly as her before becoming what one would call introverted. In fact he seemed to ignore the woman altogether now, peering under the white draping of the corpse to see what looked like a horrified expression, one of both misery and indignation etched within the deceased’s face. Sean grimaced lightly, before pulling the light grey hood over his head and casting a shadow over his eyes; silver orbs which were smoldering now that old wounds had found themselves reopened. ’We have enough information, and I have no desire to fight with the local authorities” While even now he could have dealt with whatever was going to end up coming their way in the form of police, Sean did not feel like wasting energy.
He looked back to Sam from beneath the shadows of his hood. ”And I would rather not end up having to deal with the killer in this cramped space.” His speed was still a considerable force, but with his diminished energy, at most he could only use it to run away, and that was not an option. So Sean was the first one to make his leave from the slightly shadow bathed alleyway, breathing out more cold air when he heard someone say something, and that made him curse under his breath. They had wasted too much time dealing with the new arrival that the investigators had returned to collect the body, and they caught sight of these three people. A gun was drawn and Sean found himself once again in an annoying situation.

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
Sam laughed off his attempt at some humour, “I tried” he mumbled to himself. Sam was more than happy to have Milla help out wherever she could, but he was slightly annoyed that they would continue to talk about their history and not the present, the longer they talked about whatever they did in the past, the harder it will be to find this killer, and with his life at risk because of this, Sam was slightly angry about it and he would step in if he felt the need to.
Sam continued to look down the alleyway just in case someone stumbled onto them, his ears pricked up as Milla seemed to agree with him on something, he smiled to himself and felt quite smug that he was apparently right in something. He felt slightly colder however when she explained that she too thought it was some kind of elaborate trap, Sam’s grip could not be any tighter on the hilt of his blade now. Sam’s eyebrows rose as Sean seemed to bite back at Milla, explaining his inability to use magic, Sam was more worried about it catching anyone’s attention. Sean explained that his mother had been killed, shot apparently, with the way that Milla was speaking, she did not know about this, Sam bared some teeth, this will definitely make things more interesting, but it was not his place to discuss it further so he stayed quiet. Sam watched Sean’s movements as he lifted the cloth on the women’s body and studied it for a few seconds, after that he was ready to leave, Sam slipped off of the dumpster and was ready to leave as well. Sean took his leave and Sam began to follow before grounding to a halt. Two investigators had stumbled upon them with their guns drawn, yelling at them to put their hands up and get down onto the ground. “Alright… Just calm down…” Sam said before glaring over to Sean for a second. Sam vanished into a cloud of black smog, the investigators shrieked and almost fired upon what now is just a vacant space. The two investigators began pointing their guns to both Milla and Sean in turn, unfortunately for them, they had their back to the problem. Sam re appeared silently behind them with his sword drawn, he stepped up behind one of the cops and placed his hand over his mouth before running his sword through his back and out of his chest, the cop groaned in pain for half of a second before he fell silent, Sam pulled his sword back out through the man’s back and lowered him to the floor quietly, when the other investigator turned to see why his partner was so silent, his face turned to shock, he raised his gun to Sam, but he was not quick enough as Sam dashed forward and ran his sword through the other cop, this time through his chest. Sam yanked his sword back out of the man’s chest and used his index and middle finger to clean the blood off of the blade, he raised his hood over his head and looked to Sean, “Time to go?”

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
"M-Mistress Maire is dead?" said Milla, clearly shocked. The color drained from her face and suddenly she felt really bad. She was a powerful witch, Milla idolized her. She taught her not to fear the spirits that talked to her. Tears started to form in hers eyes and Milla quick diverted her gaze to the ground. She couldn't believe it. "I-I'm sorry Sean... I didn't... I just can't believe she's gone." Milla back pedaled to the wall, leaning against it she slipped to the ground, staring up at sky. "She was so strong..." Tears started to flow down her space. She forced her tears back and wiped the remaining tears off her face. She stood back up, regaining her composer. "I'm sorry for your loss. Your mother meant a great deal to me." Milla did her best to avoid her voice cracking but honestly didn't do very well.
That was when the two officers showed up, gun held out. Milla raised her hands up. But before she knew it the officers were dead on the floor. "The hell was that!" gasped Milla when Sam killed the two officers. "You didn't have to kill them they where doing there job!"

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
Sean let his gaze drift towards the ground, listening to the female’s apology for something that she had no control over in the first place. She had been murdered, but then again that was years ago, and yet it seemed that Sean could never really get over something like that. Something told him that trying to say that it was nothing, but then again it wasn’t noting, the whole thing was rather important to him. There was of course the token crying, which seemed to be what anyone did when dealing with the potential of tragedy, or with tragedy in general, something that was so….human. Sean glared down at his clenching hand, knuckles growing pale white as his mind ran over something for a moment, before then noticing the investigators that had walked upon them and with guns quickly unholstered.
They were not blamed of course, seeing as how appearing out of nowhere on a crime scene did make one suspicious and scared; humans were very apt to this response. Sean turned from Sam and Milla, and considered making the first move, though his teleporting friend seemed to beat him to the punch. His half breed friend could deal with them, so he simply raised his only existing hand, feigning surrender as things came into fruition, Sam turning into black mist and the blade jutting through someone’s chest. Nether was the first thing to rush from him upon death, and Sean made sure to take in as much as possible within that instant, feeling a small amount of strength run through his body. The other one was just as quickly dealt with, leaving them with two dead people bleeding out on the street, along with the one that was already lying dead.
Sean grimaced lightly, but then again he could not help but smirk at how far his little Titan had come since he first made him. Milla did not take well to the rather callous killing of the men, and Sean was not surprised in that respect, seeing as how she was painfully human in her outlook. Granted Sean was also partially human, so then again something within his sympathized with her view upon such a thing, however that did not matter. He stayed quiet for a moment, looking upon the two bodies before turning upon his two associates. ”It doesn’t matter why he did it, all that matters is that we get out of here before we end up piling the entire precinct in the streets. Since I’m sure after this they won’t be too forgiving upon people that run through their men.” His ton did not hold any bias within it, and when Milla wasn’t looking Sean even gave Sam a smirk of approval.
Hoping that Milla would listen to reason, Sean motioned for them to follow him and leave the alleyway where death seemed to fill it like a noxious gas almost, though that was for those that had grown used to the feel of Nether energy. He had an idea where they could go, or where he and Sam could go at any rate. If the necromancer wanted to follow along, that was up to her.

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
Sam listened to Sean explain his actions before adding something of his own, "I just saved you some time in a jail cell, you're welcome" He then turned back to Sean to receive his seal of approval. Tensions seemed to be quite high now, Sam was just doing his best to make sure nothing bad happened to the three of them, but the Necromancer did not seem to approve.
When he motioned, Sam began following away from the several bodies that filled the alleyway, although the energy being released from that place was rather nice to be around, he managed to pull himself away and follow the leader.
As the trio continued to escape from the scene, Sam began to think of Zoe and how much she must have been worrying about him, she worries about him when he goes out at nights, now she can add a serial killer that targets Titan's only, that is simply a recipe for disaster, Sam took a look around and actually had no idea where he was, he knew most of LA pretty well and he certainly did not recognize this place, all the more reason to go back and make sure she as ok. "If you two will excuse me, I'm going to check on Zoe, she's probably tearing her hair out right now." Sam stopped in a nearby alley and looked down to his hand and watched as the Nether energy formed around it, causing it to grow slightly into some kind of claw, he scratched the the air in front of him and formed a portal leading directly into his apartment, he passed through it, back into a familiar surroundings to check on how Zoe will.
((Sorry guys, deciding to take a break from this and needed to leave my current threads, I feel really bad because this was a quest, but good luck ))

Re: Whispers from the Ether [Zedekiah and Milla]
Milla realized arguing would be a losing battle, so she just sighed and followed Sean. Besides, she couldn't just stay there. Three corpses and one living woman standing on top of them didn't exactly spell welcome. Sean's friend mentioned saving them some jail time. "No you just possibly made it worse... He could of just said we were curious and we would most likely be on our way." Just as they where leaving Sean's friend mentioned checking in on someone and disappeared.
"Looks like it's just the two of us now..." said Milla her voice trailing off. She wondered where Sean was taking her. Either way he was different then she remembered.
