Personality:

Nyx holds her personal freedom above all else. After being imprisoned as a slave since she was 18 she cares for very little else other then her own safety and freedom. Not to say she is a bad person, she just is focused on keeping her self safe. She does actually have a caring personality although she can't remember if she was actually like that or if it was beaten into her. She also has a rebellious and carefree attitude, but like her caring nature she doesn't know if that was her true nature or if it grew into creation because of her years stuck of servitude. Despite her being free she will have moments of remission to the time she was a slave, usually those moments don't last long but she hates it when it happens.

History:

Nyx is part of a rare dying alien race known as the Aeducian. A naturally tall race ranging from 5'8"-7'0" in height. Aeducians have pale skin usually of a white or blue color. Hair color can be white, black, brown and in rare cases a vibrant orange. Either way in the galactic community are considered wise and elegant race, whose very presence demands the respect of others. The entire race has a rare ability to create and manipulate crystal structures. However female Aeducians have low rates of reproductive success, which has lead to a major decline in the species to the point of near extinction. And in the outer rims they are valued for a different reasons. Since slavery is part of the economic system, of the outer rims an Aeducian fetches a high price at auction. But since Aeducian are a protected race in the inner rim of the galactic government they are hard to get a hold of. However due to a treaty signed between the outer and inner rims governments if an individual is mark as a slave they will be treated as such in the inner rims and returned to their masters in the outer rims. The inner rim government wasn't a an of the treaty but it was one of the few things that prevented a war between the two rims. However the chance of being caught by a slaver was low.

Nyx was however one of the unlucky ones. She was out with friends when she got separated from them and caught by slavers. They placed an inhibitor collar on her which canceled out her natural abilities and the slavers could deliver an electric shock to her if she disobeyed. She was dressed in slave clothes and then was branded with the mark of a slave. The mark was under her arm near the arm pit. It was out of the way so it couldn't be seen but easy enough to find. She was put up for auction and sold to the highest bidder. The man who bought her was this ancient looking old humanoid alien. Once the auction was done she was thrown into a cave with a few bottles of water and dry pet food and was sent to her new home.

To say she didn't resist would be an understatement. Even though the inhibitor collar she wore prevented her from using her powers she did her best to resist. For the first few weeks of her enslavement she was probably spending more time being electrocuted then she was actually doing work. The person who bought her was determined though and eventually he broke her. Practically mindless she did whatever he commanded. In the back of her head she scream and cried out for her body to rebel but it didn't. She was her masters most prized possession. A wise and elegant Aeducian as his personal toy, waiting on his every whim. She spent the next 11 years like this, doing what ever her master commanded, her inner voice screaming in protest but her body not following up with her actions. But at the end of those 11 years when she was 29 something changed. She was watching her master break in a new slave. For some reason she looked to side and noticed the remote that controlled they collar she wore. The thing that prevented her from doing anything. For 10 minutes she just stared at it, Her inner voice yelling to pick it up and left her free. Slowly at first her body moved towards the remote but before she new it she was in a full out sprint. By the time her master realized what she was doing she held the remote in her hand. Resisting as much as she could to her master commanding her to drop the remote she pressed the button and her collar fell off. Freedom. A strange feeling rushed over her and she felt freedom for the first time in ages. After a moment of happiness so great she couldn't make herself move. She snapped out of it when guards showed up to restrain her. In the first time in 11 years she used her crystal generating powers to make an escape. She couldn't help but laugh loudly as she made her escape.

She hadn't looked back since. She jumped between planets in the inner and outer rim systems for a year and a half but she knew no where she went was safe. that was until she heard rumors of a planet beyond the outer rim system, whose location was only a guess. Her heart fluttered. If this planet was real it could be her way to freedom. It took her a half a year bu she eventually found the planet known as earth.
