Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
It was a warm night on the strip of DC, it was nothing short from hot either, it was a tiny humid and the small bar not to far away. Was a small place and often they played stupid little bands or had that usual poetry slam. Establishments like this often had some good beer or some good hair bands, a chameleon of the bar brands, and maybe rough and rowdy. She didn't mind and it was certainly a place she would much rather be than a fancy restaurant with flashy fucks with a lot of money even if she could be one of those people if she wanted. Those fuck tarts with their pretty cars and shit, she could understand if someone worked for it and broke their back. Some people? They would never know what it is like to give your back and bone for wealth and riches..
Slipping her mind away from her muses, she knew Venatorus was not going to be to far behind her. Both of them decided to go out on a bar hop, try to get shitty, since both of them had alcohol tolerance that was far from humane. Who would get drunk first? She thought to herself, her lips of a light reddish pink curling in a smirk. Saileyra not dressed in her armor as per usual and she knew bars would take to stare at her if she looked like the usual terminator bitch. So she kept things fairly simple but noticeable in some ways. There was no way in hell she'd leave home without her weapons, Xetakka', MERT, and Xeonix whom was resting on her shoulder in bird form. Leather graphene jacket on her shoulders, she had instead of her trinium under armor a black corset, adorning her feminine features. Nano-carbon of gray that mimiced what look like denim jeans on her lower half. Diamond studded belt aroused her hips, as they swayed left to right on the busy night life street.
Lips pursing, she was curious, how would she even get drunk to begin with? Her race was supernatural, they had hyper DNA, and they would take anything in even the most toxic recourse to sustain. Hmm. This would be an interesting night, diamond carbonate boots with the material tucked into the jean people spared a glance here and there at the ravenous haired beauty. This was as dolled as Sai would get..unless it was an undercover mission and god sometimes she hated those.. But, straying her mind from this concept she glanced to the bar it was maybe a small joint, but not to grungey. It was a dance club or sorts and half bar, she skipped the hole in the wall place..part of her wanted her alpha waves to get fucked up... Glancing over her shoulder she hoped to find him behind her...

Re: Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
Venatorus walked a few yards behind Saileyra. Her attire amused him; even when attempting to dress casually, she still wore the armor noticeable only to those with a trained eye, and the bird Xeonix was as always present. They walked for a few blocks, and Venatorus was ravenous. Not for food, but rather the alcohol that awaited him at their destination. It had been over a week since he had consumed anything with alcohol in it; a lifetime to him. He quickened his step, and turned his thoughts to other matters. People were occasionally glancing at Sai, and maybe a half dozen looked at him. These people were most likely harmless, the looks inconsequential. But one could never be too careful. Any one of these people could be a trained assassin.
He was scanning the surroundings for a potential threat when Sai glanced over her shoulder at him. He flashed a quick grin at her, then resumed his threat assessment. There appeared to be no metahumans, extraterrestrials, supernatural creatures, or any other threat in the immediate vicinity. Nobody was paying to much attention to the duo, or too little. He relaxed slightly. Tonight was to be a time of great joy, not to be constantly looking over his shoulder. Sai walked into the bar, a small place, but all together not a bad looking one. Venatorus walked in behind her. It was a dimly lit room, with what seemed like a decent band playing on a stage. He quickly approached the bar, requesting a pint of gin. The bartender gave him a a strange look, but didn't ask any questions. When it arrived, he took a ginger sip. Verifying the taste as that of quality gin, he proceeded to down half of the glass. Tonight was going to be fun.

Re: Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
The bar was quiet, some people glanced over to the both of them but it seemed like they were used to seeing peoples with weapons these days. It was a common ground in this world because of all the meta-humans running around they didn't find it uncommon for a meta human to have one nor a human. People disregarding both of them her eyes glinting in the darkness slightly as they stepped through the shadows of the soft windy night into the warmth of the bar. Despite the bar being cosy as it had been with the soft music and the low lights vibe she felt a sense of tension fluid through Venatorus.
Bird taking flight off her shoulder, it landed in one of the sky lights watching the door making sure no one would interupt their little binge drinking they ahd agreed upon. Following Venatorus in a bee-line to the bar her strong legs hoking around one the stools. With her ankle puling the chair, her rump sat on it. Stools in the bar simple, black, hooked around the simple blue neon of the establishment. Licking her lips, she smelled the quality gin he had ordered. Her eyes glowing in the slight darkness an eerie magenta. Taking her time to decide what she should drink, Saileyra waved the bartender over, "Give me a screw driver." She said simplistically, Vodka and Orange juice? Sweet delights to set the tone, it was going to be a good night so she settled on a sultry delicious mixed sweet drink.
Leaning forward, she placed her immediate elbow on the bar her body turning to face Venatorus. Magenta eyes glowing with silver rings as she looked at him as he indulged in the drink and chase half of it. While he was ravenous for alcohol, Saileyra was leisurely but swift; her cup remained nursed between her lips here and there and her swigs were swift, feminine, but deft as her cup a quarter of the way gone. "So how have you been?" She said, curious.

Re: Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
Venatorus looked up from his glass when Sai addressed him. “How have I been?” he mused aloud. “Hm. It has been a long time since I was addressed in such a plebeian manner.” He chuckled quietly to himself. “It is rather refreshing,” He looked into her eyes. “Even my so called ‘friends’ seem to keep themselves distant from me, which is in no small part my own fault.” He sighed; it seemed he was sighing a lot these days. “It has been a while since I could actually be myself around someone else, no secrets being withheld. I understand perfectly the importance in not telling all that I know, but it is quite tedious to have to constantly watch my tongue, for fear I would let something from either of my past life’s slip. Being from a world far away from Earth is hard, especially in these times,” his eyes flicked back from their wandering to gaze back into hers again “Ah, but that must be something that you yourself would know quite a bit about.”
He laughed at himself; he was rambling like an old man. “I am sorry, it appears I have digressed from the original question. How have I been? I have been excellent. Since my recruitment by O.C.E.A.N, I have been working on finally producing certain, inventions, of mine that I drew up the plans for long ago, and have been simply adapting for years now. It feels absolutely terrific to be involved with direct action again, instead of doing all of my work behind a desk or in the courtroom,” He was silent for a few moments, sipping the gin and listening intently to the band. His gaze traveled across the room, and he was lost deep in thought for a few moments more, before he remembered he wasn’t alone tonight. “And how are you Sai?”

Re: Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
Saileyra easing her drink in sips, her eyes remained locked on Venatorus his eyes scanning them as she stared at his face now her eyes scanning his features taking them in. He was musing outloud, how he was, was it that hard to answer? Then again, he was like her in some ways both of them were not from this world and maybe not from this time period she did not know in his case but his reply had her on edge. Of course she wanted to know, he was a new operative and also a new person she could possibly consider a friend on a personal level. "Well I have no reason to be distant from you Torus." She said, her lips curling into a smirk using a moniker she came up for him off the top of her head. "Well, in the confines of OCEAN I'd like to learn more about your past life." She said casually, people disregarded them didn't pay attention to their banter as she killed off the Screwdriver. That sweet taste coaxed her into another, the bartender taking her glass to refill it with a concoction she was currently enjoying to kick off a sweet sultry night. "Yeah people are keenly judgmental..total assholes." She said with some spite rolling off the tip of her tongue as her shocking magenta eyes glanced over to the people playing music.
Hearing his last phrase got to her, long locks of black hair tressed back her cheek bones as she craned her neck to glance at the furthest people at the bar. Fingers cusping the glass, nursing it as her thumb creased over the top her eyes looking back over to him. "..More than you know.." She said softly, her voice barely inaudible as she placed her lips to the glass with a smirk on her face. Taking a large sip, her fingers placed the glass on the table, but her slender fingers still wrapped around the condensed surface. "That's good. I was wondering if you would like to start making a com-link communication system. Powered by star-dust and natural cosmic energy to make suit for an undetectable communications system." She said, her voice churning, her intelligence finally showing for their interaction was brief for Plural did most of the work during their recruitment. Silence lingered, Saileyra not the selfish type and truly did not expect him to be involved with asking her how she was. Truly, it came a shock to her because no one really bothered to ask her that. She was commander, and it mattered mostly what her operatives had wanted. She had given them luxuries they could only dream of with the riches she had earned..
When revenues came through and others needs, she really only had enough for the common necessities unless she wanted to be greedy but she allowed the other to indulge..money meant nothing. It was another number and she had earned her wealth even if no one knew it, "I'm alright.." She said her voice lingering, before she sighed herself pushing her hair through her ear, "Well, not really. I'm desperately home sick between you and I, but I do have no intentions of leaving OCEAN any time soon. I couldn't leave here even if I wanted.." She said flatly, her voice slightly agitated a mixture of emotions appearing on her face. "But, none the less, tell me about your race." She said sipping once more, half the glass gone, shame she was going to waste so much money and not even get drunk...where was the evermead...

Re: Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
Venatorus opened his mouth once, to express concern, and offer condolences, with her homesickness. It was something he could relate to, and was one of the reasons he slept very little. Even for an Elrenian. He quickly shut it however; her command which quickly followed caught him off guard. It wasn’t even a command, per say, but as she was his commanding officer that was how he viewed it. He smiled briefly. It had been a few centuries since he had been able to speak to another being about Elrenia, with the exception of Chiro, the Capuchin-like primate whom had crash landed on Earth from Elrenia. Where to begin though?
“Elrenia was, well, still is I guess, a conflicted place. There are two major races, though there is no physiological difference between the two. It is more like the British and Americans on Earth; physically the same, yet fundamentally different otherwise. These are the Krazia (OOC Pronounced Krah-Zee-Ah) and the Kiaren (Key-are-en). I am a Krazian, and we were a Democratic society, Every person, so long as they are Krazian, and are not incarcerated at the time of voting, goes to the capital of their region, of which there are around six thousand, and casts their vote. Those who cannot make it cast a vote on their Darikumen, which is a cross between a cell phone and a computer. The screens are holographic, and can be controlled by speech and eye movement. Several models were introduced that could be accessed by brain signals, but this scared the public, as they found it to be too intrusive on their privacy within their mind.”
“Once the votes are cast, they are counted by a large computer, and it typically takes around twelve hours for the said counting to occur. Once the votes are tallied, the new leader, who is known as the Liritor, is in office for up to 25 years. Each year, however, there is a vote to see if the people would like to have him or her removed from office. If over 53% of the population decide that they want them out, then in six months the vote is held again. If it passes 53% again, then the Liritor is replaced with his Chief Advisor. The Chief Advisor will be in charge for six months, until another election can be held.”
“Speaking of which, the Chief Advisor was my father at the time of my rather abrupt departure from Elrenia. The Chief Advisor is chosen by the Liritor, and serves as long as the Liritor does. He can serve longer, however, if he is chosen again by the next Liritor. It is a rather secure job, though not as much as the American Supreme court. Much more secure than mine,” he chuckled slightly at this. “Though I hold nowhere near the power of the President, I still too have to fear the ever fickle crowd. The public can be very moody, and changes it’s mind often. As my uncle used to say, it is much like a woman,” This caused Venatorus to laugh slightly again, though it was bittersweet. He had not seen his uncle in a human lifetime, and knew not whether he was even still alive.
He quickly finished his gin, and ordered another from the bartender. He sipped it silently for a few moments, reminiscing about his time on Elrenia. What he wouldn’t give to return, if only for a short while. “The Kiaren had a near identical society to ours, with the main difference being that they were a monarchy. They also had far less Armonolin than us.” He smiled briefly at that “Ah yes, Armonolin. The primary source of power on Elrenia, and my own source of power. It was the cause of several wars, as 80% of the Armonolin that can be mined was found in Krazien territory. It could be found in a crystallized form, though it was very unstable that way. Recently, or at least recent when I was on Elrenia, a method had been discovered to process the Armonolin that is present in the air and water. This has eased some of the tension, and it was hoped that this might stop the wars between the Kiaren and Krazien. I do not know if it worked, as I have had no way of contacting anyone on Elrenia” He looked into his drink with a melancholy manner. “God knows that I’ve tried”.
“Though, that is another matter as well. ‘God’. On Elrenia, most people would be considered an atheist. Some others believe that there must be some form of higher power, to have created the greatness that is Elrenia, and the rest of the universe. I have always believed in a deity, though whether it is sentient is beyond me. However, I would not say that this being interacts with it’s creations any longer, for if it did then it must be a terrible being, what with the various wars, famines, diseases, and all other blights that plague the universe.”
He finished off that gin as well and went to order another, before deciding against it and going for a glass of brandy. He made sure to give the bartender twenty dollars as a tip; he planned on ordering several other drinks before the night was through. “Elrenia is like Earth, in most ways. It is a far more advance country, and we have suffered mightily for it. There was a time when Elrenia was a place far more barren than Earth, and we had no one to blame but ourselves. Fortunately, we stopped polluting our world in time to reverse the damage we had wrought.”
“Now, it is a very lush planet. We have vasts oceans, though they make up for about half of the planet, unlike the 70% on Earth. There are a few deserts, and we have polar caps, but for the most part all of the natural land is heavily forested, with both deciduous and rain forests. We have much of the same animal species, though there are several differences in the anatomy of our animals, and we have other, more extreme species. Our plants are quite different too. A few species are shared, but the majority are vastly different. For one thing, most fruit and vegetables are filled with an extremely potent alcohol-like substance. That is one of the reasons for the alcoholic tendencies of Elrenians, and our extreme tolerance to alcohol. Having an extremely high metabolism helps too. Because of this, we have developed several drinks which can make an Elrenian ‘drunk’, and would kill a human. Elephant too, most likely”
He frowned down into his drink. “While I enjoy the various alcohols Earth has to offer, I have yet to find anything as pleasing as Elrenian alcohol. It is a shame that in my eight decades on this planet, I have yet to become intoxicated once. It isn’t like I did it on a regular basis on Elrenia, but it pisses me off to not be able to reach even a slight buzz.” He took a drink of the brandy. “What about you? I would be very interested to learn about your planet’s culture.”
“Elrenia was, well, still is I guess, a conflicted place. There are two major races, though there is no physiological difference between the two. It isn’t like I did it on a regular basis on Elrenia, but it pisses me off to not be able to reach even a slight buzz.” He took a drink of the brandy. “What about you? I would be very interested to learn about your planet’s culture.”

Re: Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
His explanation was long, vivid, gave her insight to the two races and how their culture spanned and how genius it was for them to have alcohol in their daily lives. Yet, fabricated, it was something he could never achieve here, forever sober. Boy could she relate, her fingers tapped on the glass as she put herself into deep thought. Saileyra's ears primed on each and every word he had to offer her about his people, who he was, what he was different from the human species. Democratic in some ways and the others almost too aristocratic, did that bring problems? Did war break out? Why was he here? So many questions remained...
Why didn't she ask? Well, sometimes, some questions weren't meant to be asked because his people was flourished, intelligent, and he gave her indications their technological advances were far superior than her own countries. Sai licked her lips in the thought, was there more to the human life form? Was there even more to Elranians? Kazians? And their opposite? It was all more of a mystery to her than it had ever been before. Opening up to Saileyra was like opening up to a child who was never satisfied with the answers she was given even if she allowed those answers to pass.
"Your people sound majestic, advanced, and by the way your putting things some of them really knew what the fuck they were doing to survive for so long. "She said, complimenting, her glasses were stacked on top of one another. Through their banter, she had to kill at least two glasses worth of a screwdriver. Switching drinks, the woman took to a sultry rum and coke a simple drink for a social banter. Feeling kind of pirate in theme, she only smirked in her silly, silly thoughts. But, Venatorus was interesting, he and her were alike in some ways.. She was an alien herself, a different race, and one who also took a lot of alcohol to get drunk or to even feel a buzz. "My culture?" She questioned, her eye brow raising as she had speculated in spilling to him about her home world... A1. He would be the first to lean about it, but then again would it be right...?
Could she give up so much information she held from even the best of her operatives? Well, he did ask, and if he seen her any different she was sure he would walk away from the entire situation. Taking a breathe, she mustered the courage, she had to speak and he would learn, "I can't get drunk that easily myself..so I can understand..but let me brush on the similar topics you did to be ..even I guess." Turning towards him completely, her carefully nursed drink was put aside as she stared at his eyes, "I have yet to tell anyone about my home planet, my life before this world, and how I ..keep going between here and there." She said, her eyes glowing, scanning, staring. Wondering his reaction, as she continued, "I am not from this timeline..I am from 2,700. About Six hundred and fifty years from this point.." She said, her voice soft, "Earth is nothing but a wasteland.." She said, her voice was hurt.
"Recently, well a few months ago I crashed onto this planet for some odd reason and I made it my reason to make sure some Metahumans make it to the fucked up future I live in.." She said softly, her fingers running through her hair as her magenta eyes showed years of stress, battle, and tire. "I woke in a tube, I was..birthed by a women at one point but transfered to a tube for 200 years where anti-aging serum amongst many other..things that make me what I am. I am the ideal human. I am the super human. I am the XETA... Xeno Evolutionary Terrestrial Ascendant. I have super DNA, I am able to survive mass radiation, I can live for years without food, and I do not need to worry about even the most simple things such as death..for our kind become higher with it. Gods..sometimes.." She said, her voice low, keeping him leashed on her voice.
"There is no..hierarchy, no government, there are only 26 of us fighting for our lives against other forces. We are the last of what humanity..considers human. Humanities last creation and their wish to be of perfection." She said, her flawless lips arching, making each word perfectly pronounced. "And we were supposed to be humanities perfect weapon. But with the super DNA and the human mom it caused a lot of rejection 20 Males 6 Females.. " She said, her eyes staring, "Each having a name starting with a consonant in the alphabet with 'Ai' At the end of the name.. Example, Sai, Lai, Dai..and the list goes on. These are my brothers and sisters and they..they are the ones that we fight together with against a force that has been killing other siblings.." She said, her voice was low eerie, her eyes deep in memory, "So..we fight. Against each other and with our programming to fight.. it is ..like sex. I guess you can say, addicting, we get off on it. Some have more control than others, and sometimes not at all..those who are infected by this disease are no longer themselves..become dark and end up hunting the rest who are light. It is...twisted, dark, and I can't tell you..how hard it is to survive when all you know is already dead.."
She said, her eyes were staring at her hands now, her fingers clenched, her fingers bleeding slightly, it was obvious, she didn't like her home planet very much and she sure hell was through the war. "Our planet recently got it's flora back..and now? Well, it might all be gone..I can switch between the time lines and everything with a machine..but..it seems to quiet to be true.." She said, her voice soft, her fingers releasing as her bloody fingers had dried blood + some wounds on her palms from how nervous she was.

Re: Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
Venatorus was stunned. He knew that the Earth was far from in great condition ecologically, but barren within seven centuries? That seemed like a very extreme outcome...though, if the population of Earth continued to grow, it might be possible. No, correction, it was possible, as apparently it had already happened. Venatorus’s pulse quickened slightly. They had to do something, and before it was too late! He forced himself to calm down as he gathered his wits among him. (A), she was still talking, and (B.), it’s not like he could do anything right away. The future must have already been changed, as Sai arrived here. That, and everything she has affected, and the people who have met because of her...relatively small changes in history today, but as with the butterfly effect stated, a tiny change today could result in an entirely different future.
He sat enthralled by her tale. She spoke of perfected warriors, and a time several centuries into the future. When she mentioned that, Venatorus realized something. His planet may be far into the past, or future, of Earth. It was far more advanced, but since Elrenian years were different than those of Earth, and it had been a long time since he had been on his home planet, it was hard to tell. He put the thought away, for now, as she was still in her narrative, but made a mental note to go back to that later. It was an interesting concept to him, and one he was determined to answer.
She finished her tale, and it was a great one indeed. It seemed to truly bother her, as it would any sane person. No wonder she had never told him this before; it was an awesome ((in the true sense of the word, meaning worthy of awe)) story, of a place that seemed so very brutal, and yet something in him was excited by it. This terrified him; he felt a bloodlust that was incomprehensible, and unlike anything he had ever felt before. His hand shot out to grab his drink, but he did not miscalculated, and crushed the glass. He looked down with shock, and then embarrassment a few seconds later. Mumbling to himself, and apologies to the bartender, he quickly cleaned up the glass, and disposed of it in a trash bin a few feet away. He excused himself to go to the bathroom, as he had gotten glass in his hand.
He removed the glass that he could see, and washed off most of the blood. It stung slightly, but he was more concerned with the mirror. His face was pale, and his eyes bloodshot. He was a mess, and yet less than a minute ago he had been fine. What was happening to him?
He jerked back as someone entered the bathroom, and Venatorus had almost struck them with Armonolin before he realized they were just human. Or so they appeared to be. With his nerves shot, he returned to the counter and told the bartender to get him two bottles of their strongest alcohol. She started to protest, but he pulled at a wad of cash and threw it on the bar. “That should more than cover it. Whatever is leftover is a tip,” she glanced between him and the money, then took it and brought him his requested “drink”. Without paying attention to what it was, he downed a mouthful, and then another. It was a few seconds before he remembered Sai was there. He turned towards her, and leaned against her side. He was larger than her, and he was usually against physical affection, especially as he didn’t know how Sai would react. But he needed to feel another human ((species aside, Venatorus considers himself human)). He sighed, and leaned back up. “Sorry” he mumbled, taking another mouthful of the bottle. It was almost a third gone now. He leaned forward and put his head in his hands, the rage and lust for blood he had felt earlier having subsided.

Re: Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
It was a world and time where people..were raped, killed, and the survivors remained in Divixeon City. There was so many details she could get into but with the look in his eyes something told her he was flabbergasted. Maybe he figured out her reason for being here, to hopefully preserve humanity. All OCEAN Operatives were part of something much bigger, they were the Federation of the Past. They were operatives of time itself, not that they would ever know that..and only the very bright few who could comprehend that. Plural could probably read into that but she never made it that obvious. Sai's world and time had become a shit hole..she couldn't count how many people she killed, how many innocent people from other races she had ended to preserve her own. A cut-throat existence she didn't want anyone else to fucking experience; she was quiet after she had finished. Spacing and pretty fucking hard, Sai was in her mind, in a place where she didn't often go. A deep dark one, her full lips of a reddish pink parted as she sighed until she heard....
Venatorus was quiet for a while, both of them learning something new about each other. Killing off the drink in one strong swing, she wished she could feel a sweet buzz but it sure hell didn't happen. Sai herself was stuck with sobriety and her need to destroy. It was fueling her, she wanted to break some bones, but the other side of her felt ..saddened. Home. It was a place she loved and hated, hell, with her last visit she had -just- managed to get the flora back on the Earth A1. Hell, she didn't even do it..The Prophet did. Crack, something broke, her eyes glanced immediately from her own empty glass seeing Venatorus with a hand full of glass and a bewildered look in his eyes. "Torus." She said, her voice caught, she didn't really know what to do. Her own bloodied hand pushed her hair aside as he rushed to clean push things around shuffling. She didn't bother to help, she felt like she'd intrude, nor was she the type to help when someone else did it.
Fingers clasping and unclasping, she leaned in her seat, her mind racing with questions. Her curiousity unrivaled, but it only made her wonder? Why did he react that way? He was fine a few seconds ago.. did her story make him upset? Would he leave OCEAN? So many questions, did she want answers? Yes, but she would not force anyone to speak on a off-duty get out of the compound type of thing. It was a while, he was in the bathroom picking the glass out, maybe she should go and help..but he was old enough to do it him damn self. Glancing over him to pay, she only growled slightly, her beast within wanting to cover it. Part of her wanting to pin him to the bar and ask him why, but her programming plus her emotional spectrum challenged each other. Balanced each other out as all she said flatly, but her voice unamused, "Thank you." She said to him, but he ignored her. Didn't help any; did she do something wrong?
But she was ignored, she didn't like it, growling she noticed him notice her. "Did I do something to agitate you?" She said bluntly, "I don't like being ignored if I did do something to piss you off." She said, her voice in a matter-of-fact voice as he leaned against her. Sai did not mind 'bonding' as some liked to call it nor did she mind him leaning on her. She was friendly, she just did not know it, but she seen him put his head in his hands. It only agitated her, what the fuck was up with the mood swing? "Can you tell me why your PMSing right now? So I don't feel so damn fucking confused..." She said angrily, her voice almost rolling over those words like acid..but truly, Sai cared in the most oddest of ways.

Re: Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
Venatorus growled, and his head snapped up. He was about to make a very “unpleasant” comment to Sai about the PMS thing, when he stopped in his tracks. He had just growled. At another person. Not only that, he had just growled, he had just growled at Sai, someone who he considered a friend, and comrade. He felt the blood drain from his face, and his eyes widened. What was happening to him?
His voice trembled slightly as he avoided Sai’s eyes. “I-I don’t know” he whispered. He was utterly terrified. If he didn’t know any better, or if he had been a female, he would have attributed it to the term Saileyra had used, ‘PMSing’. He sat up all the way, looking over Sai. He was ashamed of himself, but more than that he was scared. More so than he had ever been in his life, and that was saying a lot.
His head felt like a carousel of emotions, flicking from one to the next at an insane speed. Almost to himself, he muttered “I don’t know. I, I just don’t know. I don’t KNOW!” With that last word, he slammed his hands, which had slowly been filling with Armonolin, onto the bar, causing the bar to shatter. Several drinks were thrown off, and a few people who had been leaning on the bar were thrown back. He looked startled down at his hands. Well, there goes any chance of his powers remaining anonymous. “Goddammit” he muttered. He sighed; any traces of the anger which had just been present were now gone. He reached into his pocket, and wrote a check to the bar for a few hundred thousand dollars and handed it to the bartender. That should be enough to fix the bar and handle any lawsuits.
Now extremely tired, he walked out of the bar and sat on the curb. Placing his head in his hands, he almost started to cry. What the Hell was wrong with him? He stood up abruptly. Maybe they could conduct some tests back at OCEAN HQ, and see what it was! If anyone could find out why he was so fucked up right now, it would be Plural. Or maybe one of his other comrades in the tactical squadron. Either way, he was going to get it solved.
He almost ran off, before remembering, again, that Sai was with him. He whirled around, hoping to see her there.

Re: Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
This guy was confusing her, what was up with the sudden change? Did she do something wrong? Was this her fault? What the fuck was going on and how the fuck was she going to do something about it? She was angered, kind of agitated at his actions and his sudden change in mood. Did he dislike her? So many questions, he was her operative yes, but in a setting like this..he was just someone she was hanging out with.. a friend. This was more personal, strictly unprofessional, and slightly worrying tilting her head her fingers ran through her hair was he growled at her. She couldn't help it, her lips curling into a scowl she resisted her urge to growl back..claim dominance. Fucking beastly instincts.. but she didn't, she respected him and she would not challenge him in an establishment like this...
Now he was trembling..shaking, what the hell was going on? Then he said he didn't know, she stared at his eyes as his moved away from hers. Sai's fingers thrummed on the bar as she was quiet. It was awkward, her anger was washing away into confusion, worry. As his were all over hers was rational and steady albeit impulsive. This man in front of her now looking her over, not sure, his eyes showed..confusion, fear? She stood up now, she was slow, not sure how to approach a man with some anger, shame? And Fear? It was all too weird..
Then he started muttering like a mad man over and over, harsh words, words of not knowing. He didn't know, it was frustrating him, "Torus." She said softly, her voice soft, gentle, coo'ing trying to keep him from doing something to expose himself. She knew the man was angry, hell, everyone was staring at them. Her fingers reached to his arm urging him to calm but his last words sent glass and hurtling silver ware everywhere the bar destroyed. Leaving Sai standing there with an angry bar man and Taurus writing a check and handing it to the guy frantically. Part of her wanting to pay for it..she had the money, she knew she would deposit some money to him in a wire to make sure e wasn't behind on any of his bills. Licking her lips, a nervous habit, she turned her head as her beautiful eyes stared at the people frowning at her.
Following him shortly, outside, she would only be a few seconds if not a minute, she ran out of the bar even. Strong legs moving finding him not to far don the side walk, on the curb; his head in his hands. What was going on? For the first time in history, she did not have an answer and damn right she was an intelligent women. Approaching him, she placed her hand on his shoulders, her form on the balls of her feet her knees on the either side of him as she gave him a shoulder rub. Trying to relax the man, she knew it helped people..sometimes. Hopefully he didn't spaz on her for trying to help in the most human way she knew, "Relax." She said softly, hoping to get the man some level...
Re: Nothing Like Some Whiskey... [ Closed to Solaronic ]
"Sai, I am relaxed," he said, grinning at her. He opened his mouth to explain his plan to Sai, when a crushing rrealization hit Venatorus, like a blow to the solar plexus. He didn't want to be helped. But, he did. His mind could not decide; the bloodlust he had felt was so invigorating, but it was also terrifying. He grimaced; it was like his mind was divided in two, each half belonging to a completely different people.
He was on the verge of tears when he looked st Saileyra. "I-I'm so sorry Sai..." he whispered, before running out into the street, fleeing from the bar, Sai and his himself.
