Personality:
Generally a kind and caring person. Has a high patience, and tends to be the one to defuse a situation. However, when his patience runs out he is a force to be reckoned with. Will kill if ordered to do so, or if he feels it is absolutely necessary.
History:
Deacon was born to Michelle and Gregory House on October 7th, 1986, in Washington DC. He lived in thirteen states, a blend of the North and the South, from the time he was born to when he was eighteen. His mother was a veterinarian, treating animals that ranged from muskrats, to common house dogs, to water buffalo. His father was a doctor, who specialized in diagnosing and treating infectious diseases. From his parent he gained his love of animals and medicine, which was ironically physically  manifested in his abilities to heal and turn into any animal. These powers appeared while Deacon was fifteen, and steadily got more powerful until he was twenty-one, at which his abilities increased at a much slower rate.

At the age of eighteen, when Deacon was halfway through his transition into a full-fledged metahuman, he began his freshman year at Harvard. He had quite a rebellious streak, and it was not uncommon for him to break at least a half dozen minor, and usually one moderate, rule a day. That ended abruptly in 2005. He and an extremely close friend, who was also a metahuman, traveled to the Philippines for Christmas break using their parent’s money. They ignored the various signs and warnings prohibiting it, and went into a restricted area where a historic battle had been fought . They thought it would be cool to take a few pictures and then leave. However, the reason the area was restricted soon became apparent, A local militia, who had been gaining several new recruits, was using this area as a training ground.  The government could not find the exact location of this particular militia group, and so they set up a makeshift barricade surrounding the area. That would have been enough to keep out a normal person, but not two stubborn reckless teens who could fly. They both flew over the fence, Deacon in the form of a sparrow. After a couple of minutes exploring, there was an explosion behind them. Followed by another directly underneath Deacon’s friend. His legs flew off, and he was propelled a couple dozen yards forward. Deacon desperately attempted to heal him, but that particular power was not fully developed (around a 2 abi) A group of Filipino men came crashing in out of the woods, carrying guns. Deacon yelled and turned into a tiger. Not a single one of them was left alive.  

This caused Deacon to grow up a whole lot in a short amount of time He finished Medical School, then enlisted into the military. He served for about six months, before they decided no matter how good he was at healing, he was still a metahuman. He was discharged, and left without a job. It’s not like he could go to his father for money, as he had cut himself off after the trip to the Philippines. So he opened up his own private practice. As most people refused to be treated by a metahuman, he cared mainly for  other metahumans and the poor, although he would occasionally get a patient who was simply tolerant of metahumans. His services were free, and he was kept aloft by a small group of rich metahumans who donated to him, so he could continue his practices. He has since embraced his upbringing as a Catholic, and though he rarely attends Mass he has memorized the bible, New Testament and Old.
