Looking to get into a RP.

Hey everybody! I'm new to the site and have been aching to do some role playing with my City of Heroes toon, Kid Panther.

Here's what I'm thinking:

Kid Panther, or Derek Knight, is a champion kickboxer. I was thinking we do a role play where he is about ready to enter a kickboxing match.

Now, I don't have anything set up, so if anyone would want to add to it before we get it started that'd be great!

Nice! I was a Guardian-ite myself. Gah I miss that game SO hard. Thank goodness we have Icon and forums like this to tide us over until The Phoenix Project, Valiance Online, or Heroes and Villains finally comes out, right?

I know exactly what you mean. I've been aching to play City of Heroes again and to get this character's story to go onward.

By the way, how/what do I do with that application grid?

Well, start with the rules. Once you have those down, head over to the Character Application section. That's the template for how you make your character. Fill in your history, information about your character, appearance, and etc. Once you get to the grid, just figure out how you want your character to fight. The Stat Equivalents page can help determine WHERE you think your character's prowess lies. If you use items, they have their own process that we can walk you through.

Remember: You get 30 points to start your character with. So (as a boxer) you'd probably have pretty good physical values, such as Strength, Speed, and Fighting Skill. Put points into those and you should be able to form the character you imagined. Remember, you can have your stats only as high as 8, since you're a new character. Only 2 of them can actually be that high anyway, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

There are a FEW Banned and Restricted Powers, but you don't sound like you'll be hitting those.
