Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Questions about power selection
So I'm working on my character. Been doing so for a while now. I gotta say, these rules are not the easiest to get used to on the first try. Let's see if I got this right:
Trying to make a character who fights hand-to-hand. He has a single blade strapped to either hand (Think Wolverine, but with only one scythe-shaped blade instead of claws). He's had a good amount of time to practice with them, so he'd need at least 3 or 4 points in FS.
His small stature makes him kind of a pushover in a fight, however, so I was hoping he'd be able to use Alchemy (or Magic) to boost his abilities to match other superheroes. For instance: Say he has average human abilities in most of his categories. He's pretty smart, but only because he's been alive for a REALLY long time. So EXPERIENCED would be the better term than SMART. As such, he uses his int and his occult expertise to make Boots to make him faster, gloves to make him stronger, a vest to help him take a hit, and a cloak to grant temporary flight OR invisibility (but not both simultaneously). Note: These would NOT be technological in nature. Those magical items, coupled with his blades (likely Enchanted to not break or dull), MAKES him into the better fighter he dreams of being. Think of it like this: I want to make Tony Stark of the Druid world, only with blades instead of energy blasts.
With all that in mind, how would I set up this character? I was thinking he needs a point or two in Ability to stop his Aging process. He needs a high Occult score to get his items (I think? Can he even have that many stat-boosting items? I think part of my confusion here stems from the list that says only one stat-changing item per int/occ, then lists more items that you can have for each level LOWER in int/occ? What?), and decent-to-low scores elsewhere. But if he cant get the items he needs through enchanting, he'll need to use spells. In fact, having his items be activation-based (not always-on) would be flavorful. Or is that how they work already? Do Items have levels? How do I determine their levels? And if I require spells, that equates to a high Magic score, right? And a higher Spell score to get more spells. With all these points spent to make the character flavorful, will I even be able to compete with other characters?
Sorry if I'm asking too many questions. I should probably go read through everything again. The system has a high learning curve, and I'm floundering here at the bottom. Anyone care to throw me a rope? Ack! That was another question!

Re: Questions about power selection
This should be in the RP Planning/OOC section. Not the announcements area. I'll move it for you, and edit my post to reply to your question.

Re: Questions about power selection
Ah, alright. The section descriptor said to stop by here "If there's anything you'd like to know." So I wasn't thinking things through at 4am. XD
Thanks for moving it!
