Rai Dercy

Rai Dercy is intelligent, cheerful[he always seems to be happy], thoughtful, kind and sometimes isn't quick to trust others. He is intelligent due to the extensive education he got, always a step ahead of his class-mates, clan-mates and friends, he was quickly shuffled off to top-tier Academy classes and after the academy he got private tutoring. His intelligence does have its limits though, his plans and ideas are usually overridden by his lack of confidence or the fact that he doesn't fully trust himself[the exact opposite of what you would expect from someone with a ridiculously happy attitude].

He is almost always cheerful, his happiness is so intoxicating that it is contagious and his smiles and laughter make others laugh and smile because they are so wonderful. He always seems to say the right thing, sacrifice things and just be nice period, this is the opposite of what you would expect of a Dercy; a thoughtful and kind personality that drives him to always want to help people, though the fact he isn't quick to trust others usually interferes with this. His thoughtfulness and kindness is as contagious as his laughter, driving others to be kinder and gentler than they were before they met him.

Now onto the last part; he isn't quick to trust others, this is a weakness on his part that drives him to be confused emotionally and pretty much just mope around making others wonder what is going on with him. Despite his intelligence he isn't a good liar and due to his innocence[regarding lies, everything else has kind of lost its innocence] he always tries to tell the truth and is blunt, this means that he will usually tell others if he doesn't trusts them, if he has a crush on them or really anything else which clashes with his lack of trust with others and causes him to be emotionally confused most of the time and, if it is bad, slightly psychologically imbalanced.

Overall he has a personality mixture that is a literal recipe for psychological disaster. Some aspects of his personality interfere with one another and affect him directly, the stress from this can even cause him to become physically ill. Due to the fact that he may become emotionally imbalanced he is always under watch and given medication and check ups occasionally. He is known for his unique combination of bluntness and his lack of trust, though once he gets past the second one he usually warms up to someone and becomes more thoughtful. When he is quick to anger really depends on all of these things, if he is hurt[mentally] his anger will usually flare faster. This is what makes Rai, well, Rai, slightly broken yet still held together by his insatiable curiosity and [seemingly] unending happiness, though when he isn't happy you'll know to help him through it if you know him well and if you don't, well, that would be bad for him since he is usually unaware of what consequences there may be for getting too angry. This is Rai, I hope you accept him as a friend and I bet he hopes so too, maybe some day he can achieve more than being just the nearly broken, but still held together Dercy that doesn't really fit in with his clan due to their total and utter psychological differences.

Now he is different, changed after 3,000 years of life he is a totally different person.

Born into the main part of the Dercy Clan Rai was barred from playing with those of the Branch Clan for fear of them 'corrupting' him, though he found a way around this. He was a busy child, always finding ways to ruin his parent's day or ruin something in the Clan's complex. At an early age he had taken an interest in anything that had to do with engineering, like Legos and toys that let him build things. He always had a smile on his face when he was little, always laughing, it was obvious he was going to be a happy child, well, he already was. He seemed to get everything he wanted, which may be due to his wealth or the fact that his parents spoiled him, the only thing he didn't get was a friendship with one of the Branch children, the ones he always tried to play with. He was confused as to why this happened and as a result of his young age he formed a personality that was blunt, kind, thoughtful, happy and took time to trust all in one, an odd combination indeed, but he is an odd child. He was found to be extremely intelligent, as he was potty trained, knew how to use eating utensils, could follow the instructions for his Legos and various other things.

Around the time he was 8 years old he found out why he couldn't be friends with the Branch Children; they were simply indentured. As a result he begged his parents to make it go away, getting a simple 'It's the way things are' in reply to his two-week begging fiasco. He was mentally distrought for the next week or so as he had made friends with one of the Branch Children, despite his parents wishes. Because of this the Branch Child was payed special attention by others, not wanting to upset Rai again; and not because he would complain to his parents about the way Branch Children were treated but because of his ridiculous week-long, seemingly unending, loud crying that woke up the Clan Complex in the middle of the night, all the time. Though he was usually picked on for being a cry baby this was the only way he knew how to react to things until he matured, this mixed with the fact that he had not yet developed his abilities worried his parents and the rest of the clan.

As the approached the age of nine years old the rate at which he matured[psychologically and physically] increased and he hit puberty at an earlier age than he should have. Despite this he still stayed his same old cheerful self, though he stopped the crying. As of now he made a few more friends with in the clan, Branch Sector included, and some outside of the clan. He eventually was found to excell in the academy, his Photographic Memory having developed to the point it was somewhere in between an Eidetic and Photographic memory. During this time due to his development he gained enhanced sight and could see things clearer than most and further, though not much it was obvious that he was developing his abilities, albeit slowly, even if it meant that he could not turn it off he would still have them.

By the time he turned nine years old he was socially flourishing, it was always found that he made friends fast[despite his lack of trust] when he was in a good mood. During this time he had slightly overcome his lack of trust for others, thought it would severe once again when he had too many friends[in his mind] and he overloaded from it. He had good grades in the academy, made best friends with another Branch member and another person and his Branch friend was like a brother to him. He was actively playing outside and everything was good, great in fact; he always got the best reports from the doctors, was eating healthy[he always had] and even had his own schedule. His social, mental/psychological and educational development were par-on-par with his physical development, this meant that he was budding. He had already achieved top-tier literacy in several languages, surpassing everyone in his class by the time he was 11 and due to this it was decided he would graduate early. They thought it would be a good idea to have him graduate early with the other Dercy and his other friend but it wasn't; due to this he closed up again because he had too many friends and at the same time he wanted to make more, altogether it 'overloaded' his emotions and confused him.

During this time he often found himself staring at men and women alike, though he always tended to look towards the men more. He found himself longing for an intimate relationship with another person, which was normal but due to his other issues it was far too much and he quickly shut down that longing. Despite all of this he still excelled in private studies, cleaned up nicely and often spent the night at his friends' houses. Because of this he was carefully watched, it was noted that it was slightly odd for him to be like this at this point and that he needed to get past this so that he wouldn't be so socially awkward as the aspects of his personality often collided and when they did they clashed. He was still developing physically and despite the fact that he stopped growing at 5 feet 4 inches tall[and he would stay this height until he had a growth spirt in his later life and grew to surpass 6 feet] it was evident that his abilities had improved. He was distraught by the fact that his father died [he died during a mission regarding an Omega Level mutant, his whole team died but so did the mutant and his father], during this time he was usually found looking for comfort in other people which he luckily found due to them being caring. He quickly found that he liked becoming more independent but at the same time loved the comfort he found with his mother, right now she was the only one[blood relative] he had and was the one that was most needed.

By the time he hit thirteen years old his two friends had been long gone, though over the time the three best friends had together they had bonded so much that they still kept in contact. Through their constant and consistent contact with each other the three friends found out more about each other's lifes and more about their pasts having even opened up about things that they couldn't have in person through their letters. Overall the contact with his mother and the comfort she brought him mixed with his contact and consistent with his two best friends and the Branch Child he had been friends with so long helped mend the emotional rift caused by the untimely death of his father and the fact that his friends have moved away in the first place. During this time he had developed even further mentally and physically by focusing his time on learning martial arts skills and refining them and his ability. Despite the obvious fact that he was focusing on martial arts his mother still cheered him on despite the fact that they wanted him to be ready for making use of his abilities, all she wanted for him was the capability to use all of the Clan's control techniques with ease as it would make him deadly but she supposed that having an unlikely advantage yet still being an extremely capable martial arts user was good especially if you were able to use the advantage to its fullest effect. The rest of his years are lost to his mind and memories and seem to have a pattern, though it can be said that during this time he became an expert Martial Artist despite not learning the Jutsu and became better at various other things and that he also gained an interest in art and though he would never go into the arts for a degree he still found it interesting to make art.

It was obvious from a young age he would be a bright child, and he was, he was a prodigy. The thing that makes him special is not the tragedies that always seem to haunt him but the choices he makes, he choose to become the way he is today, a villain. He had the chance to change the world through science and through his abilities but he choose the darker path, the path that meant he would have power after all, the path that meant he would eventually rise as someone else...a monster, or the creator of the darkest things. He is Typhon.
