Atypical Reunion

Raine was circling low around New Your City, searching for Pain, or even other GUN members she knew. She figured if he was anywhere, it was here. New York City had some pretty weak criminals, at least to anyone in GUN they were weak, but every now and then some real villains would come along to terrorize the city. After all, Raine had been one of those villains so she knew what is was like. She stopped circling as she thought she spotted Pain on top of one of New York's many skyscrapers. She landed her ship on a nearby building and created an ice bird to fly her the rest of the way, as her ship was far too large to land on the particular building she wished to be. As she landed Pain did not seem to notice her presence. Well, this is it....
"Pain!" Raine called. The wind whipped her hair about, obscuring her face from him. Her heart raced with senseless hope. She didn't know what she was expecting, and she doubted she'd find much satisfaction in the upcoming reunion, but still she foolishly hoped...

Pain stood with his arms crossed on the tallest skyscraper in New York, wearing his brothers super suit with out the mask..."She's still following me..." Pain muttered under his breath once he heard her call is name...He stood still, completely unmoved by her words..."What could she want..." He muttered in frustration...

Raine stood silently, waiting for a response from Pain. When he didn't even turn around she frowned slightly. She started at a brisk pace toward him.
"Pain?" Raine said in a confused voice as she approached, and tapped him lightly on the shoulder. She tilted her head, looking concerned.
"Do you know who it is?"

"The deserter...What made you decide to come back...Or are you just here to play with some more heads..." Pain grunted as he spat on the ground to his left (Not in your direction.)

Pain's remark stabbed at Raine, and hurt quite a bit.
"I had to go Pain.... My planet was at war....." Raine replied, but she knew they were excuses, even if they were true...
"I came back because the Jizeran won, and the planet is at peace. And also because I missed Earth. And I felt guilty too..... And well...." Raine trailed a bit before finishing, "And well, I missed you Pain...." She finished choking a bit on the words.

"Yeah..well you missed a lot of things..." Pain turned away from her..."Ten years...ten years passed by...and I-..." Pain cut himself off and growled at her..."What do you want from me...?"

"My work home is done, and, I'm staying on Earth for good....." She said, in an attempt to change the subject. Raine didn't know herself what she was truly searching for. She just wanted to see Pain again. While she expected some changes, Raine never could have expected something this drastic. He was a broken man now, or so it seemed.
"I don't know what I'm searching for.... I was hoping I'd find it in seeing you again. But I just feel more empty......" Her eyes fell and great melancholy overtook her, which she promptly shook off, and regained a serious composure.

"Good...Now you know how I've felt for all these years..." Pain cracked his neck by snapping it to the right, and then to the left..."Any other dreams you need to have crushed...Or are you done wasting my time..."

After that remark, Raine ceased acting so pitiful.
"Are you going to deny my request to re-join GUN? Or will you crush that for me as well?"

"GUN..." Pain chuckled..."I haven't done much with them in years." I just couldn't do it with out you bro...(Emmett) "But if you're serious...GUN doesn't recruit to much anymore. So gettin in might be hard...You'd have to ask Ein or Tenshi bout that..."

Raine's eyes widened.
"But Pain! You loved GUN!" She replied, ignoring all his other comments.

"No...I hated that fuckin thing..." Pain sighed..."Entropus didn't though..."

"But you always seemed so proud of your mission with GUN....." Raine replied, and bowed her head in recognition of Entropus's name.

"Not anymore...That part of me is dead...Who am I kidding..I might as well be dead.." Pain put Entropus's mask on...He stood in his uniform before Raine...He has been and always will be...a better man than me...

"Do you remember what I told you the last time you said something like that?"
