The Rumor of A God In the Waters.... [ Yam ]

"Word gets around quick this day and age." I said, still lazily lying on my rock. Thats right MY rock, go find your own! I smiled at her and shrugged. People and their rumors don't particularly bother me. But this lady was pretty unique in her own way. Look at those weird eyes! I mean im here in scaly underware but she has me beat with those things. She had been hiding not to long ago, but I just figured she was one of those 'oooh look at the 'God' kids.' Who would walk away. The last person to even bother with me was Salone, so this was interesting for me.
"Woah slow down sugar-rush. I don't even know you, who why would I just throw out who ajd what I 'Yam' to you?" I said with a snicker. She probably woukd get that Yam was once a great name. Now its the name of a damn
sweet potato and I have to go by stupid Jake. She was apparently interested in me, so I had to at least string her along. Right now I was at rest, so long I am at rest I can do much more with my powers, but so long as I am in a stressed situation it was a different story. Maybe it was fate limiting me?
"Just call me Jake. Yes I am a God. Yes Jake was a name I chose while attempting to hide amongst mortals. As far as am I just another one of you guys.... have you ever seen one of you people do this?" I asked. I looked out to the sea, my domain. "Sem tem pel" I said as a whisper. I leaned back and waited. Waited. Waited a little bit more. Then suddenly over the radio there were breaking news announcements that three malestroms had formed around the world. If thet persisted they could have the power to alter the course of tectonic plates and change oceanic currents which could result in cataclysm. "Ex tai" I said. Seconds later the announcer meantioned that large dragons made of pure water sprouted from the centers of the malestroms and began singing a son I heard seconds ago. Apparently it was "All The Single Ladies" from what the announcer said. "Sem tai Yol" I concluded. Then moments later the announcer was almost dead of shock when thay said that Iit was like nothing happened. I opened a single eye to this lady and giggled like a little kid.
"So you know Baal Hadad?" I asked casually, unphased by any of the events that transpire.

"Well the word 'God' means a lot more then we give credit for methinks. I am an ageless being, with complete dominion over the oceans. I am not human, Even to my people I was revered as a God. My power of Ocean is absolute. Uh... I was alive before earth was even a rumor. Still alive now. Probably will still be alive when Earth's gone. " I said with my usual dopish smile. She was really pretty, but that was just an obervation. "Well yeah, not my most impressive work. But im a bit...limited here. I used to be a ton stronger, but.... long story." I added to show I didn't really want to talk about it.
"Not hiding. Just relaxing. You mortals all are in such a rush. Well I don't know about you specifically. But generally all mortals rush through life...only to die and realise they never truly lived. Then again...what is time to one who is timeless? If you were a thousand years old, that's a blink of my eye... not literally.... staring contests would be epic! Anyway.... how can I help ya Miss Saileyra? " I asked her with a smile.

"Well Miss Saileyra... as you can tell I'm a bit of a talker.... happens when you've been asleep for the past million or so years.... So I'll keep this part brief. I only need to know ONE thing...Just tell me the ONE thing...no more no less..... from this ill know everything." I said with a smile. I took in a deep breath and let out a relaxed sigh. "What's the name.... only tell me the name... I can tell all I need from that." I told her. I wasn't joking. Just the name would be enough to tell me. This wasn't a joke and I was sure thst my voice was clear on that.

"OCEAN?" I mused. After a moment of silence I rationalized it out loud. "The OCEAN is powerful, chaotic and eternal. In its storms it sinks ships, turns the tides of wars as it did with the Spanish armada, and even takes lives of innocent sailors occasionally. Many curse the roaring oceans for taking a loved one, but those who know the ocean know that water is the universal purifier. Your group reflects this...Fate would not allow you to approach me..Yam...God of Primordial Chaos and Oceans and propose this to me had it been anything short or dishonorable to my dominion. I will join this new OCEAN. I will purify the world with its waters, destroy the enemy's of justice with its storms, and while I will always try to keep the innocent sailors from harm. I accept this may not always be possible, but it is a goal I shall strive for."
