An introduction

As Xyron entered the lounge, he quickly scanned the area. He could feel that his old friend Shamgarel was nearby, and he was eager to talk to him once more.

Shamgarel too felt the presence of his old friend. Xyron had been one of his closest friends when they both were directly doing God's will.

Xyron spotted him and quickly walked over. "Greetings Shamgarel. It has been quite awhile since last we spoke."

(We both speak in proper old english, this should be fun.)

"It has been quite sometime my dear friend, I haven't seen you since we both left Heaven. I just wish your departure had been on better terms."

"Yes, as do I. However, you seem to be coping with mortality quite well. Have you tried this wonderful thing called 'Peanut Butter' yet? It is quite delicious."

(WTF?)

"I have not given much attention to the sustenance of mortals, I've been quite busy since my arrival. I have found two other angels though my friend, they've chosen strange mortal names but they are quite handy in a skirmish."

(I thought it would interesting to note the fact that they have never tried mortal food, even though they have seen and heard of it.)

Xyron sighed. "Yes, I too have been fairly busy here. It seems death and destruction plague the Earth almost as much now as they did back in the days of Noah. Who else had decended? With all my work on Earth, I had not realized there were more of us here. Your departure was celebrated, however. You are as a hero in heaven for your willingness to forgo your immortality."

"It is not for the praise I do this, I was tasked with an important duty and did what I was told. Surely, given the opportunity to protect people you would have graciously accepted. But on the matter of the other descended, I've not been able to descern their immortal forms and they give me a full mortal name when when I ask them their true names. Whoever they are, they seem to be fairly powerful in order to mask their true forms for this long."

"Hmm, I suppose that any of us might have accepted the offer, but you were the one who did. Courage alone does not a hero make, but also the circumstances that allow the individual the opportunity to rise above. This seperates you from the rest of us. Just because we might have accepted does not lessen the fact that you DID accept." Xyron shifted his weight as he thought on the conundrum of the other Angels. "Perhaps they simply do not know who they truly are. There is a chance that He has sent them here to Earth without them retaining the knowlege of their previous existance. Such an event is certainly not without prior instance, rare as those instances may be."

"I suppose you are correct, but you always were wiser than me old friend."

Xyron smiled, but shook his head. "Hah, wiser. Yet I am the one that left, disgraced and unwelcome. A cruel twist of fate that was. But enough of these half-baked meanderings and pointless musings. Perhaps if I am to have any hope of fitting in here, you should introduce me to some of your brothers-in-arms?"

"I shall my friend."

Shamgarel led Xyron to the office of Stephen, knocked, and entered. "Stephen, this is my good friend Xyron. He wishes to join GUN."

Stephen teleported to Shamgarel's side..."I've already heard....Xyron was it?" Stephen extended his hand to the newcomer...

Xyron took the hand of the man before him. "Correct, Stephen. I am told you are currently in charge of this organization?"

"Actually Pain has returned, so ownership is his once more...But that doesn't mean I can't recruit..." He broke off the handshake and put his hand back at his side. (Cause it be weird not to stop)
