Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

The Not Immortal
School was the last thing on her mind. Salone ducked underneath a tree branch, dodging around a few wolf whistling jocks. College Freshman. They were occasionally dunderheads. The girl herself had managed to get a year at the school herself before her health impeded once again in her life, causing her to drop out for a year before coming back. A few people called out and waved but she avoided them, not wanting to get too social incase her health got bad again and they decided to come calling. It had been disastrous enough the last time, Salone had managed to pass herself off as a rather large dog. Luckily that wasn't hard to believe because of Sasha.
The Dog was a king sheppard, looked like a German sheppard except twice as heavy and several times as fluffy. This only made her seem larger. Salone sighed, peering back down at her schedule. Anatomy and physiology. Ew.
She wrinkled her nose, oh well. It was kinda mandatory if one wanted to be a nurse. A bad was slung over her shoulder, holding a novel she was reading, notebook, pen, and her camera was missing in the bag. The Cannon camera was around her neck and the girl was looking around for something to take pictures off. Once every few steps she would stop and take a picture of something she thought was interesting. It didn't matter if it was people, animals, or statues. She took a picture of it. Her blonde hair falling in her face and obscuring her pale skin and brown eyes. It was slightly breezy but it was windy enough her blonde hair whipped in every direction. Salone cursed it silently as she pushed it away again, she should have pulled it back.
Seizing upon inspiration she climbed up a tree, shimmied forward on her stomach, before putting the camera to her eye.
She let out a breath of appreciation before taking a picture. Perfect. Then she began the process of climbing out of the tree.

Re: The Not Immortal
From the depths of the Ocean, in the bottom most region I waited. The Abyssal Trench, my home, my kingdom, my prison. For so long I've waited here, and now I've finally mustered some of my weakened powers to leave it. I roared, I could feel the heat and vibrations from the hard spikes that stuck from my shell. I felt the electricity in my body surging, and I could see the pulsation of my roar. I was awake, and I was alive. Baal Hadad had failed...and soon he would pay.
I broke free from the containment the pathetic humans had attempted to keep me in, and the last thing I did was gracefully spin, sending a lightning infused tail into the strage metal-fish and drove it into the bottom of the trench. I took no pleasure in the demise of the humans that the metal-fish protected, but for all I knew they were agents of Baal Hadad. The thought of that trecherous ilk make my hair stand on end, and my scales illuminate with my inner quientessence. The rage that I felt bleed into the oceans like black corruption permiating into pure clear waters. I know this is wrong, to feel as I do. But it wasn't my fault, my heart achs, even after the past 3,500,000 years I spent in hibernation, my heart still bleeds form the open wounds. I can't remember her name, I can't recall her face, but I can still feel the pain.
This was a hell that I would not wish upon any, Baal Hadad the exception to this rule. To have something so perfect to learn a name you'd never forget because your dreams remind you, to see a face and to never want to look away, to hear a voice that was sheer music to the soul, to feel the flesh of one against your own that sends a spark into your core and makes you feel alive!...and then....to lose it all. In a betrayal that shattered your morality to its core. My rage is uncontainable, the pain is sole subjected, yet there's nothing I can do. To be traped, a prisoner in my own domain while my betrayer live upon the Mount Seppam and reaps that which others has sewn. No, I will not stand by idly any longer, it is time to return to the mortal's. I'm through hiding, and to prove as such, I willl show Baal Hadad just how much of a grudge mine heart can hold!
At a roar the ocean around me began to circle, like that of a whirlpool. I touched the floor of the Abyssal trench and my quientessence shot out of me, sapping me of all the electrical eneries I had stored in my rage. The water electrified, and I watched as the scaly and slimy inhabitants of my domain try and swim away in futility. They were all swept away into the vortex and electrified into dust! With another roar the vortext shot up into the surface, creating a maelstrom that fed from my emotions. Lightning shot into the skies and it began to rain, I swam towards the surface, waiting to find sunlight again, waiting to release the chilled waters and feel the warmth of the sun. My scales cut through the waters and I sped up as the pressure became less and less. Finally I shot our of the Maelstrom with a loud roar, declairing my return to all the nations of man and to the filth that sat on the throne of Seppam. I have returned. With another roar I shot out to a nearby ship, a massive one with metalic birds resting upon it's back. It was covered in humans, and so I decided that I would desplay my awesome power. With a twist, the Maelstrom obeyd my command and drew in the large metalic turtle, devouring it like a starved jackle on the remains of my meal. With the metallic birds and turtle destoryed, I took off towards land, oh so many miles away. But I knew there wasn't a chance that they would simply accept me. No this world had probably changed in more ways than I can think of. We shall see if I can master the ways of the human. I fgelt a seering pain, a snapping, and violent pulling in my abdomen. I could feel each individual vertibrae snapping and shattering under the strain I was placing on my body. I felt scales sear off me as if I were on fire, and the bones liquify as if they were only water, and when I could see the shores of land I was human. The waves violently threw me onto the sands where I dropped onto my back, laying there in a daze. Many people probably assumed that I had been beached, or had just washed up. I would just lay there with my eyes closed and shalllow breathing however, secretly dreading the fact I had left my domain. For I had never been in a human form before...and I had never set foot on land.

Re: The Not Immortal
Salone sighed, examining her schedule again, luckily classes were not for several hours or so. The poor girl could already tell she wasn't going to enjoy this. Then an uproar started at the edge of the beach, Salone ran down to see what was going on. One of the ships in the harbor had vanished... not just any ship, an aircraft carrier. The water where it had been was stained with oil and red... blood... Salone covered her mouth in horror, the silver ring on her middle finger winking in the sun. She started down the beach, away from the docks to get a better look. Nothing. No sign of any survivors or any parts of the ship. As she moved Salone lowered her fingers. Boats were already setting out to clean up the oil spill and to look for survivors.
What had happened?
The sirens rang over the water and Salone shielded her eyes. Then she froze, her eyes landing on a figure laying on the beach. His breathing was shallow and quick, dark hair plastered to his face. Her nursing skills kicked in and she hurried down the beach. Dropping her camera and bag out of the oceans' reach, she dropped to her knees beside him.
"Hey, you okay?"
Salone waited for a response, pushing her hair behind her ear. She would give him a few minutes... seeing as he was breathing just fine. The young man didn't seem to be hurt physically so that must have been a good sign.

Re: The Not Immortal
“Hey, you okay?” A voice called out. I assumed it was to me, but then again I assumed Baal Hadad was my friend, and look how well THAT served me. The voice was full of anxiety, and it was feminine if I remembered the pitches of human speech correctly. I began to open my eyes, but the glare form the great gold orb in the sky triggered my instincts and my eyes shut again I growled a little, or as close as a human could get to growling and motioned for my ‘acquaintance’ to sep aside. My stomach spazzed, my lungs convulsed violently, and peristalsis was completely reversed. I turned my moth into the shape of an circle, and began to shoot up a steady stream of salty ocean water about a good two feet high. I just let it continue on until all the salt water was removed from my body, about three minutes later. The next action was a gasp for air, one of the many ‘essentials’ I would need in this form. I rolled onto my side and coughed. I decided it was about time to look upon the face of this new little mortal who had presented itself. I was right, it was a woman, I think. It has long blonde hair, though it’s hard to tell, and her eyes are a brownish auburn. She was a petit little thing, then again coming from a mile long sea dragon that weighs more than most architecture that means absolutely nothing. I smiled and shook my head, which if I remember was the customary response that the humans used when they were unsure of what was being spoken to them.
“Ego teneo haud information quis vos es sentential. (I have no concept/knowledge of what you are speaking.)” I said in my native tongue. The language of Dragons was Latin, the first speech that was given to humans, by me and my brethren. Hopefully this one would remember the roots of her people and be able to speak with me in mine own tongue. Then again, fate was not exactly my ally. I looked back over my shoulder and saw two human legs, the upper regions covered by a scaly piece of clothing, and no tail. Wait- WHERE THE HELL IS MY TAIL!? I began slapping and driving my knuckles into my tail bone and trying to pull out my tail. I looked up to the woman, and then back, poking my ‘legs’ as fast as I could. My skin was so soft, it was like that silky sleek kind. It was like having flesh without scales. Well, it IS having flesh without scales, but I don’t like it. I’m so squishy, and vulnerable. I propped myself up on my boney, human, elbows and looked up at the woman, biting my lower lip and with my one eye closed to avoid the sun. I started peering around her as best I could, seeing large rectangular metal boxes that were almost as tall as I in my dragon form, and many, many humans entered and exited from a class box in the front of it. There was also a loud ‘Schwerooooooooh’ as a large metallic falcon flew overhead. I attempted to grab the woman and pull her down so that the falcon would not see her. I could feel my lower jaw trembling a bit, not in fear, but in anticipation. I then looked back to the human hamlet as I noticed several metallic creatures that functioned on four circular legs that ran by at alarming speeds across a black surface. What is the story behind that I wonder... Not the time however. The Humans seem to be doing well for themselves, that is to say they aren’t extinct yet. But then again, that could change in a heart beat. They had no large ‘ballista’ stations, or an Anti Dragon barrier. This place would have made a perfect dragon breeding ground back in the day. I looked back to the girl apologetically.
“Magnus ferrumdomus. Haud telum conicio? Haud anti extraho telum ulleus genus. (Large metal homes. No arrow throwers? No Anti Dragon weaponry of any kind?) I mused to myself. This new world of theirs was something new, and so foreign. I was the oldest, strongest thing here at one point in time. I would still be, if Baal Hadad hadn’t- NO. I did everything to shove the thought from my mind. I would not lose my temper again, it costs lives last time. I looked back to the woman.
“Merus Carus, si vos agnosco mihi, qua est proximus extraho tractus? (Dear woman, if you can understand me, can you please tell me the nearest Dragon territory?)” I asked her again, finally expecting an answer, if not a weird look. Before she could however, I turned around and began poking my fleshy legs again. I need to learn how to use these things on land…

Re: The Not Immortal
Salone slid backwards a few inches, then the young man rolled onto his side, back to her and he started to vomit up sea water. Salone rested her hand on his back and moved it in a slow circular motion. Then he rolled over and looked up at her face, seeming to take in every detail. His eyes flicking over her face, her hair, nose, mouth, and eyes.
He seemed to be coming out of some sort of shock.
Then he began to speak... in latin... Salone's mouth dropped open. What the heck?
It was just her luck she managed to get tangled up in a mess like this... Latin... of all things. She chewed on her lip, trying to compose an answer. But abruptly a plane flew overhead and the man grabbed her and tried to pull her down, as if hiding... She pulled away gently from him. Almost instantly he began poking at his legs almost as if he had never seen them before. She stifled a brief giggle, yep definitely a foreigner.
In broken latin she began to respond, "Non ex ea commodo consequat es hic agis? (You're not from around here are you)?"
Then he began to speak again, seemingly going off on his own tangent. Speaking of dragons and arrow throwers.
Her eyebrows shot up into her hairline, Dragons? She had battled demons, witches, and angels but Dragons? Then he went back to poking his legs.
"Draco fines? O, nescio quid dicis non faciunt. Vestra facturus dilanians. (Dragon territories? I have no idea what you mean- Hey, don't do that. Your going to cause bruising.)" She grabbed his wrist gently, pulling it away. " Age, si quis inveniet dimittit exstat de hoc pulmentum. (Come on, lets go find someone who can sort out this mess.)"

Re: The Not Immortal
This woman spoke in broken tongue, and in a different version of the tongue. It's like a dragon talking to a snake or a crocodile. You can understand the premise, but there is some complication I fear. She wishes to find someone who can sort out this mess, and while I’m sure she does not mean me any harm I can't help but feel a bit of trepidation when attempting to follow her. I attempted to follow her, but apparently crawling wouldn’t serve me very well. I tried crawling, but other’s who had now looked down at the beach were looking at me with deep concern. How dare they judge me, I was swimming through the primordial muck their maker uplifted them from, therefore it is a safe assumption that they are spawns of my greatness. Oh boy, where did THAT rant come from? I looked up to the woman a little bit embarrassed and averted my gaze and I mumbled under my breath. (ooc: I am assuming that while it’s cute and all, we can just state now that the majority of the conversations here will be in the Latin language, I don’t really have the time nor inclination to keep going with the Latin translations if you want to for the ExP be my guest, but please just know that when Yam appears to be speaking English, it’s Latin. I will let you know when he’s fluent in English. )
“I don’t know how to use my legs.” I grumbled, irritated to admit my weakness to the mortal I was speaking with. She had grabbed my hand to stop me from ‘bruising’ my legs, and I found it almost sickening that I could actually BE bruised in this form. The other Old God’s must be laughing at me now. I, the great ‘God King’ Yam, so inhibited that he can’t even walk amongst the mortals he protected. Let them laugh I say, it’s probably funny to these mortals even, to see one of their own practically crippled due to his ignorance. I would use my powers to call a small pool of water to help move me while on land, but I guess that’s not exactly being subtle now is it? On top of that I’m also drained of pretty much all my power. It turns out that condensing yourself into such a frail and fragile form is actually draining, almost debilitating.
I’m at the mercy of these creatures for now, and it’s not like I’m in the position to make demands.
“So... who are we going to see, and how am I going to get there? I asked her, still despising myself for my inability to act as a human.

Re: The Not Immortal
Salone turned around and saw him crawling, then it clicked in her head. She sighed and moved over, crouching down she stated one question, "You're not human are you?"
She wasn't stupid, in fact, she was the opposite of it. Freakishly intelligent. She had fought plenty of mythical creatures to recognise one in disguise. She slid one of his arms over her shoulders and stood, helping him up.
"Let's take this slow," She said, putting one arm around his slim waist. She had a few hours to get him situated before she had to go to class. She paused to grab her camera and bag, swinging it over her shoulder.

Re: The Not Immortal
I cringed at the prospect that this woman knew that I wasn't a human, but what else did I expect? I suppose I just wanted to be hidden, and if a human like her could figure out that I don't belong here, the old gods would have NO problems. She went to grab my wrists and I fought off my instincts. Please don't do anything fast, I really don't want to eat you in this form.
She managed to get an arm around her and helped me up and I began walking. It's not as if I weren't physically able to walk, I had just never been taught. Gravity on the surface is so much more annoying. In the water, the whole reason I could grow to the size I had been in was that Gravity had less effect, or so I rationalized. Now the only thing I could relate this too was the feeling that my legs were asleep and i shot up to try and swim. Even in water, your legs don't work well when they're asleep.
I allowed her to assit me in walking to wherever she was taking me, still to weak to take any form of charge. I was beginning to get the idea of this 'walking' thing. It was leaning forward, and falling only to catch yourself with the opposite foot. It was becoming quite easier. I looked at her and nodded, trying to show her that I was independant enough to walk finally. Of course I fell on my face, quite comically right into the sidewalk, and my nose started bleeding. I kept sniffeling the blood back and grined nervously as I cleared my throat. Now there wa sonly one question left.
"Where are we going?"

Re: The Not Immortal
Salone sighed at the man's reaction to her correct guess.
"Don't worry. I won't tell. Its my job to recognize things that are not human. Any other person wouldn't know."
She supported most of his weight, for such a tiny thing she was quite strong. It was slow going from here to the car, then he made a motion of wanting to try and walk by himself. Salone was hesitant but she let him take a few steps before he fantastically face planted on the sidewalk. She dashed forward and helped him back up, offering him a small smile in return to the bloodied one he had flashed her.
"Well, that was exciting." She exhaled a breath, helping him over to the car. It was a small silver car. She opened the passenger side door and helped him sit down, opening the jockey box and handing him a fist full of napkins.
"Well I was going to take you to go see Penny. In case you were hurt severely, but after watching you I have decided you must not be human and this is your first time impersonating a human..."
One could tell Salone had been doing this job for a while from the way she laid everything out. "So, I'm not sure what i'm going to do with you. You could either be friend or foe by this point."
She studied him with intelligent brown eyes, "So, what should I do with you? First off, you must have a name."

Re: The Not Immortal
I could be either friend or foe. The same could be said for her, but that was not the problem at hand. She was so organized that it almost distracted me. It occured to me that I would also need a name. But that's also not a huge issue. My logic behind that is if I can't speak their native tongue then having a name is useless, right?
"Well a name isn't exactly on my list of concerns. You see, I can't even blend in with you people. I don't walk, I don't talk like these people, and I do NOT have any idea where I'm at. I know nothing of customs, and I'm not exactly sure what having a name will do if I don't speak your language." I explained to her. The blood in my nose stopped rather quickly, and I forced myself to stand on my own two feet. I was a royal mess in all honesty. I was also IN a mess, as teeling thsi woman my real name may turn her hostile. I don't know if Baal Hadad is still the seated ruler, or what kinds of slander he's thrown at me while I was in hibernation.
[color=royalblue]"Also, I'd like to ask you about the strange stuff you're wearing. Plus the thing you're carring. Also, what's the deal with all the metal boxes that move really fast? Do you know anyone who can teach me how to talk like you? I also need to ask about the Dragons again, I seriously need to get back to my people. If you can take me to a dragon then I can get home from there. Also, where am I at right now, maybe if the cities have similar names I can find my own way back..." I said. I suddenly realized that I bombarded the poor little mortal with questions. She was obviously smart, however I never gave her the chance to respond. I also never answewred HER questions.
"I am sorry and ask your pardon. It's all so strange. Yes this is my first time impersonating a mortal, and please don't patronize me, I was layoin gon the beach crawling around and poking my legs for feeling. I don't recall human's doing that frequantly. I am not a foe, but if I am a friend is yet to be seen. That depends on the answers to my questions." I said to her honestly. I smiled to let her know I was not attempting to be rude while telling her not to patronize me, but I also know for a fact that anyoen could have seen I was an out of place human.
[color=royalblue]"What centuary is this? What is the dominant creature of the world? Does the name Baal Hadad mean anything to you? What language do you speak? Who is Penny, and will she be able to help me understad this world better?" I asekd, each one slowly so she could understand me clearly. "If you can answer those honestly then I will tell you ANYTHING you want to know about me, save for my name. I want to make ure I give you an accurate translation when I know your language better." I awaited an answer with a big goofy grin.

Re: The Not Immortal
Salone arched an eyebrow as she listened to this creature rant, it was slightly amusing but that was because Salone had some pretty twisted humor. She pressed her dark pink lips into a line as she waited for him to finish.
"You done?" She asked, a hint of laughter in her voice. She shouldn't have been laughing but she was. "Ok, lets start with the simplest of your questions. This is a camera, it takes pictures."
She turned the flash off of her camera, took a picture of the man, and then showed it to him. "That is what you look like. As far as the names go, I can't call you 'guy with the face' because then everyone responds. Penny is my friend, she is a doctor, she keeps people from getting sick and she is currently working on a vaccine to save people like me. This is the 21st century. As for the cars, they help us get around quickly. No that name means nothing to me. As far as dragons go, I haven't even met one... but I know they existed at one point. They might be in hibernation for all I know. You are currently in Los Angeles California in the united states of america-Wait." She held up a finger, brain working quickly.
"When you say dragon, are you telling me that is what you are? A dragon?" Her voice had quitted but shot up several octaves in excitement. "That is freaking amazing. I'm Salone by the way. Sit back down, you look like your about to fall back over. Those napkins are for cleaning blood off your face too, in case your were interested."
The woman sat down herself, on the dark green grass. Examining the young man with interest. Her blonde hair fell into her face but she paid it no mind, she was going to cut the dratted stuff off soon anyway.

Re: The Not Immortal
She neglected the most important question. Not a good sign, but perhaps I needed to be more direct. "Do you know Baal Hadad?" I asked. I made sure she knew I was dead serious.
"Answer that...then I will answer everything."

Re: The Not Immortal
"Baal Hadad?" Salone rolled the name around on her tounge. The name felt strange in her mouth, she shook her head.
"No. I can't say I ever had. Haven't even heard of that name before. "
She arched her eyebrow again in her signature facial expression. Obviously this guy had a grudge with this Baal guy. She pitied the poor guy who would pick a fight with a dragon.

Re: The Not Immortal
I smiled, well if she didn't know Baal Hadad I had no reason to destroy her. So I will make good on my promise, and question but my name is fair game. Although I think it would be interesting to meet her friend penny, it would seem that this penny was an expert on healing the sick. Witch doctors and shamens always interested Me, Not really sure why. So if I can remember correctly hee first question was me not being from around here.
"No I'm not from around here, no I am not a dragon, I am an ARCH-DRAGON. I'm not very pompj s like many of the other royalty are, but There is a difference. For example, imagine walking up to a queen and addressing them as slave. It's rather offensive. Not to worry though. I'm the last of the Arch. It is a pleasure to meet you Salone. You have been kind to me and you do not serve Baal Hadad, and so I will answer whatever you ask." I said to her wiping the blood away with the 'napkins' she provided.

Re: The Not Immortal
Salone arched her eyebrow again, A blue blood eh?
The guy certainly smiled a bunch, showing perfect white smile. She wouldn't put it past him for being royalty of some sort... but that didn't matter seeing as he didn't have any money, looking from the state of him.
"I do have to call you something," She stated stubbornly. Salone was particularly stubborn when it came to names. Any question, she could ask him any question she wanted. So she stated the most complicated question known to mankind.
"Why?"
Why implied just about anything, why now, why me, why dragons, why people, why is the sky blue why everything basically.
Her dark amber brown eyes remained fixed on him, unwavering from his face. There was a slim white scar on her cheekbone that didn't stand out to much. It was almost silvery colored.
