Inquisitor Bogdan Azarov (Done!)

Fighting for what he believes is right is the motto that drives him onward. The Inquisitor is a man of fate after all. Also, as a believer, he thinks of sins as a bad thing and wants them to be eradicated while, at the same time, he also believes that the world cannot be purged, meaning there will always be sins and thus, always have heretics wandering the lands. Being raised in an Orthodox sectarian group, Azarov shares both some of the Orthodox faith, which is a system of beliefs that was set at the Second Council of Nicea which approved the veneration of icons, in the eighth century of the Christian Era, and also some elements exclusive to the Inkvizitsiya, Azarov's order even though he displays less obedience to the Orthodox faith as of now.

Bogdan Azarov is a man that is rather cautious in what he does. He won't chase someone who he believes is too strong for his might alone but that doesn't make him a fine tactician. His tactics are the following : Sees the sinner, goes for the sinner, make him confess and spare his life if possible. Althought some variants can be found, his motus operandi is about the same. He is also lacking any kind of sense of humor, except when he is drinking. People should note that he only drinks genuine Russian vodka. This man knows neither love or fear and death will come eventually. Until then, he will need to cleanse the world from sins.

But in the end, he is a good man that think that life is precious and shouldn't be wasted in useless deaths. He is loyal to whom he'll an oath to.

It all began with the birth of Bogdan Borislavinovitch Azarov in 2001 in a remote Siberian village. Russia, at the time, had started to recover from the huge setback created by the dissolution of the USSR years ago both many people still wished the Motherland would go back to the glorious era of the Soviets where everybody had a roof, a job and food on the table everyday, and not the competitive jungle mess of the capitalist economy. The prsidency of Vladimir Putin, while a tad autoritarian, helped the economy get healthier. But crisis was always on Russia's doorstep as separatist movements from the Caucasus appeared from time to time. Even with the re-election of Putin in the 2010s helped Russia even more even if capitalism continued to expend into Russian economy.

But there was many little groups, dubbed sects by the government, who were active in the Russian underworld. One of them in particular rose to dominance on par with the Russian Mafia, or Mafiya, during the times when the Soviet state began to fall apart. It was the Inkvizitsiya, or Inquisition. These people were particular because there were religious people, but there were also hitmen and assassins, working for the greater good of the faith. Other criminal groups didn't knew how to deal with them since they were targeting everybody, from civilians and gang members to high ranked people in the country. They also conducted international missions. Not to mention their peculiar way of having new members. They took children, even babies born from people within the group, and were trained and educated within the walls of the Inkvizitsiya. The most promising children would eventually become Inquisitors.

Bogdan was one of them. He was the most promising of them all because he displayed features such as great strength and endurance. He was trained as an Inquisitor and initiated to the Orthodox faith when he was eight. But the most remarkable thing about the boy was the biomechanical devices built for him on his arms and that, eventually, replaced his flesh arms. They replaced his real arms as a matter of overtraining that damaged the tissues and muscles of his arms. The new arms were consisting of the flesh, the black plates, and the organic matter under it which was upgraded with nanotechnological devices, allowing him to continue to train and get stronger but not getting any buffs from that hi-tech component.

That being said, Bogdan was training since the age of eight to be the most powerful Inquisitor of the order. The Grand Inquisitor, his mentor, eventually granted him the title of Inquisitor when he was 18. He had grown up to be a fine man, and faith was his ally in his work. Unlike the other members, he never accepted to kill people that didn't needed to. His master respected that decision and continued to teach the ways of the order to his protégé. But on one night, people attacked the order when Bodgan was away. The raiders were a coalition of thugs and criminals who had united to destroy the Inquisition. At his return, all Azarov found was destruction and death. He found his mentor, agonizing, and no words had to be said. The final sacraments were given and the Inquisitor decided to rid the world of those crimelords with help because alone.... would lead to his death.
