Name: Spiked Cobra
Appearance: A normal venomous cobra, with the added spines of a porcupine along the length of its body.
History: When given his first two usable DNA samples, Splicer began to fiddle with the DNA of both the porcupine and the cobra. Though given a non-venomous variety of cobra, he was able to reawaken a dormant evolutionary line of DNA, recreating the venom in a more potent form. Using the porcupine quills, he improved the snakes defenses, allowing it to still slither quickly along the ground, while providing the ability to protect itself with the quills.
Power(s):
Enhanced Cobra Poison – Splicer began to tinker with the dormant evolutionary line of cobra poisons. He was able to recreate a type of poison that is far more lethal than it need be to the average person, should they get it in their blood. As this is a new type of poison, no antivenom exists.
Poison Quills – Splicer combined the different DNA samples of the cobra and the porcupine to create a unique hybrid. The quills can now be used as small containers of the cobra’s poison. These quills fill with poison at the will of the snake, and release the poison once the quill has pricked something.
Shoot Quills – By optimizing the hybrid snake’s muscle structure, an improvement could be made to the snake’s strength and movement speed, but more useful was the ability to build pressure and launch the quills from the snake’s body. This ability can be used to create a small short-range projectile from the snake’s body.
Enhanced Reflexes – The spiked cobra has extremely good reflexes, above those of even the quickest snakes found in nature. This is due to some optimization done by Splicer to the snake’s original genetic code, where focus was taken away from other areas of the brain (memory, mating habits, nest building, etc) in favor of creating a superior killer.

Name: Blood Husky
Appearance: Typical husky coloration, with bright red eyes instead of the usual blue. Bodies are built with less fur and more lithe, insectoid bodies.
History: Splicer is a heartless, cruel man. Upon finding a stray husky infested with fleas shortly after his escape from the facility, he quickly absorbed all DNA strands, leaving the husky and the fleas both dead. And Splicer created this unholy bond between the two.
Power(s):
Blood Drinker – The blood husky drinks blood like a flea does. However, because the blood husky is so large, it needs a great deal more. Splicer fused the flea’s natural drive to drink blood (in order to allow it to reproduce) with the husky’s wolf-like traits, specifically, the prey instinct. The blood husky, when near a warm-blooded creature, will be able to smell it and track it, and can feed off of blood.
Eggs – The blood husky reproduces by laying eggs, like a flea. The eggs must be fed fresh blood shortly after hatching, however, or they will die. The blood husky is asexual, and can lay more eggs once it has fed on blood. Blood huskies can sustain themselves on meat, but blood is needed to fuel their genetically altered abilities. A typical “litter” size ranges from 10-15 eggs.
Jump – Fleas are extremely good jumpers. If there were a human-sized flea, it could leap over a skyscraper with ease. While that doesn’t quite translate as perfectly as one might hope, this fusion of dog and flea allows the blood husky to jump to incredible heights.
Swarm – Fleas operate alone, and drink blood alone. But combined with a dog, they gain a pack mentality. The blood husky has a pack mentality that means that any present blood huskies will be able to sense the others in the area (unique smell, etc) and be able to find each other. Eventually, with enough blood huskies running around, the “pack” begins to look more like a “swarm”.
Storage – Blood Huskies can store blood for later. This blood can be used for a variety of things, including feeding themselves, feeding just-hatched eggs, or retaining fresh DNA samples for Splicer.

Name: Splicer Larva
Appearance: An oversized larva. Species similar to ant larva, but otherwise indistinct. Creature can fit in the palm of one’s hand.
History: Splicer needed a subject to test with. So he created something genetically moldable. A larva, oversized, and able to morph into most anything… including new strands created on the fly.
Power(s):
Morph – The larva can mutate into any other creature that Splicer has created. This is due to the ingenious genetic bending that has occurred, erasing almost all latent genetic code in the larva beyond the natural need to mature.
Cocoon – The larva spins a cocoon around itself. This cocoon is extremely resilient and while in the cocoon, the larva can transform in safety. This cocoon also fills with a unique fluid that speeds the maturation process, allowing the larva to emerge as a fully grown specimen. Cocoon size varies depending on the creature that is meant to emerge.
