Having another problem

I'd like to appeal against the way elena vexas role plays his character. All this stuff about just trapping us willy nilly, and her powers having no drawback whatsoever, I mean jesus in the fox plaza she just made some huge hundreds of feet high dome after being involved in a fight where she used her stronger lightening technique a fair few times. She's also needed to heal but this also has no effect it seems. I'm having trouble having fun with this thread because I feel in a way that the player is being arrogant, believing that my group doesn't matter and he can treat us however he wants because my legion group is looked down on. In the last post we're barely given a choice on the matter of anything, I mean for christs sake, she kept the building up (which must have used a lot of energey) made a huge dome out of black fire or whatever (again lots of energy) and made 4 humungous monsters all in 1 turn. That seems pretty out of line to me since they're all major actions that should take a fair amount of time to complete surely? Or do weaknesses not exist on this board?

Whatever people think of the legion we're not idiots and it's not fair to be treated this way and leave people thinking it's okay, he nearly got away with god modding a couple of posts ago and I nearly got blamed for god modding when I didn't god mod at all. Which says a lot about how we're being viewed by the rest of the board and the staff. When really at the end of the day I came here, made a new faction by myself and tried my best to keep new members interested in this site and succeeded. When i ropleplay I like to make sure everything is as open ended as possible cause I have respect for the game and the players and want everyone to be having as much fun as possible in the thread. It doesn't feel like I or my team are receiving that same respect.

Thats my two cents, sorry if I rambled a bit. I am a little annoyed. I hope this doesn't count as flaming but I had to express how I feel about this whole thing.

It's not the first time Vexus has taken on an entire group before, Womb. She had a similar topic where she fought the entire Talon group. I wouldn't take it as a personal attack on you, new characters or your group.

Imagine now if Dominus had their entire group against your character. You may not have even the slightest chance of succeeding, but you still want to make the topic interesting. You want to provide a challenge. Just remember, anyone can win against anyone, given the right circumstance. I always say that a 12 year old kid with no metapowers could kill any my characters, under the right circumstance. Vexus should be given a fair chance to fight your group, and if Vexus has enough preparation, why not accept the challenge?

Not everyone will Roleplay fairly, and it should be taken to the individual, not made a public post if you have an issue. I try to let as much slide as I can when Roleplaying with others that have a difficult time controlling their attacks and powers. Doing several moves within one Post, as if your character was standing there drooling the entire time, incapable of actions. I agree that can get annoying. But in the end, if you didn't enjoy your experience with that persons character, then you have the option of not joining their topic next time. And perhaps, in time, all of our skills will improve to the point that you will want to be in a topic with Vexus again.

If you want and you have the wealth hire more people, make it fun. I have fought her before and I have gotten about 1 or 2 hits on her but because she has those abilities she is really strong. But yes given the right circumstances like Sul said you could kill anyone. Say like if you hit Sul into the Ocean and keep him there he cant swim. So soon to be he will run out of oxygen; problem solved. But given that Sul has a chance to hit bottom he will probably do a super jump to get himself out of the water. Just remember its not all about your characters abilities its how you us them and its how you post. Vexus is just really good in this field.

Okay first off how a person plays their character's personality is how they've decided to. If someone decides to make an arrogant character and you take offense to said arrogance then that is your own problem. You are confusing that with actuality. Just because somebody claims you don't have a chance IC doesn't mean it's actually true. Again, they're just playing their character. The RPer decides what characters they want to play. Vexus has informed and consulted us admins about his planned actions and if they would work before actually posting them.

As for your godmodding argument, I personally distinctly remember you completely ignoring what the staff were trying to explain to you on how things had worked that way. Just because you didn't listen to what we had said doesn't mean we said nothing or something completely different. We don't play favorites, nor do we seek to downplay anybody.

Okay, so no one thinks that completely power playing a character and performing too many actions in one post is unfair? It's not bout killing her, I don't want to kill her I just want the RP to be fair and interesting. I know she's more powerful than me, that's why I'm now her captive but doing everything she's done after letting myself be captured and severely damaged (out of respect as mentioned above) yet I'm not receiving that same respect from the player in return. I'm sorry but Im not the type to sit back and let this kind of thing happen cause it's just not cool man. I don't do it to others and I expect the same treatment. If nothing is going to come from this then fine, I'll continue the RP but I'm not roleplaying with elena again. This is ridiculous, it becomes less of a game and just a dictation. Another thing by the way just so it's clear is that her actual actions are not what my problem is, its the sheer amount of them all in one go like that. Holding an entire crumbling building together would take ages, surely, to weave into every crack and crevice as well as be sustained for a long period of time to keep the structure up. That alone should take one post. Or am I trying to make a point of this to people whom would pull this kind of stunt all the time? In which case my complaint is pretty invalid isn't it?

Also, as for the god modding thing, I remember that it was ignored that I hadn't god modded until chelle read the post properly. I also remember saying that I understood everything that was being addressed to me, but that i understood the rules of god modding and that ripping off someones arm and shooting them through the stomach without any kind of opening to retaliate and assuming the whole thing went to plan is actually god modding in the truest sense of the word. I'd get stopped for god modding if I assumed I punched someone in the face and broke their jaw right? Even if the blow is unavoidable for the victim, I can't write that I hit them, that's the rule. That's how it's always been since I started RPing when I was 10. I don't see why it should be any different now

If you want me to look at something for possible god-modding, pm me (or another staff member) the link to the thread where it supposedly took place. This should only happen after you've talked to Vexus and attempted to work it out between players though. If you feel someone is godmodding and can't come to an agreement, then a mod can look over it and make a call but there's no need to make a complaint thread calling somebody out.
