Rating
Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Chaotic horizons [Closed]
Things had been getting somewhat hectic within the city of Chicago, and it wasn't only the now occasional anti meta human sentiment running rampant among the people. A mysterious force was slowly moving upon the city and spearheading it was something that the people were unaware of but Sean knew that whatever it was, only he could really deal with it. What first tipped him off was the strange armored being was found destroying a nondescript storage facility, namely one that was owned by the Hale family. Aaron had sent him to deal with it, and the being was dead before it knew what had hit it. The armor was tough, but his blade sliced through it like it were made of wet paper, and there was just blood everywhere.
When he had returned the body to the Hale mansion, Aaron informed him that it was a homunculus; an artificial human. This meant that a powerful mage was sending them to ransack the Hale warehouse but for what he was not sure about. They were known for their powerful enchanted weapons but who would be stupid enough to attack something owned by one of the most powerful magical families in the world? This was what his blonde partner set out to learn and that left Sean to sit bored at home until he were sent as a deadly enforcer upon the culprit. It wasn't like he didn't like the whole grunt work or anything, but Sean felt like that was all that he was really expected to do these days.
After around a week of tracking, they managed to find out a name behind who had sent these things. It was a mysterious group called Shade and Sean found himself acting before he could even be warned of the dangers. An approximate position was placed and he was there in a flash, using his superhuman speed to make his way from the Hale main house towards the outskirts of Chicago. Even his underdeveloped senses could detect a large amount of magical energy coming off from that direction and it seemed to call to him. It literally felt like it was calling his name and Sean couldn't even refuse the summons.
People looked in awe at the diminutive meta human easily breezing past them, though he was likely only a blur that they would forget in a matter of minutes. A voice came across his mental frequencies, it was Aaron using his little mental communication spell. ”Where do you think you're going?” The voice asked with a certain amount of judgment within it, as if Sean really cared what Aaron thought at the moment.”You're rushing into a situation with no idea what might be behind it. You could get yourself killed Sean Michael Collin.” Now he was getting annoyed by Sean insistence on ignoring him but that was just how he was.
”This magical power, I can feel it more intensely the closer I get and it feels is familiar. This may have been something to stave off the boredom before but now its something different.” Sean said before cutting off the connection and increasing his speed even more. The landscape seemed to blur past him until at last he stopped and the cities large buildings seemed like mountains almost against the small buildings on the outer areas. He found himself at what looked like an abandoned warehouse with the rusty door barely hanging on its hinges. Yet Sean could feel a dark presence emanating from deep within it. Sean felt for the katana strapped to his back, making sure he was not weaponless before he took a tentative step forward.
Whatever waited for him beyond the threshold was something dangerous.

Re: Chaotic horizons [Closed]
Life had been very simple these days for Sonny. Ever since he was 'resurrected' all he did was wander around the greatest country in the world and fight bad guys. This was his sort of warm up for bigger things to come. He could feel that things were stirring up. The government was forcing all the superpowered people to register their personal information with then. It was silly if you asked Sonny. He didn't really mind though as it didn't pertain to him at the moment and it didn't seem to be putting anybody in danger. There really had been some crazy circumstances involving metahumans even when he was still on this earth. It only made sense that they could keep track of them to make sure they knew how to react to certain situations or prevent them altogether. But then again, their personal lives were definitely at risk.
Sonny yawned as he strolled down the street, bag of money on his back. This was all that remained of his ventures of chasing down criminals and confiscating their profits. It wasn't that big, only the size of a regular backpack. But it was filled full with money. This was the main reason he could do his wandering around the country as he did. He could eat when he wanted and he could replace clothes when he wanted. Life was actually pleasant at the moment, even if it was a bit empty. Sonny decided to sit down at a small cafe to have some lunch. Grilled ham and cheese was always a good choice. He ordered and waited for his food to arrive, which only took about 5 minutes. Sonny sent a vivid smile to the waitress as she laid down his food, who returned in kind. Just as he was about to start eating, he saw another teen making his way through the street at super speed. He was even faster than Sonny. Wonder what that is all about? He's probably after that magical source. Anybody with adequate magical knowledge would be able to sense it. Sonny looked down at Ragnarok, who was in the form of a necklace, and gave him an exasperated look.
It was no use standing around here. Sonny reached into his pocket and grabbed a $50 bill. He left it on the table and looked for the waitress again to give her a wink. She just smiled back again as she did before. Sonny picked up the sandwich off the plate and took a bite while standing up to go follow that boy. Once he made it to the street he took off at full speed, following Ragnarok's directions. He couldn't feel this magical source that Ragnarok was talking about. Sonny was an impressive sight to see going down that street, albeit not as impressive as the boy before him. He finally made his way to the building the boy was standing in front of. That was definitely not pleasing to the eyes. There can be no doubt about it. That's where it's coming from. Before coming into view, Sonny summoned Retribution from within his body. The armor quickly surrounded him, keeping the bag pressed up against him to minimize how unwieldy it was. His black neck wrap fluttered behind him in the wind. He was ready for action.

Re: Chaotic horizons [Closed]
Sean stood there for a few moments as if thinking something over, mind running over what exactly was beyond the threshold. He could feel that power, an energy signature that was so familiar yet he couldn't quite place what was creating it. Something within him identified with it and that feeling almost dragged him forward. Still he stood rooted in this spot staring into the maw of the building that was only covered by its weak door. With a well placed kick, Sean could have sent the doors falling. Then there was a stranger source of power right behind him, something malevolent that sent a tremor of apprehension through his body. In an instant Sean turned, his eyes falling upon a strangely armored male, his height only a few inches better than Sean's. ”I'm not sure what you're hoping to find but I don't really need any help here.” Sean stated plainly taking a few steps forward.
Sean may have not appeared that threatening. Considering that he was only wearing a black graphic tee and khaki colored shorts, but that wasn't really the case in this situation. There was also his being extremely short but anyone with eyes could see that.
Sean wouldn't stop the guy from following him into the place but it wasn't like he wanted him there in the first place, Sean knew that he had enough power for whatever lay ahead of him. Taking a few steps forward, Sean unsheathed the blade and in a flash he let the transparent blue blade slide through the weak door. The door made no sound as it was sheared through, pieces falling to the ground with noisy clunks that resounded from the walls within the compound. Stepping through the entrance now made, Sean could smell the rust that clung to the walls like a bad odor.
This building had not been in use for years, though if things got ugly he wasn't even sure it would be here when he left. With a strange sound, the blade was returned to its sheath and he walked into an unknown compound with no idea what he was doing.
