Phase 1: Sound, Light and Mass (Kaguya, Songbird, Endzoner)

A blue head stood out among the natural colors of the street when the famed Adam Paxton gave his live speech. The broadcast was being shown on a large screen in front of central L.A., now in it's middle.

The bluenette in the sea of individuals was quite frankly, shocked. They were... they were going to eradicated metahumans! It doesn't matter how he sweetened the words, they were going to get rid of people like him. They were going to get rid of... him. The bluenette, six feet tall, in a grey trenchcoat and clinging onto one of the edges with white knuckles, was Mikona Tsuki, a metahuman who controls moonlight that he radiates, better known as Kaguya.

His dim lighted scarlet eyes, laced with the poison of worry and utter despair, looked frantically at his right and left, head following only slightly. Azure eyebrows raised up, and his mouth, though shut, stuttered significantly. The Rabbit took an involuntary step back, blinking thrice at the screen fearfully. Many sets of eyes stared at him, some questioning, most angry at the fact that his type were the ones that caused the destruction of the great and powerful New York City, and that his type caused so much destruction. The metas didn't know where their attacks hit, and they can't control their explosions! 'It's not their fault,' Mikona reasoned in the middle. 'But they don't know that, and we can't control it.' An aura outlining his body flickered on and off rapidly in a neon light blue, now making gasps by the people whose attention was divided now to him. Over this entire process, his mind was on overdrive now thinking to itself.

'No.... no, no, no! There wont be any running anymore! Dominion would hunt me down and then hunt me more if I kept running! It's an endless cycle of cat and mouse until they win if I run! What to do, what to do... Fight? That's the only option, but with what allies? If there's Dominion against metahumans, then there must be a rebellion of metahumans! We aren't primitive, we aren't stupid enough to not think of it... Though, where?'

As he thought these, a group of newly radical men now approached him cracking their knuckles. He shook his friend frantically, taking 3 steps back before one of them pounced at him. His moonlight, on automatic activated,now outlined him as he jumped backwards, flying away from the large TV screen. One question remained...

Who are his friends?

Grayson stood in front of the television before him. It during Adam Paxton's speech that shocks both him and his sisters. Grayson and his family were at a hotel in L.A. to spend some time away from New York City. Ever since the New York Assault, his parents decided it's best to move away from Ney York City to let it get back on its feet after its destruction.

All three of them couldn't believed what they were hearing from the man. He wants every metahuman on the planet to reveal themselves and give out their names to the public? Does he not know why they even hide their faces and identity in the first? To protect the ones they love! It is obvious that a majority of the metahuman population have made enemies the moment they decided how they use their powers. And here he is. Telling every one of them to reveal themselves to the public, and to their enemies.

"Hmpf, finally they decided to do something about it.", his father said. This cause Grayson and his sisters to stare at him. "What? I'm just saying that it's best for them to register themselves and work for the government, than to acting above the law.", his father explained. "And besides, Adam Paxton made a good point about them too.", he added.

"Dad.", Grayson said to get his father's attention. "There's a reason they do what they do.", Grayson said to his father.

"And what reason is that my boy?", his father asked curiously.

"To protect the ones they love.", Grayson said as he looked down. "The moment they decided how they use their powers was the moment they made enemies. They hide their identity so they keep their family safe from the enemies they have made. To reveal their identities is like telling them to show who is the most precious to them to hurt.", Grayson said. He looked up to see that his entire family was looking at him. His sisters were giving him a look to stop talking but it was too late.

"Grayson...", his father said.

"Mom, dad, I have something to tell you.", Grayson said as he grew 5 feet tall, than shrunk 3 feet than normal and than he revert back to his normal height. "I'm a metahuman.", Grayson said.

His father and his step-mother stared at him. "Grayson... I...", Grayson cut his father when he tried to think of what to say to his son.

"I'm going to leave.", Grayson told his entire family. This earned him the surprised stares of his family. "It's not safe for me to stay with you anymore.", Grayson said sadly. "If I stay. They will eventually find me. And everything I do to protect you all would be for nothing. I'm sorry.", Grayson finished as he began packing his belongings and his costume in a dufflebag.

"Grayson, there has to be another way.", his father said.

"No there isn't. I can't hide from the government with you all.", Grayson said as he opened the door, "I just hope that mom might be proud with my decision.", he said as he grabbed his leather jacket and exit the room. He continue his way to the stairs and began walking to the first floor of the lobby. When he reached to the lobby, the first thing he noticed was how quiet is was outside and began making his way to the exit.

When he reached outside, he was aggravated by how ticked off he was that every single electronic outside was broadcasting Adam Paxton's speech. He knew that the speech would be broudcast on every channel, but the fact that almost every single people outside were even listening to the man was enough to drive him mad. Because of the man, it became dangerous for metahumans to even show themselves in public. He bets that the moment something bad happens, the public will try to blame it on metahumans. Grayson sighs and began making his way to a nearby Starbuck to get his mind off of things.

Mickey watched Adam Paxton's speech with a look of distaste inside his hotel room. He was back in L.A for another job, and Naomi was still in their apartment back in Georgia. His thoughts were along the line of: That guy must be a serious idiot if he thinks all metahumans are just going to roll over and do what he says, and other thingsl ike that. But he knew something was going big was going to happen. Slowly but surely, the general public was building up a hate for anybody who had powers, and he admitted he hadn't exactly helped diffuse that hate . This was just a trigger for all that hate. LIfe was going to change for everybody, meta and human alike, whether or not they liked it. Some might just go ahead and register and get it over with, but others wouldn't allow themselves to be suppressed like this. He contemplated on his next action.

He could easily pass for a regular person as long as he hid his irises and powers. Nobody would be the wiser if he got a job and laid low until this all blew over. It usually did, either someone like the Talons or another group would go in and save the day. But he'd turn himself in if he was just going to let them step all over him! But he did have another reason for his concern. Ever since Naomi had moved in with him, he slowly started to build up an affection for the homicidal girl. What would happen to her, and the both of them for that matter, if he was ever caught?

"I must be going soft," he mumbled under his breath. Open rebellion would have to wait for later though, for now he'd have to pack up his possessions and start moving. Soon meta-humans would start being hunted down, and he was sure the staff at the hotel had their suspicions. The time he had come back with blood on the front of his costume late at night probably didn't help. Mickey wasn't exactly the most careful person in the world. Twenty minutes later, his stuff packed into one single suitcase, he considered whether or not to put in his colored contacts. After three minutes of debating he decided he was too lazy to do that, and it would be a sign of weakness on his part to try and hide. But those few moments of silence may very well have saved his life, for he heard two voices behind his door. He pressed his ear up to the wood to hear them better.

"Come on, you gotta believe me! This guy's a meta for sure!" said a deep voice with a New York accent.

"I don't know. What if it turns out he's just a normal person? Then you would've killed an innocent!" responded the other voice, this time feminine and soft.

"Don't you worry your pretty little head, Fiona. I swear I saw him coming in the lobby wearing some wacko costume with what definitely was blood on his chest. If he's normal, then I'm God. As a 'normal' person, it's our job to get rid of freaks. Heck, I bet we'll even get rewarded from that Paxton guy!"

"You were drunk that night Oscar."

"I wasn't that drunk!" the sound of a cartridge being loaded into a gun was all the warning Mickey needed. Silently(after locking his door) he crept to the window overlooking the fire escape and pushed it open. First he dropped his bag off through it, and tried to fit through the rather small window. It took a lot of effort on his part, but he made it, and by the time the pair opened his door, he was already two blocks away. Mickey kept on running for two more blocks till he though he had lost them. As he caught his breath in an alley, he wondered what he should do now. His mind wandered back to Naomi, and he hoped she was still safe. Hopefully she would have the sense to lay low. For a moment he though he was safe, until he heard the sound of a rifle being cocked.

"No sudden movements, or you'll get some hot metal in your head!" slowly Mickey turned to see a middle-aged man with a beer belly and thick beard holding a gun (now aimed at his head) with a brunette standing meekly behind him. He was slightly amused to see them think a bullet would be all it took to kill him. He had run away before to avoid a ruckus, but now it seemed inevitable. "Go ahead, shoot me. But only if you think you can kill me on the first try. If not, you'll be dead before you know it. Your choice." he smiled wickedly at the pair. "What will it be?"

167 MPH in the air, high altitude. Keep lo- Oh my god was that a gunshot at him! Abort! Abort!

Lowering altitude, you-should-know-by-now landed on a roof of an apartment quite clumsily for someone of his experience, catching his previously hyperventilating breath. Kaguya was laid on the floor, holding his heart while his feet were spread out, his back slumped on a railing. My GOD that was too close! He checked himself eyes, ears, brains, heart... alright, he's safe.

In hindsight, he didn't know why he was scared of a gun. He had 8 durability, damn it, guns don't matter. ...Unless it's a superpowered gun or something along those lines. Meh, the sound is scary.

Still, Kaguya was scared. Scared for his DEATH scared. Scared for your life is all fine and good, but scared for your death? Like, how you're gonna die? You know you're pretty screwed. 'Calm down,' He thought. 'I'm going to find some metahumans, and I'm going to get though this with them. Right? Right.' Hopefully, he didn't have to talk to his Kaguya consciousness that he made up after a particularly bad case of loneliness. God knows how insane SHE got.

He laid down and tried to hear anything out, wondering if it was safe to go down. Footsteps. Talking. A rifle being cocked back? Was there... a mugging? He looked down from his perch at the top of the housing building. Apparently not a mugging, seeing the armed man's size. Looks like a normal person... he saw the also normal woman next to him... And his wife. Aimed straight at a man who looked WAY too smug for him to actually be in this situation.

However, before he could think, his very basic experience and conscience jumped in. The moonlight didn't help either. Guy! Pointed weapon! At another man! Go go go!

Jumping from the tip of the ledge, Kaguya freefell, aimed at the armed mans body. To be honest, his fighting experience was only 2, so the moonlight fixed his posture and placing at lightning speed before he could properly land. Before he could be heard too much, a beam from his light blasted, hitting the gun dead through the center and rendering in ineffective. 0.67 seconds later, the bluenette himself had pounced the man from the top of the building hand applied to the bigger males chest to push him to the ground,with Luna's Wings breaking his fall from doing too much. The same couldn't be said of the bearded assaulter, who had been knocked unconscious. Before the woman or almost-attacked man could also do anything, he had made a wall of light around both front and back entrances of the alley, impeding any movement.

Mikona's overall face? The portrayal of his thoughts. 'Oh shit I just made things worse.'

Bringing himself up from the dirty ground of the alley he dusted himself off lightly and put his body in a position where both parties could see him. He bowed deeply, then rose up to speak. "G-Gomen, S-Sorry if I made things worse, I-I saw a g-gun! I'm not hostile to either humans or metahumans!"

Best excuse ever.

He was frantic to apologize, now, bowing in a rush to both others. His face was a bit sweat, with his eyes and eyebrows completely apologetic, and his mouth a squiggle a of a line. His voice was quite embarrassed when he introduced himself. "I'm Kaguya, and in this time and age, I'm not saying anything else! And you are?"

Grayson was walking out of a Starbuck cafe with his coffee in hand when he noticed a crowd of bystanders gathering around an alley. Which appears to be blocked by wall of light which seems to be blocking it. If this keeps up, the alley will attract the attention of Dominus in no time. He needs to get out of the area fast before they get here. However, he couldn't let whoever causing the wall of light to be caught by Dominus. Every single metahuman on the planet are now in danger by Dominus, no matter who they are.

This is going to be quite a problem. Grayson quickly made his back to the Starbuck cafe and went in to the restroom. He quickly change into his costume, but he met a new dilemma. How will he be able to get out without attracting to much attention. But than again. They might be too preoccupy with the wall of light. "Ah, screw it.", Grayson said to himself as he make a break for it. Hopefully he won't cause that much trouble.

When he finally got out of the cafe, he quickly made his way to the alley to talk to the metahuman or metahumans. As he was running towards the alley, he began growing to his maximum height of 30 feet in height which startled many bystanders and causing panic. 'Shit.', Grayson thoughted as he reached the wall. Apparently it's just a wall because he was able to see what's behind the wall.

"Hey! If your done with the light show, you should start running because you're going attract some unwanted attention!", Grayson called out to the blue haired individual. He wasn't afraid if Dominus arrives. He is well confident that he'll escape with his power.

In his head the plan was simple. Convince the guy to shoot, hopefully dodge the bullet though it probably wouldn't hurt him too much if it hit him, then knock the gun out of his hand with his suitcase, hopefully with some ass-kicking afterwards. Not his ass getting kicked, but the othere guys getting kicked. But someone else took care of it for him, not that he was complaining. Mickey watched amusingly as the blunette appeared out of seemingly nowhere and proceeded to break his 'assailants' gun with a beam of energy, then knock the man to the ground. He followed up by sealing off both ends of the alley with walls made of the same energy he used to destroy the gun. The boys seemingly natural movements did not match his way of speaking, though.

"Dude, you are way too nervous, no offense. And don't worry about it. What's your friends name? Oscar?" his wife, currently frozen with fear, nodded frantically. "Oscar over there was about to blow out my brains just because of my eyes." Mickey lifted up the visor of his cap to give them a better look at his bright green eyes. If he told them the real reason the man had suspected him, they would definitely ask where the blood came from, and telling somebody you killed people for money wasn't exactly the best way to introduce yourself.

"Apparently that was enough to label me as a metahuman, not that I'm saying I'm not. I'm Songbird, nice to meet you." He realized this could be his chance to gain an ally. They were more likely to survive if they stayed in groups. And then the entire situation got worse when a thirty foot giant in a costume loomed over the group, warning Kaguya to turn off his powers before someone showed up to make him. It was the he also noticed the crowd they were starting to draw. Not good.

"Damn metas, always causing trouble. Adam Paxton was right about you!" One of the crowd shouted. Alright, time for him to diffuse the situation.

"Alright people, show's over! You can go home now! But before you start complaining about all the trouble we metas cause, consider what happened here tonight. Oscar here decided to take that speech earlier, you all know what I'm talking about, as a cue to go a head and blow my brains out. If it wasn't for this guy, I'd be bleeding out on the ground. Next time, ask yourself, what would you do without us? Sure, some metas you could go without, but others you can't afford to lose. So chew on that for a while before you let someone else judge us for you!" his words seemed to have some impact, judging from the thoughtful expressions on half of the slowly dispersing crowd. The other half still wore their spiteful looks as they left.

"Hm, maybe I should be more grateful for that inspirational speaking class my foster mom signed me up for. Moving on! Hey Kaguya, you can go ahead and get rid of your walls now. Nobody's going to be hurting anybody no more for now. And y'know Mr. Giant, you aren't very inconspicuous either. he walked over to Oscars' wife, Fiona, and leaned in close so he could whisper in her ear without anybody else hearing. "Now, I'm going to let you go, but remember this. If you tell anybody else about what your husband, considering he's your husband, saw that night two days ago..." He made a slicing movement across his neck to finish his sentence. She nodded, eyes wide, and she fell to her knees in shock. When he turned back to the pair his face once again had a smile with no remnant of his darker nature. "Now then, I'd ask if you'd want to be friends, but we should probably go somewhere else first, right? Anybody have a place in mind, or do we just run?"

As the light had already stopped when the man told him to, the Rabbit rubbed the back of his head. He forgot light was showy in dark areas... how did he forget that again? Once the newly christened Songbird had stopped talking, he replied about the destination they should converse in. "Both. Not on ground, however. One second."

After the Japanese teen spoke, a light seemed to emanate off his body, the same moonlight he uses. Now, Kaguya's radius is about 45 ft, making the circumference about 90 ft, so he was able to give the other two metahumans an aura like his. Quickly, he rose higher into the air, pulling them with him sky high.

Now that THAT roller coaster ride was over, the bluenettes speed became slower as they flew smoothly in the air. Think as if you're talking to someone in space. "S-Sorry if the beginning turbulence is b-bad, it's what I'm used to. Also, feel free to move around, i-it's going to be like outer space. We should be heading to a nearby mountain with a base I-I built in case of situations like this. Very orient, you might like it. H-Humans and M-Metas... I knew it MIGHT happen, but I d-didn't know it would happen today."

Problem was, Mikona still didn't know what the big guys name was. Or, at least like the both of them, alias. "S-So, what's your name?" His voice, thought still a bit male, was quite feminine and high. A LOT of people thought he was a girl, actually, like one of those traps where if it looks and acts like a girl, it's really a guy. The Tsuki's vocal chords was how he got the female name, Kaguya, as his hero name. Still, it had a hint of boyishness.

Grayson simply stared at the man named Songbird. He was asking about staying at someone else's place that they barely even know during a time like this. I was about to reply to him that they should run, until the bluenette began emitting light from his body. He managed to overhear his introduction and learn that his name was Kaguya. The light was bright and it apears that it was beginning to cover all three of them.

However that was not really the problem until the bluenette started to fly which also appears that he is pulling the rest of them with him. To be fair, he didn't expect that te bluenettewas even capable of picking him up at his current height. And than came the problem, the moment they were off the ground was Hell for Grayson. It was as if Kaguya had taken them on a invisible roller coaster, which Grayson happens to hate.

He was glad that he doesn't get motion sickness, because he was certain he would've throw up half way when they finally stop ascending in the sky. At first he would've been unresponsive when he was freaking out about the fact that he was flying at a very dangerous height from the ground. But, he managed to pay attention to Kaguya when he started talking. He made sure that he heard most of what he had said. During the moment he was talking, Grayson was slowly began adjusting to the whole flying thing when Kaguya ask him for his name.

"Hmm?", Grayson responded, "Oh, you can call me EndZoner.", Grayson said. After a bit of time has passed, Grayson was now over with him flying when he finally remember something, "You have a base in a mountain?!", Grayson asked as he finally managed to think clearly. "And how the Hell are we flying?!", Grayson asked very lately. At this, he might have sound ridiculous at how slow he was when he had asked those two questions. But fortunately, he doesn't care about that at the moment.

Mickey jumped when he suddenly found that the ground was missing and he was now floating in the air. Who was this guy? Did he have telekinetic powers or what? He hoped Kaguya knew what he was doing, because he really didn't feel like becoming a bloody splat on the pavement if his powers cancelled in mid-air. Wait a minute, wasn't he being too trusting here? What if this guy was a metahuman hitman, and he was just a really good actor? Oh crap, then he could kill them just by letting them fall! Don't jump to accusations Mickey, lets see what he does first. Clutching his suitcase tightly in one hand, he watched warily as they were towed along by whatever force the feminine blunette was in control of.

"What exactly can you do with your powers, Kaguya, besides what we've already seen? And how the heck did you get the funds for a base in a mountain?" he asked as he tried to ignore how far the ground was below them. Truth be told he did have slight acrophobia due to the time he fell out of a tree when he was 11. He hadn't exactly been the smartest kid on the street when he was younger. "So, either of you have any plans on how you're going to survive all this? Planning on laying low?" after asking his questions he stayed silent for the rest of the trip until the mountain they were heading for came into view. He snickered at EndZoner's extremely laggy response.

"A little late, don't you think?" maybe he should lighten up on the sarcasm. His normal attitude wasn't exactly good for making friends, more for pissing people off. Kaguya he could get along with, EndZoner still a mystery.

[Sorry, went sledding. Also, school, yadda yadda, don't expect me to post till Friday.]

"Nice to meet you Endzoner, now, answering your questions!" Kaguya was used to rapid fire, so he could do this. Clearing his throat to gain attention, he explained a lot.

"One, my p-powers are entirely based off a b-blessing/curse a Japanese m-moon spirit gave me. I know it sounds weird, but we're metahumans, everything is weird. I-If you want to get scientific, l-let's just say a sentient ectoplasmic being has forced itself into my body. T-This allows me t-to radiate moonlight and control it in a certain radius. I can use this on myself to give me speed and flight, and the aura you have i-is also under my command."

"T-Two! I get around too much, s-so I have a small l-living base in all of the c-continents excluding the Arctics. M-Moonlight cuts and blasts, so t-that's the housing part, I think. I also have s-some money saved up from some... Erm... m-misadventures I had. S-Stumbling into a villains secret l-lair full of money does wonders for your account. That's how I got the furniture. Ts-Tsukiyomi help m-my soul if I have t-to have m-more than you guys..." That also explained his religion...

"Three, s-survival. I ,erm, may or may not look for a rebellion of metas... I-If there is one. I-If worse come for worse, I-I'll d-dig myself a hole and hide."

Though he may be a shy and cute little bugger, he's had 5-odd years of experience on the run. Realistically, the Rabbit should have many holes if he's going to live for long in this insane world. Intaking lots of oxygen, Mikona spoke once more, now sounding like a female airline guide.

"We're nearing our destination... Get y-your feet ready..."

Grayson stared at Songbird's statement. "Shut up.", was all Grayson had to say to the guy.

He proceeded to listen to all of Kaguya's explanation to their questions. It's amazing that moonlight had so many properties. The fact that Kaguya had made bases around the world, with one on each continent except the Artics was truly amazing. He wonders how powerful Kaguya's abilities are. To learn that Kaguya even has the time to make those bases had Grayson interested. He must of alot of time to do that. He had no idea how big are the bases but must have taken years to make them. He wonders how he managed to have the time make them around the world with his own life. Wait, nevermind, he doesn't want to know. Something tells him it's going to be sad when Kaguya explains it if he ask.

"Survival?", Grayson asked curiously. "Your telling us that you make bases around the world incase something like this would ever happen?", Grayson asked. To think that he had made all of those bases just to make sure he has a higher chance to survive is ridiculous. Talk about paranoia, but than again. The world can be a dangerous place. Like right now, when the government basically issue a global wide man-hunt for every metahuman on the planet. "I... guess it's reasonable to make those bases with that specific purpose.", Grayson said.

Grayson began thinking about the size of the base when Kaguya told them that they were arriving at the base. Wait, why does it matter? He'll just revert back to his original size. With that thought in mind, Grayson reverted back to his normal size. He had totally forgotten to do that when he was panicking. He really needs to calm down when things get to crazy a bit faster. But anyway, he prepares himself to land as soon as they arrive at Kaguya's base.

Mickey crossed his arms and pouted. "Fiiine, mom." EndZoner seriously needed to lighten up. One snarky comment and somebody already disliked him. Course, that was only going to make Mickey all the more tempted to annoy, heckle, and pester him whenever possible. He almost felt bad for Kaguya, who no doubt would get caught in the crossfire. Almost. He listened intently to the bluenettes explanation. A Japanese moon spirit? Meh, he shouldn't be surprised what with everything else that went on around the world. What kind of life had Kaguya led before the being had bonded with him?

"I'm willing to bet that some kind of organized rebellion will pop up. People won't just let themselves be opressed. But how did you build so many bases without some countries government finding out? I'm pretty sure they wouldn't just go, 'oh, you're stuffing a base inside a mountain? Go ahead, we won't mind.'" By the sound of it, it seemed Kaguya had been unable to lead anything resembling a normal life after the event that gave him his powers. He managed to work up a little pity. Even Mickey could stay undercover easily, as could many other meta humans. "Why do you move around so much? Someone chasing you, or do you just like to travel?"

"Oh yeah, I'm supposed to stop talking." he shut his mouth and prepared for their landing.

"Th-They're normally inside a mountain away from c-civilization, making people think it's just a tunnel complex. Oh... We're here." He landed the three of them on a cliff in the middle of a mountain. Working on what looks like a mirror on the inside of an indentation on his left, the blue youth kept talking to answer questions while working, his face in a overdone focus, tongue out, eyebows furled, all that.

"Alright, this'll take a minute, I'm r-rusty... Erm... I got touched by spirit K-Kaguya 5 years ago, and for their sake, I k-kept away from home as much as I could. I've been in multiple areas since then, flying around the world. It's hard... being lonely..." He sighed but perked up when his light finally connected inside. The mechanics were that the moonlight bounced off reflections till it hit a certain light-powered generator. A big hole dug itself out in front of the trio, leading to the US division of Kaguya's HQs. Looking back at the others, he smiled and nodded. "Well, let's get in."

Down the rabbit hole they go, where does it lead? Only The Rabbit knows.

Grayson simply stared at Kaguya. His masked hid his expression well because he kinda felt sorry for the guy. He been away from home for five years. Kaguya seemed to be a bit older than Grayson so he left his home when he was around, 14-15 years old? Wow, talk about being mature at the time. That gave Kaguya some of his respect. However, he was about to take back that point when Kaguya expects them to jump down a hole that was apparently the entrance for Kaguya's base. "Wait, you expect us to jump down a giant hole? I'm sorry, but that just sit well with me. Especially when we just met about a few minutes ago. Which bring me to my other question. Where are we exactly? And don't say your base.", Grayson said. All three of them had just recently met and one of them had apparently have a base on every continent on the planet. That seemed too good to be true in a time like this.

"So please be the one that goes in first.", Grayson said, "The idea that we be right behind you when we get inside put me at ease a bit.", Grayson finished. Can't be too careful around here. He thought to himself.
