The Looks

'Atomic Jakk' Whitmore is a medium sized man with light, sand brown hair, and bright, expressive blue eyes. He usually keeps his hair short, to avoid any obstruction of his vision, which is crucial in his 'profession'. His trademark outfit is a heavily padded green bomb squad suit, outfitted with a voice modifier. The face-shield is tinted, preventing others from seeing his face.

The Legacy

Personality: On the outside, Deacon Whitmore seems no different than the next man, nor the man before. However, beneath his unassuming exterior lies the mind of a madman. However, he is far from being just another lunatic. He is a genius, far more intelligent then the brightest human. Moreover, he is confident in himself, and his choices. He looks down on those he considers below him, and considers none his superior. The only way he has found to keep the demons in his mind at bay is through destruction. To him, nothing in the world matched the euphoric, addictive feeling of being the agent of destruction.

History: Born and raised by a poor, single mother in a small apartment in NYC, he spent much of his young life at the mercy of those who took great pleasure in tormented the weak and defenseless. By the time he reached adolecence, he harbored a deep seated rage against his tormentors. Fortunately for them, their paths never crossed again. At 18 he joined the Army, pushing himself to 'be the best he could be', to make something of his life. He took a military offered course in explosives, learning how to build, operate, and disarm bombs and other types of explosives. Soon after joining becoming a member of a bomb squad stationed in the Middle East, he and his team where dispatched to a bomb threat in a small village located in hostel territory. Before even reaching the scene, their helicopters propeller was struck by an unidentified projectile, crashing. He awoke groggily a few hours later, a few yards from the burning Helicopter. After discovering that he was the only survivor, began to head south, attempting to find his way back to base through the burning desert. On his way back, he came across another crash site. Fearing it was the second half of his team, he shed his protective suit, rushing toward the crater, ready to assist anyone injured. However, the only thing he found was a small, U-shaped object, unlike anything he had ever seen. Curiosity perked, began sifting through the wreckage, trying to find out just what it was. At the center of the main body of the ship, he found what appeared to be a battery, or motherboard of some sort, transcribed with strange alien symbols. He reached, placing his hand upon the object, planning to remove it for research. As soon as he touched the device, he felt a searing pain behind his eyes, already blacked-out by the time he hit the ground. While he was unconscious, the object began to do what humans had been unable to do, unlocking the rest of his brain for use, Ten minutes later, he opened his eyes, blinded momentarily by the harsh light of the Sun. He darted up, only to find himself in an empty crater, no sign of a crash, mind whirling like a well oiled machine. After he was rescued, he soon realized that he could understand things better then ever before. His mind was sharper, quicker, and his memory seemed infinite. He gained a reputation as one of the best of his kind, saving many lives during his years in the service. However, his career came to an abrupt halt when a top secret investigation revealed him as the party responsible for the death of two fellow servicemen. Just before he could be court-martialled, he disappeared, selling his skills to the highest bidder in the international underworld. He can now be found working as a freelance bomber and bomb maker, working mostly in South America, Africa, and the Middle East, though he can occasionally before found elsewhere. However, he holds no allegiances, and is his own master.
