Personality:
Along with the obviously awkward name of Kirby, Kirby has been and outcast all of his life. He's been considered different by everyone for as long as he could remember. His family has really been all that he had. He usually comes off a defensive and is self conscious when he first meets a stranger, but opens up rather quickly when he gets to know them. He has the easiest time dealing with meta humans and mages, simply because they share that difference from everyone else. He is very reflective and quiet, he usually doesn't start conversations, but if he does, they usually start off awkward and in broken phrases, rarely a full sentence. He never likes fighting and if one looks at him close enough, can see a crease in his forehead as he fights. He is truly a kind and warmhearted person inside, he will never outright judge someone, even in jest. Some people think it is rather cute that he acts this way, but it's not an act, it's his personality. He is also very relatable, despite his shyness and he makes friends quickly, being thrown into the "silent, kind hearted" friend of any group. He is rather opposite of his soul, Pipkin, who is his constant companion and ally in battle.
History:
Kirby was born of a long line of half phantoms. When tracing back the lineage, every generation had at least one half phantom. This half phantom alternated from male to female half phantom. Kirby's mother was a half phantom and she was the only one of her generation to give birth to a child, so Kirby was the only one to continue the line of half phantoms. The origin of this power is unknown, as if hundreds of years ago, an unknown event happened to cause this abnormality to happen in the future generations. The reason was long forgotten through the passing of time. As far as Kirby knows, he and his mother are the only half phantoms in the world, the one before his mother, his great uncle Jack, died a few years ago. Kirby was often seen as the oddball when he went to school, his only friends were other meta human children and the "weirdos" in school. Even then, he never met many of his friends because of who he was, but rather his strangeness attracted them. He had a fear of women as he grew into his teens, constantly fearing that they would reject him. As he learned of his sexuality, him being gay and all, he grew out of that fear. He still fears being judged but does not really fear being rejected anymore. He went to UCLA as a criminal justice major and now serves as a investigator for the Los Angeles Police Department. With the help of his soul, Pipkin, he solves crimes rather easily and is revered as a great member of the team, sometimes to this day, he believes that it is the only place where people accept him and his soul, but that is a fact that can be changed.

Paranormal Knowledge, being of half phantom lineage, Kirby has learned many things in his life that he should not have, he knows much about the supernatural and paranormal worlds.
