Personality:

Isak is an easygoing guy who tries not to go into unnecessary trouble even though he will run into it eventually. He is the nerdy type, trying-to-fit-in-the-group boy, who cares about his few friends more than anything even if his family is still important to him. He is also somewhat cocky when it comes to prove that he's worth something more than an average everyman. Isak's a pleasant, rather intelligent, down-to-earth young man, who loves looking at girls, playing video games, reading books, eating italian dishes. He's also honest about what he thinks even if it's rude and is the kind of guy who will often say what's on his mind when it is not the time. He also shows unusual overconfidence at certain times.

EDIT : After a while, Isak got aware of the existance of the metahumans, having encountered some of them, and will learn more and more about those people.

History:

Born from a Canadian father and a Polish mother in Warsaw, Isak was raised in a mix of his parents' cultures in both Warsaw and Montreal. As a kid, Isak talked both English and Polish and later learned French at school. His childhood was rather lonely, since he could not create any bonds with Polish children because of the limited time he was on Polish grounds and was cast aside by Canadian children because of Isak's habit to often talk in his mother's language. Isak went to a Canadian elementary, then to high school, always in Montreal. There, he got his first group of friends. Smarter than the other teenagers, Isak was bullied by some of them. He wasn't really able to defend himself, especially when there were four guys on him. It wasn't until he was 16 that Isak fought back. Of course, punching back a guy two times his muscular mass isn't a good idea, and the result was very often a sucker punch that left the boy breathless. As time passed, Isak learned to fight on his own, enough to help him escape the scapegoat tag given by bullies. He later went to college in Montreal, earning his college diploma after four semesters along with some classmates he befriended over the years.

Aside from school, Isak had various hobbies and interests over the years. Reading and video games remained, while activities such as hockey, soccer and slam poetry didn't caught his interest long enough to become permanent. Music wasn't a big thing for him until he learned about some good foreign groups, foreign being other than North American and Polish. He took the habit of listening to his music on his walkman when he started pondering about something. One funny thing about him is that he tried piano with some success and enjoy playing classical pianists' songs.

Isak was also diagnosed with congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP), also known as congenital analgesia, as a young kid. This caused him to being impervious to pain, often putting him in dangerous situation, such as touching the stove a bit too long. This also causes him to fight as long as his legs can keep him standing, but the boy have enough judgment to know when to stop. More precisely, Isak shows an indifference to pain, meaning he will not flinch or retreat when facing pain stimuli.

Isak lost track of his few friends, who moved away or ended their friendship with him. He also never had a serious girlfriend, but mostly uninteresting relationships (both physical and long distance ones). Even so, Isak will remain loyal to anybody who will become friend with him even after the losses he had. Finally, with all those heroes and villains roaming around, Isak don't care that much about them since he didn't have any interactions of any kind with them.

EDIT: After encountering a few metahumans, Isak met a woman, named Elena Marie, that would teach him the art of light magic.

Powers: Magical

Basic Level

-Magelight : A small ball of light used to illuminate dark areas, useful spell when dealing with low light settings. The orb takes form on the palm of Isak's hand and usually hovers above him, casting light a considerable distance.

-Blink : Illusion spell that causes the light around him to contort to the point that he is rendered invisible, though the range of the invisibility is limited and if Isak moves too fast or unleashes another spell, the invisibility will end.

Low Level

-Barrier : A simple barrier of light that forms when Isak thinks of the word ''barrier'',creating a photokinetic wall of light that will block simple attacks. What cannot be blocked will break through the shield and damage Isak,though it will be reduced depending on how powerful the attack is.

-Fireball : Isak launches a small fireball at his opponent that is, at best, strong enough to harm a human being but not enough to actually kill anyone unless they were doused in gasoline. The fireballs are about the size of a basketball.

Medium Level

-Light Bolt : A bolt of light projected from Isak’s hand. The bolt has a minimum amount of power behind it but enough to harm the average person with the energy behind it. It can cause third degree burns and on fragile enough targets it can cause death. The attack can also cause a blinding effect if shot into the face.

-Heal : Isak is able to heal himself at a moderate level. Open fractures can't be treated at this level.

High Level

-Hellfire Bolt : Launches a powerful bolt of hellfire on the opponent.

-Light Bomb : Orb of light that will detonate and damage anything in a radius of three meters, caster included.

Ultimate NEEDS 10 IN MAGIC TO BE USED

-Blacklight Droplets : Over an area, as far as fifty meters of distance around a designated point, Isak creates small orbs of highly concentrated light magic similar to droplets of water. The droplets will stick to whatever they touch, exploding in a burst of black light at Isak's command word «Boom», causing a lot of damage.

-Archangel Form : This spell requires four posts of preparation, two of those requiring to sit still. Once completed, the incantations of this spell tranforms Isak into an ''archangel'' with blacklight wings and blacklight armor-like padding. This form allows Isak to fly, be protected against a gigantic amount of attacks and throwing powerful bolts of blacklight strong enough to blow up a tank, all that by converting his magical potential. The stats of this form are the following (numbers in parenthesis are the amount of points added to the stat):

Roleplay Sample:

It was cold outside. Even though it was the beginning of Fall, the weather was more likely a wintery one. Isak was walking home from the movie theather with his warm vest on his back, still laughing a bit from the movie he saw earlier. Isak was walking at a good pace, not wanting to miss the last subways rides available. He was aware of the cold temperature, but he didn't felt the bad part of it, that part being the cold bite caused by the wind on his face. It was just.... cold. Anyway, the boy was walking towards the nearby subway station, hoping there wouldn't be too much people going back in there to go home. He eventually arrived at the station's hub overground and quickly got inside. Isak unzipped his vest a bit, looked at his cellphone and sighted.

*Why am I the only one who gets a dead battery at times like this?*

Meanwhile, he was going downstairs to get to the orange line subway circuit. He arrived at the end of the stone stairs and Isak was suddently dragged to the wall. He tried to get away but the other guy's grip was strong..

-Donnes-moé ton cash mon esti. (Give me your cash fuckface.)

The man said it on a tone ranged between a low voice and a whisper, as if he didn't want to alert anybody even though no one was there. Isak replied quickly.

-J'en ai pas, dégage. (Don't have any, go away.)

The mugger searched his pockets nervously and found the phone. He tried to make it work, but since the battery was dead, which he didn't know about, he just said a loud ''bullshit!'' and ran away with it. Isak gave him the finger has he ran away since he couldn't do anything about it. The train arrived shortly after and the young man got on board. He had no more phone but this was, luckily for him, a piece of junk. He would buy a new one sooner or later anyway. Isak then realized something and laughed quietly.
