Costume Description/Image: Similar to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], (After a random 2 hour-long search through superhero costumes), with a few modifications: The Brown Trenchcoat, ravaged through years of living on the streets, yet somehow inexplicably well kept. The only piece of clothing, besides his shoes, that has minimal tearing and no patches. His t-shirt, while once was white is now a more dark color from dirt and other stains. While he tries to keep his gear washed regularly, with his current lifestyle acquiring the suitable washing ingredients becomes quite difficult. His t=shirt has multiple tears and rips and could possibly be ready to fall off. His pants, with holes in the knees, and multiple patches all over, it's hard to tell which part of his pants were once the original pair. Still, they do their job. "A man should always be proud of the shoes he wears." No statement was ever truer for Mimics boots. Standard issue Black army boots acquired during a raid on a military base, Mimic keeps his shoes spit-shined and sturdy. Not a single hole or patch on these babies, and steel-capped for that extra kick. Mimic also wears a pair of Ray-bans that he seems to have acquired who knows where, that never seem to leave his face, even indoors or at night. Mimic also has a pair of Brass-knuckles in his pockets and a small wristband on his left arm that has a few hidden qualities about them. (His wristband is a small gizmo which I will be writing up once the character is finished)

Personality: Friendly to his friends, a nightmare for his enemies. If you think Mimic is a bit gruff, then he is your friend. He may be a bit curt to people, but his rough exterior merely comes from years of anti-social and bad experiences with people. If he doesn't like you, he probably won't speak to you unless necessary. But that doesn't make him a bad guy. Through all his experiences, he's learned to fend for himself and not to trust others, which is why he isn't going to be the first to jump on the hero bandwagon, but he knows what the right thing to do usually is, and he will usually follow it to the best of his ability. To call him a renegade will involve getting a punch in the jaw, as he dislikes fighting solo, but if asked to join a group for the greater good, he usually doesn't jump in straight away and tends to require a bit of convincing first. He will also only do illegal things only when completely necessary, such as breaking into a supermarket just to feed himself for a night or two, leaving an I.O.U on the counter. One unique thing about his personality is his unusual friendliness to a little black cat by the name of "Lucky" Mimic treats this kitten like a member of family, and has conversations with her as if she were responding. Sometimes Mimics gruff exterior seems to vanish when he talks to her. It could be possible that she also contains some kind of power, but it is highly unlikely. When scavenging for food, Mimic makes sure she gets the first meal, even if it means he goes hungry.

History: It's hard to tell what kind of a history Mimic has. It's possible he had some very unique schooling, (which seems quite likely as he seems to be quite smart when he shows it, and could possibly even be some kind of a genius), or was born and raised on the streets. One thing is for sure though, Mimic woke up in the streets, bloodied and bruised, at the age of 16, almost ready to die, and with no memory of what happened, or even his own name. Luckily for him, he was found by a couple of passing thieves, and was helped to a nearby hospital, where he later ditched in the middle of the night not long after. He soon found an abandoned house, and rested there till his wounds healed. Over the years, he learned how to fend for himself, and even taught himself a few different styles of street fighting. He also managed to acquire a few books on various martial arts, and taught himself some basic moves. Being that he was a squatter, Mimic was constantly on the move, and he was able to learn parkour quite easily. At the same time, Mimic decided to make sure he was always fit, so that he would always be able to move or fight the way he needed. After 2 years on the streets, while searching for food one day, Mimic found some kids beating up on someone, with bats and all, so he ran up to help the victim, which made the kids bolt, and Mimic found that the victim was a dying old cat. It had been brutally beaten and had no hope of recovery. Mimic felt for the poor thing, but when he heard a tiny mewing coming from a nearby dumpster, he knew what he had to do. He grabbed and raised baby "Lucky" as if she was his daughter, and they lived the main streets together. It wasn't till about 3 years after that when Mimic was on a bank raid, when a silent alarm was tripped by accident, and in the police force was a teleporter, who would teleport in, grab one of the thieves and teleport out again, slowly reducing their numbers. Soon, it was just Mimic, and before he could be teleported away, he accidentally triggered his power and teleported the hero away before he could get to Mimic. As it was all he could do to get out of there safely, Mimic tried it on himself, and teleported home. Grabbing Lucky, he knew it was time to go, but over the years, he managed to practice his power till he had it down pat, and was able to use it at will. On his travels, Mimic also found he has a slight invisibility skill as well, and while not perfect, he manages to use it to help his thievery and escapes from Heroes or Villains.

Powers:

P1: Mimicry. Mimic has the ability to, as his title says, Mimic other powers from heroes. This ability is very limited, however, and while he can mimic every ability, his power only lets him mimic one ability at a time. Not only that, but just because he can mimic someones ability, does not make him able to master that ability right away, but due to his incredible intelligence, he can quickly work out how the powers work quicker than the average person, but no more than the original user can use the power, (e.g: if a pyrokinetic is EP 4, and Mimic uses his Mimicry, while Mimic is an EP 6, he would only be able to use up to EP 4 of that power). It's also possible that with more practice, (EP 7), Mimic could use his mimicry to recall older powers he learned, swap other peoples powers around, or cause the powers to cease indefinitely or cause a non-hero to gain an ability, (with players permissions of course). Also, for characters with more than one ability, the mimicked ability will be chosen at random.

P2: Invisibility. Some believe that Invisibility was the first power Mimic acquired, albeit subconsciously, and as such, it has imprinted itself on him. Others believe that Lucky may have the invisibility, due to her ability to disappear and appear quite easily. Whatever the reason, Mimic has somehow managed to acquire the ability to use the invisibility along with whatever power his mimicry copies. However, as he is still practicing it, the invisibility is more camouflaging into the nearby wall, or a quick 10-30 second burst of full invisibility, (enough to flee from a battle).

Everything checks out, except his power.

I can allow it, as long as you keep a posting limit when it comes to choosing his power.

His FS is a bit low in comparison to what he knows fighting style wise; so he won't have been a master, but will have his own personal style that's a mix of other styles- unless that's what you were explaining, then nevermind me.

Back to his ability to mimic. Only EP of 5 can create the power out of thin air, so he'll need a body of water if he copies someones ability to use water, or a lighter to use fire, and so on when using the ability at EP of 4; you get it? (:

2. Yeah, that's kind of what I meant. He had to learn on the streets, after all.
3. Yeah, that's also one of the limitations of his power.

Posting limit.. such as the transition between powers etc.

A moment of fleeting vulnerability where he is forced to use his invisibility/camo to his advantage. Also, as long as you keep the cool down, his invisibility can be flawless.

That's simple enough.
