Personality: Zenlike, nature-friendly; does not wish to kill, and uses death as a last resort against most foes. However, those who are supernatural, such as demons, do not apply... but he still is not comfortable with killing even then; Majorly dislikes evil; is very curious about the world in general and finds it hard to understand why not everyone gets along; can be rather childlike at times, and is honest to a fault and celebate; is very friendly and tries to help people when he can.

History: Very near the normal space-time marble of Earth lies a mystical dimension that was taken control of by an evil force. Most of the inhabitants were enslaved, but in a last-ditch effort, one inhabitant, the elven woman Selvyn, managed to escape by banishing herself to the Earth Realm, taking with her a powerful weapon that could be used against the ones who had molested her dimension. Upon arriving, she nearly drowned after she was deposited in the Hudson, but was rescued by Jack Carson, a local vegetarian and nature buff. He allowed her to live with him, and over the years, they became great friends, starting a nature-friendly costume making buisness in the small town of Spuyten Duyvil in the Bronx and eventually getting married. Not long after, they brought a new life into the world... a young boy-child who was named Savant, after a powerful cleric from the mythology of Selvyn's world. Over the years, Savant grew to be a handsome young man, doing very well in his classes and excelling in combat and archery. He always obeyed his parents, and told the truth... however, sometimes he was a bit too honest. Shortly after he got out of school, however, a day came where he came home to find his parents gone. The only evidence that he could find was a small golden key, which he soon found opened the long, thin box in the basket next to the couch. Inside it, he found a long curved sword and a note from his mother, hastily scrawled on a piece of paper. It explained everything. First, he looked different because he was from a different dimension. Second, the weapon in the case was the powerful sword Sorat, a weapon that could be used very effectively against the creatures that had desecrated the dimension from which his mother hailed. And third...

They had been kidnapped by this same force, which was most concentrated in the New York, New York area.

Taking action, Savant quickly created a costume based on a design of his mother's for an elf ranger, carefully set up the buisness so that it managed to run itself, and created some special blunt arrows that would harm but wouldn't kill. Then, costume on, swordbelt around him, and bow and quiver slung over his shoulder, he headed out into the world, ready to defend New York from any evil that came its way.

Powers: Due to his elvish background, Savant has the gift of eternal youth, which means that he has an indefinite lifespan and will stop aging at a certain point. He also has heightened intelligence, speed, strength, and aim, among a few other attributes.
