Personality: Dale Nulman is a kindhearted young man, though you wouldn't know it by talking to him. He is introverted, straightforward, distrusting, and often sarcastic. In his normal guise, he often apologizes for his sarcasm, but in his super hero alter-ego, he sees no reason to. In fact, if he is becoming popular due to being a superhero and saving lives, he will be intentionally rude, arrogant, and all-around annoying. He does this to distance himself from others, as he wants no part of this "fame" nonsense. He wishes to be a computer engineer, but fears he is not smart enough; he believes that his "low" intelligence is his biggest downfall. He hates to cause pain in others, and thus is mainly a "support" superhero. When fighting an average person, his "fighting" comes down to being a brick wall, brushing off most punches and healing any wounds he receives until his opponent collapses from exhaustion. When forced to fight a super, his best option is to run, although if someone is in danger from a super, he will use himself as a shield and try to outlast them.

History: Dale Nulman had a very easy life in rural Georgia. An only-child, his farmer parents gave him unconditional love, along with whatever they could afford. Things changed, however, with his fourteenth birthday. Having saved up money little by little, they were able to get him a computer. Dale quickly became obsessed with the amazing device, and tried to learn how it worked. Soon afterwards, he took it apart to see what made it tick - but was unable to put it back together. His parents had to work extra hard to earn the money needed to repair it, and Dale was restricted from using the computer when his parents weren't around. He grew even more fascinated with computers, however, and by the time he was eighteen, he decided that he wanted to work with computers for the rest of his life. He knew that his parents could not support him financially with the school he had to go to, so he moved out shortly after graduating highschool.

Having grown up in a small, rural town in Georgia, Dale Nulman had a hard time adjusting to living in Atlanta. But this is what he had to do in order to go to Georgia Tech the university he wanted to get a degree in computer programming. With the only job he could get that fit around his school schedule, he was only able to afford an apartment, in one of the noisiest livable parts of the city. The constant noise caused him constant stress, making it hard for him to study or get good grades. He tended to go for long walks to relieve the stress, but being in a big city, getting lost was a common occurance. Another problem was fear of getting mugged, which caused him to have trouble sleeping, in case of break-ins. All the constant talk of crime in Bigopolis has gotten him paranoid and distrustful.

On one of his walks, something strange happened. Everything went blurry until the whole world seemed to melt away. When "his eyesight cleared", he realized he was in the hospital, having previously passed out. Upon examining himself, he discovered that his body had changed. His hair had grown long, he was much more muscular, and he felt heavier. Any cuts, bruises, and scrapes he had before he collapsed had vanished! He tried to remember what happened between the start of the walk and waking up in the hospital, but all he could remember is a sudden pain in the leg and the image of a snake*. After being discharged, he began to walk out of the hospital, when he tripped from change in balance. After having accidentally placed his hand on a patient while falling, the patient was suddenly healthier. After convincing the patient that it was just her imagination - as she wasn't totally healed, just somewhat better - he managed to get home and reflect on what has happened.

Dale experimented with his healing powers by cutting himself and trying to heal the wounds, but the wounds would heal on their own. Later on, he stumbled across a mugging victim with serious wounds. Passed out, the victim was unable to see him, and thus he was able to heal the man without being noticed. Dale now knew that he wanted to help people with his powers, but after seeing a tabloid with the man he healed claiming to have been saved through a miracle, he also knew he would get much unwanted attention if he did so. Thus, he became the superhero Asclepius (named after doing a Google Search of "healer+Snake") and developing a bad attidude to try to make his job a thankless one.

*Project Perfection had genetically modified a snake to produce a 'mutation serum' instead of venom. However, the snake managed to escape and bite Dale Nulman before it was either killed or re-captured.

Roleplay Sample: "Help, I'm dying!" Man, does he hate that phrase. That's all he ever hears, the curse of the healer. Not "well, this wound could be worse," or "never mind the sharp object impaling me, how was your day," but always "Oh my god, I'm bleeding!" Of course, that's a little harsh, he thinks, considering that is actually what is happening. It's just that yelling gives me a headache and makes it hard to concentrate.

"Help, I'm dying," the old man cries. In his seventies, with creases deeper than canyons and all of his hair having migrated to his chin, you would think that he would be dying of a heart attack. But no - the cause of his pain and his slow, agonizing death are the multiple stab wounds pumping the blood out of his body. "I'm dying, I'm d-"

"Yes, you are," Asclepius states curtly. "I could tell by the fact that most of your blood is outside your body instead of inside. Now shut up so I can make you NOT die! That's better - no wait, you just passed out from blood loss. Well, either way."

Asclepius puts the palms of his hands on the old man's chest and closes his eyes. concentrating deeply, he squints hard enough that his eyebrows overlap his eyes, and sweat pours down his forehead, deflected by the waterproof surgical mask over his mouth. Nothing happens for a moment. Then, the gashes slowly begin to seal as if being sutured by invisible stitches, until they eventually only leave scars - which in turn, fade away.

Asclepius slowly and dizzily stands back up, wobbling from overexertion. After wiping away the sweat, he nudges the old man with his right foot, then helps him up once he is awake. "There," he says, "all better. Now stop running into knives or whatever." The old man begins to profusely thank him. Great, Asclepius thinks to himself. The other thing that gives me a headache. Soon he's gonna tell all his friends about how the amazing superhero Asclepius saved his life, then the media will be looking for him, while he always thinks that he is forever in my debt. Why can't things ever be done once the person I save thanks me? I save people because they are hurt, not because I want everyone to know how 'awesome' I am.

"Don't thank me," Asclepius 'heroicly' shouts, "even though I totally deserve more than just being thanked. Thank chance that I happened to be in the neighborhood. Or something. Now, I must be off. Well, not really, but I don't want to hang around with you."

I'd advise your character not have 1 fs but its up to you.
