Dr.Everyone's Alive! And...a hero?

Dr.Everyone had burned a fire in the sky announcing he was alive. There had been lots of commotion about it. Lot's of theories. But it wasn't the reaction he had wanted. Despite his blue aerial fireshow there was still few people who believed he was alive. He didn't blame them of course. Not many people, even superhumans, survive the fiery blast that he had found himself caught in a long while ago in India. And so he decided that to be a hero, and have the world informed of his change, he would need to commit one last deviate act. He would need to take control of the Times Square Jumbo-Tron. Nobody could deny video evidence broadcast on the largest screen in New York.

Using some of the money he had left over from his darker days Dr.Everyone had purchased a good laptop, wireless communication equipment, and a professional grade camera. After making sure the wireless signal was strong enough to override the signal the Jumbo-Tron was receiving, Dr.Everyone began his broadcast.

~Meanwhile on the ground,~

From the ground, tons of people kept walking past when they heard:

"Hello people of the world!"

But they all looked up, nervously, when they heard:

"I am Doctor Everyone."

~The Broadcast~

"Hello people of the world. I am Doctor Everyone, and I am alive. I am no longer deceased and just as well I am no longer a evil, despicable waste of carbon and oxygen. I have been alive for a good while now, but only recently have I turned back on my dark ways. I urge you all to understand that I was not mentally well when I committed the many atrocities that I have done. But I am now a sane man, and only now do I remember what I have done. And I do not like it. I hate myself as much as all of you do. But I will make it right. That is why I am announcing that I am no longer what you call a villain. I am a hero. A new hero. And I will right the things I have made wrong. Thank you for listening, and I hope you can forgive me. I am sorry."

~The Roof~

From the roof of the One Times Square building (the building which the Jumbo-Tron is mounted on) Dr.Everyone could here the roar of screams and yelling that came from down below. What he did not know, was that some people had recognized that he was on the roof of the building and had called the police. The news he was alive was quickly spreading. What was not spreading was the positive message he had also announced. Sure it was being said that "Dr.Everyone is alive and claims to be a hero." but it the last part was usually said sarcastically.

What he was expecting was that soon enough the military and other authoritative organizations, like the police and GUN, would be coming for him. Crimes do not just get wiped away by an apology. But he would need to run from them. There wasn't much could he could do in prison.

Dr.Everyone's plan had worked. It was now being spread like wildfire that he was alive and a 'hero'. Of course the downside were that heroes were being called to the area, but Dr.Everyone was sure he could talk to them before they just started trying to kill him.

[i]"Whatever happens, this had to be done to ensure that the things I hope to do have a chance of getting done. All I have to do is wait for the smoke to clear."

Phoenix had been walking through Times Square, spending the day shopping for some new clothes. It had been ages since he spent money on himself. All the crime fighting, and the assault of New York, Phoenix had almost lost his identity as Andrew Pettiglio, and became a full time hero. With his college destroyed in the damage, and the city in shambles, it was now the Talons were needed most. However, it seemed to be a time of peace and mourning in the big apple. People treating each other in the streets with kindness and compassion. A sight Phoenix truly loved. He carried a backpack full of his Phoenix gear, less the katana, just incase anything happened. it was suppose to be a peaceful day, but the world that Andrew lived in often turned lazy days to tragedy. Looking up at the jumbo-tron, Phoenix saw Doctor Everyone's face appear. It had been a few days since Andrew talked him out of killing himself, and into becoming a hero.

"Uh oh." Andrew thought with a tilted neck and puzzled look on his face. Man, women, and child around Phoenix began to yell terrible things. Cops quickly arriving on the scene. Andrew needed to get up o top of the building to give much needed back up to the doctor. Dashing down a nearby ally-way, the young hero threw on his costume and was ready to face the world. Getting a good running start he took a leap up at the building, releasing a blast of white fire under himself for a bit more propelling. Once he reached maximum altitude of the jump, he began to crash down towards the building the Doctor stood on. Skidding to a stop once he looked up at his long time friend, Doctor Everyone. "Everyone down there is going nuts!" Andrew exclaimed to his fellow fire manipulator. Looking over the ledge down to the rioting street, Andrew prepared for the worst.Turning back on and standing in front of the rolling camera the hero Phoenix began to make his first public speech ever. He watched as the wireless connection bars rose to full. It couldn't have come at a worse time. However, the people of New York respected the young fire wielder. He started his speech.

"People of New York. This is Phoenix, some of you may know me as the leader of the Talons. I've come to personally inform you all Doctor Everyone has really changed." The riots in the street began to settle a bit as the hero started continued. "I understand what you are all feeling. Anger, aggression, hostility. I myself too once felt such emotions towards The Doctor. You people need to understand he was no sane, and is trying his very best to right the wrongs of his past. In order for him to do this, he needs a fair chance. How is it ok for us to be angry at a man for acts, he committed while mentally sick. By no means am I trying to justify what he did in the past. I just ask you all to keep an open mind and heart. I lead a team of heroes as my job. It would be a hypocritical act for me to not let a man try and share his gifts for the greater good of this planet. That is all, thank you." The transmission ended and he looked at Doctor Everyone. "Now we hope for the best."

Dynamo's trip into Times Square had been more eventful than he had hoped, he used the time as his civilian identity to take some inspiring interviews with those trying to get back on their feet after the devastating assault that had hit the New York. The people looked to be spending there time in the heart of the city and though there was still an looming feeling of sadness, it was being undone by the people's unified hope that things were to get better. The day was speeding along as the young freelance reporter had uploaded his notes and the interviews to the web putting it on the site he had managed to get work at and who had stationed him in the middle of New York. The young hero stretched out on a fountain's edge and yawned emphatically, his other profession had taken up much of Daniel's sleeping hours yet he still had his outfit hidden in his duffel bag that he passed off as gym equipment but he had felt that he would need not use it on such an easy-going day where it seemed the city's repair and renewal were the focus on all the people's minds. That misconception was shot down when suddenly the jumbo-tron in the square was hijacked and a man under the name Dr.Everyone had appeared proclaiming his return and sent the ground below into a frenzy.

The usual feeling of getting to a dark corner to change kicked in and it had the reporter running to a nearby unseen position to get ready "Its just never easy-going with this city is it?" The young hero thought this as he put his mask to his face and suddenly aimed the blade on his forearm to the roof of the building that he had taken cover in to change. The weapon shot up and hooked itself on the building and at a press of a button the blade grappled Dynamo up to the roof. Here he could see the serious panic that was befalling the city, police cars were being called in and had taken positions under the building which the seemingly reformed villain had taken control of, people were pointing up to the roof as a figure was looming on the rooftop. "This kind of set up would need to be done from a close location guess he wants to get his message across without fear of capture" Dynamo thought this to himself as suddenly he saw the broadcast which had been brought to an end as he began to make his way to the roof on which this Dr.Everyone was now once again come alive. This time though it was not the Doctor that was sending a message but instead another calling himself Phoenix, the leader of the Talons. He was a note worthy face in a city filled with heroes and he had taken the time to make a rousing speech in Everyone's honor looking to seemingly avoid the chaos that the Doctor had started with his hijacking. As the speech ended and the hero once again shut down the broadcast Dynamo couldn't help but say to himself jokingly "What a moving speech..." By this time he had mad his way to a position where he could grapple his way onto the roof that was causing all the distress. "This is gonna hurt..."

The shot hit into a vent onto the building and had Dynamo release the blade and retract it before he hurtled into the metal. The young detective flew over the ground below and rolled onto the roof with an impact, he rolled until he found footing but he had to admit it hurt as he tried to stand. He looked over to the two apparent heroes guessing they probably noticed his entrance, it was not his intention to make himself known so soon but his interest was piqued and he needed answers on why the Doctor picked now to make his announcement. "Well you two seem to have caused quite a disturbance with your hijacking of the airwaves... Could you not have used some social media site to get your message across, would have saved the both of you a lot of time and effort" He moved towards the two of them and looking at them both he asked Dr.Everyone a question "So Doctor you come here today to make this announcement simply so you could have every single hero within ear shot come to see if you are telling the truth or were you hoping that all those people down on the ground were gonna welcome you with open arms?" He turned as he asked the question and then followed up by saying "If you thought the second was the right answer then you may not be as sane as you think..." Dynamo waited eagerly on the reply of either the reformed villain hoping to see if he had actually changed and become one of the good guys or if Phoenix gave some evidence why the good doctor didn't need to be in police custody after all he had done.

Dr.Everyone was surprised at the arrival of Phoenix, and touched at his speech. But before he could say anything to Phoenix, he was surprised by a new arrival. He however showed no signs of surprise or worry, and by all means did not show he was anything but calm.

"I used the most effective way to get my message out to the most people in the shortest span of time quickly. I have accomplished that at the least. And I will admit I had grandiose visions of the latter outcome you mentioned, which of course have not come true. But I have changed and wish only to do good to right the wrongs I've made. And I can't do much of that from inside a prison cell, can I?"

Looked at the mysterious man, his face hidden by the visor of his helmet. He was hoping very much that this man didn't want a fight, but he stood calmly, optimistically awaiting the unfolding events around him.
