The Legacy

Personality: Sophia is pretty much the textbook definition of a sad, lonely girl. Can you blame her though? Still, she's not quite what you'd expect. An array of personality quirkys distinguish her from others. She just doesn't express emotions right.

History: Sophia was not concieved as a result of rape. Nor did her birth cost her mother her life. She was just born, but still different. Sophia was born the 2nd child of parents Audrey and Thomas Carlton, and their son Frederick. Unbeknowst to anyone, her innate powers had been draining her mother of strength during pregnancy. The aftereffects of this did not show up for 3 years, until she passed away suddenly of a heart attack. This occured while the family was driving home. Distracted by the sudden death of his wife, Thomas crashed the car into a large truck. The resulting collision killed everyone but Sophia, who only suffered some non-fatal injuries. Emergency crews were able to rescue her and she was eventually sent to live with some relatives.
All these years later and she still has not adjusted to either the loss of her family or having to live with relatives that she had never met before the accident. Not like life has been easy since. For instance, her powers have routinely caused power outages, and other strange incidents. Life at home was difficult due to her inability to adjust or properly communicate with her family. Having to attend school was much worse for she somehow managed to make everyone around her fearful of her. Including the teachers. Around the age of 8, she first started to notice the existence of a strange apparition. One that she would name 'Billy' once she got to know it better. Her behavior then started to get weirder. She went from sad and lonely to terrifyingly creepy.

The Powers

Power 1: Power boosting: Sophia's energy possesses an amplifying effect on alternate forms of energy. This can include strengthening genetic structure and increasing energy output. These boosts are only temporary though. She can also boost her own abilities, but is unaware of the ability to do so. In fact she has little control over this power and it can potentially backfire.

Power 2: Healing: The healing powers work similarly to her energy amplification ability. Instead she concentrates specifically on the body's natural regenerative capabilities and strengthens those.

Power 3: Energy Absorption: Sophia is capable of absorbing different kinds of energy just as she can strengthen it. She cannot hold the absorbed energy for too long. Often it is either released back immediately, or is used to power the amplification ability

Weaknesses:
Doesn't fully control her powers: Sophia is inexperienced at using her powers and sometimes cannot activate them or use them as intended.
Complete lack of confidence and is easily scared
Physically fragile: Sophia is a tiny little girl and can be easily hurt by just about anything
