Nathan felt a chakra signature moving away from the field of battle and decided he would follow the chakra source. He figured that it was important and may very well be a part of their sensei's plan to teach them something. To his great surprise this chakra signature appeared to be heading toward's the Hokage's manner, which was exactly where Nathan wanted to be right now. Nathan was following Zennu to the destruction that was awaiting him in the near forests. He saw smoke and heard various explosions. There is something going on. I have to be prepared for this. It is going to get messy and I can’t hold back for an instance. People could be dying, the Hokage could be in danger. I need to be there now.

Flashback

Nathan recalled his various trainings his parents had forced him to go through. Nathan would sit for hours with his father, injecting chakra into his father. This chakra would have the potential to corrupt an confuse the entire nervous system. It was a highly renowned medical technique that would disrupt the flow of nerve impulses. The brain would become confused and send signals to completely random portions of the body. Nathan’s father told Nathan that in time he would be able to control where those nerve impulses went through his Yamanka trainings. However, the focus now was his medical prowess to better serve the hokage. His focused his chakra into a chakra scalpel he had mastered young. Then he would touch his father’s arm an attempt to inject chakra into his father’s body. When he was satisfied with his results, he would nod his head and tell his father to attempt to move. His father went to strike Nathan across the face to show that the boy had failed; however in a surprising shock, all his father could manage to do was turn his head. Nathan sighed in defeat, thinking his father had shaken his head in disapproval. However, he was then amazed to see a smile upon his father’s face. Nathan had done it, he had learned and used the body interruption technique. The famous ability Tsunade had mastered and used on so many foes to cause them to be a helpless mess. Nathan then touched both hands to his father’s arm and withdrew the remaining chakra that would act almost as a bacterium in his father’s body that would disrupt nervous impulses. Shortly after Nathan had removed the chakra in his father he was commanded to stand up and they would begin training a more defensive, or supportive type of technique. Nathan knew the chakra scalpel and now the body point disturbance jutsu, but what he needed to learn was to actually heal a wound if someone sustained one in the battlefield near him.

Nathan’s father explained the process that would occur soon. He instructed in a quick and uninterrupted fashion, questions were not allowed. Nate was expected to catch it all the first time or experience the consequences of his actions. He cleared his mind of all else, anything other than what his father was saying was complete and total garbage. “So son, you need to focus your chakra around an injury. While doing this you need to match the chakra you’re using the exact size and severity of the injury. For instance, a small cut wouldn’t need much chakra to be repaired, where in contrast a torn ligament would need quite concise chakra.” Nate knew he wasn’t allowed to ask questions but he couldn’t help the curious gaze that overcame his face. He had no idea how chakra being forced over a wound would heal it, when normally chakra would injure someone. It seemed kind of oxymoronic to the young Yamanaka. His father noted this confusion and said, “patience child, I will get to explaining how it works shortly, I just need you to know exactly what you need to do. The process is more important than the way it works. If you screw up on this in the battlefield you will certainly kill someone and bring a huge dishonour to yourself, our clan, and of course the hokage.” His father reached to the left and grasped a cup of water. He then took a drink before continuing his speech as to how the mystical palm technique worked. “Furthermore, this technique as you should have guessed works on both internal injuries as well as external injuries. You will be able to heal bruises, cut tendons, anything that isn’t lethal with this technique. Tsunade-sama had much more talent in this area an was able to do such without focusing. Us as common medical ninja will need to focus on a person. Though again, as a Yamanaka you have the talent to project chakra. That means you should be able to heal from a short distance away from a person, which will be a very valuable asset to your arsenal of ninjutsu abilities. The Mystical palm technique will allow you to speed up the mitotic cells regeneration. You will focus and cause your catalyst to move the cell from interphase, into the initiation of mitosis. Through this, you know the rest, the cells will replicate their DNA and carry on to duplicate until the wound has sealed itself fully. This is done using the body’s natural repair, and will not deteriorate the body with using this ability. Instead, it will actually cause the body to respond quicker to bodily injury. An injury can be healed within minutes, as long as your chakra can sustain the duration that is needed. Now try this technique on me, and do it quickly. I don’t want to have to repeat myself. But first, let’s see how that chakra scalpel can cut; we’re going to need that soon for the next couple of techniques. So come at me, cut me my son.” Nathan nodded his head and both his hands were instantly glowing a pale blue and he slashed down across his father’s arm. A gash formed that was fairly deep. Blood was pouring out from his arm, and at this point in his training blood no longer made the young boy squeamish. His chakra around his hands changed color; one could say it had undergone a physical change. It was now a light lime green in the stead of a pale blue.

Nathan pressed his chakra to the arm of his father and allowed the chakra to pour into his father’s wound. He focused in a total opposite as he would to use the chakra scalpel. The scalpel was used to cut, where the Mystical Palm was used to mend. He felt the cells in his father’s arm and melded his chakra to their mitochondria, to the ribosome, every part of the cell that would have even the smallest portion in mitosis. He energized the cells and watched as the gash in his father’s arm began to clot. The bleeding had stopped, the red blood cells no longer pouring out in the plasma towards the ground. The muscle and skin cells began to knit themselves together, causing a visible stitching to occur in the gash. The cut was becoming smaller and smaller as Nathan maintained the chakra focus needed. When the cut was a mere mark on the flesh of his father he stopped the focus and stared in astonishment at what had just occurred. There was new flesh, new muscle, where there had not been any mere seconds ago. Medical ninjutsu was an amazing tool that Nathan was so proud to say he could utilize. His father once again smiled with delight as his son seemed to have a very strong grasp of medical techniques. He learned them with ease, taking on a powerful and ancient art. “Okay good, now we are going to focus on something that will prevent you from dying on the battlefield. Something that is a very powerful tool and will save your life more times than you will count. As a medical ninja, particularly one of the Hokage’s guards, your life will be headhunted by countless missing ninja. This is called the Yin Healing Wound Destruction technique. It allows a talented medical ninja to analyze the opponent and where they will strike. It prepares the cell’s regeneration to begin before an injury is sustained, lessening the resulting injury as a whole. As a sensor as well as a medic, you will excel in this, predicting where the opponent will strike you, you will do exactly as you just did there and focus chakra to that area of your body to prevent injury. Now, as your skills as a sensor are minimal right now, I will inform you where I will strike you.” His father’s hand began to glow with a very similar chakra scalpel, his however was viciously fine and sharp. It was unforgiving. His other hand pointed to Nathan’s gut. In the same split second his father lunged the chakra scalpel slashing a deep incision in Nathan’s stomach. It would easily have shred apart his abdominal muscles; however it had no effect on the muscles themselves. He had anticipated the strike, knowing it was coming in fact, and in its place was a shallow cut that was in fact still bleeding heavily, but was seventy-five percent less deadly than it could have been. Nate winced as the pain was intense, he felt the fullness of the injury as his cells had still received the pain, but had repaired ahead of time in expectation. Nathan’s father then reached down and repaired the damage he had done using his own technique. He knew he would easily repair what was left of the injury; once again he couldn’t help but smile as his son seemed to impress him more and more. He then reached over to the side desk and handed Nathan a bottle of liquid. It was a saline solution mixed with some Aconitum extract. He held up a needle as well. “This needle contains a compound poison of wolfs bane, or as you know it, Aconitum. This poison is deadly and will kill me in five minutes. You will however, extract it from my body using another technique. This technique uses water pressure and poison extracts, or antidotes to eliminate or gather the poison. When I inject this into my left arm, you will use the chakra scalpel to cut open a small incision. Then you will gather the contents of that bottle and focus it into the incision. The poison will be draw to the extract in that solution, and will attempt to spread through the body using the saline. However, you will then extract it from my body using the same pressure you did to insert it. Do I make myself clear?” Nathan nodded and as his father saw this, the poison was injected. Nathan had seconds to act before the poison spread further than was manageable through that single incision. The hole that had been made in the flesh was felt through Nathan’s chakra scalpel and he would run his index finger along the flesh for two centimeters. He then focused his chakra around the bottle and pulled up, a clear liquid coming up with it. His hands held the ball of water between them and he placed the water over the cut. The saline solution was then sucked into the incision through pressure and use to his chakra making up a part of the solution he could feel it still and felt as the solution became weighted. There was roughly an extra five millilitres added and at this point Nathan pulled his hands up away from the incision. The once clear solution was now a cloudy blank ink of liquid. He had successfully withdrawn the wolfs bane poison from his father. He chose to put this back in the bottle and keep it for future use.

“Flawless my son, now the final thing I have to teach you we do not need to practice, it is perfected through our clan techniques as well. The chakra transfer technique and its derived form the healing chakra transfer. You use these techniques to support your team. One of them will allow you to give your chakra to your allies if they are more useful in the situation than you would be. The other allows you to heal them with that chakra as well, making you an incredibly useful asset for Konoha. You will be able to heal from the safety of a defensive unit. It is an incredible technique that your mother advised we try to take advantage of. Surely it will bring recognition to you from the village superiors. For now my son, that is all I can teach you. The rest is up to you, create new techniques, master each of these further than you already seem to have and you will make us more proud than you already have. You are an amazing son and will bring a great deal of pride to the clan.”

Flashback End

Nathan watched the smoke billow and rise and decided he had to go to that location now. He rushed off as fast as he could, feeling himself exhilarated for a fight, or even just to display his skills in the village. Finally he wouldn’t just be the kid who everyone knew of but never knew why he was so known or even why he was given the role of the Hokage’s Assistant/ Guard at such a low rank and young age.
