Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Personality:
Tends to be a little detatched from people at first, especially if the meeting is "just business". Pipit is also very mature for her age--her innocence was ruined when she was ten. She is usually a little bitter towards other, but she's not above a snarky remark buring combat or even poking fun at allies during or after a fight. She is usually sarcastic--even to the point of being called acerbic--but she's never prideful or imperious. Her sense of humor, if wired a little differently than most, is usually well meaning. First sign of trouble, though, and Pipit imediately buckles down and digs her heels in. She's confident in her work and knows what she's doing, but she doesn't like people potentially getting in her way. Once you've soiled her opinion of you she doesn't give second chances. She is extremely ornery.
History:
Pipit grew up in a family of nobodies--her father was a respected small businessman in her hometown of Highrock and her mother was a homemaker. She lived with her older and young brother, who were often quite a handful, but it was a simple existance and one she loved. When she was very young her parents recognized her unique talent with music--the way the five-year-old could pick out a tune by ear or simply carry one was remarkable and, while she never became famous because of her abilities, her parents organized recitals and let her sing on request. It was one thing that made her feel complete and it seemed to gather the entire family in one spot, which made it doubly enjoyable for her.
There were things in Highrock, however, that a child could not understand, like the crime wars between two competing bosses, the gangs, the threats, and her father's affiliation with Rowland D. Hardvel's side of the conflict. When Mr. LeFaull tried to pull out when he saw the lose-lose situation he had landed himself and his entire family in, the boss struck out in vengeance to make an example of the deserter.
An..."accident" occurred one evening when the entire family was traveling to a charity ball that young, now ten years old, Pipit LeFaull was to sing at. A gas line busted near their subway train. The rupture burst into the passenger car, and the entire LeFaull family perished in the accident.
Except for Pipit. She had survived, though her shoulders, chest, and throat had been scarred by shrapnel from the subway. The metal had torn into her throat, narrowly and miraculously missing her main arteries. The rest of her body suffered moderate burns and fractured bones. She received ugent care imediately, and still has doctors scratching their heads as to how she survived. It took her two years to fully recoverfrom the damage, though mentally she was still considered unsound. Her voice was almost completely lost and there was a two inch hole into her trachea which the doctors and urses kept covered with sterile gauze and a neck brace.
A talented ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist by the name of Dr. Fredrick Drescher was intrigued by her case and, since she had not living relatives, admitted her to his ENT research facility as a patient and a ward.
During the next year, Pipit devoted her time to rehabilitatin the rest of her body while Dr. Drescher studied and worked on a solution for her vocal problem. She found that she excelled in many physical activities, such as track and martial arts, andi nher spare time she tinkered with the facility's computers and played mind games with herself, all of which Dr. Drescher encouraged when he saw that it took her mind off of her condition and, ultimately, her deceased family. It took him three months to figure out that she had hacked and sifted through every file in the facility's database.
At age fourteen, Pipit received the Voice Emulator and Support Device, which Dr. Drescher and his team of technicians had developed to help her voice. For the next two years she was taught to speak with the VESD, which fit into the cavity in her throat, and though she learned to speak with ease she could no longer sing. The stress was too much for her vocal chords.
While still learning to speak with the VESD, Pipit began to delve into the darkness of her past and, with her cleverly acquired hacking abilities, uncovered the ugly truth about her family's death and their murderer still at large. She vowed not to rest until the culprit, Hardvel, had paid for his crimes and her family was avenged.
Pipit currently travels around, working as a mercenary for hire. The only line she will not cross is killing for money.
Powers:
The VESD (Energy Procection): The Voice Emulator and Support Device makes up for her damaged vocal folds by analyzing the frequency of the sound, processing it, and returning a sound of a stronger frequency in the form of an electronic voice built to match hers. There is a dial on the left-hand side of the VESD that allows Pipit to adjust it and, if she tweaks it a bit, her scream can match the same as glass, shattering it. She can shatter normal glass up to a foot thick, though the thicker the glass the more difficult it is to break. She can do the same to bulletproof glass, but in this case only up to two inches thick as bullet proof glass takes longer to break, thus more strain on her voice. She can also occasionally stun her opponents with her voice by emitting a high frequency that disorients them and, on rare chance, causes a few moments of virtual defness. Her ability to use the VESD is limited, though, as the more she uses it, the more strain it puts on her already fragile vocal chords, so she sparingly uses this ability.
Technology Manipulation (Intelligence): Pipit can easily crack any computer if she's given a couple moments to sit down and toy with it. While computers are a breeze to her, and can actually help her gather information on other mechanics, other machines do not come as easily to her. The best she can do in this situation is have prioir knowledge and have done her research.
Martial Arts (Fighting Skills): Pipit has mastered two different kinds of martial arts and is very familiar with six others, from her rehabilitation at Dr. Drescher's ENT facility. She knows how to target a person's weaknesses and use them against them in various ways, giving her the ability to rather easily take down an opponent twice her size if they let down their guard for a moment.
Fast and Sneaky (Speed): Pipit's training has allowed her to be fast and light on her feet, making it easier for her to sneak and tumble about, say, a secret government base undetected. This also allows her incredible peak-condition reflexes--like a cat--and it's difficult to land a punch on her. Since she's not the strongest this sometimes gives her an upper hand when facing those *cough, cough* bumbling bohemoths she sometimes runs into.

Pipit LeFaull creeped silently in the shadows of the outer wall of the government facility. Her motorcycle was just a few yards away, in the guards' blind spot, and it would be moments before she was away and gone. She took a moment to stroke the small, fingernail sized USB port in her fist. It would take them at least six hours to figure out that the floor plans to the place had been replicated and stolen, and another six hours to discover the virus she had planted deep in the recesses of theirr database. And to think it only took ten munites to get in and get out...
Pipit slipped the USB into her belt. SHe was just about to hop on her beloved motorcycle when a hand shot out of the darkness and caught her wrist. A large man wearing, in Pipit's opion, what appeared to be the world's strangest spandex costume ever created pulled her gently away from her baby.
"I highly suggest you give that back, little missy," she said, the fabric of his dark mask moving with his words. "Then we can have a nice little chat about why you'd want the plans to this facility."
Pipit couldn't help a chuckle, the raspy, half-dead notes of her true voice drowned out by the synthetic one produced by the metal sheath on her throat. "Not gonna happen, leotard boy. I promised a dear friend of mine I'd bring this in and I never break my word." She tapped her motorcycle helmet, which she had taken the liberty of wearing into the facility as an extra precaution, knowingly. He couldn't see the way she smiled. "Besides, big boy, you wouldn't be able to catch an innocent, little pipsqueak like me."
"Please, kid," he looked less-than-thrilled now, "it's been a long night. I'm tired. You're tired. Let's make this easier on the both of us."
PIpit shrugged. Sounded simple enough. "Okay, leotard boy, I'll make it easy for you."
She twisted around and grabbed his arm with both hands then rolled him over her back and onto the ground. He hit it with a grunt. She then jmped up on his chest and launched into the seat of her motorcycle. With the tap of a button, she was off before he had even gotten up.
She glanced in her rear-view mirror. By the looks of it he intended to give chase. She checked the time on the screen between her handlebars. 2:54 AM. She had six munites to get to the rendezvous to meet up with ehr employer.
And this was where the real fun began.
