Post by Kaguya April 24th 2012, 7:01 pm

The curtain of night had only recently lowered for New York city, and it's shop were still open and busy. The moon light shined brightly down onto the streets and through windows giving Kaguya the energy she needed to...sign her name. Or at least, her super hero name.

Inside a bookstore, The Moonflower sat at a table at the end of a fairly long-though not nearly as long as she would like-line signing various things people brought up to her. They ranged from books to action figures, various things depicting her likeness. Most of the people in line were children or older male Japanophiles, some of which came on pretty strong but Kaguya knew how to deal with the creeps by now. She smiled and answered all questions cheerfully while the fans moved through the line. Inwardly, she sighed. It was like starting over from scratch since coming to America. She needed to get famous again here, and fast. "Ah well, we all have to pay our dues. It's still more exciting than attending stuffy ceremonies" She thought to herself. She may have thought quietly to herself for a while longer, but unfortunately about that time an armored truck busted through the wall, plowing through bookshelves and nearly Kaguya, though she leapt out of the way at the last minute.

Kaguya tried to figure out what had happened as the dust cleared. First thing first, she noted that the truck hadn't hit any of the civilians waiting in her line or any random shoppers. then she noticed why an armored car was randomly plowing through a bookstore wall, it was quickly followed by sirens and blue lights as men armed with assault rifles and wearing ski masks stumbled out of the truck. It seems some unsavory types were trying to make off with the contents of the transport vehicle. Kaguya scanned the store for her weapon. Unfortunately it was currently tucked securely between the ground and the front left tire of the recently arrived vehicle. The store manager wouldn't let her bring it into the building wrapping it up, so it was currently covered in nondescript brown paper and plastic ties. She tried to pull it out from beneath the car, with little effect besides drawing attention to herself. One of the criminals turned his attention to her. Oh well, she was hardly defenseless without her blade.

"What the fu-" was all the man managed out before a crescent of bright light quickly traveled through the end of his rifle, cutting a healthy portion clean off and rendering it useless. It's a shame the cameras aren't here yet. Kaguya thought to herself. But when evil appears, it must be punished quickly with a swift "Kick!" She vocalized the last word as she threw a jumping kick into his side before quickly going into a standing flip. She craned her neck back to look at her attacker as her body was completely upside down in midair. The man was obviously befuddled by a combination of her speed, and by the spectacle of a scantily clad young girl's upside down face looking at him. "Behind you." She said with a smile, finishing her flip with a kick to the back of his head that sent him involuntarily running forward into a wall. She was preparing her next attack, confident she had the situation in hand, when she was frozen still by a young cry and a shouted command.

One of the thugs had his rifle pointed at the temple of a civilian. Kaguya recognized her as someone in her line. She was one spot away from making it to the front. A little girl of maybe 7 or 8 wearing a kitty kat hooded sweatshirt and clutching a small pink Moonflower diary in her hand, covered in stickers of Kaguya's own likeness. "Don't do anything funny, or this little girl's life's on your hands! Put your hands up real slow, no suddent movements!" Kaguya cursed under her breath. She didn't have any choice. She had taken down super villains and giant monsters from outer space, but some random New York City thug had gotten the better of her. "Please don't let him hurt me." escaped the little girls mouth in between quiet sobs and hiccups. Kaguya slowly put her hands in the air, stretching out her fingers until her palms were flat. She looked at the little hostage and gave a big sincere-looking smile. "Everything'll be okay. Don't worry, us super heroes always have a plan!" In truth though, Kaguya had always fallen a little short in the planning ahead department...and with their hostage the police weren't able to do anything more than Kaguya could, other than try to negotiate through their megaphone. Kaguya's blue eyes scanned the room for something, anything she could use to change the situation but she was coming up short.

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Jack Maroon April 24th 2012, 7:47 pm

The thug pointing his rifle at the little girl was sure he had gotten the situation under his control. Granted, the girl was a superhero that could easily beat him even with a gun, but her heroism would also be her weakness. The thug rightfully thought that as long as he had the hostage, he could get away; he could win.
When a still-sheathed ornamental katana lodged itself into his brain, the flaws in his theory were pointed out quite elegantly. First off, he had focused all of his attention upon the superheroine; which while logical, considering both her threat factor and relatively high eyecandy status, wasn't the smartest thing to do.
Secondly, he had assumed that asides from the girl and the police, there would be no other hindrances to their plans; only unarmed civilians, which were perfect for using as hostages.
And thirdly, and most importantly, he had pissed off Jack Maroon.

Jack had been eagerly awaiting this day, ripping out the calendar pages with joy until the date finally came near. He'd have a chance at a real meet-and greet with japanese teen superheroine idol 'Ami', better known as 'The Moonflower'. He had been following her success in the East for quite a while, and had become somewhat of a fanboy. Badass chicks with swords were an anime-otaku's wet dream, and Jack just so happened to be such an otaku.
He had even brought along his authentic limited edition Moonflower figurine and his Gengetsu-replica sword that he had purchased online. The latter being the very same item that had recently pierced the criminal's skull and the soft tissue it guarded, effectively ending the man's life.

When the armored vehicle had crashed into the bookstore, Jack had casually walked to the edge of the room, away from the rest of the panicking crowd. Jack didn't like panicking crowds. So hysterical, so uncontrolled. Helpless and weak, and completely unable to deal with the situation at hand.
Smiling, Jack had watched the teen idol incapacitate most of her would-be assailants through his dark mirrored sunglasses, seeing her beat the crap out of them without even using her sword. While this saddened Jack, mostly since it meant there would be a lack of bloodletting in this fight, he still enjoyed observing his martial prowess. She was definitely good. Good technique, speed, reflexes. Her strength seemed a little lacking, but she more than made up with it with skill and, well, superpowers.

But then came the point where her adversary took hostage a small child. This Jack could simply not abide. Taking hostages was weak. Jack already had little respect for cookie-cutter goons like these, valuing them only for providing him with something to play with, but when they resorted to cheap tactics like this it just lit his fuse.
Since the guy wasn't even worth getting cut by a blade, Jack had decided to resort to the simplest and quickest tactic at hand. Just throw a sheathed sword at his head like a spear, and throw it hard. Inhumanly so. The result a bloody mess, a traumatized blood-spattered kid and a contently grinning Jack Maroon.

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Morning Star April 24th 2012, 8:16 pm

It was nighttime, Lucifer's favorite time of the day. It's so mysterious, yet something this mysterious shouldn't be this relaxing. So what did he do? He decided to take a walk of course! Actually, he had heard of a book signing that was occurring that night. He would mentally use it as an excuse to go to the library. He was actually planning on reading "Alice In Wonderland" while tripping on psychedelics. It seemed like it would be a great experience, hopefully it was a magnificent experience. He smiled to himself, he was getting exciting just thinking about it.

He was about a block away from the library when he saw an armor truck being chased by a few police cars. Ehh, since it's on the way. He thought to himself. He pulled out a mask from the back of his pants and chased the armored truck. As he was chasing the truck, he heard a huge crash. The armored truck had hit something that sounded like a building, which means this was not good at all. He saw what building the truck had crashed into and of course... it was the library. "Are you fucking kidding me?" He said to himself with a stale face. He saw a few men get out of the armored truck, he wasn't going to intervene just yet. He was going to wait this out and see what the cops would do.

He sat down on the cold street and watched the action take place, a man wearing a demon mask sitting on the street, what an odd image. A girl had decided to take control of the situation, she looked like she knew what she was doing, and she looked oddly familiar. Until she made a mistake and got caught up in one thug and didn't make sure the civilians were safe first. He chuckled to himself. Just as he was about to get up to kill the last thug, someone got to it before him. Someone threw a sheathed sword threw his head, spilling blood all over the place. He was a little taken back by that.

He got up and applauded "Bravisimo!" he said in a sarcastic tone. He walked up to the scene and over the body that lay sprawled on the floor in a pool of blood. "Whoever threw that sword should probably come out of hiding now, that was an excellent throw not gonna lie. A little sloppy though, don'tcha think? You got blood all over the little girl." He said while looking over into the direction the blade came from. "It wouldn't have been any cleaner if I did it though." he said as a sword appeared in his hands in a sea of flames and disappear a few seconds later in flames. He had whispered his incantation.

He looked at the girl, he had figured out who she was. Her name was Moonflower or something of that sort. "You were excellent, you move with so much grace." He said with a grin. He looked at the man behind her that had hit the wall, he was preparing to pick up a chair leg, but before he even had the chance to grab it, Lucifer had already sent a black flame ball at his head. He let the fire burn for a few seconds, as that was all it needed to kill him. He then extinguished it. "Missed one." He said. He then turned around and looked at the armored truck, he didn't say anything, but he felt as if there were more crooks in the back on that truck. It would be insane for two people to rob an armored truck without any assistance.

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Swordsmaster April 24th 2012, 8:31 pm

So, Darren had been standing there in this huuuuuggggeeeeeee ass line having no clue really why he was to be honest. He had never read this girls’ books, or never seen her in action, hell he actually had never heard of her before but she did seem to be famous. Not only was she famous, she was also pretty damn hot and that put her up a few notches on Darren’s list. Oh, sure he would probably never ever get anywhere near this girl because of said famousness and the fact that he was just some random Australian kid with a sword on his back. He had no clue what she would sign when he got up there so he would probably just have her sign his stomach, sword, or something of that sort for the hell of it.

To be honest walking around with a sword didn’t seem to be that odd in America it seemed. Hell everyone in this store, or in the unorthodoxly big ass line, seemed to have a sword of some sort so it had to be normal to do so. He laughed to himself lightly shaking his head ‘Americans are so weird, eat fatty food and walk around with little naked rats in their purses’. He thought to himself while he waited in the line he was almost run over by a fucking car! A big armored car that could have hit him, if of course he hadn’t yawned and looked out to his right just as it came crashing through the window and dived to the side, grabbing a person who was too dumb to move as well.

“Stay there, and like don’t get yourself killed.” He said grinning as he laughed turning around he unsheathed his sword and was just about to help when he noticed the famous Japanese girl had taken them all out. He rose an eyebrow and whistled at the speed and skill she had, one that could even rival his own but that wasn’t the last of it, oh no there was one more it seemed. As he was about to sprint over and knock the guy epicly flat on his ass a sheath, with a sword in it, went flying through the man’s head! Oh, how epic it would have been had the blood and brains not splattered all over the poor girls head.

He blinked at the appearance of the new guy who seemed to be evil as he walked in and lit some guy on fire, like you don’t do that! “Don’t be like that….mate.” He said referring to both of them as a bad dude tried to get up and he just used the flat end of the blade to smack him back down to the ground, “No, who said you could get up stay down there you dumb ass.” He muttered looking around at the other people trying to figure out who threw the sheathed sword. Not liking the looks of flame man, he walked up over to beauty queen with a sword and stood next to her sword in his hand ready to take out anyone who dared to hurt any more little people! Like Sarah, she was a little person, a very cute and powerful little person!

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Kaguya April 25th 2012, 11:12 pm

Kaguya was still holding her hands up trying to figure out a way out of the situation she'd stumbled into when suddenly the man holding the little girl hostage's head exploded. Kaguya saw the sword, even as fast as it was moving, but there was barely time to blink much less do anything about it before the man's life was ended, splattering his blood all over the young girl. "NO!" A shrill shout involuntarily escaped her mouth as she pushed off the ground with a dash, clearing the space between her and the girl before touching the ground again. She swept the girl into her arms pressing her face against her chest as she carried her out the hole in the wall the car had generously made. She set the girl down safely behind the law enforcement line. "Okay, you have to promise me you won't open your eyes until I come see you again. If you do that I'll come back and make sure to give you something nice okay?" The girl nodded, closing her eyes tight. Kaguya ran back into the crime scene in time to find another man murdering one of the criminals, sending her over the edge. Did no one here have any honor or courage?

"ENOUGH!" Kaguya yelled, light energy forming around her arms and breaking apart, dissipating into small sparkles. Unlike some people, Kaguya's powers gained no power from anger or raw emotion. She took a deep breath, quickly regaining her conversation. "I have had enough of coward on this night. There will be no more killing." Kaguya held her arm up, letting a small crescent blade dance in circles around it to show she was serious about her proclamation. The seriousness in her voice a stark contrast to her flashy, bold white and gold garments.

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Jack Maroon April 27th 2012, 10:25 am

Jack's vicious kill had spiralled this event into total chaos. Two new actors took to the stage: two relatively youthful swordsmen, even compared to Jack. The first must've been some kinda wizard or something, Jack thought, since he made a fiery sword appear and disappear while talking. Somehow the guy seemed to think Jack was hiding. He was just standing there out in the open, shouldn't have been that hard to spot him.
The other guy just saved a civilian, but limited his actions to that for now.

The Moonflower had immediately dashed outside with the probably traumatized girl, only to return to the scene of the fire mage dude setting the head of one of the thugs on fire and delivering a snappy one-liner. The other dude, whose name was also unknown to Jack, knocked out a bloke that was trying to get up with the flat of his blade and mildly rebuked the fire-guy for his actions.

Jack was kind of confused. During these events he hadn't moved a muscle, instead just looking around at what everyone was doing. When Kaguya began to raise her voice, and put on her little show, Jack just waited for her to finish, smiling all the time. It was cute when she got all angry.

"So I'm guessing the signing session is over?" He asked once she finished, holding up the Moonflower figurine he had brought with him for her to sign, and subconsciously glancing towards the sword that was still stuck in the hostage-taker's head. For a split second, he pondered whether he should retrieve and wash the replica or just leave it there, since it was kinda dirty now. He dismissed the thoughts, waiting instead for the girl's response, or for the other two guys to do anything substantial.

(OOC: Lame post is lame, sorry. Events were kinda chaotic. Hope we can get it nice and orderly now.

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Morning Star April 29th 2012, 8:32 pm

"Well, it looks like we're done here." Lucifer said. It got a bit chaotic, but it looked like there weren't anymore crooks. The recent string of events was starting to calm the entire situation down. Especially after the heroine almost let her anger out on everyone, but took it back in a few seconds. He looked at everyone who was already here, they all seemed to be capable of standing their own ground. "There's no need to protect her by the way, I'm on your side." Lucifer said to the guy with the hood. Lucifer then looked at the fan boy who delivered the first kill and chuckled at what he said.

He knew it might be a little hard to earn his trust, especially after he just lit a guy's head on fire. He walked over to the cops and talked to them for a bit, he was telling them to get the civilians home safely. Though he didn't seem like the type to care about them, they were the top priority. He looked at the mess they created, the dead crooks would be taken care of by the medical staff and the rubble would most likely be fixed in less than a week. On the other hand, he wanted to talk to these guys over dinner, he was incredibly hungry.

"So, do you guys want to get some pizza or something?" He said with a smirk that was unseen thanks to the mask. He had a little money on his debit card, "My treat." He had open arms when he said this. He wanted to seem inviting. He sat down and waited for their response. Even among all of this chaos surrounding him, Lucifer was still as calm as ever. A famous heroine, an Australian hooded fighter, a fan boy with incredible speed, and himself, a fire manipulator with a sword. It was a strange collection of kids.

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Swordsmaster April 29th 2012, 9:32 pm

Darren Cross watched the heroine’s display of anger and protection over the little girl. It seemed she too was serious when it came to killing, and though he called himself Swordsmaster when wearing his ho-he laughed at his own stupidity when he touched his head and realized he had that hood on. Shrugging to himself he watched the fire guy walk away and the first killer asked a stupid question about the signing session being over; and then Darren realized it probably was over as well and blinked. “Hey killer dude’s got a point; I stood in that line for so long I’m getting something signed.” He said laughing slightly only slightly joking about the singing session thing. He also stood there and sheathed his sword as he watched the famous Japanese girl, finding it cute when she got all mad and stuff but that was for another time. His mind was completely taken back when fire guy said something about food and his treat. “Hmm…. Pizza….Pizza is good, real good. Yea, I would love some pizza.” He said shrugging off everything, hey the guy may have killed some guy but he offered free food so he’d take it as he had no where to live.

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Kaguya May 1st 2012, 4:53 pm

"Yeah, I'd say this signing has been canceled. I'm pretty sure everybody's about to be evacuated."

At first she was simply going to ignore the American's offer and leave, but she was betrayed by a loud grumble coming from her stomach. "Well, I guess a free meal is a start of an apology." She said without actually looking at anyone, unable to dial down her pride. "As long as the pizza place has a salad or something. I have to do something first though." Suddenly a thought popped up in Kaguya's mind "I have to take care of something first though"

She dashed back outside meeting the little girl who's eyes were still close. She paused a minute while figuring out what she could actually give her. Her gloves? that seemed pretentious. Ah what the heck, I've got a spare She thought as she removed her hair ornaments and place them into the small hands of the little girl. "Okay you can open your eyes now." The little girl gasped with surprise, and Kaguya just shot her a smile and peace sign before being off again. She caught up to the others, her extremely long hair now just falling down straight. "So, what do you say we all introduce ourselves on the way."

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Jack Maroon May 2nd 2012, 4:55 pm

"Pizza? Hell yeah man, I could go for a slice of 'za right now. Specially when you say you're treating bro." Jack said to the fire-guy. Pizza would definitely be nice, especially if his favorite teen idol superhero was going to join, albeit reluctantly. Could be she was playin' the tsundere though, and actually relished the chance to chill with the best. Which Jack definitely was, and you could take his word for that, with him being the number one authority on the matter. Yeah.

Jack looked at the Gengetsu-replica that was still lodged inside the dead thug's head, and again contemplated whether to take it back or let it lie there. He had paid a considerable sum of money, at least for him, in order to get his hands on the item, and hadn't even used it yet....at least not properly.
No, fuck it. He was taking the sword, bloodied or not. The sheath had a nice crimson coating now, and it was no longer a virgin blade. Jack walked up to the dead man and pulled the sword out of his head.

Then the girl dashed off again. Man was she jittery, and she didn't even have super-speed or anything. While she was away, he exchanged a few glances with the other two guys before speaking up again.
"So, sup?" Jack asked as he and the other men started the trek towards the pizzeria.
When Kaguya re-joined the gang, after the guys had already started walking to the pizza place fire-boy had suggested, Jack noticed she had let her hair down. Aight. So she was either gonna play the sultry temptress and discarded her awesome ornaments for that effect, or she had some other stupid reason to take em off. Jack, being the down-to earth fella he was, decided for himself that it was probably the latter.

"Oh yeah, right, introductions. I'm Jack Maroon. I'm pretty much the most awesome dude around." Jack stated plainly. He considered it to be a simple fact, despite the newspapers and media claiming otherwise. Public menace? Self-obsessed homicidal vigilante asshole? Well, they had a point there, but they could all go suck a cock for all he cared. He was awesome, end of discussion.

"So all you guys swordsmen too? I know Miss Moonflower is, but not too sure about you dudes."

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Morning Star May 2nd 2012, 10:05 pm

Lucifer got up and started walking with everyone, they were all in the mood for some pizza, but they probably all wanted pizza because it was his treat. He hoped this wouldn't bite him in the ass later on, but whatever. "The pizza place is only two blocks away, so we don't have far to walk. And yes, they have salad." Lucifer said. One thing that Lucifer found really funny was how he wasn't the only one who wasn't infatuated with this famous heroine. He could tell that the other guys were, it was quite obvious actually.

As they were walking, Moonflower suggested that they all introduce themselves. Before he could introduce himself, the guy who made the first kill introduced himself as Jack Maroon. He seemed to be a pompous asshole, but somehow Lucifer could deal with it, he didn't know why, but he could. "Yeah, I guess you could say that I'm a sword guy." he said with a slight chuckle.

"Well, my name is Morning Star, but you can call me Lucifer." He said while taking off his mask and shaking his blond hair. "I can be a nice person, but I like to joke around. I'm a bit sarcastic I guess heh." He put his mask in the back of his pants. He didn't feel threatened to show his face because he knew it wasn't really that big of a deal. He wasn't that well known anyways, he seemed like some normal kid... who could set an entire building on fire if he wanted to.

"What do you guys want on the pizza by the way? I'm ordering two boxes, as it seems like that'll be enough." He said with a golden smile. He always went to this pizzeria, it was a family owned business, so the people here were very friendly. Plus, he hadn't eaten since breakfast, which was only a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. His stomach let out a slight growl "I guess we're getting close." he said with a chuckle. He put his hands behind his head and looked at the moon, it was such a beautiful night.

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Darren started to walk after them and took his hood down, remembering it was still on his head. When the girl caught up he barely noticed only realizing it when she said to introduce themselves and he nodded listening to the other two guys. "I am totally a swords guy, best damn sword fighter to walk the planet and stuffs, least that's what people told me. Oh, and uh names is Darren, Darren Cross." He said in his Australian accent walking with his hands behind his head and not a care in the world, he was totally awesome and oblivious to the world around him. Though he did notice that Jack Mar-whatever his last name was had an ego just as big as his own or pretty close to it. Well, he really didn't have an ego to be honest he just thought that he was an awesome swords man and proved it every time someone disagreed with him. The fire-guys name at this point was totally missed at went over his head, or in one ear and out the other, so he was stuck on either calling him uncool murderer or fire- guy; and fire guy sounded a lot nicer than the other name. Pizza toppings was the next order of discussion an having really never had pizza at the orphanage, never gotten to steal any on Australia, and only luckily having a piece or two here he thought back to what was on the delicious piece of heart attack with cheese. "Sausage, yea sausage and cheese would be good pizza." He said nodding his head then putting his hands back down by his side moving his head side to side as if listening to music.

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

"Get whatever you want, but I won't eat anything that has meat on it." Kaguya had been a vegetarian all her life, part of the priestess deal from back in her tiny home. She could eat meat now if she really wanted to of course, but no reason to ruin her figure now. "Considering you were at my signing you guys probably know I'm Moonflower. You can call me Ami though. Is it always like this around here? superhumans around every corner I mean? In Japan we just had a few big names. Over here it seems like they're everywhere, and most of them don't actually...you know, use their powers to be heroes." It seemed odd to Kaguya. In her mind, having great powers meant you had the responsibility saddled onto you from birth to use them. Either to serve the people or to change the world. In her naivety she hadn't really given thought to those that existed somewhere between hero and villain.Kaguya couldn't say she envied the lack of purpose. She chalked it up to cultural differences, even though she knew there were people like that all over the world.

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Jack Maroon May 7th 2012, 6:09 pm

Jack grinned when Darren told them he was the world's greatest swordsman, or at least that that's what he had been told. Whoever told him that must've been straight up ignorant about the facts, because that title belonged to Jack Maroon. That and a whole lot of other titles, though that one was one of the few that actually made any sense, and wasn't wholly fabricated by Jack himself as a dumb joke.
He was feeling pretty good right now, having met one of his favorite celebs, and getting to hang out with her and two other hombres on the path of the blade, so Jack decided not to crush the little guy's dreams and let him live in his delusions a little while longer. Now nobody could say Jack Maroon wasn't a humble man. Or at least capable of being one...sort of.

"Well that's just dandy, bro. Rock on."

The fire-guy, whose name was now revealed as 'Morning Star', or 'Lucifer', had taken off his mask to also reveal his visage. Hm'kay. Jack had difficulty making sense of him. He seemed to have some kind of childish air about him that made him seem nearly innocent. The way he introduced himself felt a little awkward, forced, yet betrayed little of his true personality. Unless of course this was all there was to him. Didn't matter to Jack though. So far this Morning Star feller had been chill enough, and who was Jack to disagree with that kind of attitude? And he had proven to have some bloodlust too, having brutally burned one of Moonflower's assailants to death. That move hadn't ranked very high in style in Jack's opinion, but the kid could have potential.

"Alright man, I'm gonna call ya Luke then. Pleasure, dude."

And then the enchanting Moonflower herself; Ami. The lonely flower in this testosterone-laden group of blade-wielding metahuman misfits, and probably the only one to truly consider herself a hero. Jack liked her. She had skill, looks, and knew how to make a show out of nearly anything. It was the apparent simplicity of her morals and ideals however that won him over. She claimed to fight for Justice and 'Good', yet seemed to cherish all the fame and glory that came with the job. Could chalk it up to youthful spirit or whatnot, but it sure as hell wasn't pure altruism. It was a nice conflict of character, a good flaw for a hero to have, Jack thought, and he wondered whether or not she was aware of it herself, or had even considered it.
From her words, Jack deduced that Ami didn't consider him and the others 'real' heroes. That didn't bother him much, but it gave him something to talk about during dinner.

"I'll decide when I've taken a gander at the menu." Jack said in response to Luke's question. Which would be soon, as the company of four had just arrived at Mikey's Pizza Parlor.
Having taken a seat at a nice little table, Jack addressed Ami first, in reaction to what she had just asked outside.

"That depends on what you think it means to be a hero, babe. But you are right though; tons of peepz with superpowers around here. The Big Apple seems to draw them in like flies to a turd for some reason. Which is exactly why I've made the trip here. And why are you here, actually? Japan got too stiff for ya?"

Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren) Empty Re: Moonflower's most excellent American book-signing (Jack and Darren)

Post by Morning Star May 9th 2012, 6:40 pm

Lucifer listened as everyone finished introducing themselves and he found out their names: Darren, Ami, and Jack. They seemed an odd bunch of people, they all had contrasting personalities, but that must have also been the beauty of the group. Lucifer also found out what Darren and Ami wanted on their pizza, Jack was undecided. He wanted to see the menu. As they arrived at the pizza parlor, the group sat down, everyone except for Lucifer that is. He was going to order their pizza, the place smelled like delicious cheese, varying meats, and also other zesty ingredients.

As he awaited for the cashier, he overheard Jack addressing the comment/question made by Ami, it was about superpowers. "Well, a lot of the people in major cities have powers, it's pretty common actually. Not everyone feels the need to protect others though. It varies from person to person of course though." said Lucifer in a matter of fact tone. "By the way, is it okay if I order cheese and sausage, Jack. I know you're undecided, but I'm pretty hungry." said Lucifer as his stomach growled.

As he said that, the cashier came. He was a college kid who was probably the nephew of Mikey and needed to make some money for college, the name on his tag said Dave. He ordered the pizzas and got some bread sticks as well. The pizzas were on their way, so Lucifer to entertain himself by the register. He took 4 plates off of the counter. He took out his phone and went on an internet meme site, he laughed for a couple of minutes, until he heard Dave tap the bell. Lucifer swiped his card and told Dave to tell Mikey that he said hi. He took the plates, pizzas, and bread sticks and walked them over to the table where they were sitting. "Bon appetit!" said Lucifer in a french accent. He gave everyone a plate and took a slice of sausage and then a slice of cheese pizza.

He took a bite into the sausage and his mouth had an orgasm, it was delicious. It might have been the fact that he hadn't eaten all day, but this was some of the best pizza that he had ever eaten.
