Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Virginia Myers
Real Name: Virginia Myers
Super Hero Name: Io (Prounounced 'EE oh')
Title: Bookworm
Alignment: Hero
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race: American
Hair: Light blonde, dyed light green
Eyes: Light green
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 120 lbs.
Costume Description/Image: Virginia wears an almost totally light green outfit, to go with her hair and wings. She wears a green sweater as a top with holes slit in the back for her wings. Overtop the sweater, she wears a much lighter green vest, which is always open, and also has slits in it. Virginia wears black capris with a patterned green skirt and light green stockings. She also wears black fingerless gloves and a pair of aviator's goggles. She wears similarly coloured hoodies and jeans when she is not fighting crime, but also wears a dark green corset to hold her wings back. When she needs her wings, she can telekinetically undo the corset to reveal the wings. The corset also gives her a more femenine shape than she truly has.
Personality: Virginia is a very happy, bubbly person, and never has a negative thought in her mind. Virginia, though so cheerful, is usually left alone by people, for a few reasons. While she is very kind, she has a tendency to flaunt her superior intellect around, which can irritate people. She also rarely makes an effort to get to know people, and is more likely to be seen laughing while reading a book then with friends. Virginia is at the top of her high school class, and never backs down from an intellectual challenge. However, she is very unskilled at fighting, and tries to avoid conflict at all costs.
History: Virginia Carol Myers was born on March 8th, 17 years ago, under her parents, John and Mikayla Myers. She was raised in a small town in Illinois, where she attended a good public school system. At the age of 8, Virginia was classified by the school system as extraordinarily gifted. In fact, Virginia never got anything under an A+ through her school career, other than gym, and would never be found without a book in hand. Through her life, Virginia was always an only child, and never had many friends, due to her detatched nature. In middle school, she dyed her hair green to match her eyes.
One fateful day in the 8th grade, her parents took Virginia to an amusement park, partially to enjoy the park, but mostly because she wanted to see the eclipse that day. Virginia had spent the entire day earlier calculating the precise time to get on the ferris wheel to be the closest to the eclipse, and had it all figured out. The time was quickly approaching, and Virginia was caught in a seemingly endless line. She couldn't miss this moment, so she dashed past the line, pushing her way past people. She had just made it barely, and the ferris wheel lifted. She looked at the sky, and her calculations were perfect. At the peak of the ferris wheel, the moon blocked out the sun. Virginia found herself entranced as the world danced in darkness. Virginia knew the risks, but couldn't look away. Finally, the moon passed away from the sun, and Virginia's eyes felt as though they were on fire.
She woke up in her room later in complete darkness. At first she thought she was blind, so she reached out, only to find herself tightly constricted by some sort of thick substance. Panicking, she begin beating at this wall, and eventually she heard a cracking sound, followed by a crack of light. Virginia tore away at her trap, only to fall down towards the ground. She rubbed her sore back, and found herself brushing against something large and almost feathery. Slowly, Virginia looked behind her, and saw two shriveled green wings attached to her, not unlike moths she had read about. She looked up and saw a cocoon where she had fallen. Virginia's legs went limp, and she attempted to supress a scream, only to release one. Much to her suprise and chagrin, her scream shattered the window in her room.
Several years later, Virginia was sitting in her calculus class, taking a test calmly and cooly. She was used to the feeling of her wings folded under her corset, and nobody ever suspected her secret. Only her parents knew, and they had promised not to tell as long as she was responsible. She was distant enough that she didn't expect anyone to want her for anything that would involve exposing herself. Virginia had perfected the various gifts she had found she had after 'hatching', and had a difficult time not using them in regular life. Just last week, a boy had grabbed her, and as a reaction, she screamed, which sent him flying into a locker. Virginia quickly left school afterwards. Virginia focussed back on her test, and while doing math in her head, she slowly levitated her pencil in front of her. Virginia had developed telekinetic and telpathic powers as well as her new ability to fly, and she exercised them regularly.
Powers: Io shares many attributes with those of a moth. She has two pairs of elegant green wings that enable her to sustain flight, and can be curled up against her body without any damage. Before she gained abilities, she was also classified as a gifted thinker.

It was a crisp cool night, the perfect night for a flight. Virginia sat at her desk, doing her homework, feeling the breeze brush against her face. Well, I'm sure a little break can't hurt, she thought to herself. She put down her pencil and climbed onto the desk, allowing her mind to unravel her uncomfortable corset. She sighed with relief as her beautiful wings unfurled and flexed in the cool breeze. Virginia quickly scrawled a note to her parents that she was off for a 'walk', and leapt out of the window, allowing hew wings to lift her up into the air. There was something about that first plummet that enthralled Virginia, flying towards the ground only to flap her wings and soar upwards. It was a feeling she couldn't compare to anything.
Virginia had been right; she couldn't have picked a better night to fly. She flew low for a spell, watching the cars go by and waving, knowing they couldn't see her. She flapped her wings faster and angled her body so she gained altitude. Virginia had no idea what gave her these wings, or what enabled her to use them, but she could, and she couldn't imagine anything better in the world.
That's when Virginia found herself plummeting from the air, pain shooting from her shoulder. She felt tears running down her face as she was unable to get her wings flapping. She clutched her shoulder and felt blood running from it. She took a deep breath and opened her wings like a chute to try and lower her speed down. Luckily for her, it worked, and she landed on the ground, if lacking a little grace. She tumbled after landing, and she was so glad her wings were as durable as they were.
Virginia managed to pick herself up off the ground and wipe the tears from her eyes. Her arm was still bleeding, and she had no clue what had happened. She looked around as she heard the sound of footsteps approaching her. On all sides, several men who were armed with various pipes and pistols surrounded her. They must have seen her, and Virginia kicked herself mentally. This is exactly what her parents kept warning her about! One of the hooligans stepped forward and spoke to her in a dim voice.
'Yo, little miss fly! Hows about you give us your money, then do us a little dance, eh?' he pointed his pistol towards her in a threatening motion. He made a motion towards her, and Virginia, in a fit of rage, released one of her high-pitched screams. She watched everyone cover their ears and the one who had spoken towards her go flying off into a nearby brick wall, dropping his weapon and falling to the ground.
Just like that, the ruffians were after her. Virginia rushed towards the fallen man's gun, hoping to intimidate them. Someone swung a wrench at her, and she impromptu ducked like lightning and jumped back up, grabbing his arm and sinking her teeth into it. The man screamed as he dropped his weapon and shoved Virginia to the ground. With a thud, she smacked the ground and felt dazed. The man she had flung off earlier now approached once more, cut and scraped, and most angry.
'Well well, looks like our new little girl friend likes to play things rough, doesn't she?' the man pulled out a switchblade and grabbed one of her beautiful wings. 'Well, two can play at that game, you know,' As he reached down to sever her wing, Virginia stopped thinking for once, and simply let her mind go as she cried, waiting for the pain. When it didn't come, she opened her eyes and looked around to see all the thugs knocked out around her. She didn't know what happened, but it was a miracle.
Virginia also noticed the lights in several buildings pop on from the sound of the fight. She picked herself up and stretched out her wings. She ran towards the nearest building, all the while covering her wounded shoulder, and kicked off it, thrusting herself into the air. Virginia fluttered to the top of the nearest building, and realized that she had just taken care of a criminal gang of sorts. 'I... I'm a superhero!' she shouted from her lofty point. But... I need a name, she thought to herself. Virginia thought back to her entomological studies. Io, Io, that's perfect

Re: Virginia Myers
Two things.
You'll have to get rid of your telekenitic and telepathic abilities since you don't have the points for them.
And what do you mean by under radarness?

Re: Virginia Myers
Oh no! DX I completely forgot to erase that from the description. Under the radarness, as in she reflects radar and sonar from her body due to her wings, like certain species of moths.
