Personality:
Anya Crane is a quiet, serious person by nature. She can be seen as cold, but does honestly care about her allies. She is extremely loyal to her cause and to her friends. Anya is a trusting person as well, and tries to see the good in people whenever she can. Due to her devotion to protecting the innocent, she seems to keep a lonely life watching over people from building tops.
History:
Anya Crane was born in WIndyville, Kentucky to John and Natasha Crane. She is the third child out of five with two older brothers, one younger brother, and one younger sister. Her first and only real friend in her childhood, because she preferred to keep to herself, was a girl her age named Elizabeth Winthrop. Elizabeth accepted her without question, even when Anya discovered her powers at age twelve. Elizabeth even gave her the name "Blackstar" when Anya told her she was thinking of dying her red hair black. One day while being bullied, Anya's powers went out of control and she set fire to a nearby building, unaware that her friend was in that building. Elizabeth was severely burned and died a few days later from her wounds. This sent Anya into a bitter rage that lasted about five years.
Angered by Elizabeth's death, she turned to being a criminal in an attempt to find happiness. For five years she worked as one, until she was apprehended and sent to prison. When she was released on good behavior, she turned her life around. She joined the fight for justice and can't imagine ever going back.

Powers: Anya has the ability to shoot energy from her hands, in beams or disks. These energy blast are bright green and can cause explosions (though the size of the explosion depends on how much energy is given) and fires. Generally the fires put themselves out and are rarely very large. She can shoot energy through her eyes too, but this takes some more effort. When she shoots through her hands, her eyes go completely green. She can't fly, but can leap across buildings with surprising speed and agility and is with good hand to hand combat.

Anya Crane quietly left her stuffy apartment to get some fresh air. The gentle breeze rolled down her back and played with her shoulder length red hair. Sighing, the girl tilt her head back to catch as much wind as she could. When she was satisfied, she jogged to a nearby alley. About one minute and a half later, she left donning her trademark black and green top with the star, her tights, and dyed black hair with green extensions. She scaled the building to the very top and crouched to peer down. All seemed clear for now. Blackstar rocked back on her heels and heaved another sigh. The silence meant nothing. Soon, another villian would wreak havoc.
