Personality: While quiet at work, Brook has no end of personality outside those walls. Loud and boisterous, all about having the fun she never had as a child. Always looking for trouble and deciding on the spot whether to egg them on or stop them.

History: Orphaned at 7 when her parents drowned on a boating trip (Making her afraid of water), Brook was adopted by Richard Castell, a high-powered buisiness exec at a large oil company who, while never using his hands to do so, showed no mercy in raising her. Meticulous training in Aikido and the use of a quarterstaff for discipline, as well as technology and manufacturing, Castell's intent to use Brook as an unassuming bodyguard and, eventually, the heir to his fortune, kept Brook from having many normal childhood activities.

When Brook was 17, she was allowed to attend a party that the child of a coworker had thrown. However, when she arrived it turned out that the other teens were the cocky, popular type that, being homeschooled, she had never learned to distrust. When they teased her and poked fun at her glasses and conservative clothes, she thought it was the worst they would do. Then they picked her up and, ignoring her struggles and screams, threw her in the ten-foot-deep pool. She thought, in the slow-motion her mind created before she hit the water, that she was going to drown, having never learned to swim. It seemed like forever before she opened her eyes, wondering why she hadn't hit the water yet, and when she did, the chlorine of the pool didn't sting her eyes. In fact, she wasn't wet at all. She was sitting on the bottom of the pool, in a bubble!

When she got home that day, her outlook had changed. She was no longer willing to stand by and have her life dictated to her by Castell, and practiced her new-found power every day until her eighteenth birthday. Still wanting to do some good in the world, she decided to stay on at the company, but convinced Castell to let her work her way up. He saw it as a way to control her even more, and she saw it as a way to keep her options open. Pleased as he was, he even allowed her to move out, buying her a small house and a car. And so her new life began and she started to realize she could have some fun for once, donning the facade of Cascade and staying out during nights when Castell thought she was doing paperwork and looking for trouble. Usually she finds it.

Powers: Hydrokinesis. Can manipulate any water(up to a volume of 50 gallons) in her immediate surroundings, as well as control it's temperature in a range of 30-75 degrees Fahrenheit.

Roleplay Sample: Walking out of the office later than usual, Brook pondered over the days events. She was glad no one had noticed her concentrating on the glass of water that had inexplicably spilled on the woman who tormented her at work, who she was pretty sure only tormented her because she was the heir of the company, and the woman was just another gold digger out to get her hands on Castell's money. The water was a small revenge. Brook was satisfied with it, for the moment. Cascade was hoping to meet her on the streets one night. As Brook walked into her small house a few blocks from the office, she set down her belongings and enjoyed a moment of blissful freedom for a moment. Sure, she was still under Castell's thumb, but that could change whenever she wanted it to. Probably soon. She started to undress and change into her more comfortable, versatile costume as Cascade. She wondered what new and exciting things she might do tonight, and who she might meet.
