Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Personality: Silent but friendly, Nick is a pretty simple guy who takes joy in simply relaxing and chilling with his friends. He enjoys peace and quiet but is not afraid of cutting lose here and there to mix it up a little. He was raised Christian, and formed his own understanding of God. He values the ten commandments but finds himself constantly in conflict with his faith and what he feels he should do in certain situations.
History:
Born and raised in the small town of Toptown, Paul lived a relatively normal life with normal parents who worked on an average sized farm. However, as young as five Paul knew his parents kept secrets from him and were trying to hide something from him. He could never find out what that was, and decided that it was for the best that their secret be kept that way.
At the age of ten, Paul started playing baseball for his school and through out his school life he was the star player. He was the high schools best batter, scoring home runs every time he hit the ball and he hardly ever missed. Tension between the schools teams brought tension between the schools student body. That tension soon formed into hate, and that hate turned into verbal insults. It was only a matter of time before things got worst.
His rebellion stage hit him hard, he wanted to experience life outside the care of his parents. His freshman year of high school was his rise to popularity, he went to parties experimenting with drugs and alcohol. After a wild party in celebration of them winning the championship against their biggest rivals, Paul was walking home and a truck full of his friends pulled up.
It turned out the rival school had crashed the party and in a wild, alcohol induced riot started a huge brawl. The party was in the middle of no where, and they wanted Paul to join them in the 'battle'. Paul agreed, uncertain as to what was going to happen. They drove to the chaos around the old abandoned farm. His friends charged right in, but Paul watched as the violence continued to escalate.
It was when he heard a woman crying out for help that he snapped out of his watchful stare. He had to do something, and his feet took over leading him towards the fighting. The woman who had screamed was about to be bludgeoned by a baseball bat. Paul tackled the guy to the ground and with a few punches to the guys face he was unconscious. The fight continued on, and eventually the rivaling students retreated having done their damage.
Paul only fought to protect the people who couldn't protect themselves, and returned home in a lot of pain. His parents scolded him, sent him to counseling with their pastor but they were mostly worried about whether or not he experienced anything strange while fighting. Thinking back to the fight, he did to exceptionally well for somebody who never though before, and sometimes he swore he was hit but didn't feel hit. He hid those details from his parents though.
Shortly afterwards his rebellion stage ended, the big fight having made him realize the dark path he was traveling down. Though, he no longer blindly followed his pastors words and began forging his own understanding of God through prayer as well as reading his bible and meditating. It was during his meditation that he finally discovered the secret his parents were keeping from him.
It started out simply, forming small and nearly invisible force fields around small points on his body but as he grew older his powers grew stronger. He deduced that the more he used his powers the more powerful they would become. The more he practiced his power, the more powerful he became with it. He could cover his entire body, and not receive harm from things such as punches or blunt objects. Later on, he learned that he could actually bounce things off himself. Then, he could extend his power into objects he was holding, like his baseball bat or a golf club.
He was rather proud of his ability, and kept it his own secret until he was better at it. However, his powers would come to use one day when he was seventeen and leaving the towns movie theater. A group of four rival students decided to raise some drunken hell down town and made their way down an alley that a young woman who detoured down that way when walking home from work at the dinner. Drunk and horny, the men subdued her and made an attempt to violate her.
She managed to call out for help once as they were tearing at her clothing. Paul heard the cry and like at the big fight found himself running to the rescue. The man directly on top of the girl who was covering her mouth was his first target, the man was kneeled down and made it easy for Paul to land a swift kick to the mans jaw. The three other students quickly ran to subdue Paul, running him up against a wall and two held him pinned as the other start pummeling him in the stomach and face.
He was unable to focus, and felt the guilt of failure overcome him as his body thrived in pain. Suddenly, the girl yelled at them to leave him alone, which was a very courageous thing for her to say but futile words against the drunks but her words of concern made Paul feel weak and helpless. Paul refused to be the one needing rescue, he wanted to help the woman and stop those men. The drunk went for a swift punch to the stomach but felt it smash against Paul's' force field.
His fist made a cracking noise as the drunk recoiled in pain. Forming a full body force field around himself Paul managed to bounce the others off him. Paul proceeded to fight off the four drunks who eventually retreated. Afterwards, Paul escorted the woman to her home and then returned home.
His parents were about to scold him for getting into another fight but he cut them off asking them where he got his powers from. His father was reluctant to say anything, but his mother opened up and explained to him the details. While she was pregnant, she suddenly disappeared and was gone for three months. At the end of those three months, her husband simply woke up with her sleeping next to him with a baby curled in her arms. She had no memory of what happened except for a bright light. Even stranger was that she gave birth to Paul three months early but he was perfectly healthy.
As a baby, he apparently used his powers wildly and they couldn't control him. They brought him to a laboratory where they managed to find a way to suppress his powers. However, due to their lack of knowledge they had no idea that they would manifest again. They didn't want Paul to feel like an outcast, and begged for him to forgive them. Paul did, realizing they did what they felt they had to do.
Paul didn't want to be a hero, and decided he would try to live a normal life. He attended a trade school for four years and earned a Mechatronics degree. He was a good student, and soon got a job as a Electrical mechanical technician for a machine manufacturing company which made manufacturing machines for manufacturing companies across the globe. His job was to help install the machines and troubleshoot them if they ever had problems running.
His occupation required him to move around a lot, so he lives in a camper he tows with his Diesel Ford F-250. Despite his attempt at a normal life, he couldn't help but intervene when people were in danger. He became a small, part-time hero doing what he could. Pulling people out of fires, stopping grocery store robbers, but it wasn't until there was a big bank robbery in Texas that he earned his superhero name.
It was a heavily armed robbery, and Paul found himself stuck in traffic making him late for that days work. The robbers were trapped inside, and were holding the people hostage laying down heavy fire on the barricade of police. A lot of people were getting injured and this compelled Paul to intervene.
Running as fast as he could, he pushed his way through the police barricade and past the squad cars which were their only line of cover. The men opened fire on him, but Paul already had his force field on making the bullets simply bounce off him. It was the first time he had been shot at, and he wasn't entirely sure if it would work. Ever punch he threw sent the men flying unconscious.
They turned their attention from the hostages to him, and he managed to beat the men up. The police stormed in afterwards and there was a lot of cheering going on outside. One of the hostages described the fight, and described Paul's power as some sort of 'Field'. The press blew it up, as they do when a new hero arrives, and decided to name him Field.
It was unavoidable, Paul was given the powers for a reason and he believed that they were given to him to help people. The thought crossed his mind that God had given him the power, but he knew that wasn't true. God had a plan, but it didn't involve giving a farmers son super powers. This had to be something else, possibly alien, or even something controlled by the government.
Paul took self defense classes to learn how to fight better, and worked on strengthening his powers even further. Pretty soon, he could flip old cars in a junkyard by tackling them or punching them. He even found a way to bounce himself off the ground to travel faster while on foot.
Powers: Force Field: Paul can form a force field around himself or anything he is touching which can repel solid matter and energy. The largest object he can surround with his force field is a small vehicle (Car). The Force Field can also be shattered by attacks greater than or equal to that of the EP level of Paul. The power can only be sustained constantly for 4 posts before requiring 2 post to recharge. However, if the power is used on and off the amount of time until needing recharge will reset.

The sky poured ice rain across the North East coast, Paul was traveling from Vermont to Pennsylvania after having helping install a machine for a deck board manufacturer. He was due in South Carolina in three days but with the weather the way it was he wasn't sure if he could make it with all the stops. Having confidence in his truck, he tried to works his way through the weather that day in order to make up for lost time.
While driving he could see somebody was stuck in a ditch and obviously in distress. Paul couldn't just drive past, and decided to stop. Slipping his rain coat on he made his way over to the wreckage. Things were worse than he thought when beneath the car that was half on the road and half on a car which was already in the ditch. By the look of things, there was a collision and both drivers were unconscious.
Taking out his cell phone, Paul dialed 9-11. "...Yes, heading South on two-twenty-two, mile marker forty-five my phones GPS is active, and you have full permission to track it." Paul headed down to the wreckage, driver of the top car was awake and was panicking. Paul managed to calm the lady down and lead her to his trailer were it was warm. "Make yourself at home, their is help on the way. I need to go check on the other passenger."
Flipped the hood of his coat over his head, he jogged back into the cold and down the steep slope to the other car. The driver was an unconscious male and there were two children in the back huddled together. "It's going to be ok, I'll get you out of there" Paul assured them, examining the damage to the car.
The doors wear pinned by the top car, and made it impossible to open them. The glass was shattered so the children were able to climb up and out with Paul's assistance. He lead them to his trailer and asked the lady to watch over them as he got their father out. His disposition was a bit more tricky, the car was resting right on top and blocked the window.
Paul made his way to the windshield, and punched it making it shatter. He then pulled out his pocket knife and cut the seat belt so he could pull the man out. He extended his field around the man before dragging him up the hill. He slipped a lot and nearly lost it but he managed to hold on long enough to pull him up onto the road. Several minutes later, and ambulance arrived picking up everyone involved in the crash.
Paul spoke to the police, and after a few cups of coffee in the trailer he was allowed to leave. He lost a lot of time helping those people out, but felt real good about what he had done. He thanked God silently that those people weren't hurt severally and went on his way.
