It Seems Like A Nice Day

Even though Millenia lived so close to the city, she did not always enjoy the constant noise and commotion there since she had to make a commute into the city nearly every day for work. She felt today was a day to relax, drink some tea and maybe even go for a walk. There was a nice park nearby her condo complex and thought it would be a nice day for such. It was not exactly warm, but it did not require heavy clothes to keep her warm. She slipped on her platform sandals grabbed her trusty umbrella and set out. Prior to leaving she brewed herself up a pot of green tea and left it in a thermos, she also packed a few tea cups. Ones without handles, because if the cup was too hot to touch then the tea was too hot to drink.
Millenia arrived at the park and left her car some distance away. It seemed to be a rather busy day for the park. There were people out with their kids, walking their dogs having picnics. It seemed like such a classic suburban day, the ones you read about or see in movies. Millenia found a bench, brought out her tea and poured herself cup. She sat it next to her as she set up her umbrella in a position to shade her from the sun. Because her umbrella was also a weapon, she almost felt bad bringing it to such a nice environment. But it was close to her, and there was nothing happening so everything would be fine. There was a slight gust of wind every so often that caused Millenia to have to catch or readjust her umbrella since it was being moved by the wind. After a few times of her having to fix it she simply folded it up and set it behind her. Millenia let out a sigh of comfort while she sat and watched while sipping her tea...

An explosion rocked the street, the sounds of screams and shattering glass cutting through the peace of the day like a hot blade through butter. The explosion blew out the windows of the bank, in fact there was quite a large whole where the entrance to the bank used to be. "Finally putting these things to work!" Gauntlet shouted from across the street with a mischievous grin. He started to slowly walk across the street, a ball of energy still in his right hand. A taxi skidding towards him right in the middle of the street, unable to stop, Gauntlet used the ball of energy in his right hand to blow it sky high, stopping it dead in his tracks. "Didn't anyone tell you civilians had the right-of-way?" He laughed with a smirk. Finally across the street he walked through the nice big whole he had made in the bank entrance. "Everybody down!" he yelled as he held both his hands up, palms growing with energy. He shot one ball of energy into the ceiling scorching it and allowing small debris to fall on the unsuspecting customers and employees.

Gauntlet then smiled once satisfied that no one was going to try and stop him, he approached the main desk, a cute bank clerk was cowering behind it trying not to be seen by him. He rang the little desk bell which made a satisfying ding. The clerk still didn't move.
"Excuse me!" he yelled.
"Ye- Yes... Yes?" The clerk stuttered absolutely terrified.
"I'd like to make a withdrawal..." Gauntlet smiled winking at the clerk.
"Ho- how m-much s-sir?" she managed to whisper.
"All of it..." there was a long pause while he stared at her. "AS IN NOW!" He yelled leaning in towards the Clerk behind the counter as he heard the distant sound of police sirens.

Whilst sitting peacefully in the park, Millean heard explosions off in the distance and could see the smoke rising from what looked to be the center of town. She could see the panic in the faces of the other people in the park as their day was cut short by some terrorist attack. Millenia gulped down the rest of her tea and placed everything in her bag, she grabbed her umbrella and left the park with he rest of the crowd, however instead of heading home she drove straight to where the scene was happening. The roads coming the opposite way were crowded with cars trying to get back home, but with something that looked this bad it did not seem like home would be safe either.
Once she made it to the town, she could see that the police were trying to handle the situation but were not doing too much. She parked her car far off the scene and started to head towards the action. Millenia put her umbrella where it would cover her head and most people looking directly at her would only be able to see the bottom half of her face. As she got closer to the police barricade, the authorities began to ask her to back off, with phrases such as This is a police scene ma'm, I am going to have to ask you to leave or This is very dangerous please retreat at once ma'm and her favorite one This is a crime in progress and is no place for a lady. This fool did make the mistake of reaching out in front of her to stop her. Millenia stopped right before his hand, but without the slightest indication of motion she activated La Presion Oscuro De Murcielago. The police office flinched and drew his arm back immediately feeling the pressure from her in the air. Millenia kept the pressure on as she pushed aside the caution tape and wooden barricade as she came up to the bank, as the robber and the hostages came into view, they would also start feeling this pressure. She walked through the entrance, or lack there of, to see some innocent civilians paralyzed with fear and a purple haired man yelling at the poor bank teller to give him their money.
"I do suggest you leave this situation at once, otherwise I shall not hesitate to use force.
Millenia kept her umbrella up but low enough to the point where this intruder could only see her mouth. She spoke in a powerful tone and as her sentence finished off, the pressure she was exerting died down. Millenia could see that it was starting to have adverse effects to the hostages. Because it was a nice day, she was giving this thief a chance to just drop it and leave. But from what she's seen and read, that never happens so she was ready to make this man pay.

Gauntlet's smirk turned into something more sinister, something more like a sneer. He turned, placing his feet carefully, slowly, and deliberately as he turned glaring at this new stranger. Both of his gauntlets started to glow white with energy through the crystal palms of the metal gauntlets. He held his hand up towards this new stranger, glowing menacingly with energy. "This is no place for a lady, I'd suggest you leave." He snarled intimidatingly "I don't want to have to hurt you."

He placed his feet farther from each other, a readied stance, his palm still up, his eyes and gauntlets still glowing with Thermal-Energy. "Ready for anything" he thought, "She's different, anyone else would have fled by now."

"I see... Everyone, you are free to go. There are police officers outside who will take care of you and escort you back to your homes." Millenia was completely bypassing this strangers authority on the situation by letting his hostages go free. They at first hesitated, but she then reassured them that he will not be causing them any further harm. After the people had quickly made their way out of the building, Millenia folded up her umbrella and brought it to her side and pulled her sword out of it just enough so that the mediocre thief could see it.
"No place for a lady? Then might I ask why such a child has decided to take it up to himself to rob a bank? I would say this is no place for a little boy..."
Millenia wanted him to strike first, she could already tell from the damage done to the bank already that he had abilities and they had to do with heat one way or another due to the scorch marks around the entrance. Though she was not the most skilled of fighters in close combat, her first move was to always cause her opponent to underestimate her, that way she could show her true abilities and catch them off guard giving her the upper hand. But if she could handle him without using her abilities, then he would be no major threat to society.

Gauntlet glared more intensely at the stranger. He felt then energy pulse from his shoulder and flow to his arm, on The verge of pouncing like a cornered animal. "Little boy?! I'll show her just what this little boy can do." he thought angrily.
He felt a ball of energy welling up in his hand, searing hot, he felt powerful as he pointed his arm at this new stranger. "Listen lady, I've been having a really great day up until now. Have you seen this weather?" He cackled grinning at his own words. "Now I don't really enjoy having such a nice day ruined. SO last chance lady, don't be a hero." He stood in a stance ready for action, energy glowing from his palms, his eyes glowing white instead of their usual Silver.

"I could say the same. I was enjoying a cup of tea in the park, and now I'm here playing daycare. I would like to finish this up quickly so that I may return to my relaxing as soon as possible."
The energy she saw glowing in his hand was rather interesting, he seemed to posses a form of energy manipulation. Seeing how the entrance had been blown out it was probably thermal kinetic energy. And with how he was taking the situation it did not seem like Millenia could get in close enough to land a hit with her sword, but she figured she would try anyways. She drew her sword out from her umbrella with her right hand and pointed it directly at the purple haired fiend while keeping the umbrella part of the weapon down at her side in her left hand. She began to walk slowly towards him.
"If you care to, I would prefer to settle this like civilized individuals. We need not blow anything else up or cause anyone any harm. So lower your 'weapon', and I will do the same. Then we can carry on with our day as if nothing ever happened..."
Though I can't say that the police will abide by the same rules... she thought after she finished the sentence. Her steps slowed to a stop, she was at a distance where she could still dodge something if needed, but close enough where she could throw something with a decent amount of accuracy.

Gauntlet paused there was a silence, something peaceful about the air in room, everyone seemed to stand still for a moment. He closed his eyes, not moving his arm from his threatening position, but letting his muscles relax slightly. His eyes opened, but now they glowed with a bright white. His expression tensed as everything came back into focus.

He observed the new stranger holding her sword pointed at him, he knew she could handle herself, she was no longer just 'some lady' but she still looked like a threat to him. He gave her a chance, and threats must be eliminated. He saw the glint of the light from his gauntlet on the polished blade of her sword.

Finally he sneered at the new stranger his teeth gritted. "Sorry lady, I gave you your last chance. I'll show you civilized" He took one step back quickly with his left foot. He rapidly fired two discs of glowing white energy at his opponent, his arms recoiling slightly as he fired.

Millenia gave a smirk It's about time... she thought as the disks of energy were launched at her. She tucked her umbrella in her obi and ran forward towards the disks, one she ducked to avoid and the other she let collide with her sword to the right of her and almost expected to cut through it. She was pushing against it with both her hands while keeping an eye on her opponent, but her eyes widened and quickly looked at her sword when she heard a cracking noise. Her sword was being torn through by this kid's attack, Millena jumped to the left and let go of her sword right as it shattered. She looked at the remains of it on the floor and then glared at the purple haired individual. Millenia stoop up straight and dusted off her nice kimono and pulled her umbrella back out.
"Okay, not bad..." she said as she opened up her umbrella."I see I may have to be a little more serious here..." Millenia then tossed her umbrella up in the air, aiming to draw her opponents attention to it even for just a second. She then quickly put her hands out, charged and fired her Cero attack. The attack would have fired right when the umbrella fell between the line of vision between the two. Unfortunately for Millenia the umbrella would get incinerated in the blast, though she was unsure of how much damage it would do to her opponent, but since used the least condensed version of the attack it would be a good starting point for this kid's fighting abilities.

Gauntlet smiled as he saw the shards of what used to be a sword fly across the room, the light of the sun outside glimmering on the sharp edges of what used to be a sword. He watched as the hilt of her sword hit the floor with a clatter. He made a mistake, he lost his guard distracted by the sword's destruction in the small room. Suddenly a red glimmer in the upper corner of his eye.

Gauntlet's reaction time allowed him to see the umbrella fall half way to the ground and see his opponent make a sudden flutter of her hands but with the umbrella between him and his opponent didn't allow him to quite know what it was. Instinctively he blasted the umbrella out of mid-air, seeing it as a possible threat from this new hero. His ball of fired energy hit the umbrella, only in time for him to see another form of energy flying through the air straight at him.

Recovering from the recoil of his blast he had no time to successfully dodge this new blast of energy from his opponent. He felt the energy hit him and knock him off his feet, fortunately the blast wasn't as powerful as he had braced himself for and he managed to turn his fall to his advantage.
Gauntlet caught himself about a forearm's height from the ground, his elbow bent so he could recoil up on his left arm and rolled a 360 to the right, firing another two energy discs at his opponent as he jumped back to his feet, ready for a fight.

Millenia rolled her eyes when she saw the repeat attack, if it did not work the first time it would not work a second. She prepared a transparent energy shield in her hands, Millenia spun around the first disk to avoid it and met the second with the shield which she used to angle the opposing attack away from her after which she pulled her hands apart causing the shield to shatter like glass. Though even after that one disk attack the defense would not have been able to hold up to much more.
Millenia extended her right hand with her palm aimed at the purple hair individual and as added support she grabbed onto her arm with her left hand.
"Cientos De Paso Ferroviario Parch."
A large hexagonal rod formed in front of her hand and then shot straight at her opponent looking to impale him, however half way to its destination it dissolved into hundreds of smaller rods that continued forward trying to impale him and hold him down on the nearest surface rendering him near immobile.

Gauntlet was ready for the original hexagon flying at him horizontally, what he wasn't prepared for however was for it to split into all those annoying little flying things, having skidded to the left to avoid the original unbroken attack Gauntlet was only partially out of the way when the new dart like objects hit him.

He felt it push him backwards, his feet skidding along the ground as he moved and felt the left side of his body get pinned against the wall behind him. He was unable to move his left arm and was essentially pinned against the bank wall with only his right arm free. "Damn it let me go!" he yelled angrily.

Millenia gave a smirk when she saw that her attack had successfully restrained the kid. She began to walk slowly towards him, she was gathering ideas in her head as to what to do with him. Millenia did not plan on killing him, no she didn't have the heart, or lack there of, to do such a thing. But she would not mind scaring him a bit. When she finally reached him she took her left and and used it to push up his chin.
"Is is such a shame that you had to go through all of this just to get beat up by a girl. Quite the shame though really, I'm sure you would have grown to be a successful super villain of some sort..."
She leaned in a little closer and then brought up her right hand pointer her index and middle fingers at the boy's face.
"However, you ruined the day of the wrong person..." a black orb of energy began to charge at the tips of her fingers on her right hand. It looked like she was going to shoot this beam off a point blank range, and with her power this would blow the kids head off.
As the beam continued to charge her face molded into a sadistic grin, playing the part and making it look all the more convincing. But then, right at the last second the orb of black energy evaporated and the rods holding him im place vanished. Without saying a word, Millenia turned and headed for the exit hoping with that scare he had learned his lesson.
