Weight: 120 lbs

Costume Description/Image: She is garbed in a semi-formal gown consisting of leaves, bark and vine. Her ordinary clothes are replaced magically whenever she turns into the Sylph. Her face is concealed partially by a fancy mask made of leaves.

Personality:
She has a split personality, Mary and the Sylph.
Mary is basically has a sweet, charming, and naive air about her, not to mention inhumanly clumsy. She is also soft-spoken and submissive, preferring to keep her head down in the presence of a fiercer or stronger personality. However, being of a latina heritage, she does possess that infamous temper, and it's easy to tell when she's getting angry, because she starts spouting more spanish than english, though it is very rare to see her angry, due to her easily-subdued nature.
The Sylph is more complex in some ways. She is playful, elusive, and cheery, with a very kindly nature. She speaks in a musical, undecipherable language, but it is supposedly instrumental in healing. She is frightened off easily by aggression aimed at her, and would take flight to escape. When surprised, she speaks excitedly in her unknown language, often including Mary's name in it, albeit in a translated format, Miria.
Both personalities are aware of each others presence and seem to co-exist peacefully within the girl, taking turns to share the body.

History:
Mary was born into a fairly privileged middle-class family. From a very young age, she demonstrated a keen mind and high levels of intelligence beyond any of her peers. Because of her great brilliance, the young girl was often at odds with other children as they couldn't understand her, just as she couldn't understand them, matured beyond her age. As a result, she became a victim of bullying and was often picked on and shunned by others for being different. She was eventually taken from her school and after some tests, and her IQ was found to be almost off the charts. By the age of twelve, she had already graduated from college. Showing exceptional talent in science and technology, Mary was recruited to work under the influential Nymph Labs, an enviromentally-friendly corporation of scientists. Her work and discoveries flourished, impressing her much older colleagues, as well as earning jealousy from some of them.

It was during this time that the spirit of the Sylph, lacking a host, sought out a suitable human bearer, as she has always done for eons. While conducting some experiments on a new energy source, Mary stayed alone in the lab when thieves broke in, looking to steal some valuable equipment. Mary encounters the thieves, who were all masked. Due to her clumsiness, Mary was not able to get far before the thieves caught and beat her unconscious. Near death, the Sylph approaches and heals the girl, before merging with her, and becoming one. When Mary awoke, she was aware of a presence within her, but the spirit being was able to reassure the girl, despite the linguistic difference of the two. The thieves were eventually caught, thanks to the Sylph being able to identify the perpetrators. As she came to terms with having an extra resident within her own body, Mary became aware of the existense of other superhumans. Thinking that she would be a great help to them, she sought to make contact, hoping to establish a connection with a team of heroes whom she can assist by providing intel, gadgets, and healing.

Powers:
Healing (others) - Sylph can heal a serious injury on a person in just a few minutes, leaving not even a scar behind.
Sacrificial revival - If she so chooses, Sylph can revive a recently fallen person, at the cost of her own life.
Shapeshifting - She can change her shape, mainly into a small tree or a small animal.
Regrowth (Nature) - In close proximity to her, the Sylph can accelerate the growth of flora and revive fauna, even from death.
Sunlight - Mary can generate light from her body. It can be used to surprise people, temporarily blinding them to enable escape if necessary. This power is rendered ineffective by sunglasses.
Superklutz - As Mary, she is so clumsy, it is a superhuman power, it has to be!

Player's Note: I think I should state very clearly that Mary/Sylph cannot be considered a superheroine in the strictest terms since she does not fight the bad guys physically...at all, and she will die if forced into close combat with an enemy who wants to kill her. I have set her Power Grid with these stats with the full knowledge of how my character is limited and weakened as well as the kind of RP I will be limited to. I also accept full responsibility for the setting, and will live, or die according to this choice. I have set her under the hero flag more because of her morals than anything else. Once again, I acknowledge, that with the stats above, she cannot function alone, and is entirely (by purpose of the player) dependent on other heroes to protect her while she in turn sustains them in or out of combat with healing as the Sylph and with fancy gadgets as Mary. I suppose the best type of character Mary/Sylph can be considered to be is Player-Controlled Assistant. I will have to team up right from the start with another hero, one who can fight and is in need of a healer, or maybe, if possible, a team of heroes who could use a Healer/Gadget-maker.

OK, you're gonna have split your EP or use a 2nd EP bar to heal others and use blinding light. I'm not sure what the light would be EP wise, but seeing you have high INT, can make a gadget for that. Also, 1 FS is generally a very bad idea, I'd put at least 2 seeing as you have some points to spare.

I would hope that it would cost one or two EP at the most. But since I want to reserve that completely for Healing, and I was considering adding the ability to regrow nature, but that might be a bit much. And since you mentioned the option for gadgets, I might use that for defensive purposes. Brains versus brawn. Lastly, I didn't add any extra to my physicals or combat skills simply because it's keeping in line with her character. Mary's a pacifist, to an extreme degree, she won't fight back, and never ever learnt how to. The likelyhood of her hitting someone is as likely as flying pigs.

And I know people here frown on 1 FS, but it's a step up from 0, which was my original setting. I could always use some gadgets to protect myself or cover an escape whenever necessary. She wasn't created to be out in the field fighting. I think she's best used in a facility or a team, where she makes stuff and heals the injured, but stays out of the battles.

With 1 FS she can't react well enough to help other people.

Sunlight and Healing and Healing Others are different powers so that is three powers split from 6 EP.

As I said before, if you have 1 FS and 1 SPD, you can't really do much except stand there and look pretty. Escaping would be difficult because you can't move fast enough and with 1 FS, you can sneak off well enough.

If I add 1 more to my FS and add flight to my powers, which would cost 2 more points, and I remove the ability to generate sunlight and self-healing, would that be sufficient? It looks like the only issue people have with my character is her FS.

Even with flying your grid adds up to twenty, so you have 2 more points to spend. If you want to have 1 FS and heal other heroes that is entirely fine by me. As for the two points, I may have overlooked something, but it looks like you have a little room to spare.

Well I cerntainly want to be able to help other heroes. To ensure that they can continue to get up and fight after taking a big beating, so maybe I'm not such a pacifist if I'm helping fighters, even if I don't fight myself.

There, I've added some changes, is this somewhat better?
