Things That Go Bump In The Night

Dana walked calmly through the cool New York streets, people would generally think the streets would be less crowded at this time, but there was little difference in the number of people walking the street, just the kind of people where different. She had already had to throw several lecherous men across the street for groping her like she was thier personal toy. she was resenting the fact that they thought she was a whore or something due to her skin tight black suit. She had her regular denim jacket and short shorts on over it aswell as her favorite white cowboy hat. she continued down the street avoiding as many perverts as she could while keeping an eye out for her target, she was hunting a vampire. Something that until recently she didn't know existed. Stiffling a yawn and changing the song on the I-pod she was listening to she pulled out a Crunch Bar and shredded the paper, taking a huge satisfying bite out of it before scanning the area for anything suspicious. How she would ever find one bloody person in this hellhole city she had no idea, but it was her job and she'd lose good credit if she didn't do it. She sighed wearily her life sucked like hell right now, she thought about just pulling out the music and letting her spirited self take over but then she'd likely forget what she came here for so she dropped to the ground, and brung the duffel bag she was carrying into her lap. Opening it she took stock of her weaponry wondering if she had bothered to pack enough, who knew she would find out sooner or later.

The New York Vampire smirks as he walks down through a back ally silently stalking a girl he had seen walking around as if lost. He strides up to her and grabs her by her neck ripping it open before devoring her of her blood, draining the girl dry of her blood. He lets her body fall to the ground licking his lips and smiling at her dead face before leaning down and lighting her body on fire. He smirks and grins sprinting off down and out of the ally as if he never did anything, having never been seen at a 'crime' scene and not wanting to start at this time. He grins wickedly and comes upon a girl sitting on a bench wearing a jet black suit, with a bag on her legs, he walks over to her and sits down next to her and raises an eyebrow having not seen her before having seen many people before. "You knew here lady?" He asks flashing a smile, showing off his filed fangs grinning wickedly. "Ever danced with a vampire before? How about the New York Vampire?"

She jumped a little in surprise as a man dropped down beside her, she thought she was going to have to trash another pervert until he introduced himself as a vampire, blatantly showing his fangs. She couldn't beleive her luck she had been searching for him all night and he's the one that found her. She decided there was no point in attacking until she was completely sure he was her target, the fangs looked real enough but that could just be dentistry work. "Umm actually this is my first time to New York, my name is Dana, and i would love to dance with you, but no further than that unless you want to be a criminal." She said standing up giving him a beautiful smile, ruined slightly by the chocolate stain on her lips. As soon as she figured out that he was the real deal she would put a bullet in his back.

Cain laughs and smriks standing up, he rolls his eyes at what she says and scoffs. He bows a nice soft bow before raising his hand ever so slowly as a shadow raises behind the girl slowly coming behind her. "I would never think of that, my sweet." He says bowing slightly and then holding out a hand in offer for her to take so they may dance. Sure there may be no music but hey, Cain hasn't had some fun in a while and needs something to do in this damned place. He grins hoppping she'll accept his offer as the shadows lightly push her into him, putting a hand around her waist the other on her shoulder as he looks down at her raising an eyebrow what she said sinking in. So, she's a minor ehh? Well that is fine with Cain, a knew 'friend' maybe or another victem he can drain after the fight at least.

She felt something push against her back and move her towards him, it completely confirmed her suspicions, but she let him place his arms anyway. Even without music they moved in step for a minute swaying and cuasing people to stare at them in confusion, after a while she broke from him and said, "Well sorry to say this now but we're going to have to dance to a different tune. We probably could become friends after this after all my contract says i have to fight you, killing is optional." She said with a genuinly sad expression on her face, pulling out her custom 9mm pistols, allowing cain to arm himself so that the fight would be rather fair though if he chose not to it was his choice. "Oh! right i never caught your name what is it, I might need it after today?"

Cain blinks in surprise as the girl jumps away and starts to talk pulling out guns. He raises an eyebrow at what she says,"Call me The New York Vampire, or Lord of the Shadows whichever your heart desires my sweet." He says smirking and disappearing in the shadows only to appear behind her, "I am saddened by that fact, I would have loved to continue our dance, but alas money is king." He says before having a shadow whip that can cut clean through pure titanium go straight at her gut, while one goes at her sides. As this is happening Cain himself throws a punch at the small of her back, doing everything as in a dance like way. Wanting to finish his dance, even if he does have to fight his dance partner while they go. 'Tis a great pitty in all honesty the girl was fairly beautiful and would have made a great 'ally', technically it would not get him arrested he is only nineteen, well last he checked at least. Or was it twenty? Ahh well what no one knows will hurt them, unless he wants it to of course.

She was barely surprised when he slipped behind her in an instant, she dived to the right to avoid his shadow whips and fist shands slamming onto the ground she twirled herself swinging to kick his legs out from under him. Regardless of whether he doged she would do a full flip from that position pushing off with her hands and landing on her feet pointing her guns at Cain again. The whole sequence was performed with grace and power, the ground where her hands had hit was even cracked from the stunt. She put on an ugly face going over his comment in her head, he sounded full of himself saying it like that, and that just made her think less of him. She laughed slightly at the expressions the people around them where making now as they ran to get away from this fight between these unhuman combatants. but then the name thing came up again, "Can i have a real name i cant make anything cute out of that?" she asked him with quite a serious expression on her face, letting him know she was really serious with the question.

Cain watches her grace used to do everything and jumps over her legs landing on the ground with ease and perfect balance. He laughs and dives to the side rolling up before sending about twenty little shadow spikes, sharp enough to pearce the toughest of skin, flying out at her moving at full speed. He listens to her and shrugs, "The name is Vulsore, Cain Vulsore." He says making the spikes spin and go out at all parts of her body as if they were attached to him by the arm, like the rope thing a ballerina uses. He then jumps and spins to avoide any counter attacks, everything done in a graceful maner as if like a dancer. Which is what he is going for; Cain wanted a dance and he will get that dance. Even if they do have to fight while said dance goes on of course, but that is simply a minor detail.

Dana jumped straight up into the air avoiding the shadows and flipping through the air and unloading 2 shots from both her guns, landing behind him facing his back still pointing her guns at his back. "Alright then the your now C.C. what do ya think?" She said lgiving him a comp-letly off nick name like she does to everyone she meets.

Cain snarls and has the shadow spikes follow her wherever she goes, attempting to nail her in the back. He raises a shadow wall to block the gunshots spinning around as she lands behind him the wall falling down. "C.C, how the hell did you get C.C. from my name exactly?" He asks laughing menicaly as the shadow spikes keep coming at her hard, ready to ram into her and puch through her skin, drawing the blood of the girl, blood of the supers. He smirks evily and unsheaths his onyx colord kilij, a curved sword built for mutilation and murder. Cain's favorite weapon of torture next to his control over shadows of course.

She cursed all her shots where blocked and the shadow spikles wher still on her ass, to make matters worse he had drawn a sword. She quickly pulled out a pen from her inner jacket pocket and clicking it. Immediatly a bright light flashed, the contacts she was wearing darkened protecting her eyes as she moved to the left pulling out a handful of her ice bombs and chunking them at C.C. Its the first letter of your name doubled over! She yelled to him ducking into an alley way and climbing up the building, the fingers of her gloves now claws digging into the wall.

Cain smirks at what she says going over it in his head, making sense to him he nods in agreement then is blinded by some random flash. He throws his hands up to his eyes, making a shadow wall infront of him instinctivly then putting it down only to see that the girl is gone. He looks around blinking getting his vision back trying to find her but seeing nothing he frowns, "Woa, where did you go Dana?" He asks laughing slightly, yet smirking as he looks around trying to find the girl he had at first been dancing with, then fighting with because she was paid to fight him. Though that makes no sense to him really, 'I mean honestly, who dances with the person they are paid to fight or kill?' Cain thinks to himself frowning as he lets all of his shadow creations fall back to the ground trying to find where this girl has gone scratching his head in great confusion.

Sitting smiling on the roof of the building she had climbed with one gun trained at C.C. from behind, the shot would have been easy but there would have been no fun in that. she reached into her duffel bag and pulled out more oth the small ice bombs, letting them drop down over him. The moment they went off she would slide down and burn him, pulling out two miniflame throwers to torch him with. she sighed the fun part was over she had seen his powers and had nan effective defense for them, she probably couldnt win but she knew she could get away if need be. she thought about the dance it was a horrid idea to do it for no reason like that but oh well.

Cain turns around in circles then sees a bunch of things coming down from the sky, he blinks and dives to the side rolling and jumping up. He looks up and sees her and smirks rolling his eyes "Trying to kill me from afar are we?" The Lord of the Shadows says smirking and throwing a shadow whip out at her attempting to grab her and throw her down on the ground. If this succeeds he sprints over to her and spins his kilij in his hand before slashing out at her attempting to make a cut out at the girl's midsection and cut down into her, welll that is the plan at least.

She slides down the shadow whips barely missing her head as she goes down. she took her charge holding out both flame throwers and pulling their triggers. she wondered if this would work or piss him off more. emptying the flames she dropped the canisters and redrew her guns, moving to the left and unloading three shots, there was no way she would let herself lose easily and the prospect of losing was never one she liked to contemplate. losing a fight meant her losing business, so she was atleast going to kick the hell out of this guy, before she retreated.
