Quest for the Holy Grail Empty Quest for the Holy Grail

Post by Swordsmaster September 11th 2011, 9:42 pm

Hastin, or more comanly known as The Red Knight, smiles to himself as he puts on his helemt the final peace of his red and black armor. He looks down at the camera then nods to the guy he was paying to be his camera man for this short ammount of time, signaling that it was okay to come out from behind the camera. He laughs slighty only slightly believing the rumors about the Holy Grail himself, yet he must go forth and try to fetch this sacred and holy atrifact. The camera buzzes to life, sending out a message to the six or five people who replyed to his earlier radio brodcast about the grail being found. "Hello everyone as you already know The Holy Grail has been spotted or at least rumored to be in Jeruselum and guarded by some of the strongest knights from King Arthur's Court, and we will be the ones who try and retreave this artifact though I will say this now, most likely none of you will be able to even see and touch the Holy Grail, for only those pure of mind, soul, and body can touch and see it; thouse of mind, and soul, may see it, those of mind, and body may see it yet not touch it." He states sadly knowing he might not be able to do either of those, well he might get to see it of coarse but that is it.

The Red Knight sighs and shakes his head, returning his view to the camera, "Now, all of you should have receaved your plane tickets and money for a cab to bring you to my location where you will be briefed further on what we plan on doing and who I believe are the ones guarding this holy cup. Oh, last thing if you don't know how to ride a horse...you better learn on your plane or you will be shit outa luck on this quest my friend." He grins and motions for the camera to turn off except for the one brodcasting to Elena Marie, the quest witch. "Now Miss Marie, your part of the quest is very essential, as much as I believe the people chosen for this quest can stand up to the knights we are going to face; none of us will be a match for Merlin if he is indeed one of the guardians except for you." He says waiting to see that she understands before continuing his speech. "You may come with the rest of your goons and travel along with us, or supprise Merlin and come in only when we are about to face him. The choice is yours I know you will do what you think is right." He nods for the man to turn the camer off as he straps his shield on his back, sheathing his broadsword. "Thank you kind sir for doing that." He goes to get out his money that he promised to pay the man only for it to be turned down with a slight nod and the man leaving, when he does he accidently flashes chain mail under his coat. The Red Knight blinks confused but shrugs throwing the thing as a slip of the mind. Not knowing that the person he just saw was none other than King Arthur himself seeing how stable the leader of this quest is going to be, to warn his Knights to step up their game.

Quest for the Holy Grail Empty Re: Quest for the Holy Grail

Post by Corvin September 11th 2011, 10:57 pm

Corvin turned his head as the message appeared on his phone and nodding he picked up the ticket and walked to the elevators of the hotel he was staying at and stepped inside. The doors slid closed and headed down towards the lobby. Doors sliding open Corvin headed outside smiling and shaking hands with the doorman and got into a cab paying the man for the ride to the airport. He stepped out walking inside and showed the ticket and was lead to Flight no 12 where he showed his ticket again and having his Passport stamped as a U.S. Citizen and onto the plane.

Corvin sat in the first class seat and asked if they had liquor and to his luck they did and he ordered a bottle of scotch and a Steak. Sitting back he closed his eyes having flown before he wasn't nervous knowing even if they crashed he would walk away just fine. The flight was going to be a long one he was happy he had taken riding lessons in Alaska with his family on that silly vacation that was now paying off. Though he wasn't sure if he needed a horse nor if a horse could hold his 325 pound muscle weight.

The day was hot and going to get worse especially in Jerusalem where it was mostly desert and it was going to be humid as hell. Corvin hadn't been told who the others on this little mission was going to be and he was skeptical about the Knights guarding the real Holy Grail but something like that could attract Perfection and he had to make sure they didn't get whatever it was. He however was eager to go to the Holy City having never been out of the states before. His steak arrived along with his scotch and a glass and smiled taking a big bite of the medium rare steak.

Quest for the Holy Grail Empty Re: Quest for the Holy Grail

Post by The Perfect Sandwich September 12th 2011, 5:19 pm

He was in his apartment heading to a local cafe holding on to the items he was given. He was watching the video confrence of the guy speak watching and listening very closely to what he were saying. He walked down the side walk not paying attention to everything, the video ended and he had made it to the cafe. He got his order and headed to the local air port wich was about 10 miles away. "Darn this walk" , he thought. He ate and consumed his food and then grabbed his bag and headed to an alley. There was no one around so it was all good, he used his power to shoot him to the top of a building. He looked around because he forgot were the airport was. He seen a plane coming in to land, lucky him he would not have to wait for a plane to show him or ask someone for directions. He baggan running strait for the airport jumping building.

After a while of running he finally reached the airport he was not sweating so he did not have to clean up, but he was thirsty. he popped a bottle form his bag and jugged the entire thing down. He threw it in the air behind him and closed his eyes. He used his power to shoot the bottle a few buildings away right before it hit the top of the roof he was on. He jumped into the alley and walked out onto the side walk. He looked into the air seeing another plane coming in. He walked into the main building and headed strait for the plane he was asigned. Lucky him his plane was about to leave. "Last call for gate 32" That was him and he bagan runnig but it was closer than what he thought, he handed them the ticket and then walked aboard the plane up to first class. Wow today is a hastle, Im always in a rush he mumbled to him self. He asked the flight attendent for a glass of water and a small pillow to lay down on. She replied yes and walked into the supply closet. She came back with both and he emediatlly used them both. He placed the pillow on the recligned chair and emediatley consumed the glass of water. Thank you he said handing the glass back to the lady. He layed down and went to sleep hoping to have a good flight with no interuptions.

Quest for the Holy Grail Empty Re: Quest for the Holy Grail

Post by TheArsenal September 13th 2011, 12:55 am

London, England

<...Jefferson sits on a bench, waiting to board a flight to Jerusalem. There are other passengers waiting to get aboard the Lufthansa flight to Tel Aviv. He was at the Heathrow Airport. So there was much chaos and noise as the passengers in one of the worlds busiest airports tried to find flights, get food and magazines, and keep themselves entertained while they waited. Jefferson, however, sat alone. Holding open a book. He wasn't reading the book, he was just staring off into space, thinking intensely. Here he sits, on the brink of a quest for the Holy Grail of all things. This morning he didn't even believe it's existence. But the man on the video sounded so convinced. Would he be able to touch the grail? Mind. Body. and Soul. Well, body was out of the question. His past heroin abuse squashed any hope of that. But could he see it? Is he of pure enough mind and soul?...

...The past several days he had been seeing castles and museums and museumcastles in England and learning the history of the legend of the holy grail. All the while having constant moments where he had to just stand, alone, and think. It was true that his logical mind couldn't allow him to believe in the grails existence, and the fact that he may not even be able to see the grail meant he couldn't truly believe in it's existence. But what is the factor to determine the purity of a man's mind and soul? He glances down again at the book he is reading. It is Perlesvaus, a 13th century text. Called the "last canonical grail romance." What interested Jefferson so much about this particular book was that nobody is quite sure who the "deranged" author was. He had been reading many texts on the grail and the quests for it in anticipation for this journey. It had been a while since a topic had consumed his mind for an extended period of time. But, when dealing with the spiritual, one doesn't often find easy answers...
>

"Lufthansa flight 5204 to Tel Aviv, now boarding."

<...Jefferson shakes out of his intense train of thought and places his book inside his carry-on bag. He approaches the gate, hands off his ticket and walks through the long tunnel on his way to the plane. On his way through the crowds of people he passed a group of Arsenal FC supporters, wearing kits and scarves and singing songs, on their way to an away match against Beitar Jerusalem. He see's the badges on their shirts, "ARSENAL" written in gold over top an image of a cannon. He smirks and thinks of the similarities. He arrives in the plane and is escorted to his seat by a flight attendant...>

"Aaaaand here you are sir. Is there anything I can get you?"
"Water for now... will there be coffee later?"
"Sure. We'll be brewing coffee throughout. Is that all?"
"No. Thank you very much."
"You're most welcome sir. Enjoy your flight!"

<... Arsenal smiles and nods. The flight attendant goes to assist another boarding passenger. He opens his carryout bag and retrieves a Jazz Times magazine with a cover story on the 100th Anniversary of Duke Ellington and His Cotton Club Orchestra. This would be good reading on the flight, he thought, enough to keep his mind off of the grail... at least for now...>

Quest for the Holy Grail Empty Re: Quest for the Holy Grail

Post by Bane September 13th 2011, 7:59 am

On board the flight from New York to Jerusalem was none other then the young, genetic, female clone of Pain herself, Fury. She was calmly reading through a newspaper about herself. The article was titled 'Righteous Fury Hits Bank Robbers'. Her lips quirked upwards at the title of the newspaper, fining it very amusing. Her attire consisted of black bicycle shorts, a black tanktop and black combat boots. The 6 foot 2, 250 pound Pain look-alike tilted her head upwards when the captain came on the speaker and told her and her fellow flight attendees that they had landed. She nodded her head in a satisfied manner as she gathered up any belongings she might have had and exited the plane. The weather was very hot in Jerusalem and it was a very good thing she chose some heat-friendly clothes otherwise she would have most likely sweated herself into dehydrated unconsciousness. She checked into the hotel she booked while she was in New York and moved herself into her room. She plopped down into her bed with a sigh and felt the comfortableness of the bed. She got up and changed into some pajamas she brought with her on her trip and looked at the time. She groaned seeing that it was 4:00 AM in the morning and yawned to herself, noting that even though it was so late, or early depending on your preference, it was still so hot. She laid down into the bed, placed the covers over herself and instantly dozed off into dreamland, thoughts of the holy grail and Eternal Youth in her grasp.

Quest for the Holy Grail Empty Re: Quest for the Holy Grail

Post by Alpha September 17th 2011, 12:25 pm

"So do you believe that the Grail is even there, or are you a bit skeptical about it?" Theresa asked a little interested in the man who sent the message, though Elena just sat, and smirked. Legs crossed as she looked over to Phil, and Malice. Taking a light sip of wine, allowing the taste to linger over her tounge for a brief second. Appraising her question with a brief look.

"If its not there, it isn't. Though i'm not passing up an oppurtunity like this, its too much of an interesting prospect." She stood up, motioning for the three to follow.

"How do you even plan to get there? We don't have any way."

"I called in a favor" Elena said cryptically, as she walked through the apartment door. Phil raised an eye brow.

"Well that sound interesting."

Quest for the Holy Grail Empty Re: Quest for the Holy Grail

Post by Swordsmaster September 17th 2011, 6:02 pm

The Red Knight walks out of the abondend bomb shelter , where he just shot the video that was sent out to the rest of his new allies, into the hot beating down Jeruselum sun. He saddles his horse testing to make sure it is tight before getting up on the animal himself. He takes off down the road into the town and up to the hotel where he will be meeting up with everyone else, having ahhh 'purseaded' the owners to let them use the hotel as their own lodging for however long they needed it. Oh, sure they'd pay of coarse but deffinately would not be paying up front and before hand. Red walks into the loby of said hotel fully in full armor, looking around only to see that no one is here at all yet. Or, at least that is what it seems for he could be completly wrong but one may never know until they have facts.

Quest for the Holy Grail Empty Re: Quest for the Holy Grail

Post by Corvin September 18th 2011, 5:51 pm

Corvin stepped off the plane walking down the ramp and heading towards the exit to the airport, as he stepped outside he hailed a cab and as one was coming the large powerhouse looked around and stopped dead when he saw a man standing only ten feet away wearing a shiny glowing armor and had blue eyes like ice. He was shorter than Corvin and less built but his stance was a person who knew his weapons and the sword at his side showed he was a true combatant.

The man stepped forward raising a finger at Corvin before people walked by them and he vanished, Corvin stepped into the cab and sat down crossing his arms as he wondered just who he was...and if it had anything to do with the Holy Grail. The Cab stopped in front of the hotel and paying the man he got out and walked into the Hotel.

The first person that stood out was his benefactor and the man who had called them all here, he stepped passed the doorman after waving and walked up to the Red Knight, as he stopped in front of the man he looked down at him. "Hey you got a light? Weed is legal out here." Corvin pulled a joint out of his pocket and getting a light from a passerby he leaned against the desk. "So what now?"
