Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus) Empty Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus)

Post by The Ghost October 31st 2011, 7:18 pm

‘drip, drip, drip’ the slow steady tap of water rippled against the concrete and rooftops as the clouds above the world wept in grief, the black clouds sagged with their heavy burden foretelling much heavier rains that were soon to come through the night. Silhouetted against the black clothed sky was the crooked smile of the moon in its crescent form standing vigilant against the black clouds as they fought for supremacy against ocean of darkness known as the sky. Blistering cold winds swept through the town that would shivers down the very soul of any man that would dare oppose it, it’s heavy winds lifted the nearby garbage of everyday life within the street of New York into the world like mere toys to a child, along the city streets the residents slumbered in their blankets safe in the knowledge of their protection against the world behind their locked doors and under the sheets of their warm beds. None of these people had any strange notion of what would plunder the streets in the darkness nor were they interested in such trivial things in their hardworking lives. The city slumbered in a state of tranquility however, perched on the rooftop of one of the many buildings that littered the city was a man with a skull white mask attached to his face with deep sapphire blue eyes gleaming within the eye sockets of the mask watching the city streets in silent vigilance.

Ghost’s overcoat fluttered behind him with the cold blistering winds the black toned material made silent whipping motions, dragging upon his shoulders with the constant sweeping of motion. Underneath the overcoat that fell all the way down towards knee height, Ghosts black long sleeved shirt was put on underneath to protect against the cold weather although it was failing miserably at the job, the cold air would find gaps within the fibers of the clothing and submerge him into the ice filled lake of cold weather, the long sleek black trousers were slightly loose to provide full range of movement with comfortable ease and not have the unnecessary embarrassment of tearing his clothing while performing stunts. Crouching down upon the rooftop with his left knee planted firmly against the rooftop of the building the right leg bent to provide balance as the surveillance looked over the working quarters of New York City. The city that never sleeps, Ghost thought to himself as even from a distance he could see the plumes of smoke generated from wasted fuel or accidents still wafting through the air, Ghost reached into his overcoat and withdrew a piece of equipment to enhance his vision, an ordinary grind of the day binoculars. With one hand he brushed his black sodden hair away from his mask where it had began to dangle before placing the sockets of the scopes towards the eyeholes within the mask.

Magnified Ghosts vision was expanded by a significant amount as from this towering position in the distance he was able to get a clear view of the factories and other manufacturing cooperation’s that owned this sector of the city. Scopes narrowing his view the Ghost began to check each window in turn searching for any essence of skullduggery, this stakeout for a crime that wasn’t even guaranteed to happen began to gnaw at the patients of Ghost as the cold wind constantly harassed him along with the steadily increasing down pour of rain that constantly cascaded down upon his body drenching his clothes and hair. Suddenly snapping through the wind like a gunshot sirens suddenly bellowed out through the streets as four wheeled monsters flashing with blue and red lights whipping through the wind and rain with extreme levels of velocity, they were mere blurs flying one after the other down the streets with the new models of police cars that had been manufactured in the world. They flocked towards the working district towards the factories “there must be something going on down there, I better follow them.” Ghost spoke to himself almost to reassure him of his suspicion, tracking the movement of the cars with his eyes the young vigilante stood upright letting the cramping of his muscles from the long period of crouching recoil as the uncomfortable feeling was pushed away.

Eyes narrowed against the cold wind that whistled within his face, his ears surrounded in the cacophonies of noise made by the many sirens that flooded the streets around him. Ghost launched himself forward to the edge of the building as his genetically enhanced muscles granted him unusual amounts of energy in his starting sprint letting the wind slam against his mask in protection from it as his overcoat bellowed behind him, once his foot was teetering off the ledge of the building the Ghost leaped forward off the edge diving through the world like a plummeting meteor before landing on a smaller buildings rooftops. This trend would continue as the masked man clambered over buildings, swooning around or over obstacles in his path performing a variation of free running on many occasions, it was the orchestra of sirens that led him like a dog upon a leash towards the crime. “These criminals must be amateurs timers or incredibly stupid to attract this much attention.” The masked man puzzled to himself, in a short amount of time he had breached the factory quarters. The buildings here were more grungier than the more up to date and well built buildings in the main hub of New York, it was here that things were built to work and last with minimum upkeep rather than high quality engineering construction to look sleek and pretty.

The drama was cantered upon only one of these factories however, it located close to the centre of the hub of factories and its alarms were dinging for the entire world to hear, police flocked to the building like hornets covering both the back entrance and the front. They had aligned their vehicles in a makeshift palisade against the buildings a technique used to protect against gunfire which they were obviously expecting to meet. Ghost would find footholds upon the factory neighboring the targeted beacon for disaster and would climb to the top for a vantage point to scope out the trouble, this caused a sense of unease deep within his stomach as his body began to perform vascular shunts of blood from the stomach towards the arms and legs, it had been a long time since Ghosts body had reacted like this in preparations for an event, it unnerved him for a strange reason that he couldn’t explain. Leaning against one of the chimneys that would usually belch the fumes of production within the factory Ghost leaned over to watch the situation unravel as the police began to make their move, one of the officers who Ghost could only presume to be the leader of this band of law bringers raised his megaphone towards the building and said the cliché stereotypical lines of an officer in this situation. “The building is surrounded!, Drop your weapons and come out with your hands up!” Ghost paused to wonder to himself if he had ever seen that line actually work, it wasn’t long before he snapped himself out of his daydreaming as he haunted the factory below him surveying the situation unfold before him.

Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus) Empty Re: Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus)

Post by Elena Vexus October 31st 2011, 8:18 pm

The infamous Elena Vexus had been asked by the ever charming Nightkill, leader of the Harbringers, to bring him back some supplies from a factory in New York. It was a larger heist and Elena offered to do the job to save Nightkill the trouble of rounding up all his troops for a well planned mission. Nightkill did not always approve of Elena's upfront methods, but they were most definitely successful. Elena drove herself to the factory at the outskirts of the town, she took a blacked out Chrysler 300. She voted against taking the Mercedes because she wouldn't really mind if this car was trashed. She also called for a garbage truck to arrive exactly fifteen minutes after she gave the signal. The driver asked what this 'signal' was going to be, but she simply told him that he would be able to tell. Vexus parked in a dark corner a small ways away from the factory, mostly because she did not want any cross fire to hit the car. She was wearing her usual grey pump high heels that have a hot pink sole. She also wore light violet semi-transparent tights with a grey mini skirt and a white vest with a black collar. She had the one button done, but noting underneath making it rather revealing, but it was no matter to her.

Elena began her strut up to the factory with a gun tucked in her waistband behind her back. She was immediately spotted from down the way by the guards of the factory and simply waited for her to approach. The two men in black with large guns asked her for some identification, she looked at both of them and tried to simply walk past them, but they crossed their guns in her path. Elena backed up a couple of steps, pulled her gun and shot the two men in the head giving neither of them time to react. She put her gun back in her waist band and grabbed both of the guns that the guards were carrying. Of course, people inside had heard the shot and had sent someone to take a look. Elena was half way to the entrance when the other people came out to see why they had heard gun shots. They had their guns drawn already and commanded Elena to stop and drop the weapons, but her heels just kept on clicking one took a shot at her but nothing happened to Elena. She then answered by unloading on the men that had come to investigate, killing the three. She had found her way inside and everyone was running about, some grabbing weapons and others just making a run for it. However, once Elena did enter a lot of the men that were running stopped and chuckled a bit seeing that she was only a woman. A man wearing a military outfit and smoking a cigar calmly walked up to her and said.
"Listen here little lady, this is a man's work place. You've got your big guns, but we've got ours. Face it babe. You're out numbered."
Elena smirked and drilled that man full of holes. The rest of the crew then opened fire on her as she grabbed the gun in the nicely dressed man's back pocket. She was getting hit with bullets rather frequently and was kind of impressed with their accuracy, but she continued walking through the place as if nothing was happening. But then again, she did not pay attention to where she was. It ended up being a secret military facility, which would explain why they had such good aim, Elena decided to have some fun with these brutes before she got what she came for. Walking up to one individual who was continually shooting her, he began to freak out once his gun ran out of ammunition. She smiled as the holes in her body closed up and knocked him over the head with one of the large automatic guns she had strapped over she shoulders. He squirmed a bit on the ground, his head bleeding fiercely. Elena took aim to shook, but he bled out before she took the shot. She shrugged and moved on walking up a flight of stairs just shooting everyone as she ascended. With all these people and their weapons, they must have an arsenal closet somewhere. Elena wanted at least everyone dead before the cops arrived, and according to her sensors she did not have much time left for that. She picked up her pace as she walked over a bridge suspended over a machine. One of the grunts ran at her with a bat and she tossed him over the edge, but the lost her balance and grabbed onto one of the railings. She turned around to see one of these guys trying to dislodge the bridge. Vexus tried to shoot him with the gun she had in her hand, but it had ran out of ammunition. The bridge buckled again as the man almost succeeded with taking the small metal bridge out but Elena whipped the empty gun at him like a Frisbee and knocked him out. She found the supply closet with a whole bunch of guns and grenade belts. A sadistic smile stretched across her face as she took everything and threw it over her shoulder, or held like she did a purse if it had a strap.

The rest of everything was easy picking, and was able to kill off most of the staff by the time the police arrived. There was one guy left when Elena heard "The building is surrounded! Drop your weapons and come out with your hands up!" The loser she had at gun point smirked and started to say that she'd been caught, but he was cut off by a bullet through his skull. Vexus then made her way to the roof, weapons a plenty. She pushed open the hatch to the top and crawled to the surface. Elena walked to the edge of the building and looked down at the crowed that she had gathered. She did good for this one, so it was about time to give that sign. She pulled off all the the grenade belts but one and pulled the string on them setting the timer. There were four belts of 6 grenades each, 24 total hand grenades.
"Up here!" Elena shouted down to the police forces as she dropped the four belts down and chucked as she watched their faces of terror before the grenades hit the ground. Though she didn't stay to watch the fire works, she had to get what Nightkill wanted and get out. The fire from the explosions and the cars involved would provide a suitable signal for her truck to arrive. Elena went back down to the main floor of the factory and began tearing through pages and pages of information, the multitude of weapons clanking against each other every time she moved. It would be rather unfortunate for whoever would have to clean up all these bodies later...

Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus) Empty Re: Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus)

Post by The Ghost October 31st 2011, 9:31 pm

Standing boldly against the blister coldness that would chill them to the bones the police stood at their stations, their armaments were fully loaded with all manners of weaponry from small hand pistols to sniper rifles. Each of these weapons were trailing the suspect which they could only see the faintest outline of the figure that was busy plundering the ruins amidst the mass of dead bodies of the employers that had so diligently defended the factory from the hostile takeover. Surveying the scenario play out before him the ghost was submerged within the shade of the gigantic chimney that towered over him, the head of the police made his statement to the criminal on the inside with defiance and pride ringing within his words. Ghosts eyes were focused upon him suspecting that if the criminal had any integrity within the mission that the standoff would continue instead however, Ghost bore witness to a site that made his stomach churn with dismay, before the lat syllable had the chance to leave the officers mouth as he spoke from years of tenacity and training in dealing with these situations the sound of death would cut him off, the echoing of a gunshot ripped through the air as a bullet was unloaded into a hostage that the cold blooded individual had managed to attain in her anarchistic ways.

Shock was brought down upon the police as they gazed at this gore riddled scenario of the former hostage Ghost himself was appalled at the casual way that the officer had been dispatched it wasn’t contrived out of a sense of loyalty or respect to the man that had just met his end, after all he knew nothing about the man or what he would be able to commit further in the future, it was the fact that the kill had been remedied without any respect or forethought of planning. This thing must be paid well or is just plain cold blooded. Ghost thought to himself grimacing in disgust as he gazed upon the ruined former shell of a man, it was lucky that he was wearing a mask the Ghost reasoned with himself as he would not want to face himself as dismayed as this, killing should never be easy. ‘SLAM’ the sound of a hatch being pushed open to casually fall upon the roof snapped Ghost to his senses once more as he peered outwards towards the figure clambering onto the rooftops, the man in the mask was slightly taken aback when the stranger shrouded in blood and terror revealed herself to the world to be a woman. Ghost was suspecting someone more of a stereotyped individual such as a gang of drunk criminals that had decided to pull of their most glories heist, yet fate or chance would never leave ones first suspicions unchallenged. Standing tall with perfect posture against the moonlight her shrouded figure was revealed in the glances of moonlight that flowed over her ominously making her look like a demon as she towered over the tiny police officers in her way. Removing her armaments which comprised of four belts riddled with grenades of the highest quality she mocked the police to trace their gaze upon her flaunting her position of power of those foolish enough to oppose her.

Ghosts eyes widened in realization of what the woman was about to perform, tucking himself the cover of the chimney and pulling his hands over the back of his head tucking the chin into the chest, the overcoat was pulled over the body cloaking it fully in shadow in preparation to the cleansing that was about to be accomplished. One after the other the belts of un-pinned grenades flowed through the air almost floating within a dream sequence before they exploded into a cataclysmic wave of death and destruction, one after the other vehicles flowed into the air as wreckage, limbs and blood flew through the air like a storm of arrows. Blood washed over the streets only to be rebuffed by the blazing fire that would soon follow from such destruction, the sky it’s self would seem to turn orange from the shockwave of the explosion before the pitch black smoke from the smouldering debris polluted it’s way through the atmosphere encroaching into the area. Ghost felt the building underneath him tremble within the shockwaves as large porches of the roof he was sitting upon fell towards the ground, the middle of wall of the building had been completely torn out making the whole foundation of the building unstable. Ghost’s heart weighted heavily with the amount of death that had washed through the world in the early hours of his lookout, feeling remorse for the police as their mangled limbs were slumped with each other in a sorrowful state. Ghost gritted his teeth in anguish as he slumped forward from the chimney, punching the surface of the roof in front of him from the weight of the dead that he could of prevented if he had acted sooner. Forgive me, please forgive me. Ghost yearned internally as the masked man gave his head a shake. Crouching underneath the midst of shadows still available in the blazing orange light, Ghost waited for the harlot had looked away from his location before descending off the building, it dawned upon him that he was going to need something more weighted in order to breach the small fortress that she had camped within, it dawned on him to look for some kind of vehicle.

Charging through the streets he began his ambitious search for a suitable car even if it meant committing grand theft auto, the rumbling of an engine shook the silence as lights flooded through the road illuminating the Ghost within the artificial light that showered his body in a yellow glow, the driver was wide eyed when the vision of Ghost came into view but his foot did not leave the acceleration pedal. The masked man ran towards the truck as it sped towards him, gaining his own brand of acceleration within his legs. Bounding upwards off the pavement towards the truck the added power lifted his body onto the bonnet of the truck, grabbing hold of the open window inside of the door, before the driver could react Ghost lifted the two planted feet from the bonnet of the car letting his legs drift outwards from the speed of the car and with outstanding flexibility along with staggering strength Ghost pulled his feet towards the open window of the truck and drove both legs into the driver in a dropkick, it was so powerful that the hinges of the door broke sending the man into a panic as the Ghost seemed to flow within the interior of the car on the passenger seat, “pull over.” Ghost said to the man as he obeyed without question, with only one quick shove the driver was pushed safely to the outside unscathed although a string of vile words followed Ghost like hornets as he accelerated the vehicle causing the engine to roar in triumph.

Putting the four wheeled beast into full acceleration the headlights flashed and glared, the only thing that was illuminated through the darkness was the bone white mask with a long red lipped smile travelling from one side to the other, it wasn’t a matter of seconds before the truck brought the Ghost back onto the scene of the mass genocide of police officers. Thundering forward with the roar of the engines deafening his ears, the door beside him flapping with the momentum of the car unable to lock due to shattered mechanisms the Ghost made a B-line directly for the factories front door. Wreckages of ruined police cars that had been so quick and agile previously were nothing more than flies to the speed and power that the truck exhibited, ‘Smash!’ the ends of two smouldering vehicles collided with the truck causing them to fly through the air from the amount of force, the shallow remains did not affect the speed of the truck as it gathered momentum as it’s yellow blazing eyes cast it’s lamp like gaze upon the factory with criminal that resided within. “I’m here to haunt you,” Ghost muttered as he bailed out of the truck just before the impact on the entrance, diving out of the exit his balance was thrown from underneath him from the steady pavement, rolling along the ground several times until he was able to gain self control, bruises began to immediately welt upon his back that irritated him greatly rippling underneath his clothing in small black dots from bleeding vessels from the shock of impact and the gravel that had been loosened from the cataclysmic explosion of grenades he ignored them however, while adrenaline was still pumping within his heart this meagre level of pain was an abstract distraction that he couldn't afford.

Screaming from the friction of the wheels jolted with no one behind the wheel to guide it’s tenacious speed the wheels buckled forcing the truck to topple over onto it’s side, yet the sheer drift of the truck would continue to push the machine forward. the truck collided with the building smashing through the factory like a giant battering ram, it’s framework screeched horribly making a cacophony of noise as it’s heavy weight collided with everything within the building, guns cracked underneath it’s wheels along with many manufactured goods as well as the machines that bulked or shattered within it’s wake. Ghost was aiming for only one target in particular however, it was the woman that had caused so much death in the span of a few seconds, Ghost had the smallest suspicion though that this ‘thing’ was something that would not be taken down as easy as this however, Ghost would assume however, that a truck driving at such a incredulous speed along with the fact that it had a high possibility of losing or destroying the intended target of the individual if this wasn’t just some sadistic hobby that she had conjured within the depraved mind of a lunatic, Ghost could only prey that it would be enough to cause some damage to this abomination if she had gained some of the similar talents that he himself possessed.

Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus) Empty Re: Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus)

Post by Elena Vexus November 1st 2011, 9:55 pm

Elena was tearing through the paperwork when she came across the information on where she would find what he was looking for, she stuffed the paper in her back pocket and started to head to the location in the factory where her prize was located when she saw bright lights heading for the entrance and someone yell something. She couldn't really understand what the person had said over this massive truck busting through the entrance. Her eyes widened like a deer in the headlights, and even with her calculations running at the speed of light there was no possible way for her to avoid. She took a stance where her center of gravity was the lowest and look the truck head on. It suddenly flipped on it's side and rolled over Vexus lodging her inside the truck's trailer The best of metal ran over her like a bump in the road and continued over to the other side of the factory that had already been blown away by her bomber attack earlier. Elena was lying inside the bed of the truck when it finally came to a halt. She leaned up a bit and quickly checked the string of grenades strapped along her chest to make sure that none of them had been pulled. Most of the guns that she had commandeered had been broken or lost and she simply tossed those and continued with the couple that she had, along with the one in her back pocket that had not been damaged. The truck was on its side and she looked to the left see the hole that she had made coming through the truck when it smashed on top of her, the damage that it had caused had already been repaired.
"What.. The... HELL!?" she screamed as she walked up to the closed truck doors and send them flying off with a powerful kick. The two steel doors went cartwheeling out of the gaping hole that the truck had created like they were nothing. One of her violet eyes turned red as she had switched on her infrared vision so that she could see who had thrown this truck at her. She caught site of him where he looked to have been hiding behind a wall that was taken out by the truck. Judging by his stance, he had been injured. She assumed that he had jumped out of the truck last second and allowed it to pile drive itself into the building. Vexus walked out of the truck and started walking rather quickly towards this wanna be hero, her heels clicking ominously with every click. She started to load the M4 Carbine that she had stolen earlier and aimed it in the direction that the man was and began firing on and off.
"For your own sake, you best not be that lone police officer trying to be the hero of the group. You're just going to wind up like the rest of them, in charred pieces splattered all over the concrete. Now come out be a man about your actions you rent-a-cop level hero..."

Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus) Empty Re: Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus)

Post by The Ghost November 2nd 2011, 7:38 am

Destruction, chaos and the symphony of disaster rattled through the air as the ear splitting screen of the truck drove into the building, the dense population of weaponry on the ground ranging from assault rifles to normal colt sized pistols would crack and shatter into shadows of their former constructions becoming nothing but useless pieces of scrap metal scattered along the ground due to the crushing weight along with the tenacious speed of the discarded vehicle. Ghost leaned against the metal wall clutching his arm that was still throbbing painfully due to his rather hastened escape from the four wheeled destruction that he had caused through the wall, the black blotches would ripple underneath the skin the like small golf balls but the man in the mask had other agendas within mind rather than patching his little injuries from this improvised assault upon this miniature fortress. At long last the screeching of the truck died away as the engine sputtered, wheezing with exhaustion before it finally conked out and died with a thick black putrid smoke radiating from the bonnet of the now destroyed battering ram that it had been for its new purpose had been achieved to provide an opening for Ghost who would not hesitate to reward the trucks services by exploiting this now sizable gap into the factory.

Snapping through the debris caused by the truck, a loud harsh voice stammered an easily audible curse of fury towards the truck Ghost looked up at the rain as he slumped his back towards the metal wall as his body edged closer, closer towards the opening that the four wheeled beast had made for him it clutched at his heart to know that he had either missed the onslaught or this woman was on a whole other level than the average idiotic criminal. With a loud crunch along with a savage ripping noise the doors that were welded onto the truck were torn off their framework, Ghost peered through the gap just in time to see the woman extended her leg and drive her foot into the pair of steel doors much like a footballer would when scoring a penalty, the tumultuous din caused by the cart wheeling doors was just slightly less than the terrifying loud noise of the truck it’s self when it had caused this situation, Ghost tore his head out of the way of the hole in the wall gazing at the phenomenal amount of power in the woman to launch these doors so easily, Ghost let his gaze drift of them as dented into the pavement causing long gashes within the concrete while making sickening thuds of metal slamming against the hard surface however, it wasn’t long for the doors to lose their momentum and wheeled down onto the ground clattering as their once shiny steel coating was covered in grime and grit with two largely sizeable dents along with cracks within the surface, it’s grime would become splattered with water from the small on pour of rain causing a stream causing the life like sensation that it was weeping from its non-existent pain.

Ghost tore his vision away from the destruction and looked over towards the hole once again attempting his utmost to stay out of eyesight, the steady downpour of rain upon his clothing and mask irritated him as the cold wind whipped through his ears making them roar, his black hair billowed over the fringe of his mask and the sapphire blue eyes gleamed as he surveyed the woman looking through the interior of the car. Not even a scratch on her, but the truck would suggest otherwise this isn’t going to be an easy one to take down, she hardly even seemed that distraught that a truck annihilated this building compromising her position. Ghosts eyes were dashed with puzzlement as they tried to figure out this almost inhuman response to the situation at hand, it was as though this was nothing but a wasp to her the tiniest pot hole within her procedure. Ghost saw the woman’s head turn towards him with cold merciless eyes; they gleamed too brightly to be normal even when Ghost pulled back behind the wall to shroud himself from the gaze of this harlot he could still feel instinctively the penetrating eyes upon him analyzing him like some test tube rat. Ghost’s spine gave a smaller quiver for apprehension as his muscles throbbed from the heart beat that his body was giving out, blood rippled its way through his body as adrenaline released its chemicals into his blood steam, and Ghosts modified body was exceedingly prepared to deal with the combat that was sure to proceed. The churning of ammunition split through the shouldering silence as Ghosts eyes looked upwards around him knowing the damage that bullets could do to any man even one such as him.

The clanging of ammunition slamming against the thin concrete with metal frame work rustled through Ghosts mind as the bullets slammed off the wall that he used for cover, some of the bullet managed to burrow their way entirely through the concrete past the metal interior that supported the building. Small trickles of light stemming from the internal confines of the room trickled out like miniature spot lights over Ghosts head, twice the bullets almost came into contact with him but only finding the smallest fabric of clothing with their metal teeth that so deeply hungered for his flesh. Ghost’s horror was increased in intensity as he realized that this woman was no stranger to firearms, the shots were regulated into controlled bursts Ghost heard the taunting of the woman as she insulted him for daring to oppose her operation. "For your own sake, you best not be that lone police officer trying to be the hero of the group. You're just going to wind up like the rest of them, in charred pieces splattered all over the concrete. Now come out be a man about your actions you rent-a-cop level hero..." Ghost looked around him for something that he could use to turn the situation to his advantage, before him lay the rubble of destruction and split body parts he could always use one of the corpses as a human meat shield but that would be sadistically disrespectful to the once proud officer however, Ghosts eyes fell upon the two objects that would provide cover for him.

Darting out of the cover in the lapses between one of these bursts Ghost rolled towards the steel doors that lay upon the ground drenched in the coat of water, the bullets whizzed past him once again and this time one of the bullets found home. IT felt much like a bee sting upon his shoulder as the overcoat tore slightly along with the black long sleeved shirt that protected him from the cold, the bullet had only grazed him but a thin trickle of blood pouted down into the black sodden clothing creating a small red tinge to the black long sleeved shirt however, this was covered up by the overcoat that would remain in its appearance apart from the missing fabric around the arm. Latching his unscathed over the least damaged steel door of the two, Ghost would raise it as a makeshift shield against the oncoming onslaught of bullets as he pushed himself forward with as much speed as he could muster without openly revealing himself to the shrapnel of bullets. The dinging of steel meeting ammunition writhed upon his ears as small dents upon the metal where the bullets had become wedged caused concern for Ghost many a time in that brief period that felt like an age as he shoved his way forward through the storm of shrapnel and bullets.

Ghost finally entered the building that he had sought to gain entry into the corpses littered before him was many along with the debris that had caused the rooms original set up into a travesty of what it once was, after a pause in the spell of bullets from either empty cartridges or controlled bursts Ghost allowed the steel door to fall upon one of the corpses of the hostages that she had ruthlessly killed. Propped up against the body the steel door was set up as a makeshift springboard as a gymnast would use, Ghost hardly let the steel fall to the ground before he leaped upwards and propelled himself off the makeshift board directly towards his adversary, for the first time the bone white mask with dark empty black slits for eyes loomed towards his adversary, the purple lightning bolt painted over the eyes shrouded by the wet black hair that fringed the mask.

As Ghost loomed over his adversary his hand shot within his sleeve and withdrew the poltergeists noose from within his overcoat at the forefront of the rope which did not contain the looped circle of the noose at the end. Concealing the rope within his hand he swung his hips clockwise lifting up the left leg, extending it to deliver a dynamic round house kick while floating within the air, this was only the distracting point however, to attempt and trick his opponent into blocking the kick while with amazing balance and coordination he launched the roped end of the noose towards one of the ringlets of the grenades in order to attempt to stealthily wrap it’s way around the grenade pin like a viper ensnaring its prey, when the attack had been commenced Ghost would use the momentum to launch himself away from the criminal while pulling upon the noose in the attempt of loosening the pin from the grenade in the sly attempt to detonate this person within her own armaments.

Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus) Empty Re: Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus)

Post by Elena Vexus November 2nd 2011, 5:16 pm

Elena continued to fire at the man while he ran for cover, hiding behind one of the steel doors she had kicked apart moments before. The door provided him with a decent level of protection as he ran closer into what remained of the factory. Vexus clicked the trigger of the gun a couple times, but she had run out of ammunition to this gun, and apparently her new opponent was taking the momentary cease fire to his advantage. He dropped the steel door and propped it against one of the many bodies on the ground and used it as a platform to launch himself in the air, sending him flying straight at Elena. She reverted her vision back to normal as her eyes took in every millisecond of information as it happened and processed it hundreds of times over before the event even finished happening. Vexus could tell from his movements exactly what he was planning, she took off the empty gun and used that to block the incoming kick. The gun snapped at the contact point, but was sturdy enough to stop the kick. Her eyes then followed the rope in which this man stealthily tried to use to set off one of the grenades. She grabbed the end of the rope, wrapped a couple times around her left hand, tossed the broken gun aside while pushing the man's leg away and quickly retrieved the gun in her back pocket and pointed it at the masked wannabe hero.
"I will put a bullet through your skull as fast as anyone else, but with your last display there I am curious as to who you are."
This masked crusader had one hand free unless he decided to let go of the rope. She was aware of his legs and feet as it was just demonstrated that he knows how to fight. But if this poser would try anything, all she had to do was pull the trigger.
"Take off that silly mask, boy. I don't want to miss..." Elena said as she cocked the gun getting ready to fire.

Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus) Empty Re: Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus)

Post by The Ghost November 2nd 2011, 6:25 pm

‘Wham!’ the leg was brought down like a hammer upon an anvil during the midst of the attack, the woman before the Ghost reacted with tenacious speed with such finesse and calculated precision that the masked man was a little taken aback by the defensive manipulation of her armaments, leg filled with the raw power provided by his mutated muscles slammed against the carbine that had been attempting to deal lead based death towards his tender flesh. The snapping sensation of the various components of the gun did nothing to sway the power of the leg as it showered the remains down upon the floor but the feint did not go as well as the attack, it was analyzed almost inhumanly so be the mysterious woman who garbed herself with high heel shoes in order to perform this massacre of an agenda. The roped end of the cabled noose failed to reach the pin and was instead obstructed by the inhumanly strategic woman who analyzed even his disseat within a matter of milliseconds, the force of the kick drove the Ghost flying through the air and scatter some feet away from his adversary his sapphire blue eyes masked by the shadows of the mask appearing to an outsider to have no eyes whatsoever and only black slits to gaze upon the world before him.

The vigilantly slid upon the ground upon his knee upon the wreckage strewn along the ground covering it within the dust from the recent explosions or the onslaught by the deceased truck that stood in shoulders at the far side of the room. Ghost looked on in dismay as the female withdrew a sidearm pistol seemingly from nowhere, the hammer was already notched back and the hair trigger ready to be pulled, the safety switch was lifted and the chamber seemed to echo nothing but death for the masked man in a matter of moments. Ghost was leashed together with this woman who had wrapped the cable around her free arm tightening within her titan like clasp. "I will put a bullet through your skull as fast as anyone else, but with your last display there I am curious as to who you are." The woman taunted towards him as Ghost stood upright to face down his adversary. It would seem that I’ve underestimated this one, I didn’t expect her to foresee my attack it was almost inhuman in a way or she’s perhaps recklessly lucky to guess such a thing, Ghost puzzled outwardly in his mind as his fingers tightened at his end of the poltergeists noose within his overcoat. “Call me the Ghost,” Ghost answered simply in response to this question, he owed this villainous witch his persona’s name to protect his incognito persona’s identity but that didn’t seem to be relevant in this situation with the sidearm within her hand pointing so perilously close towards him.

"Take off that silly mask, boy. I don't want to miss..." the villainous rogue demanded before Ghost who simply remarked in response, “all the more reason to keep it on then,” the masked man responded coldly as he began to calculate his chances for a response and only one gamble would come to his mind in this situation, it was time to test his luck. Ghosts hand that was so firmly grasping the rope with his modified muscles beginning to contract with inhumanly might upon the strand Ghost twisted his hips to pull his whole body to the left, his feet darted to face the direction that he twisted upon to cause his whole body to circulate with the power and face the individual once again. This grinding tug would not only temporarily place him out of the pistols scope but with the twist he would wrench the strand that was wired around the females wrist, if Ghost was lucky and his might was outmatching that of the adversary that stood before him it may cause her to lose balance upon her feet after all her footwear wasn’t designed to support such a shift of momentum. Now! Ghost bellowed to himself within the confines of his mind as his spare hand found the noosed end of the cable bringing it forth from the confines of the overcoat.

In hardly a dash of the moment the noose was shot forward from Ghosts grasp with perfect accuracy towards the throat of the individual that stood before him, if it was successful and he was able to place this fashionable necktie around the woman’s throat he would pull upon the centre of the noose to retract the wiring to restrict the breathing of the mortal creature or if she did trying to subdue her through the python forced crushing sensation around the windpipe to literally ‘choke out’ this individual, if the noose however, did not manage to fit it’s looped fingers around the throat of the woman Ghost would simply then curse to himself for his misfortune and roll behind the closes stable ruins which would be a pile of debris that the truck had caused upon entry in its most dynamic fashion which he could cloak himself from the inevitable return fire.

Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus) Empty Re: Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus)

Post by Elena Vexus November 2nd 2011, 7:20 pm

All the more reason to keep it on then said the kid to her asking him to take it off. Bravery, good for him. Maybe this little scrimage would prove slightly entertaining to her, she was in no rush. The cops were taken care of, and if they didn't want to lose the other half of their force, they would stay away. This little bug was the only one left and she could toy with him for a bit, might be fun.
Elena did a little spin trick with the gun before speaking and putting it away.
"Heh, I have no current agenda, I'll play with you for a--!!!"
Elena was cut off as she lost her balance when her opponent made a quick run for it while he was holding tight onto this rope and force a change in momentum on her. She cursed under her breath for her obsession with wearing heels constantly, they were never good for a fight. When Elena was knocked off balance her vision was momentarily directed down, and when she looked back up, the rest of this cable was heading straight for her. She stepped back and let go of her end of the cord as it quickly wrapped around her neck and began to constrict her airways. This is where Vexus came up with a plan. She grabbed onto the cord around her neck and began pulling at it weakly trying to get it off, making sounds like she was gasping for breath. Elena fell to one knee and started to reach for her gun with one hand as her eyes started to close, she had it in her hand and was bringing it up ready to shoot and the man draining her life away. But suddenly, there was a last exhaling breath and her body went limp and she fell to the floor. It seemed as if her body gave up on the struggle as she lay there. She collapsed face first into the ground, her right arm that had been holding the gun was extended out and the gun had slid away towards her opponent. Her left hand was tucked underneath her body out of sight.
Thought it may have seemed that the pink haired fiend had been defeated, it was quite the contrary. Elena had her infra red sensors on and was still monitoring 'The Ghosts' moves, and she was still very much alive. In her current state, Elena did not need oxygen to survive so the show that she had just put on was just a detailed and dramatic act. Vexus had even planned out how she would fall, her left hand was positioned perfectly by her chest next to the grenades. All this fool needed to do was confirm her death, and it would be all over for him. Even if he decided to not finish the job, she could continue on with her mission without any more pesky annoyances.

Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus) Empty Re: Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus)

Post by The Ghost November 2nd 2011, 9:05 pm

Strangulation, the poltergeists noose looped around the throat of its unlucky victim throttling it from all oxygen, it would eviscerate the travelling flow of oxygen towards the lungs along with preventing its flow cycling towards the brain on the average human. The snake like strand of the cord quivered within the air between the Ghost and the captive that he held leashed through the neck as the loop of the noose constricted into the airways in the throat trying to suffocate this person from a lack of oxygen in order to make her body become frail, useless and unable to cope with the pressure of being conscious with the lack of flow within the mind and lungs. Ghosts hands grasped the cord so tightly that his fingers were becoming with the cutting sensation into the flesh for this abomination had one of the strongest throats that he had ever had the misfortune to come across when using this method in the past. This victim struggled and writhed with torment looking like some bazaar dervish but the more she struggled the tighter the constriction drew upon the throat, Ghost felt a shiver run down his spine as he gazed upon the woman making blood curdling choking wretches, attempting to suck in any strand of oxygen that could be infiltrated within her gaping mouth, yet something was odd to Ghost or something out of place, it was normally at this stage that the complexion of the victim began to change becoming red or purple as the luck of blood began to strangulate the color from their bodies, Ghost couldn’t find anything of the sort taking a hold of this woman even as she gave deep shuddering gasps for the tiniest molecule of oxygen. Ghost was no fool he could tell many telling signs that were pointing to a façade, the ability to absorb the shock of explosions along with the force of a truck and performing an act of desperation from merely a strangulating cord without the fluttering show of internal body functions suffering; something was deeply misplaced in this situation.

Falling to one knee the woman reached out desperately for her weapon, in her desperate attempt to try and reach the pistol to take some final shots towards the man in the mask before she fell off the precipice of consciousness falling into oblivion. Clasping the handle of the weapon within her grasp she brought the pistol shuddering with every movement in her vanity of losing supposed oxygen, Ghosts muscles braced as he was stranded out within the open confines with no cover to shield from the shot even though if she was truly losing oxygen her shot could hardly be considered accurate under that much interference Ghost told himself to calm his nerves, it took all of his concentration to keep the constriction tightening with every glimpsing moment. Suddenly the death rattle of the last gasp hissed through the air as the woman’s eyes drifted upwards into the back of her head revealing nothing but the whites of the unconscious, her hand drifted over the belted stacks of grenades as she slumped forward like a submitted dog to the leash, the gun scattered along the ground drifting out of her grasp from the sudden deathly shock that ripped through her body. Thank god, I thought that bullet would be my last, Ghost sighed deeply within his mind as his legs shifted forward out of the bent knees stance that had provided much of the pulling power upon the noose, the sapphire blue eyes drifted downwards through the sockets of the mask and looked upon the vile harpy that lay motionless upon the ground.

She must have some inclination of why she was here, Ghost pondered to himself, walking forward with his caked in blood from the long smooth cut across his shoulder the masked man stood over the now deceased foe. Slipping his boot sideways along the weaponry that had come so close to withdrawing his life, Ghost simply knocked the gun far out of reach sliding underneath a labyrinth of broken wood as well as shattered concrete. The masked man walked over to the pockets of the woman which he could only locate on the lower sections of the female a small slip of paper was sticking out of the back pocket that beckoned to Ghost invitingly, keeping as much distance as possible from the dead Ghost plucked forth the note from the pocket and replaced it with a gift of his own, sliding out of the cuff of his overcoat a small little semi circle the shape of a penny rolled into the pocket with the lightest touch possible. This small little eye listened in directly into the readings of the individual that it was in close proximity to any sound of movement or rustling would instantly be transmitted into the receiver of Ghost, unlatching the noose to boot he coiled his armaments placing it within the overcoat once again, Ghost turned his back upon the woman walking away for the exit before more of the police showed up onto the situation as they surely would in time. Unfolding the note in the process the sapphire blue eyes darting across the note absorbing the information that was upon the pages. Ghost didn’t check her vital signs for two reasons one would be that he didn’t believe in killing and confirmation of her death would only weighted his soul the second reason was he didn’t trust the little harpy to pull a stunt with that oddly confusing death considering on what she had survived beforehand.

Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus) Empty Re: Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus)

Post by Elena Vexus November 4th 2011, 4:43 pm

Elena could tell that this kid was not falling for her act, so at least he had some brains in him. Even though her eyes were closed, she had her infra red vision on and was monitoring this guy's every move. He slowly approached her and then took the piece of paper in her back pocket that contained information on the piece of technology that she needed to retrieve for her boss, Nightkill. Smart kid once again, though Vexus could only blame this blunder on herself for not destroying the paper after she had memorized its contents. But it would be no matter, if this child posed any problems in the future, Elena could deal with him herself... As a matter of fact, why spare the trouble and just take care of it now? She climbed to her feet and pulled a string on the belt of grenades strapped over her shoulder pulling out all six of the pins. The tiny pieces of metal hit the ground, the sound oh them hopefully getting this masked vigilante's attention. Now she had a tiny window before these bombs went on, Elena took them off her shoulder and held them in her hand as she began walking closer to the escaping hero.
"Well that was a close one, wouldn't you agree? But you know what they say, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades..." and with that, she whipped the belt of six grenades towards her soon to be former opponent.
Vexus didn't take the time to stop and watch the fireworks, as she did last time with the police force. She turned and made a powerful stride straight towards a large machine in the corner of the factory which had surprisingly sustained minimal damage. Before she even took a few steps, she heard and felt the explosion of the grenades she threw just seconds earlier. According to the blue prints, what she was looking for was hidden inside the machine. She removed the gun she had strapped over her body and started working at the metal, she was tearing off the pieces of metal that she could with her hands and other points she would punch in and weaken first with repeated strikes. Elena finally reached the part in which hid the secret piece of technology she was looking for. It was something like a computer chip and would assist Nightkill and Elena greatly in the construction of their quantum computer. She grabbed it, and in a very odd and mechanical nature her abdomen opened up revealing a small space that contained a couple hand guns and rounds of ammunition. She placed the computer chip safely in there and closed the area up. Vexus began making her way to the side of the crumbling factory where the cops had been, off in the distance she could see a garbage truck approaching. Her ride out. She smiled successfully as she slowly and carefully made her way through the wreckage of cop cars and bodies. It would still be a couple of minutes before her ride arrived, but everything had been dealt with. Elena Vexus did know about tracking device that this masked man placed in her pocket, but found it best not to show anything, she could probably use it to her advantage a little later. That is, if her little friend survived the explosion from earlier...

Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus) Empty Re: Overtime in the factories (Elena Vexus)

Post by The Ghost November 4th 2011, 6:17 pm

The Ghost stood in the tranquil ground unfolding the scavenges of paper within the tightly knotted note, all the while attaching an earpiece that would link him into the haunt in case of a surprise ambush, the note was heavily burned with entire corners completely eradicated by the constant buffeting of bullets along with the explosions that had decimated the building. Ghosts eyes darted across the page from left to right memorizing each instruction of the page within the confines of his mind, the words were concealed with numbers in various codes that would detail the objective of the person; Ghost stood analysing the sequence of numbers in conjunction with the alphabet in appropriate order to retrieve the location. Due to a lifetime spent in covert operations, assassinations along with information retrieval this child’s plaything of a code was easily decoded in a matter of seconds, the component was a chip in the confines of the computers that had data analysis of these kinds of factories. What do they want with this thing? It’s not even a full component it’s just some spare data on about the instruments they make in this factory, the product isn’t even assembled here, this must just be a link in the chain. Ghost processed within the confines of his mind wondering just how far this woman, no.. This cold armoured machine had gone down this rabbit hole. Ghost folded the piece of paper and pocketed it just as soon as the haunt that he had so deviously placed within the clothing of the robot in the hopes of tracking their team members if they came to collect the scrap metal, or in this case of a scenario the confines of her internal confines shimmered as the creaking of body moved the motion was almost deafening to Ghost’s ear as the haunt transmitted it to his earpiece.

The sound of her footsteps clambering onto the ground echoed dimly within the feigned tranquillity of the destruction of the room. Ghost’s face turned to see the devil it’s self writhe from the pits of hell with armaments strapped to her chest, Ghost blue eyes shimmered through the black eye sockets as he watched the her arm move upwards over the six small explosive grenades tied to belts upon her chest, “Oh, Crap.” Ghost sighed out loud as each of the pins dropped like silvery droplets mirroring the torrential weather outside that pounded off the rooftops around them, it dripped down onto the scenario through the holes caused by the destruction that had ensued upon this place. ‘tip, tap, tip’ the small sound of metal touching concrete clattered around the room more deafening the loudest explosion as the grenades lay paralysed upon the belt awaiting for the reaction to conclude in an explosive ending. "Well that was a close one, wouldn't you agree? But you know what they say; close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades..." The woman jeered as Ghost turned towards the exit of the factory bolting with all the power that his muscles could muster, Ghost ran with the speed that would put any legendary Olympian to shame but the woman had unfastened the belt from her figure and launch it like a cannon towards Ghost. BOOM! the room trembled as the six grenades exploded in the already ruined room, the cacophony of noise ripped through the oxygen upon the atmosphere as Ghosts ears instantly rung with the sheer deafening noise that no humans ears should be subjected to. Ghost had luck on his side however, the woman has blathered her triumph speech before launching the grenades letting them explode as one just out of range to not perform a killing blow straight away however, the drifting flames from six grenades in conjunction was a difficult thing to avoid.

The masked man withdrew the poltergeists noose for the second time in the day, leaping upwards through the air his eyes dropped upon the steel door still cradled over the body as a springboard, just that it was pointing in the different direction. The heat licked at his back as the flames as if in slow motion tried to engulf him within the fiery fury of oblivion, it’s scorching heat along with its deafening noise made it hard to keep conscious, if it wasn’t for the filters located within the mask Ghost would of already passed out of the atmospheric chemicals being distributed by the grenades or exploding chemicals within the facilities. Bounding off the makeshift springboard Ghost reached unparallel height taking aim at the framework of the door that’s locking system was located within the top of the rim of the mechanised door. Ghost threw his noose with the most devastating circumstances or at least in the top ten moments of his career. Gloriously the noose managed to entangle it’s way around the small power box and entrap it’s self so tightly into the framework that the casing began to etch grooves within it, the masked man used the momentum yielded to him by the jump to swing from the noose like an ape would a vine completing an entire arc into the outside following through to such a degree that he completed an entire a full one eighty. Drifting through the air in a graceful back summersault with the rope tightly clasped within both of the vigilantes numb hands, he found his feet land onto the rooftop of the building as the fire burst from the doorframe licking it’s smoking breath along with its putrid smell. The emblazoned orange glow occurring from the flames ignited the whole area illuminating the blood of the fallen cops along with the ruins, the black noose became disentangled as the small box disintegrated however, the noose wasn’t flammable due to its unique weave of materials as Ghost dragged it upwards he allowed the cold air along with the rain dampen the heated coils before pocketing it. Ghost looked up to the on pour of rain attributing it to the reason why he didn’t ignite on fire at once the drifting rain drops before the encounter had drenched the clothing in so much water that the fire couldn’t ignite him from such a range despite the heat.

Ghost sat down onto the rooftop holding the overcoat over the chest with the information tightly encircled within the clothing, the night was still young after all and there was work to be done. Looking down onto the ground Ghost saw the protruding woman from the building targeting a passing by garbage truck for delivery, it dawned on him not to proceed as he would need more tampered equipment to put that one down for the count for no mark of the poltergeists noose left any mark upon her throat yielding either very great skin care while she was laying on the floor, or the fact that it could instantly regenerate which would explain the clean wounds after gun shots as well. “Till we meet again, whatever you are." Ghost whispered to himself as the truck departed, the tracking sonar upon Ghosts person would be able to track the location to where she would inevitably go to at some point, but just scratching the surface of this puzzling conundrum of a woman’s abilities the vigilantly couldn’t be certain if it could be relied upon. One thing was certain for this night however, he knew what types of locations they were targeting along with the equipment that they intended to retrieve after some further analysis he could perhaps solve the riddle of what they were seeking in a long term goal perhaps. Ghost looked around at the hundreds of factories that this age had brought to the world, this is going to take a long time. The masked man sighed to himself as he leaped from the building ready to dispose of potentially harmful hardware or software, analyse the information and perhaps stop a few criminals along the way but one thing was certain. The night was young and the haunting had just begun.
