Personality: Ava Sinclair is a healer; but she doesn't really do people. She will often be cool and distanced slightly from patients (that she is treating medically) and people she meets alike, but when she does open up and she seems to be a rather intelligent if not silly person. Social situations feel awkward to her, but she tends to use her Psychotherapy degree to break the ice and relax. However, in sessions as a Therapist, she becomes deeply different. She appears patient, open and friendly, but not overtly. She will wait for someone to tell her what is wrong, rather than pry too quickly or harshly. She has a strong emotional bond with her father but deeply misses her mother.

She does have one odd flaw; she imagines that because of the Robotic Prosthetics, she cannot perform surgery or delicate procedures with her human hand. This melts away quickly when she's in a real emergency situation, but if she is consciously trying to keep still she will make small twitching motions. She complains sometimes of phantom limb pain, but has come to accept it as being apart of her condition. Sometimes, she can seem a little absorbed with work, or life, often leading her to have small breaks from the people around where she composes herself again. These can occur to be a day or week long, and only occur when she's very stressed.

History: Ava Sinclair was the daughter of Anastasia Ricci and Martin Sinclair, the first being a Doctor while the Latter worked for a Pharmaceutical company. The two met in a ballroom in Italy and were wed half a year later. Anastasia got a job at the Massachusetts General in Boston, where Martin began to work for a small company that he helped finance. Within five years, Anastasia had become a leading Doctor and Martin was now running Sinclair Pharmaceuticals, an independent company that tried to compete while maintaining an “honest and fair” work ethic. It was around this time that the two of them began trying for a baby. They didn't have to wait long before Ava was on the way.

Ava Sinclair was born with a full head of black hair and two brown eyes. She was a perfectly normal and healthy baby, that grew into a normal and healthy child. She learned to speak slightly earlier than usual and it was obvious that she would be more educated than other children. What was left to be decided was whether or not she threw herself into studies or not. It turned out to be unbiased; Ava took to biology like a fish to water. When she was five, Ava was often called the “Little Nurse.” It was around this time that Anastasia became sick.

Anastasia was suffering from a Motor Neuron Disease that she had been secretly diagnosed with when Ava was two. Steadily, the strong Italian woman that the little healer idolised became weaker and weaker, before she finally spent days laying in bed unable to get up. Martin made her excessively comfortable and tried multiple experimental drugs and procedures to slow or halt the progressive disease. This continued on for nearly three years, until one night she simply passed away.

Ava spent a few years in therapy, but she didn't become a problem child or excessively depressed. In fact, the whole thing seemed to make her more determined; she wanted to prevent people from dying like her mother did, leaving grieving families behind. This idea was implanted firmly in her young mind and as she grew older and older she focused her life on becoming a Doctor. Her father supported her closely, getting her into a private school and then paying for a Harvard Medical School education. She continued to study and earn degrees even after leaving school to work at The Massachusetts General. Her father pulled strings for her to work there, but she earned her pay check.

So impressed with her skills, the Chief Of Medicine sent her to a New York convention. While wondering the city one night, trying to relax after a long day of panels and slide shows, Ava accidentally got caught in the crossfire between a Superhero and Supervillain. The Hero, trying to defend himself, hit a car out of the way that had been thrown by the Villain. Ava was in the wrong place at the wrong time, because it hit her and scrapped her alongside a building. In a single night, Ava Sinclair lost both legs, an arm, an eye and various teeth and bones.

Martin nearly lost his mind when he heard the news and immediately flew to New York. While sitting beside the bedside of a daughter he couldn't really recognised, he tried everything he could to contact companies for emergency prosthetics. Only one company really rapidly responded. Clement Industries sent a woman named Elizabeth Jules. She patiently explained the very anxious father that there was a few modern prosthetics that could be permanently grafted on, but that the entire procedure would hold risks and could possibly mean major “remodelling” of her nervous system. Martin agreed, signing a non-disclosure agreement and a contract, which defined the “Terms of Use.” Ava was moved to a private facility and placed into a chemical coma for two weeks, as extensive remodelling of her body took place. Nerve endings were insulated and became wires, while her spinal chord was replaced with synthetics. A new eye was grafted into her skull, with it's own set of Microprocessors.

After finally awakening, Ava suffered a slight personality quirk. She attempted to force herself free of the facility but her limbs were simply turned off remotely, which paralysed her. She hurled abuse at her father, at Miss Jules and at a number of technicians, before she was placed back in therapy. It took a much longer time for Ava to adjust back to normal levels, especially when she found that her now only organic hand wouldn't stay still as she attempted precise movements with it. To this day she blames Clement Industries for stopping her from continuing a career of Surgery, while trying to deny the fact that it might exist solely as a mental problem. She tried to sue, but was made aware of the fact that if she did, the Terms of Use contract meant they would be at liberty to remove the limbs and eye and not return them.

After a brief period of recovery with her father in Boston, Ava tried to access her life. She could have blamed medicine for failing to save Anastasia, while going too far to save her, but she felt it wasn't the root of her accident. Instead, she focused on the Superhuman community. She decided that this was something she could change; after all, it seemed like a disease. Costumes and Rivalries were based around Powers. Heroes and Villains stemmed solely from men and women who could do things that others couldn't. And perhaps didn't really understand how to use those abilities. So Ava decided she'd dedicate the rest of her life to becoming a Doctor to the Villains and Heroes of Earth. She returned to Harvard and this time studied Psychotherapy. Since then, she has been attempting to set up a Clinic free of US law to serve all superpowered beings.

Powers: Ava has no naturally gifted powers, beyond an intelligence earned through intense study and a wealthy parent. She has numerous degrees in two fields; Medicine and Psychotherapy. Clement Industries' Robotic Prosthetic division Limbs give her low superhuman strength, speed and endurance, but only in the limbs themselves. She also has one mechanical eye which acts as a small computer, allowing her access to the internet and also any medical records she has saved on file.
