Personality: Regal… that’s the first thing many think when they meet him face to face. He knows how to get people to do what he wants, how would he have gotten so close in conquering the world otherwise? He remains calm in just about every situation, his face nearly emotionless... this easily scared those around him since you never knew if he was going to kill you or promote you... of course, he is even scarier when he actually gets pissed. At that point, he shows absolutely no mercy, making sure to kill you in the most painful way possible. He is very confident and arrogant, knowing how to make others feel stupid with a few well placed words and glances. He knows he is nearly invincible and that made him a bit more careless then he thought, which was what brought his downfall in the end.

Over the years of imprisonment, he knows his weaknesses much better, the years of solitude making him think over all of his choices. His greed has grown considerably, as his years of lack have made him wanting... well... just about everything... especially energy. His growing thirst for power and his new learned introspection makes him even more dangerous. He also realized exactly why he wants power… why he needs it. He hungers for the respect power brings, something he sees as the next best thing to acceptance, something he has lacked all his life. This revelation troubles him… so he buries it, trying to forget. But sooner or later, everything is uncovered.

The years of solitude have left another mark upon him, a touch of madness. Nofuretsu is now quite volatile to say the least. Occasionally, all his emotions will simply rush out in a big jumbled mess of feelings. There is not one trigger and it can happen over the smallest things but the easiest way to make him lose his cool is to simply make him angry. This makes him volatile and sometimes quite irrational. Nofuretsu hates this change in himself, and struggles with this wild card, as it make him more vulnerable then he likes. But hey, even he can’t avoid going mad after all those years.

History: The spirit inside was once a powerful metahuman who worked to conquer the world with his powers. He nearly succeeded in his quest of conquest, but he was defeated by a hero. Unfortunately, both of their true names are now lost in the sands of time. Either way though, his spirit was sealed in his own cuff. Legends of this cuff grew, as it was believed to still contain the energy of its former owner. Many have hoped to harness its legendary power, but none of succeeded. He absorbs the energy of all who manage to find it and put it on, hoping to use that energy to get free of its prison.

Despite the number of people he's killed, he is not even halfway to his goal of freedom. As he has long forgotten the ancient law... everything is most potent when given willingly. Despite this, he has gained enough energy to manifest in physical form, allowing him to draw even more seekers towards him. And so he bides his time, waiting until he can be free of his prison, waiting until he can unleash his wrath on the world again… After he eats anyways.

Before world domination though, he was born the bastard son of a soon to be powerful leader. But because of the circumstances of his birth, he was never claimed. So he spent his childhood in poverty and squalor, ignorant of his true heritage. But there was always something different about the child, an air of regality and superiority. He soon became a leader among the children of his village, his intelligence and calmness under pressure making him stand out. But even at that age, he had no compassion for those “beneath” him, maybe caused by the fact that he never truly belonged and he knew it.

When he was about 10, his mother became ail with a disease no one has seen. They did their best to treat her but she was soon at the threshold of death. One day, when the young child came home, an extravagant carriage was parked outside, bearing the coat of arms of the king himself. Going inside, he found his mother dead and the King standing over her body. The king then turned towards the boy, revealing everything. At first, he was shocked, but then, he felt a cold, icy anger start to grow within him. Anger over the fact that they were forced to live in poverty, anger over the fact his “father” never tried to help, anger for abandoning the two. But still, when the King offered to take the boy as a ward, he accepted, already planning his revenge.

As he lived in court, he realized that he wasn’t really wanted. Rumors circulated about his origin and wherever he went, he was greeted with hostility. Even his own father treated him like a burden, ignoring him whenever possible. Even more angered by this, he soon acted on his plans and killed the King, took over the kingdom... and I think you know the rest.

Powers:
Energy Manipulation
Nofuretsu is able to absorb most forms of energy and store it in his body. He can then use it to make energy blasts or heal. Unfortunately, he can only store so much energy. If he stores too much, he’ll explode from the excess energy. Some forms of energy he can use are: kinetic, heat, light, etc.

Currently, he has no access to his powers.

Character Image/Description: Normally, he's just an invisible spirit inside the cuff. Once someone puts him on though, he manifests as a dark energy. He is also able to manifest physically as a rat.

“Come along now James, we’re getting close… I can feel it.” The man smirked, looking through the dark cavern. His companion shuddered slightly, ever since they had entered this place… he had not seen one living thing. This unsettle him very much, unfortunately though, his boss either didn’t notice or didn’t care.

“Yes sir…” he muttered in reply.

Satisfied in the response, the alpha of the two continued moving deeper and deeper into the cave. Suddenly, the man noticed a flash of movement at his feet. He jumped back before suddenly laughing. “It’s a rat… a rat!” The rat peered up at the two men before starting to scramble away. At about five feet away, it stopped, as if waiting for them to follow. “Hey… I think it’s leading us James!” The man started to follow the rat.

“Wait… I think it’s a trap.”

“Nonsense, how could that be?”

James sighed… he had forgotten how stupid his boss could be… but what other choice did he have but to follow? He didn’t know the way back, that was made sure of. The rat ran ahead, with both men following. They watched as the rat disappeared around the corner. They quickly turned, and found themselves a big room filled with nothing but treasure. The rat was gone. Despite the wealth though, one thing quickly caught both men’s eyes. It was a silver cuff sitting on a pedestal in the middle of the room. It was intricately carved with a black stone set in the center. Around it was the engraving of a silver rat.

The man smiled. “This is it! We’ve found it!” With that, he ran over to the cuff and put it on. “It… it’s working!” the man smiled as he started to glow, he felt power rush in to him, he could take over the world with this! He could kill ever---

“No… no. what… what is this…” The man collapsed, feeling his energy suddenly being drained. And before James could even blink, his boss was engulfed by what could only be described as dark energy. He stood there, paralyzed from shock. And as fast as the energy appeared, it was gone, leaving nothing behind but the cuff..

James simply stood still for a moment, his mind trying to register what had just happened. Then, a smile appeared on his lips. It was finally his moment! His boss had failed the test but he always knew that he was better! The cuff seemed to beckon for him to put it on, as if saying that HE was the true owner. Smiling, James picked it up and slipped it on. And with that…

Nofuretsu sighed, people were so predictable, so blinded by their greed and jealousy. It was amusing really. Still, it brought victims… and that’s what counted. The most recent two were surprisingly strong, maybe they had outside help. Either way though, he knew that he was close to the next stage of breaking the seal… whatever the next stage was. But he could wait for the answer; he had been waiting for a very long time. And once he was out… he could reinstate himself as ruler again, and gain the respect he deserves.

Just a note... You will need EP for Energy manipulation. Also you're going to need to state your weaknesses and such because there is a lot of energy out there ^_^ But so far it looks good! Let me know when you're done.
