Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Aurora the Abnormal
Real Name: Aurora Tivona
Super Hero Name: Terra
Title: Twiggy
Alignment: Hero
Age: 150 (Looks about 35 but can appear older or younger depending on her mood)
Gender: Female
Race: Dyrad
Hair: Auburn.
Eyes: Green
Height: 5ft 2
Weight: 110 pounds
Costume Description/Image: -Same as physical appearance; see that for details.-
Personality: Aurora is a very friendly girl and she has reason to trust everyone until they prove themselves unworthy of that trust. She’s always happy to make a friend but only a few become strong enough she considers Kin or Kirtth and when she does she has a sudden strong protective streak in her. It takes a lot to anger Aurora but when she’s pissed – oh man she’s pissed. If she is done wrong by she won’t hesitate to get revenge though if someone hurts a friend or Kin she will attack without much thought. Other than those rare occasions she is a thoughtful, quiet girl who enjoys to read and research things. With no official education she had learned most from observing the humans living and is fluent in over 5 languages: her own, English, French, Cherokee, Dutch, Irish and Spanish. She is a peaceful girl and likes to think of a plan before carrying out – unless she’s mad.
History: Dyrads aren’t born like normal creatures are and neither are they created in a laboratory. Dryads are Spiritual women who are born with the tree they are joined to. Aurora’s tree was planted and grew to maturity in the 1900s giving birth to a loving and caring Dryad called Aurora. In the 1900s a lot of forest in America still stood but it was being cut down quickly to accommodate room for the growing population. Seeing her fellow’s die over the years Aurora became mad with how humans were treating nature. She began to take revenge. When trucks came to try and up root her tree she sent them flying off of her hands, she crushed the lumps of metal with the weight of the old roots of her tree, opened the Earth under their feet and made it swallow them whole. Soon the people began to believe the site was haunted and decided the tree was the source of the problem. One of the builders became crazed with the tree and the witchy spirit within. In the dead of night he picked up and axe and drunkenly went out to face the spirit alone. He caught her by surprise and managed to chop of one of the low branches before she awoke and killed the man in cold blood, thinking no more of it until his lover visited the site the next day and what she said moved Aurora.
“I know he wasn’t the best of men, and I know he must have gone because he needed to, but Spirit don’t you think you’ve done enough? One man’s blood already stain this soil, don’t let more seep into your roots and ruin you to.”
Aurora had shown herself to the woman and thrown herself in front of her, for her to take revenge on her for the pain she had caused. But the woman took pity on her instead and told her to help instead of to hurt. Aurora changed her life from then on and dedicated to make the area she lived in a beauty spot where the woman could bring her children and they could bring theirs.
As the population grew, Aurora slipped from the confines of her tree more and more to study the humans around her. She felt alone in the world and wished for comfort of people like her. She began to exercise her powers. She helped children when parents weren’t looking; brushing stuck kites from her leaves back to their hands or winding branches round their little waists to keep them from hurting themselves. She even began to show herself more in an Earthen form, a human look-alike with dark rough skin and bright green eyes. People thought she was the grounds keeper.
One day though, someone threatened to destroy the peace she had worked for in these lands. A robber, fleeing from the bank cut through her park with the cops following. Having nowhere to run he had grabbed a child and threatened it. The little girl who Aurora had come to love and care for like the other children was terrified and anger boiled in her heart to see her used like that. Forgetting she was meant to be ‘human’ she turned into the Dryad she was at heart and used her Earthen powers to rip open the Earth under him and trap him in the soil, saving the child. Of course after that she was a Super-Hero but a freak. She wasn’t a cape and suited super hero, her body looked like bark though it was as soft as skin, and her hair was made of twigs and leaves. The home she had created was no longer home and she retreated into her tree. She had been among humans for so long but she was still naïve about them, she didn’t know the way they worked or why they were so hurtful but instead of the young anger she’d felt last time, she just felt scared an lonely.
Until Archibald showed up. The Ape was like her, had heard of her in the papers and came to offer her a place on a special team, for good people like her who would take care of the everyday people when the Big-Shoot guys were off hunting the Big-Baddies. Delighted, Aurora accepted and had made her way to their HQ, taking the chopped off branch with her – the only piece of her home she had left now.
Powers: She can control the very land you stand on if it is natural; flowers, trees, any type of plant or vegetation. She can kill it off, make it grow, shape it, control and give it a life, animate previously ‘lifeless’ things. She can get hurt and when she is wounded she is 'sucked' back to her tree (or branch) and stays there for a duration of time to heal. This basically means she will disappear when seriously injured, she can hold it off but if she was close to death her spirit would withdraw to the tree she came from. To kill her entirely you'd have to find her tree and burn all of it - even bits which had been chopped off right down to the last leaf. Natural things which hurt Earth will damage her.

Aurora was singing but not in a language anyone round here would know properly. It might sing to their bones, to the part of them that was still connected to the Earth. They could probably hear the Earthen magic, feel it hum through their bodies and call to their souls; but they would ignore it. Humans had begun years ago to turn their backs on their roots so to speak. Aurora smiled to herself at her little inner joke and her singing faded to a soft hum as she moved about her garden. HER garden, the one Archi had arranged for her. Her branch lived in her room, there was no bed, just a branched propped against the green wall. She paused but then went back to watering the flowers which bloomed under her touch. It would have been weird but the others hadn’t questioned her when she’d removed the bed and had transported flowers from the garden up to her room, encouraging them to grow up along the walls. She was accepted here not questioned. She smiled contently to herself. She was home now.

Re: Aurora the Abnormal
Alright, the application looks good. I've got almost no problems with it, but I have to pick at your powers just a little. Well controlling nature, plants, trees, vegetation, stuff like that, that's all fine, but you can't control the earth too, as in the ground, like bringing the earth up as you stated in your powers. You'll have to split EP, and I'm not sure if you'd want to do that. I'd consider that two different powers. In my opinion you'd be better off just keeping the control of nature instead of having 'earth' on top of it.
What color do you want for you grid?
You'll have to explain this a little better. It doesn't sound too fair.Ember_Fangs wrote:She can travel through the Earth to get to places.
You'll have to explain it a little better. What do you mean she is sucked backed into her tree or branch? Does she just disappear when she is weakened and go back to her tree? Or does she just fall over and transform into a branch/twig?Ember_Fangs wrote:She can get hurt and when she is wounded she is 'sucked' back to her tree (or branch) and stays there for a duration of time to heal. Re: Aurora the Abnormal
Got rid of Earth and explained the healing process: she does just disappear because of the tie she has to her tree, it's like an unconsciousness so when humans pass out this is her inequivalent.
And Green please =D

Re: Aurora the Abnormal
Well, that makes defeating and capturing you as a villain nearly impossible. I like the idea of just turning into a twig/branch more than simply disappearing into a tree far away from the battle/scenario at hand. It's kind of humorous and it still allows you to be captured/defeated like any other character.
I'll get to your grid soon.
I'll get to your grid soon.

Re: Aurora the Abnormal
Well she usually has her branch with her at all time, it isn't that big so it'd look like she had just turned into one but obviously not. Wherever the branch goes she goes. o-o;
