Coronel Liffy

Its been a few years into the making but the States have come to create their own Hadron Collider at a well known institute for producing top physicist. A few scientist had received funding to work on the increase of testing of subatomic particles in order to find new particles. Thanks to the the testing and funding they could fire the Hadron Collider as early as every 2 weeks. The expansion into the future was a pressed matter and test were conducted as often as they were allowed. Until one day a break through came about.

"Dr. Connor its time to run the test. The staff is waiting for you in the briefing room." said a man in business like attire as he spoke to the female scientist who was currently writing reports at her desk. She winced over and on her face a piece of jelly covered bread hung from her mouth as she looked passed her office wall. Bighting down the toast landed on a plate and she reached over and grabbed her mug finishing off some mildly warm coffee and washing down her food. "Alright I'm coming. Let me arrange a few notes; I'll meet you and Dr. Larson in 10 minutes." she said as her arms scurried across he desk grabbing up a pile of notes and sticking them into a vanilla folder. "Yes Mam. I'll head up first and let him know." He turned out the door it closing itself slowly behind him. He hurried over to the briefing room which took a few minutes to move through the large facility.

As he arrived he knocked on the door and waited until he was instructed in. He opened the door and spoke "Dr. Connor is on her way. She said she would need a few minutes to get her notes and she would be here right after." "Oh did she now? I'm surprised she's not sitting this one out. This will be our 12th failed attempt this year. It's getting kind of boring doing more paper work than test. Sometimes I feel i jumped the gun on this profession." He talked with a worn face of being over worked and would shake his wrist in a matter to show his ache. It was common to get carpel tunnel from writing to much even at early ages. With the green light he lifted himself off the table and looked around. "Alright begin prepping test E12. We will go over measurements and readings before Dr. Connor arrives." The people stationed begin to move around by the instructions and dove into action bringing the Hadron Collider online.

As Dr. Connor arrived she pushed the door open and was greeted in the room by her colleague. Opening her folder she handed him a few papers and would go on to talk about the test they would be attempting. As he glanced over the paper he would move to a control panel where a few other workers were sitting. With the paper in hand he would point telling them to drop the pressures on this dial and increase these parameters on their screen. With the paper as a guide the collider was ready and waited for the final input. Dr. Connor and Dr. Larson gave the readings another look before telling them to fire. With the collider in full swing the gauges didn't appear to move much. Everything stayed normal until a brief second in. One of the gauges spiked and went back to normal. Unless they were looking at it at the time it would go on to never be seen. Thanks to no one noticing and stopping the collider it started making new unorthodox readings. As the gauges started to move chaotically they issued an immediate stop to the machine. As it powered down a new particle was discovered and the machine began to go into mayhem. It would stay powered on a bit longer which turned into crisis as they fear for the worst. With an unknown outcome there could be a large collapse or even worse a large chain explosion. As they made an attempt to stop the machine they activated a hollow cylinder. The Vacuum in the chamber started to dissipate as air was slowly pumped in to create light friction and a solid metal was used to intercept the beam. It was a huge success. After slowing the particles down and mysteriously the long hollow cylinder had captured some of the new particle inside.

What almost turned into disaster was now and overwhelming success as they celebrated a discovery of a new particle. As they began to isolate it off, the more that it was forced by itself the more it would start to glow a purplish radioactive like light and turn into a liquid. The only concerning thing was even though it emitted light it had no signs of being radioactive and besides the container the liquid was weightless, but this huge success would be followed up with a call a couple months after. As there was no strides for accomplishment they were ordered to run numerous test. The exposure to other elements and the injection into mice. The elements that were subject would do absolutely nothing even if it had characteristics of being highly reactive, but the mice would swell up and burst as if the consistency was to much for the small body. The same experiment would also be tried on chimps and still take the same effect as the mice. After more failures came more calls, it was time for human testing, but instead of starting with a live host they would start with a dead host. It would help them see if the liquid would also force the corpse to expand and blow up or if a body of a human had the right mass to contain the liquid.

As a body was brought in it was roughly that of a man who had passed and was signed on as an organ donor. The background had no family ties and little to no friends. He serums to an accident one night after drinking and driving. Through a few strings being pulled by higher officials the body was move to a morgue and then transferred to a lab. The body was place on a gurney with large straps to keep the body in place from falling off. In the room the doctor picked up a recording log and spoke into a portable recorder. They called out another experiment number and proceeded to document all the steps that were taken. They pulled out a syringe with the weightless purple liquid and pushed it into the skin. The syringe broke through and stopped midway into a vein. The liquid was force into the body and then the doctor retreated behind a shield as such to not get covered if the body swelled again. They stood behind the wall watching the body and jotting down new information. The body was not swelling as the others did so. The liquid slowly mixed with the blood as the body laid motionless on the table. After a good while it was safe to say the desired mass was met and the information was again recorded. They could now try further testing on a living, willing person who needed money or maybe on a prisoner. None the less this was yet another break through into finding out what the liquid is.

Suddenly the body on the table jolted as if hit with a defibrillator; it frantically struggled to move about as the once corpse was again moving and looking around. Everything was foreign and would put the man in fear to a point a psychokinetic burst would crush the table and tear apart the restraints. He would loose consciousness allowing for others to come in and regain control. With the body lying on the floor they rushed over to check a pulse. However they felt nothing and leaning a ear on the chest they heard nothing, but the body was sluggishly moving. They took this time to find stronger restraints and to place him in a storage room that could not be broken easily. As more time passed the body would remain lifeless, but still showed signs of life with its agitated movements as if it was in a nightmare. What was not seen to the eye was the liquid in the body finally getting to a point of full merger where the vessel had completely fused with the alien material. With the reports that were given to the higher up they were tasked with trying to control the vessel of the liquid to keep it in a form of anti rebellion.

Test on the body continued and with each test another device was either in-bedded into or strapped upon the body to increase their possibility of control. This however was all in vain as during another test the vessel would regain consciousness. In another state of panic he lashed out seeing the items in his skin and seeing the dark room he was being operated in. The sight of his chest cut open was too much a panic and with the same power that crushed the bed forced the body to float in the air. With an instinctive roar the power went out of control and forced every device out of his body smashing the costly tech to smash into pieces around him. His body would immediately begin to stitch itself back and repair any damage as he set himself on the floor with his head hanging low. He looked up enraged by the action and ripped through anyone around him causing multiple guards and doctors to be delt a quick painless death. He forced the doors open into the hall and fled until he located a map that was strung up in the middle of the corridor. Looking it over he understood he was being held 15 floors underground. He looked up and with a push of his hand a light purple haze forced the entirety of the floor above him into the air giving way to the natural moon light and stars above him. Sparks cascaded across the ground and fire erupted all over the place causing numerous explosions in the site that was still in the ground and the large chunk of the site that was being lifted into the air. Finding his chance he released his hold on the section he carved out, the light purple haze faded and he took his chance to fly out of the giant crater he made, but the worse was yet to happen. The large cut out came falling back completely wiping out the facility and anyone near the site.

Everyone around who was out of danger seen the atrocity that had occurred and seen the figure of a man fly out before escaping into the dark night. The cameras that were able to get any information helped paint a good picture that what ever was created was now freely out of their reach. A possible world wide calamity or even pandemic could be the downfall that was created because of a few power hungry people.
