Costume Description/Image: A rather average looking Indian boy of 16, who looks a bit younger. People generally mistaken him for being fourteen years of age. Arjun wears a turban on his head though he is not a Sikhi, but because it's what was done. He also wears a kurta, which makes him stand out considerably.

Personality: Arjun is from the Sikh Empire in the year of 1820. Therefore, he is a very religious Hindu with Sikh influences. He automatically feels he must protect other people from oppression of harm. He also is a strict observer of abstinence from all sins (alcohol, tobacco and premarital sex.) Due to the multicultural nature of the Sikh Empire, he is tolerant of other religions and practices, but finds American society bizarre. And he actually considers women equal to men, due to all the teachings of the Sikhs about gender equity.

He also has a near boundless curiosity for learning new things. Therefore, he approaches his whole situation with interest through his fear.

Guru Krishan thinks all this is hilarious, and he offers advice to Arjun while occasionally mocking the young boy's mistakes. Despite this, he's a pretty wise teacher, so Arjun does listen when Krishan speaks up.

History: Arjun grew up in the Sikh Empire, and he was born in 1804 to a Hindu family. His father was a Kshatriya, and was therefore a soldier in the powerful army of the Sikh Empire. The Empire prospered under the rule of the wise and tolerant leader, Ranjit Singh. The young Arjun had a relatively well-off upbringing, and was educated in the skills of fighting, as all Kshatriyas were. But he was also educated in other matters, such as language. He could speak and write fluently in his native language of Punjabi, but he was also taught how to read and write Hindi, the lingua franca of most of India. He was also taught how to speak English, so he could deal with the British Empire, who were expanding on their worrying interest in the Sikh Empire.

Then one day he was asked, by his father, to go help the Hindu priest Drona with a ritual.
