Costume Description/Image: No costume is wore other than regular clothes at this point. Has yet to decide upon one.

Personality:
Tobias is a bit of a wild person. He growls at times and cocks his head to the side. He will raise an eyebrow when questioning something without saying a word. Tobias does enjoy being enigmatic and tries to see all sides before making a decision. He would plan two steps ahead for everything and even then act in accordance to what he didn't plan for. He is an enigma to others that know him and even to himself. No puzzle or riddle is safe from him as he must solve it. He seeks knowledge and different ways to use it. Tobias doesn't mind acting one way to fool you even if it serves no purpose.

He does live by a code of morals and follows them to the letter. Tobias tends to be loyal to those he trusts and will speak truthfully to them no matter whether they want to hear it or not. Those who earn his disfavor are balked at every turn and not even torture could make him speak or help them. When confronted with a situation that he hasn't come across before, Tobias tries to see all the possible outcomes and gauges the situation before acting. When coming to a fight, he either ends it quickly or tries to gain the measure of his opponent. Though he does possess tact, sometimes he is very blunt and open about his thoughts on people. He will tell them exactly what he is thinking and his views on them or their actions.

History:
Most of Tobias' childhood was spent traveling around to different states and countries to expand his knowledge. He mostly goofed off and learned the different legends of the areas. He would rather play than sit in a classroom where the teachers attempted to teach him things that his mind had already grasped. He was lazy to a point and would wander off if not kept interested. It was that going over something already known bored him to death and he felt like it was a waste of time.

He blew through every class he had without even touching the homework, merely by the tests. When confronted by one teacher who believed they knew right Tobias not only corrected the teacher and showed how big of an ass the teacher was, but taught the class for that day to prove he could. By the time Tobias had hit college, he got a bit more arrogant and constantly fought with his professors when they were wrong. He never got a degree from college.

As to having a job, up until he was eighteen years of age Tobias didn't work a day in his life other than mow lawns and shovel snow. Once he was eighteen he did different jobs ranging from fast-food to warehouse work. Tobias has even worked as a salesperson and sold things on the street. When he got bored with that, he started working as a librarian which actually worked out for a little bit. When he finally got annoyed with that job, Tobias became a professional student.

Powers:
Starting Powers
-Absorption: The ability to borrow someone else's powers, weakening them for a number of posts. Every post that they are touched by him, for example; they are weakened for 2 of their posts. As he hasn't figured out how to do it except by touch, that is his major limitation. He does have a leeching effect that happens when he is a foot or less away.
-Flight:Psuedo-Flight. He hasn't yet develop the control to fully fly or maneuver yet. Levitation and a slow flight is the best he can do without putting everything he has into it.
Limited Recall: The ability to pull out a past power he had absorbed and be able to use it for a limited time, mainly 1 to 3 posts depending on how recent or how long I had contact.


Final Powers
-Absorption: The ability to borrow someone else's powers, weakening them for a number of posts. Every post that they are touched by him, for example; they are weakened for 3 of their posts. The reason behind this is people are very choosy of letting their characters being touched. Proximity Absorption of 4 feet(max) would reduce the weakening to 2 posts. Should he remain with physical contact of the being he is absorbing from for 5 posts, they would be weakened for the entire thread.
-Flight: Perfect Flight
-Recall: The ability to pull out a past power he had absorbed and be able to use it for a limited time, mainly 3 to 5 posts depending on how recent or how long I had contact.
Mechanics on Absorption:

If I touch someone and absorb a stat other than EP, it works like such:
Touch a 7 STR +3 STR
Touch a 6 STR +2 STR
Touch a 5 STR, +1 STR

If I touch a person and absorb their EP power, then it works off my EP.

Character Image/Description:
Tobias doesn't have much fashion sense other than his own warped view. Lets start with the lower body. Gray medium sized socks covered by black combat boots. Forest cameo pants covering the boots and black leather studded belt. He is wearing red boxers under the pants.

Now onto the upper body. He wears a white athletic biker shirt and two leather wrist bands. On top of those is a black leather coat that shows signs of abuse and previous battles. Around his neck is a beaded necklace with a skull that is the centerpiece. On his hands are four rings with one on each index finger and thumb. On his head is a black bandanna with skulls all over it and over his eyes are a pair of black circular sunglasses.

Roleplay Sample:
With the sound of the engine purring as he drove and his mp3 player hooked up to the stereo softly playing, Tobias was tapping at the wheel as he scanned the area on the highway he was on. He had barely escaped his home in Chicago and got a lucky break when he discovered this working cop cruiser. All it had taken was some time to replace the bad engine pieces while in an infested city and hiding in a garage. Thanks to those who might be watching over him were constantly in his mind as he had been fixing up the cruiser and now he was praying to those who were watching for a gas station that had some gas in it to fill up the tank.

He needed gas and he had used up most of his shotgun shells getting it this far from home. Grabbing the comm unit in the cruiser, Tobias keyed it open to all frequencies and began to broadcast. A smile came across his lips as he began to speak a lyric from Pink Floyd's The Wall.

"Is anybody out there? This is being transmitted across all frequencies and is not a recording."

Pulling over and checking to make sure the area was clear for the moment, Tobias continued speaking.

"I am traveling down Route 64. Are there any survivors? Hell, can anyone here this?"

Without thinking, Tobias threw the comm against the passenger seat and rubbed his eyes as he sighed. He was tired, so tired of looking and coming up empty. There seemed to be no survivors anywhere he looked and he hadn't gotten a single response from his broadcasts. Sometimes he thought it was just a waste of time to do such. He needed some sleep but there was no where he could do so safely.

"Why do I even bother?"

It can't be makin' em lose it and shii, even if it only be foh a little. How long is dat temporary loss dawg?

You know you can only take EP powahs, and dah powah dat you take be based on yo grid, not dah nigga you stole it from. So wut happens if you try to take powahs from sum one who aint got no EP? You juss take dey memories and shii and dats it?

Yeah, only EP powers should be absorbed. You might be able to increase your Strength temporarily if someone has super strength as a power, but no absorbing FS.

When a character's EP power is weakened, it should be by about two point's worth on the stat grid.

As long as all that's understood, I'm going to say approved. If Pain comes in behind me and says some things need to be changed you may have to tweak it a bit, but barring that your character is approved and you're free to roleplay in threads.

5 straight posts is a lot, I'd say lower that to 2-3 posts. Temporarily lowering some one's EP stat by 2 can severely temporarily handicap a character. And proximity absorption? So you don't have to make physical contact?

When you absorb some one's power in a fight, can you touch them again and lower their EP stat again?

The powers I was going to do through roleplay with my first thread.
As to the proximity absorption, yes. He would only need to be near them and it wouldn't weaken them as much.
As to lowering the EP stat again in a fight, I am not sure. I am open to letting you all decide that.

I don't like the proximity absorption personally. I think it should be limited to physical contact. At least until you improve your powers to 6 EP, and even then the proximity should be tiny.

Lowering the EP stat again in a fight shouldn't be allowed to the same person until you lose the powers you've taken from them.

Chaos and I are doing a thread where I get them. I was thinking of having them be latent powers that contact with someone of an extreme level would set off.
The proximity limit smaller? Ok. I will make it smaller. And I am limiting it to contact until he fully comes into his powers. It will take a while till he gets there, Pain.
Absorbing your superstrength would lower it temporarily by 2, I am only using the number suggested. I wouldn't get your strength of 7, but it would raise my strength temporarily by two. I am fine with the things you suggested about not the exact strength and Durability. But if it is a power like invulnerability to something, would you be fine with allowing me to absorb that?

I'm talking like real close ranged proximity, maybe a foot. You can go ahead and use it like that for the weakened state, then the range increases to two or three feet when you improve.

Also, like I said, weakening some one for 5 straight posts after one touch is a bit much. 2 seems fine to me and on the third post their powers start quickly coming back.

Same thing applies that applied for EP applies for STR/etc., you can't weaken them again til you've lost the powers you absorbed.

Okay this is an experimental power, so a second opinion would be nice. If you touch some one with 7 STR, you get +2 STR, but that would screw up the lower stats. So it should be like this.

I guess the same effects could be extended towards SPD and END. But my thing is you should only be able to absorb and use one stat at a time.

At first the powers need to be significantly lower in posts for his ability to absorb the abilities. Eventually he would be able to steal powers for up to 3-5 posts.

If he is an existential thief, stealing INT should be no problem for him. For intelligence theft, which would be a cool power, he doesn't rob the other player of INT but does take a bonus to his INT that follows the STR and EP rules.

With existential theft, I think he should be able to steal one stat along with that.

I think that this power should lower the starting power points by 2.

I like this character and this power that he brings to the site.

The powers are dormant until the character is put into extreme peril by Chaos. They awaken to save their possessor from death. Basically self-preservation.

The proximity I was going with he didn't know about and I will use that idea. As to the duration, I can see that. But Can I do 3 for when he is full into his powers?

Absorbing one stat at a time is fine with me and the same with what you put up there as the degrees of increase.

Yes at full power 3 posts is fine, and if you ever get 7 EP, we can improve on this power a little more. But that'll be another discussion.

The power of stolen EP abilities would be based on your EP and receive no bonuses, unlike the other stats that receive bonuses when you absorb them.

Just edit what I've told you to and we'll get this thing approved.
