Costume Description: The Harlequin wears a silver shining armoured face mask with a sharpened elongated nose attached to his head via straps, which leaves his hair flowing out the back. His hair is tinted with temporary, brightly coloured hairsprays to give the effect of dancing colours in the flowing wind or when he is running. He wears full body black tights excluding the hands and the head which allow for less traction when sliding along surfaces with his bare body. A black knee high, wrist length trench coat is then worn over the top of the tights. He also wears leather gloves and sneakers.

Personality: Jonathan is secretive yet very flamboyant and he is much more intelligent than he lets on. He is very intuitive has great instincts and great improvisation skills. He can be sadistic at times while charming at others and is felt to be untrustworthy by most people he knows while feeling that everyone else is also untrustworthy. Jonathan is very suspicious about a lot of things and tends to be extra careful and over think things, though he has the ability to process thoughts and ideas into reasoning and strategies quick enough to not waste time with thinking. His over thinking can sometimes conjure up paranoia and suspicions over unequally higher powered or well-known others who seem to give off what he calls a bad aura, which in turn gives him heavy curiosity. He believes in equal rights, protecting the common man and is generally a nutcase with a good heart.

Combat Abilities: Jonathan is highly skilled in pistol combat and small blades i.e. combat knives. He is a very lightly built man which was a problem for him in the army so he trained himself to be fast enough, accurate enough and efficient enough to take down bigger targets quickly before major conflict occurred and is a mixed martial art specialist, specialising in Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai and Parkour.

Arsenal: The Harlequins arsenal consists of his two favourite guns he names The Entertainer and the Sadist, an automatic pistol for swish and a hollow point for bang which are often used to create diversions, give the effect of a larger group or scare tactics. The melee side of the arsenal consists of four assorted combat knives and the nose on his face (literally) because he likes to get up as close and personal as possible, while it is also a very useful tool as head butting has become in useful in a lot of situations. The arsenal also consists of many other tools such as lock-picks, tranquiliser guns, stun guns and many others but they are only used if needed for a specific purpose. He also wears a bulletproof vest.

History: Jonathan had always been overlooked in life due to under achievement and could never find anything that interested him, being born to a less than average family with a less than average life, nothing to tie him down, and nothing to live for. Thinking he had no use in life Jon joined the army to find what he was looking for all along, a reason for living. Rising to corporal in the short space of 2 years through dedication and hard training Jonathan soon found himself finding an offer by an outside source.

With an ex-military background and Jonathans specialties in both taking out targets quick and drawing attention towards him with guerrilla tactics and making himself seem bigger than he really is (figuratively speaking) respectively, Jonathan has been recruited by ex-military mercenary/extremist group Freedom Fighters for America (FFA)* led by Reaper* a.k.a . George Washington who selectively chose the team consisting of 7 members including himself to keep the team from compromising each other’s identities due to unlawful actions and so the team would remain professional. G.W is the only member of the FFA that knows the identity of every single member. The Harlequin was teamed up with code name Face a.k.a. James Madison for 6 months prior to leaving the group finding that they would do literally anything to get the job done and to get the message through. Jonathan is now hunted down by the FFA because of his intuitive nature digging into their dirty little secrets and for compromising certain identities. His previous job expected him to be emotionless when facing combatants and required he did some things some people couldn't even imagine, some really sick and twisted things to people he knew and others he didn't. He has suffered much ridicule over the years over senseless killing and is now on a personal mission to show to himself that he still cares.

Power Grid:


Character Description: Jon is a clean shaven tanned fairly attractive man who is mostly seen with a smile on his face. He has a small build but not small enough to be called lanky or anorexic and can be seen wearing casual attire like shirts jeans and sneakers most of the time when not donning his costume.

Roleplay Sample:
The night was young; several trashcans had been knocked over by the previous few hours of heavy winds blowing down the street, cats had recently been digging through what were now piles of garbage on the roads and were now sitting in alleyways dining and what looked like dead mice and road-kill. These were the normal sights of down town night life apart from the gangs, rapists and drug addicts who crept in the shadows, these were the things people saw, totally oblivious to the underground clubs and drug runs now consuming this seemingly normal neighbourhood. The only difference was tonight something was going to change.

A man walked down an alley way as a cat scrambled to the side and hissed as he walked past completely oblivious to the cat’s presence. His eyes seemed particularly focused on something in the near distance, two men having a cigarette break outside what seemed to be a noisy wall of sound blaring tunes and profanities in an unsavoury manner. The man put down his backpack and took a second to check for something in both sides of his coat, when he was satisfied he picked up his backpack and continued heading towards the two men.

With a grin on his face the man spoke “Hey I’m kind of lost do you two fellows happen to know where the nearest train station is?” one of the two men turned his head and spoke “I’m sorry mate but the nearest train station here is at least three hours walk from here, the best way to get there would be by bus, but sorry to say they won’t be running till morning” The man’s face moved from a smiling position down to a worried condition “Do you happen to have a smoke you could spare?” “It’s been a long night, my girlfriend kicked me out” he pointed to his backpack. The man handed him a cigarette. “Thanks, by the way, my name is Ben” Ben stretched out his hands, the left hand grabbing the cigarette as the other shook the man’s hand. As Ben put the cigarette in his mouth and put his back pack down the now fully aware second male standing to the right of the first man offered to light the cigarette. Ben started to smile. “Names Juli…” Ben grabbed the second man’s arm and kicked the first one in the head sending him plummeting to the ground. The wind was still blowing as hard as before, so any small whimper that Ben may accidently let through would definitely be muted down to a dull hiccup. With applied pressure Ben snapped the second man’s arm, pulled a knife out of his left his left side pocket and pushed it into his opponents neck gently resting him on the ground as he gently removed the knife, wiped it on his sleeve and put it back in his coat. Ben got up and turned around to see nothing but a dark void staring right at him as the second man had a gun pointed point blank straight at his head. The man staring at him as if telling him you made a big mistake and all of a sudden fell to the ground in a big clump of blood soaked clothes as he realised there was a spatula sized knife protruding out back of his head. “You’re getting sloppy Ben”

Ben stared off into what most people would comprehend as an empty dark corner of an empty dark alleyway. “You’re one to talk. Seriously? What’s with the bloody Rambo knife? Was that really necessary James?” A silhouette slowly walks out of the shadows, a man wearing a white mask and black clothing “Has anyone ever told you, you ask too many question?” Ben stares at him “Actually…” the man cuts him off “It was a rhetorical question; I already know you ask too many questions.” Ben glared at him. “You shouldn’t, it’ll get you killed in this sort of business” Ben picked his backpack back up “Yeh yeh yeh!” He dug into his bag and pulled out what was now his new attire for the rest of the night, a trench coat a, mask, a couple of handguns and a lock pick. Meanwhile James walked up to a steel door which the two clumps of flesh and bones we’re once guarding and knocked.

A small slit in the door opened “What’s the password” A small sound startled nearby cats and a thump was soon heard as the guard fell to the ground. “You’re up” James said as he put his silenced pistol back into its holster. Ben unlocked the basic tumbler with his lock pick and the two men walked in.

You got a good personality, but your history could use some work. You're 'guns' are fair, but they are powered by your intellect which is only 3. You're not stupid at all, but your items are not very powerful since it's only level 3. You have a lot of points you could still spend, so I'd suggest making your-self a bit smarter, and also raising all your physical stats to 3. Level 3 Speed, Strength, and Endurance is still human and would make sense for you character since your a ex-marine/secret agent.

My suggestion for your powergrid would be something more like this.

This was your still a normal human like you wanted to be, but you'll stand a better chance against most people on this site.

Other then that the only problem I see is that your history doesn't really explain much about you, or your childhood. It only explains what you've done since you joined the military.

Only problem with the application is the items. If you want to use an item, you have to state every single item your character is capable of using. You can add more later on through item apps, but there is a limit. Everything you've mentioned is perfectly fine with me, you just said you have many others; need to say everything you have in detail.

And I have to ask, why use the old President's name as a secret identity? xD

Also, change your weight to 187 lbs instead of 85kg. The dude is a little short for that much weight, but it's not that big a deal; he is at peak physical condition after all.
