Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

The Legacy |
Personality: Ell is by no means a rebel, he's quite tamed normally. He follows orders well, and he's very determined once he's set on a goal. He's an analyzer, paying attention to detail, and he's prepared to do anything, even take a life. He's also a great captain as well as a soldier, he spent most of his life on learning leadership skills, and battle strategies. He was an army kid from the start, he loved the idea of it, even while he was on the battle field, he didn't feel the despair that came from it. His will is stronger than that of his metal skin. In battle, he'll do whatever is necessary to complete the ultimate goal, even if that means risking his own life for the greater good. He can control the battle easily with his leadership, controlling a team almost flawlessly through each mission, and finishing off with a bang. He loves explosives, they're one of his favorite weapons, aside from guns, staffs, and, of course, martial arts. He considers his own body a living weapon, which is pretty accurate. He's skilled in a wide array of weapons, and he loves to find new types of weapons, and, being a fast learner, he can become skilled with them quickly. Casually, he likes to sit back and do whatever he feels like. He'll go out to a shooting range, or just out for a drink or two. His favorite hobby is watching boxing matches and betting casually for the hell of it. Although he's a soldier, he has a great soft side for kids, especially orphans. He always keeps a bag of small orange flavored candy with him, which was his favorite sweet as a kid, that he gives out sometimes. History: Hup, two, three, four. Hup, two, three, four. Ell Aspida's life's motto were those words. The love for the army started for him when he was only seven years old, when representatives from the army came to his school. They told stories about the war, the great battles that took place for the purpose of protecting their country, even giving their lives for it. That amazed Ell, the willingness to give one's life for someone that you didn't even know, but that you didn't even need to to care. Right then and there, he pledged his life to the army to himself. Ell's life at home however wasn't exactly...peaceful. His parent's died when he was young, his mother when he was born, and his father in a mugging. He was taken to an orphanage, and even when he was young, he was always sick. His body didn't respond to his commands well, and he was in constant fear of head-splitting migraines. Though after that day when the soldiers came, and he pledged to himself, he would force himself up, and try to work out doing push-up and jumping jacks. Usually before he even got off the bed he would throw up and black out. The doctors couldn't do anything to help him, it was a genetic disease, a critically damaging disease that came from his mother's side. When he was sixteen, he began to get a little stronger, he kept up his routine of forcing his body to move everyday, doing small exercises. Eventually his body adapted, getting more resistant to the disease, and when doctors analyzed him, they called it a miracle. That much strain on his body should have killed him, or at least paralyzed him for life. Up to now, Ell had rejected every offer to be adopted, which was very few at all. He didn't want to burden himself with leaving people he cared about behind, and he wasn't exactly the most appealing child. When the doctors gave him the clear, he was off to enlist in the army. As soon as he applied for the army, he was immediately rejected for soldier status, he didn't had a terrible health record, and his weight and height wasn't up to par with that of the stronger men that had been enlisting. He was, however, applicable for genetic testing, since he had to background to him other than his orphanage, nobody would miss him anyways. After thinking about it for a moment, he asked, "Will I be helping others if I do this?" The man at the desk just snickered, "Sure, kid. This will help in a lot of different ways." Well, it was better than nothing, thought Ell. After signing up, he was taken to a special bus, and transported to an obscure facility out of the country. Ell and a couple other of the "test subjects" filed off of it, and into the facility. Everywhere around there were strange machines that Ell had no idea what they did. At the end of the room they were brought to, was a scientist with long white hair that flowed down to his shoulders, with a bushy beard and mustache, "Are zose ze test subjects? Aaah, give zem here!" He began to pick out the first of his new playthings, savoring the look of fear on their faces. He chose the man on the far right of Ell, a large and bulky man with a bald head. "Who...me?" "Yes, you blundering dolt! Come with me." They disappeared into the next room, leaving Ell with a large feeling of regret, what was he doing here? This wasn't at all what he imagined...still, if this was for the greater good, then by all means he was going to do this. After a couple of long hours, the rest of the subjects had walked into the room, yet none of them returned, adding onto Ell's fears. At last there were only two left, him and a small kid, about a year or two younger than Ell himself, who looked like he was paralyzed with fear. Ell patted him on the shoulder and reassured him, bringing a smile to the young boy's face. When the doctor at last came out he grinned devilishly at the young'un, "Zat one..." As the soldiers walked over to grab the young child, who looked about ready to bolt out of the facility, Ell sprang in front of him, holding his arms out and his chin up in a defiant manner. "Run, kid, run!!" All the child could do was choke a bit on his words, barely making out the words, "Thank...you..." before rushing out. Before the soldiers could chase after the boy, Ell jumped on them, kicking, scratching, and biting at every bit of flesh he could find. After a couple of minutes of struggle, Ell lay on the ground, a gun pointed at his head. It was already too late for the men, though, by that time, the boy would have gotten away. Angrily, he was taken by the scientist to the room he had feared these last moments, past mangled bodies of past subjects, and thrown into a chamber made of thick glass. He began pounding on the glass as hard as he could, screaming at the top of his lungs. Ell recognized a nearby body, the bald man who had been first, his muscles had been imploded and his brain fried. "Insolent child! You've cost me a test subject, and you'll pay by testing my most destructive device!!" With a pull of a lever, a bright light engulfed the chamber, covering Ell and searing him with intense pain. After that came the gas, with such a strong smell that he was almost suffocated to death. Then came the shocks, annoying, at first, then becoming increasingly painful to the point of making Ell want to chew his own arm off. Pushed to his limit, he fell back, no more energy left to scream, or even feel the pain of the needles that now were injected into his body. He closed his eyes, and entered a dreamless sleep, almost as if in a coma. When he awoke, he felt as if his body had gained about fifty pounds. Which indeed, it had. After the incident at the facility, the doctor, named Doctor Cooper, was arrested for his illegal testing procedures, which were focused on pushing the human limits, making the ultimate being of toughness. In a way, the doctor had succeeded, but at what cost? Ell remained the only test subject that had survived the unorthodox method of science. In other words, Ell was now the strongest man known to the army, his body had gained a large amount of muscle mass, and his skin and muscle were now tough enough to withstand bullets, and even some stronger assaults. Ell was sent an invitation to join the army as soon as he was recovered, which he accepted gracefully. When he was seventeen, after almost a full year of recovery, he was finally given his official uniform and sent off to join the ranks of the army. He passed his training in only a month, being a natural since studying up and training since a young age, and his new found strength. He stayed in training for an extra month, adding a special training schedule to his normal one. This training focused on using his new abilities in combat, and who better to teach him than the Doctor Cooper himself? After another month, Ell was a seasoned soldier, he could analyze situations in the blink of an eye, build, maintain, and fire weapons with extreme skill, and he had even mastered in some hand-to-hand combat that wasn't part of the regimen, which included using a staff as a backup weapon, and martial arts in place of fist-to-fist. He also learned a great deal from his special training with the doctor. His skin and muscles, he learned, could harden to the point of becoming neigh impossible to destroy, save for extreme heat or cold, and even then, it took a great deal for it to even crack his new armor. ((OOC: If you want me to expand on his life in the army, I will, but for now I think it's getting a little lengthy)) Ell assisted is many great battles, and he quickly rose through the ranks of the army, eventually becoming captain of his own squadron. They never lost a battle, and Ell became well known as the "Steel Soldier". Allied with different nations during WW1, he was always entranced with their cultures, and he even picked up their language. Suffice to say, Ell was a great factor in the victory of WW1 for the Allied Nations, but it wasn't a great ending. When Ell thought he had served his purpose, he tried to leave the army, but the U.S wanted to keep Ell as a weapon. A threat, to all those who sought to all those who tried to oppose them. A Shield. They tricked him into serving one more term, a fake mission in which he was to go alone and take out a rising threat to the U.S. He was sent to the old facility, almost forgotten in his mind now, for he was nineteen, three years from the incident that had changed his life for the better. Though it wasn't a happy reunion, as the room was filled with a strange substance that froze him, yet was designed to preserve his body for years. He was stored away, deep within the recesses of the earth, where he would wait until he was needed...no...used again. "Sweet dreams, my Steel Soldier. Hopefully, we won't need to use you again." After what seemed to be an endless amount of time, Ell finally saw the light of day. A mistake in the system? When he was unfrozen, he was told that there was no threat to the world as of now, but he needed to leave. Why? He was never told, but after being betrayed and frozen to be kept as a weapon, he decided that leaving the army behind was the best idea for him. After escaping, he had no idea where to go, the world had changed in the 80 years he was asleep. But he still had that one ultimate goal on his mind: Protect others, no matter what the cost. Even if it means killing for the greater good, or sacrificing himself or others. He would always protect the innocent. |
