Jailhouse Flame

Dr.Everyone lay on a lab table in his back-up lab. A good quarter of Chicago was burning to the ground, a result of his fight with Pain. He had been badly injured, but he was using his own inventions to heal himself. He wouldn't be completely okay for a while, but he could move easier now. He opened one of his Nuke'Em bars and ate it, reinvigorating him and restoring his powers to full strength.

"Damn that Pain knows how to fight. Lucky he escaped as unscathed as he did."

He got up and walked around. Didn't hurt much, still a little tender.

"It'll be awhile until this is all healed. I'll need to go lay low for a bit. Perhaps by lab in Minneapolis would work."

Then he heard police sirens.

"Damn! I need to go now. Police means heroes. I cannot be incarcerated!"

He then blasted a window open and jumped out into the alley, and ran to the street opposite the sirens.

"The city of Chicago is in panic as almost half the city is aflame, and the death toll rises like the temperature. Some are calling this the Second Great Chicago Fire. Some rumors are going around, but evidence shows that the cause of the fire is no other than infamous villain Dr.Everyone. Dr.Everyone has been terrorizing Chicago for over a decade, robbing banks, killing for usually no reason, and running out heroes. The fire started when hero Pain fought Dr.Everyone. The fight ended in Dr.Everyone's lab being destroyed, Dr.Everyone being seriously injured, and Chicago being covered in a cloud of smoke and a blazing fire. All fire departments are working to put out the fire, and local law enforcement as well as the national guard are tracking down Dr.Everyone, hoping to imprison him for the first time in his villain career. Some heroes and possibly some renegade are also helping. This has been a Fox News Chicago emergency update."

Lance walked through the city of Chicago looking around for the one known as Dr.Everyone though the odds of finding one person in a burning city of anarchy was quite low on the totem pole of chance. Lance grabbed a near by policeman. "I'm a Hero. Where is the main problems of the city?" The cop looked at the figure in front of him and shrugged. "We have large fires in the East and South areas but we haven't heard about Dr.Everyone's location." Lance nodded and went South looking for the villain.

Lance stopped next to a building and turned his head looking at the roaring inferno and shook his head. "Dr Everyone has been spotted in the far south." Lance turned his head and grinned looking at the vacant cop car and took off running, Every step his body began to change growing larger and turning red with massive amounts of muscle growing and the mind moving further to the back as the Berserk rage took over. Lance turned the corner just as the Transformation finished.

Crimson roared slamming into a car sending it rolling as he spotted Dr.Everyone walking. Crimson brought a fist into the ground to get the Villains attention, His hand shot out grabbing a telephone pole and yanking hard with his momentum added the Pole ripped up and the Giant swung his makeshift club adding a good 20 feet to his reach as he swung the Pole at Dr.Everyone's Body.

Dr.Everyone was surprised. He hadn't expected heroes this soon!

"The ape wants to play baseball! And I thought they only knew sign language."

Dr.Everyone jumped into the air and dodged the poll. When the poll had passed he landed back on the ground, and tossed a small ball of flame at the end of the pole that had passed.

"Strike one!"

Crimson stepped forward throwing his hands forward grabbing the back of the pole and did a full 360 holding the half burnt pole and swung again now only eight feet away from Dr.Everyone his muscles bulging out as his massive fingers crushing into the wood as he used all of his strength to bring the large pole around for a second swing. Crimson brought his left foot back and reached out kicking a fire hydrant as the pole went right for his head and in his line of vision and the fire hydrant flying low at the legs out of sight with the impact of a 6 strength blow.

Dr.Everyone saw the double whammy, strongly swung bat above, fire hydrant kicked from below. What else to do? he jumped back and shot a large, but quick, single, blast of hot flame at both the pole and the hydrant. Unlike the fire punch he did earlier, this blast burned hot, reaching 1,150 degrees Celsius. That would be hot enough to melt the fire hydrant, and certainly the pole. The fire burned a deep orange color, and heated the area.

"I have plenty more fire where this came from! And I can make it much hotter!"

Crimson dropped the only part of the flaming stick and looked up his face a mask of pure Fury and berserk, He ran forward his long legs carrying him three times the normal distance of a large Athletic sprinter and was upon Dr.Everyone in no time. His right fist went back as he shoved it forward with a balled fist the size of a Wrecking ball (Not really that big). The punch was aimed right at the other man's face and the left hand grabbed a car that was next to them and brought it down from above a foot behind Dr.Everyone in the attempt to smash him with it after the punch landed. Crimson had no defense position to himself instead he was just attacking with all his brute power.

Dr.Everyone was cornered. He'd be dead for sure. A punch to the head, a car from above, and he was already injured from Pain. He was a goner. Or was he? He had other tricks in his lab coat. He began to will his body to take form of another. A animal. A reptile to be precise. A Inland Taipan. A single dose of it's venom could kill 100 men, and he would need exactly such an attack.

His body shrank, he willed it small, he willed it longer. He pictured the snake perfectly in his mind, Olive green, black marking on the head, six feet and tube shaped. His atoms shrunk and moved and rearranged themselves until he exactly mimicked the reptile. And he was just as deadly.

He slithered under the heroes legs and turned around, and coiled up, coiled tightly. And then, like a spring, he flung out at the giant. He opened his mouth, his fangs sticking out. He would hit the hero, sink his fangs in, and administer the incredibly destructive dose. And with the general anatomy of snakes, either he'd release the bite, or he'd be violently ripped out, as the gangs covers making pulling ineffective.

Crimson huffed as his target vanished and the car smashed down crushing nothing instead of the small man he was trying to hit. The giant looked around a confused look on his face as he tried to work out what had happened and had it not been for the sudden prick on his back he would have stood there for days. Crimson reached around his back and tried to grab the thing on his back. if he did he would discover it to be a snake and in Crimsons attitude would smash it on the ground over and over.

He had connected, but he couldn't get in deep enough to inject the venom. So he quickly released. As he fell to the ground, he willed himself to change again. But this time, he willed to change what kind of snake he was, instead of what animal. He changed himself into a cobra, and slithered to the giants front. He coiled up, lunged at the giant's face, and spit the cobra's signature venom-acid at the giants eyes and then he hit the ground and began to slither away.

Crimson had missed the snake and in his wrath he didn't see the other, however furious at losing his enemy the massive giant raised both arms and turned the acid hitting him on the side of his head just as he brought down both fist into the ground. The ground split causing a crater and a powerful shockwave in a full 360 degrees with all his strength. the impact carried in the ground a good five blocks. the pulse broke parts of buildings off and rained down heavy stones and sent cars flying into the air only to land upside down or hit the ground and roll. Street lights where shot into the air and came down like heavy metal missile smacking the ground and buildings with loud thuds like a arrow hitting a wall.

The Big Man stood high over Chicago atop one of the tallest skyscrapers. His icy blue eyes examined the city he had worked to save from the massive fires created by that mad Doctor. The fires had been put to a stop thanks to the work of the cities authorities, but they couldn’t have done it with out him and Entropus. The two of them helped to stop the fires before they could grow too massive and take more lives. The death toll was minimal and the damage only affected a small portion of the massive city, all thanks to the heroics of normal people and the two legendary heroes. Things were under control for the most part, but the Doctor escaped and was on the loose somewhere in the city. The National Guard had gotten involved too and they were aiding the local authorities in this awful situation. He’d seen stuff like this happen way too many times, it was nothing new to him, but he wanted to settle the score with the Doctor personally. ‘Aint no one gonna get the best of me.’ He thought to himself as his vision darted around the streets of Chicago, still searching for any glimpse of the Doctor; he was sure that punk was still somewhere in this city.

A loud crash rang through his ears, it sounded very close too. His head snapped in the direction he heard the destruction come from, but it was a little difficult to tell what was happening from here. The large crimson giant stuck out like a sore thumb, and that could be no one else but the punk he recruited about a week ago. Pain couldn’t remember his name, but he knew he was an ally; a Tough Guy. Seems like he was battling some one, and he assumed it had to be the Doctor. Pain decided he would just watch for a little; see his new recruit out in a real fight. The Big Man leaped down to a significantly smaller building to get a better view of the fight and nearly went through the roof of it. The floor beneath him cracked under his feet as he landed, and if he didn’t hold back nothing would’ve been left of this rooftop. Either way the owners of this building probably wouldn’t be able about the roof damage, but that wasn’t really his problem. Pain was a good hearted hero, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t selfish at times; it was just his nature, not like he meant to be that way.

Pain nonchalantly walked over to the rooftop’s edge and sat down. His massive legs hung off the rooftop as he relaxed and watched over the battle taking place on the streets below. He still had a pretty good distance on them, but from here it very clear that the Doctor was fighting his new recruit. The Big Man's left hand reached into his pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes and his lighter. He flipped the pack open, pushing a single cigarette up with his thumb and bringing it to his face. He gripped the cigarette loosely between his lips and laid the pack beside him. Pain moved his lighter to ignite the end of the death stick and inhaled the first sweet drag. He dropped the lighter onto the pack of cigarettes and exhaled the thick gray smoke cloud. “Good shit..” The Big Man said softly to himself before inhaling another heavy drag.

It was all good until his new recruit took it too far and started dealing heavy damage to the city. Now he had to get involved..

Dr.Everyone in snake form flew into the air. Rubble flew everywhere, and he did what he could to dodge it. While he flew through the air he willed himself back to his normal form. Metal mask gloves, lab coat, human. He morphed back into his form, and landed on the ground as if nothing happened. he brushed some dust off his shoulders and turned around, back towards the red beast.

"Look what you did you stupid animal! Your detroying....half the city...."

Dr.Everyone just had an idea. he could use this hulk of a man to destroy more of the city. It would be perfect! He summoned a whip, made purely out of fire, and snapped it at the giant, hoping to anger it and get's it's attention. He felt like a matador teasing a bull. Which, he very much was.

"Come at me you huge, worthless, imbecile! I'm the villain! Come at me I say! Try your luck, and you will lose!"

Crimson stared at Dr.Everyone and opened his large hands stepping forward he roared to the sky shaking the ground with the bass of his voice as he walked over grabbing a Ice cream truck he lifted it off the ground and over his head before turning to face the man and with one arm he threw it sending it like a large Cannon ball flying right at Dr. Everyone.

Crimson turned slamming his fist into a car and ripped it sideways grabbing the interior with both hands he smashed them together making a pair of large metal gauntlets. Crimson spun around as the truck exploded into flames and Crimson stood waiting for Dr. Everyone to show his face if he survived.

Dr.Everyone had barely escaped the truck. He saw it coming and had only a couple seconds to hit the ground and cover himself in hot fire. When the truck exploded, the fire melted the majority of the shrapnel and the fire from the explosion did no damage to him. He was immune to fire.

Dr.Everyone got up and again brushed himself of.

"Stop throwing a temper tantrum you ape. It won't change the fact that you will lose."

He summoned a dome of fire around himself. He enlarged it, made it hotter, and lifted it off himself.

"Concentrate on me. Just look at me big ugly."

He moved the dome of fire over the beast and began to lower it. The fire burned almost white. An orange white.

"is it chilly in here? I'd understand, it's the windy city. Let me turn up the heat for you!"

Crimson roared and charged forward and out of the dome before he could be trapped not that he noticed it anyway he was just way too pissed to care. The monster closed the distance quickly for one so big hitting a hundred in a few strides. Crimson brought back one of the metal gauntlets and shoved it forward full force aiming for Dr.Everyone's chest in hopes to cave it in or hurt him enough to where breathing was painful and moving impossible.
