Chinatown (free to join)
(Post Order: Kizer, Nightkill, Spectre, Duo, Bliss)
Crowded streets as far as the eye can see. Chinatown was always at it's busiest on the weekends. Every type of person was here. The shady merchants trying to sell you poorly made products, the locals who knew better then to stand and chat, and the unsuspecting tourist who, like a mouse in a corner, became helpless to break away from the old ladies selling the cheap handbags. The amount of people here did very little to cover the pungent smell of trash on the streets though. Chinatown was great because you could find things here you may not find anywhere else, but at the same time it was a candidate for the most disgusting places in New York.
Adriano was marching with a crowd of people down Mott street. Every once in a while things would slow down as the crowd stopped to take pictures of the drummers and the men in the big dragon costumes dancing. The tourists thought this was special. They didn't realize this happened every weekend to attract them. It was during this that a lady's shriek would be muffled from within the crowd. All the clapping, drums, and cheering had drowned her out to everyone who wasn't standing relatively near her,
"my money! My money is gone!"
Adriano sighed. In a crowded place like this? Forget it, that money is long gone. It could have been any one of the random punks that walk this street. This did at least confirm that the street rats were out to play this evening.
"Thanks for the tip" Adriano thought to himself as he watched the tears flow down her cheeks. She was hysterical, claiming that she now had no way to get home. He walked up to her and pulled some money out of his pocket.
"Take this and get back home now before you end up losing this too. Report whatever you lost stolen, but I am sorry, don't expect it to ever come back."
she thanked him several times and asked for his name. He replied with the directions to the nearest bus terminal. It would probably be best she didn't take the subway today.

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
A quick hand and little respect made hitting targets easy. Bravado made it hard to get back at these guys; their numbers compensated their bravery with pride. Hitting helpless women when they came for enjoyment, how devoid of compassion. Gangs sent out their foot peddlers to hit up the festivities and bring back a little revenue, well Bliss felt like getting her cut.
Three young Asian men out of the streets and into the alley. They flipped a roll of cash and laughed about their spoils. They dressed for the occasion in broke and beaten jeans with faded black shirts. Whether they acted alone of as part of a groups really did not matter. They would pay for this.
Ever watchful from her place of power over the city, the red skirt clad Bliss tied a red bandanna around her nose with the excess cloth hanging over her mouth. The knot sat just above the tie on her ponytail, securing it. She zipped her hooded sweatshirt up and tightened a strap on her left boot.
She leaped from the roof of the building over to the opposite wall. A blast of energy shot from her hand, catapulting her towards the three men. Turning one of the men into a gentleman, Bliss broke her fall and his body with her force. She shot up and braced herself against the alley and fired off a large, unstable projection of energy sending the two footpads against the wall. Hoping what needed to be enacted took place already, Bliss levitated the roll of money to her hand before looking to make her escape back to the rooftops.

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
maybe it was fate or dumb luck, but whatever it was, Adriano looked up to the rooftops at that moment to see a figure making haste away from the area. Perhaps this was the ideal moment to show the ugly, ugly, area that is Chinatown a bit of beauty. He pushed by passers out of his way to get to the nearest fire escape. As he climbed up the fire escape, The glass from the windows he passed began to cover his body until he was in a protective shell of it. The figure moved fast, but they remained in his sights. He gave chase, creating bridge-like constructs from the glass when needed to get from roof top to roof top. The bridge would "dissolve" each time he took a step. He was reusing the glass.
This was obviously no common thief to pull the feats they were. He fired multiple shards in the runner's direction. Mind you, it was not at them, but rather around their feet. He planned for them to step on the glass and thus, have the glass form around their feet. He would have the glass form around their legs. He would then have the glass form around the rest of their body. All but the face, anyway. That is still needed for answers.

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
Gang activity preyed upon the city and made it dangerous to live within the streets. Every time people tried to venture out of their own, the harsh reality of the city came down upon them to hasten there fall to reality. If only for a few people, Bliss wanted to turn tide of crime against the helpless and make those who emply fear afraid of something. For a few weeks Bliss began a new offensive of robbing the robbers and trying to get the money back into the communities, and every time she tried gangs sprung up to take it back. This weekends sweep uncovered something more out of the ordinary. The groups of footpads no longer took the money and ran; they met informants at drop points. Bliss seduced the information out of a medium level gang member at a strip club a few nights ago, and acted on it in the past few strikes she took.
Whenever Bliss attacked these guys they always responded by giving her a chase. A rooftop endeavor seemed more out of character, but she knew never to underestimate someone. Glass sprung forth from the depths of the building to latch onto her legs. Before she could reason as to what circumstances she found herself, the glass invaded further up her leg. She plummeted forward and cut the inside of her knee along the jagged edge of the glass. Natural instincts elicited her unnatural ability to free her leg from the trap.
Memories of a glassy prison that almost suffocated her returned. A train ride from Albany to New York City under the guise of a reflective woman. The glass shattered and Bliss stumbled towards the edge of the roof. Her freshly cut knee felt severe in pain, as though a ligament had been superficially scraped. Barriers of glass made a final grasp at her, but she made a sly dodge to the edge of the roof, but lost her footing a plummeted down from the second story. Her back impacted on a dumpster lid and rolled off onto the hard concrete ground.

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
As he watched the culprit fall from the roof, he pondered how they were ever able to break the glass. This brought memories back of a person he used to know. A beautiful young girl who claimed to be on the run. She hasn't been in New York for what felt to be like ages though. No way this was her. Either way. He created something of a stairway of glass down to her level in a similar fashion as to how he was doing this before. They seemed very much hurt, as expected after that fall. A dent in the dumpster lid had confirmed where she fell exactly and how she even survived. It's rather ironic when you think about it. The scum falling into the trash. The glass started to shift and swarm over her body, leaving only her head uncovered.
As he got closer, he noticed he was chasing a woman. This made him question just who this person was even more, but he could not falter. Even still he started to get a sick feeling in his stomach that this was in fact Bliss, and she had..fallen from grace, so to speak.
"Your lucky day, trash. You get to be my first piece in my upcoming Chinatown series. I'll even let you pick your pose."

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
Bliss rolled onto her stomach and placed her arm in front of her to brace herself. The non-relenting glass refused her any refuge and began to imprison her. No bother, the fall hurt far worse than any of the discomfort of this glassy prison. She moved her hand against the side of the glass and shot a vibratory force that took a few seconds to generate. It burst through the side of the glass, and Bliss moved her hand out into the open air. Sweat began to spill from the pores of her chest and legs.
A man announced himself and his direct location from above. A threat came at her from aloft great heights. "Bad move." She did not need to hit the man or the top of the stairs. Sending a shot at the base of the stairs would suffice just fine. An unbalanced shot came from her hand and flew towards the stairs just below Adrianno.
Her body still sat pinned, but it would only restrain her for a few more minutes. "I'm not the type of girl who stays tied down for long." Bliss began to focus harder on the area around her, trying to slow down the flow of molecules within the area. A bead of seat dripped down her face and hit the concrete of the alley. Just a little more and she could break the prison in one shot.
Another bead fell from her forehead and became trapped in the motionless stasis she brought on. Her eyes rolled back. The stress and pain took a toll on her stature. The combination of the heat and impact from the damage caused Bliss to go light headed. In her last bat of an eye, she saw the bead of sweat float in stasis. "Still got it." She said softly before her head hit the ground, slipping her into a state of unconsciousness.

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
Azad wasn't completely sure what he was doing here in his old age, in one of the most dangerous parts of the city. God knew that Nightkill had enough servants, and that Azad could have easily asked them to get some of the items he needed, but Azad insisted on doing the work himself.
Azad saw a young girl fall down from a roof. He began jogging to the site. Less than six feet out, he began wondering the point. How could an seventy year-old man possibly hope to help?
But he kept his jog. He was sure he could handle any regular punk. Provided they didn't hit him, since that would probably break something. He saw the girl land in an alley. Easily brushing off some punk asking him for a donation (said punk was now swearing while at the same time screaming like a little girl and covering his penis with his hands.), the African-American old man was now on his way, having confiscated a handgun from the same punk.
Azad paused outside an alleyway. There was a young girl wrapped up in some sort of glass, which was squeezing her. Azad was distracted for a few seconds, wondering how that was possible, but he recovered. Not seeing Adrianno on the roof, he jogged toward Bliss. "What in God's name happened here?" he asked, tapping the glass and trying to figure out how to get it off. Shooting it was out of the question, and pulling on it didn't seem to work. The glass was just sticking to the girl for some reason.

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
the glass converted back to sand in a very quick moment and slowly drifted him down. Just as his feet touched the ground, it had turned into glass and slithered up his body, thickening his armor. A new man had appeared on the scene. Perhaps an accomplice?
"leave before you share the same fate, old man."
Vitreo lifted his arm to show the man the palm of his hand. Glass protruded from it into spikes aimed at his chest.
"Forget about your friend, gramps. She has a lot of things to answer for."
This person obviously had special powers to break his glass like she did. Her voice so familiar as well. It made him almost certain who this was. He wanted answers from them as soon as possible. This old man would not stop him.
"I will not show you the same kindness I did them. Leave now or I pin you to this wall."

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
Azad paused and stared at Adrianno. The general effect, if a random bystander saw it and ignored the superpower aspects, would look like a grandfather being disappointed by his grandson. "Would you mind telling me what she did, sonny? For all I know you're taking her away somewhere to rape her." he said, maintaining a cool and calm Morgan Freeman voice.

"I am the good guy here, old man. That's all you need to know. Stand aside. Now."
At this point in time, Vitero was much more concerned with finding out just who he caught. He hoped it wasn't Bliss and he was just paranoid, but hoping wasn't enough. Now this old geezer wanted to get in his way? Not happening. What if he was correct about the old man? Perhaps he was working with her and was trying to distract Vitero long enough for back up to arrive?

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
Shinsuke liked the hustle and bustle of the massive cities that were in the United States. They were huge without being over crowded. He typically stayed in Chinatown in order to remain in a place that was somewhat familiar to him. Today the community was celebrating with a Dragon festival. Merchants and dancers alike lined the streets. He had seen the same production multiple times and it still amazed him. The colors the lights the people, everyone living life to the fullest. It was good to see human beings enjoying themselves for once. usually Shinsuke would only see the worst of men, the criminals, crooks and theives. Speaking of which he witnessed a man steal some woman’s purse. Initially Shinsuke started to go after the culprit. He noticed someone else making a rush in the general direction. However the guys didn’t go after the thief most likely he was going try to help the lady.
Shinsuke followed the guy. Anyone that would stoop so low as to steal from a woman during a celebration deserved a beating. He tailed the guy only to be beaten to the punch by some young woman. She did a good job of avenging the woman but she ended up taking the money that was stolen for herself. No sooner then that She was chased by the same man that Shinsuke spotted before when the crime first occurred. Shinsuke kept in pursuit by climbing up a fire escape. With shinsuke’s agility he managed to keep up fairly easily and caught a small skirmish. Obviously the guy misread the entire situation and figured the woman was the thief. He had good intentions but was off by a mile. After their battle Shinsuke quickly made his way back down to the ground in order to keep things from getting bad.
He stuck to the shadows in case he’d have to get physical if they guy took things to far. He stayed back alittle to watch things and once again another person joined the fray this time an old black guy. He seemed to be trying to help the woman. Shinsuke could leave this alone now but chances were this old man wouldn’t be able to help the girl any should this guy feel threatened. He was already trying to scare the guy off. Shinsuke stepped out from the shadow and snapped his fingers. “ Hey relax. The girl is not the one you want. A guy robbed that woman you helped out earlier. This lady here just went and kicked the guys ass. The old guy has nothing to do with it either. Now lets try to be cool about this and just celebrate a good deed done."

"Sonny, you have no idea how often I've heard people say that. There are no good guys in this world aside from God himself." Azad turned to the Asian boy who had just arrived. "Well, you have a witness as to what happened. I suggest you keep this girl tied up for now, and I'll escort you to the police office, just to make sure you don't do anything to her." he said, not fazed that he was probably talking to a superhuman far stronger than he was.

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
Heat vented itself out of the hole that Bliss punched out of the side. Her eye twitched ushering in a small glimpse of light from the glimmer of the glass. In the background of her struggling consciousness she heard voices discussing rape. And her? Hell no. Her fingers grasped around a handful of glass.
Feeling the time for escape from this sauna, Bliss placed her left hand against the side of the glass and burst the side out. She slipped her small frame out from the confines of the glass and rubbed her head. The temper that Bliss usually kept borderline detached now looked to fly off. Adrenaline kept her from feeling just how much pain she was in, but her attempt to get up seemed hampered by an unwillingness of her back to generate enough force to get up.
While waiting for air to return to her head, she took on a skewed vision of the distorted view around her. Time would not work with her with the company and the plans they intended for her. "No one's tying me up." Bliss pulled the molecules around her to a stop. The violent nature of stillness began to surround the environment of the alleyway, as she through the shards of glass up into the air. The glass brought motion back to the air and caused the air to expand at a higher velocity.
The violence of the explosion paled in comparison to the attack that destabilized the lab of Dr. Cosmos, but the glass shattered and ignited the air as the molecules came back into motion. The attack lifted into the air above Bliss so that the attack would arc around her and unleash its power towards the assailants that apparently wished nothing good upon Bliss.

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
and then another one showed up. Perhaps he was right. These guys were reinforcements. The glass on his body was expanding to pop out like a spiked barrier of sorts.
"You both have your noses where they don't belong. You have now idea whats going on right now. Last shot. Get the hell out of my way, or I turn you into glass statues."
Well, at that moment, the next event in fact confirmed his suspicions. This girl was the one he used to know. She had turned over a new leaf for the worst. He created a thick glass barrier around himself in order to prevent the attack from causing serious harm to him. Should the glass pierce the shield, the idea was to have the glass shards slowed down enough to assimilate with the rest of the shield.
"You old idiot. Look what you did. You think this was easy to deal with?"
The furry was rough and fast. He was using a lot of energy trying to repair his barrier fast from the onslaught of tiny glass shards. The irony was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
"B-Bliss!" he called out her name in hopes to reach her and get her to cease her attack. I had to talk to her and find out what was going on here.

Re: Chinatown (free to join)
"Well, this is an interesting place...I'm sure glad my cousin invited me here to NY." Tony looked around Chinatown. His cousin had invited him to NY, but he was expecting him to arrive tomorrow. Tony decided to enjoy the sights before seeing his cousin...after all, he had never been out of Hawaii his life, so it was about time he left. Tony walked a little, he stepped in some trash and sighed. "I'm pretty sure that a vacation is supposed to be going to a better place. This place certainly isn't Hawaii, but it's not too bad." Tony decided to relax a little. He had heard there was a festival, and wanted to see what it was like.
Tony took the money he had and tried to buy some clothes. He didn't want to stay in his Hawaiian clothes and it was cold compared to what he was used to. However, many refused to sell him anything and were scared by the Tiki mask stuck on his face. It wasn't until his 5th store that an old man would sell him anything. Tony gave the old man a little extra for his kindness. It was nice to see at least someone wasn't scared of him due to his Tiki mask...or face, it was pretty much the same now...
And this was why Tony Makani didn't want to see his cousin as soon as he could. He had no idea how his cousin would react to a tiki mask being stuck to his face, or superpowers. Tony didn't think he would even appreciate it. After all, Tony's cousin had grown up in the continental U.S. and didn't really respect his culture. 'No, no, no." Tony thought, he would enjoy his time here...after all, that is why he came. Tony decided to watch the festival and enjoy as much as he could, while dealing with strangers going "Why are you wearing that mask. Take it off!"
After Tony had gotten bored of watching the festival, he decided to wander around Chinatown. He then realized that this town was worse than he thought. He had noticed many robberies take place, mostly against those who were helpless. Tony, not wanted to use his powers to their fullest extent, stopped them in a much simpler way by making little rocks get in the criminals ways, tripping them and then collecting the money to give back. They were a little frightened at first by Tony, but thanked him when he gave back the money.
Tony continued to stroll until he felt a powerful vibration through the ground, much like an explosion. He followed it to the source to find two guys, an old man, and a girl in pain. Tony quickly decided to hide out of sight and listen to what happened. He didn't want to be involved in whatever they were doing, but he was ready in case he had too.
